Last Saturday (not today but sure took me that long to post this!  ) Bob and I played D&D with our group. Here are some photos of the session! Enjoy!

Here's Logan! One of our gamers, Tam's son. He was so good and played his Star Wars Lego video game.

Our D&D cat, Fluffy aka Balrog. He insists on having his own chair while we are gaming.

As a lot of you may know artwork here is used on Myspace on people's profiles and pages. Artwork taken without permission cause something about the piece spoke of something that they love. Also that many people here are also on Devianart or visa versa.
One day a few weeks ago I went all over Myspace and saw artwork everywhere that has been lifted. And on various subjects. Why not say something you ask? Cause I'll be causing a war on an entire community. I don't think its right and sad but its the price we all pay for putting our artwork here that someone may want to use it. Even without credit or permission.

Now we all know that art thieving is rampant. True art thieves make money and/or take credit for said piece. That said what is this? Artwork used without permission. No money was made nor credit taken. When you look it is obvious that whoever has it on their profile didn't draw it but they also didn't claim credit to the piece. Nor did they credit where they got the piece either.

Now for a step in the right direction:
Please please to all who see a cool piece of artwork that you would like to use on your profile, ask! Most artists would love to be asked. Its flattery. Then in return put the artists' name on it and/or give their site page or something. A little free publicity to the artist always helps.

Artists: I know that art thieving is a very sensitive subject and one I feel strongly about but when you see this happen, kindly please tap the person on the shoulder and ask that credit be given in a polite way. "I'm very happy that you like my piece so much you put it in your profile but please give me credit for my work or take it down." Most people I know of on Myspace would do so. I have only heard of one incident last year that after the offender was asked was drastic action needed.
Most people on Myspace seem to be rational enough where they will honor that request if asked.

So if everyone does the above, everyone gains from it. The artist gets some publicity and their name out there. The other will get to use an art piece. Both may gain a new friend.

All I'm asking now is that both parties do this. Pass this on. I'm sure my artwork is out there like anyone else's but we all threw the dice and hoped for the best. We only wanted to share our love of art with the world. Now I'm hoping thru these words that it can be made better for all involved.

If you agree with the above, please help and pass on.

PS. if you need help getting in contact with an artist and not able to on DA due to not having an account there, please ask me and I will do what I can to help you out. Pass on a message, your email address for contact info, whatever.

Over the weekend was the Rochester Gaming Community (RGC) 24-Hour Gaming day at a local gaming shop here in town. Its the yearly anniversary of the shop and RGC promoted it.
Overall everything went really great. Prizes were given every half-hour. I got a t-shirt with RGC logo on it. I am a member anyway but I did not have a shirt till now. Other prizes were given away like card games, mugs and posters.

I got there about 3:30 pm and left about 1:30 am. I was still going strong but knew if I did not get myself to bed soon I would not be doing much the "next" morning considering it was already morning.

Here are some pictures of the event.

Me. I put my hair back cause I figured it would be a long day.

My young friend Jessica who I met up with at the gaming events along with her sister Katie and brother Michael.

My friend Tony and I goofing around with our cameras. This is his picture that I took while he was taking a picture of me.

Tony playing D&D with others.

Tony running a D&D campaign later in the night.

Tony setting up for a game of D&D. Not hiding the fact that a black dragon is going to show up.

My friend Max (in black and far side of the room) running a Battletech session.

The hostess for the day, Tam. Also my fellow gamer in my husband's D&D campaign.

This gentleman showed up to demo his shoulder dragons that he is having made on mass production. Just a couple of pics.

Gotta love the detail on them.

Lots of different games played: D&D, Heroclix, Star Wars Miniatures, Battletech, lots of different board games and card games for everyone.
A fun time overall and a great way to met lots of new people.

Last Saturday my husband Bob and I went to a Halloween party at a friends' house Nick and Liz. My sister Ginny went along with us.
Bob and I brought tuna salad to share. It was potluck. Had a variety of foods. One brought authentic Mexican which was good.
Mostly we sat around and talk on various subjects. At some points of the evening we somehow got in an uproar of laughter over something. Just a fun evening.
There were about 15 people total.

Here are some photos of the evening. Sorry there are not too many cause it was pretty dark inside the house so it was hard to snap off many photos.

Here are our hosts.
Nick

Not seen are his skeleton-hand gloves and other parts of his costume that he took off due to how hot it was.
Liz.

She's a costume maker. The reason why she chose Raggedy Ann was due to her recent surgery and that the outfit would be nice on her stitches. And also comfortable as a pjs. She tried to get Nick to go as Andy but. . .no.

Kathy

Kathy is a professional costume maker. She got recognized earlier this year in the local newspaper. Also she works out of her home making costumes for other people. I got her business card. She also goes to costume conventions where she competes.

