The Infamous Serpent  by Jonny Olsen

Trapped in a torrid tundra
Parched from the intense fireball gleam
An Orange blaze melts the sky
Brown, cracked, earth crumbles beneath
Erupted bursts, hot lava flows
I’m forced to keep my eyes welded shut
From the piercing red light that spurts out
Suffusing in all angles
With strobe beam syncopation
It would viciously burn my eyes white
If I was to give in
To the temptation of the terrain
One little peek around
Would surely entice the cockatrice
She waits eagerly, yearning for eye contact
Just a little attention from
Overly anxious rich curiosity
It would surely jolt her to a ravenous state
Allowing her to lacerate your petty mind
We must, I must keep them closed
Remain blind to her atrocious charisma
From the hill, she flicks out
Her infinite blood crimson slurping tongue
At my eyelids, irking me to open them
To be frozen in her fabulous gaze
To be shredded in her torturous kingdom
To watch my mind rip out from the horror
Torment is her demented nature
She lives tenaciously with her suigeneris megalomania
Am I isolated in this wasteland?
Left alone, sinking in this scorching sand?

No, here comes an illustrious vibration
Thousands of marching feet
A high-pitched screech wails
Throughout the land
She’s lashing out, dictating
To her army of servants
All exiled here as well
Their eyes all gouged out
Juxtaposed with chains
Lined up for miles

The Excess Denied their Efficacy by Jonny Olsen

Anxious hands turn the dial clockwise for the tantalizing taste bud fixation.
Oh! Such a surprising generous dispense. Oops, a few may drop, but no bother, just continue on.

With candy filled chromatic hands, stand there and watch as the colors melt in and stain, changing flesh tones. Flick out that voracious tongue. The salivation fuels the urge. Lick those lips because the time to gormandize has come. Incandescent eyes flare up with fancy. There is plenty more where that came from. You can have more anytime you want. No one pays around here.

Whistle out a mellifluous melody. Hum a little tune. The candyman can because he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good. Feel the anticipation of the upcoming hyper energy thrust. Pick the appealing color. Select the luscious flavor. Let the acquired taste fixation take over, fulfilling the sweet sensation.

Levitate up and away in a perpetual twist with a splashing fruit mist that sprinkles and massages your face. Float around and gyrate freely. Dispense the immense bliss by giving a sweet succulent kiss. Muah!

A soothing breeze caresses and wraps around and holds tight. It tickles your nose making you sneeze out a pungent rainbow blast. Bubbling bundle bursts of laughter empowered with surrounding melodious omnipotence. Swim through the solar spectrum and fly through cosmic sparkling wonders. Watch your body contort and stretch out, meshing with swirling rainbows. Round and round you flow as the whirlpools glow then suck you in.

Plunge back down the portal tube. Slide through flashing then fading light
Drop back down on two then elude. The excess lies scattered about
smashed up and lonesome, denied their efficacy. Left faded with only with a grungy coat of dirt. Here come the yellow bristles, swoosh! Sweeping them away.

Currently I'm in Laos and I just played a concert to help amputee victims of bomb explosions in Laos by giving them prosthetic limbs. The project is called COPE and they help out disabled victims in Laos. I felt very happy to help them out in this concert to raise funds for their project.
I also played a concert for Schools for Kids in Laos Inc. in Winnipeg Canada before I came here to Laos. That was a great success too and the school should be finished in December 2008. I donated $1,000, which would have been my performance fee, to SKIL INC. I feel great to have contributed to such a great project and I plan to help out more projects for Laos in the future.
Currently I'm trying to help out with donating medical/first aid supplies to Laos. I also volunteer by teaching English. It's awesome to help out Laos! Lao People are wonderful and humble people and they deserve all the help they can get. If anyone wants to help out they can contact me. I can then direct whoever wants to help out in the right direction. You can contact me here on myspace or my e-mail-jonnyplayskhaen@hotmail.com

Ok so my album is finished! I spent 4 months in Veintiane, Laos making it with producer/sound engineer Mee(Mega Studio). I practiced everyday. It was really hard but I did my best and I'm happy with what came out. Mee is an awesome producer/sound engineer. You can hear three of my new songs on my profile. "Gued Pit Bon" "Farang Muk Sao Dum" and "Koi Huk Sao Lao."
My dvd will sell here in the U.S.A. I will be selling them at my shows and off the internet. I am the first American to ever make a Lao Folk music album in Laos. Making history! I feel proud to represent Lao music/culture. I will be touring around in America performing khaen and my music. If you want to book a show for me you can contact me at jonnyplayskhaen@hotmail.com Thanks a lot everyone! Khub Jai Lai Lai Due!

Thanks for inviting me to play with you at the Impact Arena in Bangkok. Everyone can see me play with Ponglang Sa-On on their new vcd "Amazing Thailand." There other singers too like Gintara, Nong Biew, and Goong Sutirad. Currently I am not playing with Ponglang Sa-On. I was more like a guest for them. Even though they asked me to join their group, I didn't. I feel like I didn't belong in their group. I want to do my own album and continue learning Morlum and the Khaen Lao. I also want to have the freedom to pick up and go play wherever and with whoever I want. There is something special about Morlum and the khaen that makes me so happy and want to shake my hips and jiggle my butt! The Khaen Lao is the most beautiful instrument and I love showing and playing it for everyone. Personally I think Ponglang Sa-On doesn't need anymore members. People want to see Ead, Lala, and Lulu. As for my future, I didn't want to be stuck in their group not being able to do what I like. Right now I'm making an album in Vientiane. When it is finished I will express my love for the Lao culture and people by playing shows for them in Laos, America and all across the world..