Here is the cake we had. Cute!

Bob didn't dress up. Ginny had a pair of devil horns on. A few others dressed up.
I didn't have too much time to come up with a costume but I quickly threw something together. As one person put up New York-style society dress!

Maybe a day late but I can't believe how time as flown being married. Bob and I have been married two years as of yesterday (April 17th). Doesn't even seem like two years.

Sorry only picture I can find of him at present. There is a lot I want to say but I feel like I may be gushing over him  But I am pretty lucky to find Bob and be married to him.

No the toys are not taking off clothes! Not that kinda strip. . . .

Anyway, I've been at it again with the camera and came up with these. I'm doing a "regular" toy comic strip but I don't know how long I'll be doing it. It and any other toy comic strips will appear here. But all in all its just me having fun with my toys.

Enjoy.

Well for quite some time now WEP has been promising Voltron on DVD. Well finally some good words. I'm sure more news will follow.  Here is what I got in an update from WEP. Horray!!

V-DAY

Victory.

The Day you have all been waiting for.

Your patience has paid off.

Voltron is coming to DVD in 2006!

Visit the all new http://www.voltron.com for more details and an all
new Voltron web experience!

V-DAY HAS ARRIVED.

"From days of long ago, from uncharted regions of the universe, comes a
legend..."

Media Blasters is thrilled to announce its biggest release in the
history of the AnimeWorks label. In conjunction with World Events
Productions, we will be releasing the original, most beloved robot action
animation ever made...VOLTRON: DEFENDER OF THE UNIVERSE! Finally, after years
of waiting, the series that captured the hearts and imaginations of
children and adults alike will be available in special edition DVD boxed
sets beginning in September 2006.

If you put together everything you love about anime, they form VOLTRON!
Before robot shows and Japanese imports took off on American TV, the
world was introduced to a universe of mighty robots, growing monsters and
big-eyed heroes through VOLTRON: DEFENDER OF THE UNIVERSE. With
fantastical alien worlds, breath-taking action scenes, mortal combat,
emotional characters, unique comedy and stark tragedy, VOLTRON went well beyond
the imagination of most American "cartoons". For those who grew up
watching it, VOLTRON provided the spark that set imaginations on fire and
has earned its position as the show that brought a generation into
Anime.

With nostalgic animated TV series seeing a resurgence on DVD, one of
the biggest to ever hit the airwaves remains absent from the shiny
format. VOLTRON was the number one children's program in the United States
during its initial run in 1984. And the nation hasn't stopped talking
about it since.

VOLTRON continues to be shown on television throughout the world,
appears regularly on VH1's "I Love the 80s" and Seth Green's "Robot
Chicken". VOLTRON t-shirts and merchandise are available all over the country.
Recently, comic books were published by Devil's Due and new Voltron
toys were just released by Toynami this year. And with a blockbuster
Hollywood film in the works from producers Mark Gordon (SAVING PRIVATE RYAN)
and Pharrell Williams (N.E.R.D.), along with an all-new animation
coming from Kickstart Entertainment, VOLTRON-mania is in full-force.

VOLTRON has grown into an object of fierce devotion and has become a
part of the American lexicon. With Media Blasters' release of the series
on DVD in September, VOLTRON will become the must-have DVD set of the
year.

"Let's go Voltron Force!"

Humeur actuelle :  plein d’entrain

Before my mother came over to my house to help me shave the cat, I quickly gathered up some toys and the camera in my bedroom and quickly set up the bed so I can take some quick toy pictures for Easter. Then at work on the computer I quickly put these pics thru Paint.

I hope to do more toy pics and maybe do more with them. Well here's to a start. Enjoy.

I know the last one has nothing to do with Easter but it did occur to me about the numbers. Great toys the Devaster set. Been waiting for them since they were announced a couple of years ago.

Haven't done a blog in a while and last night I took the camera out to do a few pics of toys I wanted to show to friends on the net. Figure I'll post them here since a few of them I've never seen anywhere before. I picked up a few of the TF treasures here a couple of weeks ago.

Here are some Energon PVC figures. Supposedly from Japan but I've never seen them before. The tops and bottom parts of them come easily apart to join with another part.

One thing I will learn is how to take better, clear photos as I go on.

Little green jet my friend Jeff picked up for me at last year's BotCon. Dark Optimus I thought to be unique too.

My two Bome ladies.

Lady Death in her different variants and figures. I'm sure I'm missing some somewhere.

Talk about shining the audience. . .

Nothing completes an outfit like a sword.

Here are some later figures of Chaos figures for Lady Death and company. LtoR: Lady Death, Lucifer and Purgatori

All for now.. . .for the desperately trying to make a blog.
