Hello peoples.

Welcome to my blog!

If you bother to read them, feel free to comment my blogs - I dig that very much! I try to answer all comments but sometimes I just cant or dont for various reasons ranging from "I just I dont have time!" to "I just cant be arsed really..." Sometimes it might take me a while to answer anyway...

There are no real rules here. Im fairly easy going (I think.) Just dont spam me.

Im not a fan of being told what to do by strangers, nor of being given advice when I havent asked for any, and / or dont need any. Im a grown woman, I have a good head on my shoulders. If I havent asked for help then you may assume that I am perfectly capable of weighing up a situation and making my own choices.

Tips and opinions though are very appreciated no matter how differing they might be to my own though.

This is just a blog, it doesnt need to be taken too seriously.

Im left-handed, I have a lovely range of typical left-handed traits including not being particularly good at spelling. I am long past caring about this and am not going to appologise for it.

I am a careless typer - I often dont hit the shift key at the right time meaning fewer capital letters than there should be. Im not going to appologise for that either even though this time it is my own sheer carlessness causing the mistakes.

I am also very vague at times and have been known to miss out huge chunks of relevant information when telling a story. Other times I feel that some things are so obvious they dont need to be stated. Sometimes this is just my blog and I dont care if it really makes sense or anything  There is no point at all to this paragraph.

Some things I only blog about on my preferred list. If you want to be on it just ask. Often I will need your myspace email to add you. If you dont want to leave it in a comment just mail it to me*. If youre not on my preferred list your not generally missing much though, the grass isnt greener over there or anything!

I use a lot of smileys and exclamation marks because I am almost always exceedingly happy and laughing. Its very rare to find me in a bad or sad mood these days. I hope that comes across

Oh - one more thing. My blog is the quickest most sure way to find and contact me. I am hopless with any other form of communication as anyone whos mailed me in any way shape or form, rang me, IM'd me, or sms'd me will know. I do appologise for this lovely friends!!!!! xoxoxoxox Like my blog comments, I do try to get back to sms's and phone calls eventually even if it takes weeks... months...  But, if you want my attention then here is definatly the place.

Hello, how is everyone, well and happy I hope?!

I really dont seem to have time lately for myspace and now i have even less time than before due to a new forum which is keeping me surprisingly busy, busy currently in terms of net time - its a work related forum so no url sharing, sorry, lol. Im also mostly using my phone for internet which is slightly limiting as much as it is great. Im trying to get wireless on my laptop but for some reason - even though i was approved whilst in WA (I didnt bother cos there was no network access where we were going) I have been knocked back this time - even though i have a phone plan with the same company... Hopefully I shall resolve this soon. Anyway, enough of that before i go too much off track...

I just wanted to check in really, I miss blogging and keeping in touch with everyone.

I am spending more time in Sydney lately than expected but in theory life should go back to its previous irregular regularity before too much time passes although with allmost everyone I know birthdays and Xmas coming up before the years up maybe not, lol. I am itching to get back to my hula hoops - I have a new type of hoop I am pleased with and so will be doing Voodoo Hoops as well as Circle Of Light Hula Hoops.

Things with the new man are going fab so far. Things at home are good too. Work is sort of shit, lol... very shit really but Im not going to piss and moan about it.

I guess id better post this before my time runs out. Im in an internet cafe. Tootle pip!

I am so not a morning person. Even if i sleep well it still seems to take my brain until afternoon to wake up properly. Before i went to bed last night i made a mental note of stuff i need to do today, can i think of what it all is? Lol. I am staying in sydney an extra few days. One thing i do need to do is chase up my bass amp and get it moved. Im not sure how yet but i guess thats one thing i could be getting on with.

I have a new hobby / interest and I need metal shavings - copper, aluminium or steel preferably. Im not sure how Im going to go about getting them  do I know anyone who works with metal and has scraps?

In other news I dont have much other news but Im off to Sydney on Wed and also hoping to move house soon, fingers crossed!!! More on that later. World hoop day is coming up this week and I hope to join The Hoop Empire / Hoopaholics for a wee while in Sydney on the day - althoughlast year i was in Sydney but didnt make it. I have some hoops made up ready to give away though - more ifi can just find some damned connectors

I have somenew hoops coming which I am excited about. Its a side project to COL and I cant see anyone else doing what I am. I cant wait to work more on the ideas!

More on that soon.

I feel like Im going through a period of change at the moment - not a bad one over all, just different. I feel like my hair is going to be chopped off within the next few months - although actually doing it will be hard I expect and maybe its going to be time to get a day job too. I worked hard for those 2-3 months last year and it was great. Since ive hardly bothered at all. When i have made the effort its been crappy more often than not and somewhere along the line i realize maybe I should give it up completely sooner rather than later and move on to something else.

I missed what Im sure would have been a great gig tonight with great people but I couldnt justify eating into anymore savings. For once i actually felt like going out though! Anyway, there will be more gigs and more good times. My liver Im sure is loving that i have barely touched alcohol for 2 months. (Well there were those 2 crazy nudge-nudge, wink-wink days which cant exactly be described as "barely" and one other gig but thats all )

Well I could type more but Im sitting at an uncomfortable angle!

I am knee deep in hoops at the moment - about 20-30 partially made or made and waiting to go somewhere... I am off to hopefully get some more supplies today - still in search of the ideal connectors though which is a shame as half of the hoops I have here are not really beginner hoops and I need connectors to finish the heavier hoops which are easier to use and the main ones I want to give away... Im going to be giving away some of both but theres no point giving away only something that is hard to start with.

Anyway take a look at the page  Eventually I would like some more and better photos on there. I also need to finish writing up a list of costs as since I am accepting donations I think its a good idea to be able to show where / how far the $ go. Another half arsed blog.

Its been a strange week and a half, I havent done much really. The tour seems so long ago now and it hasnt even been that long.

The last two weekends of course ive done some serious partying and catching up with friends which has been total fab. In between ive done lots of not much.

The nudge-nudge, wink-wink seriously rocked, I had such a great weekend aside from 2 full days of hangovers in between the partying - I think everyone did!

Last night was a party up the creek and i dont think Ive laughed so hard since 1999. (It was around 1999 when we last all hung out together i think though obviously some of us still hang out sometimes) I can only imagine what it would have been like if we could have combined people from both weekends. It makes me want to throw a big party, god i love my friends!!!

I really need to make myself go to work soon. I sometimes wonder how i shall get through the next 20 or years of having to work regularly when i cant strip anymore. I have some very loose plans as in work. I shall probably go to Sydney to start with. I just hope for the best as unfortunatly Ill be surprised if its good. I dont know exactly when and i dont know exactly for how long but Im pretty broke so probably next week  Then Im not sure, but probably somewhere else and Im still making up my mind as to which place.

I do have hula hoop news but it shall wait until later in the week. Something has to be said though and that is that Will is fucking fantastic!!!

Today i had plans to do various stuff that needed doing but ive just procrastinated the whole day really. Im hating the cooler weather. Our house is so cold and it makes me spend stupid amounts of time in bed. Its actually warmer outside most of the time. I cant wait for things to warm up again, I want to be doing things!!! At least in reality i dont have too much to do, but i would like to get my last bit of paperwork done and id like to get the last of those letter sorted out and Id like to throw out a tiny bit more stuff, then Ill be fairly happy  Im also slightly peeved about the cold and being in bed so much because i really wanted to do some stuff in the daytime but Ive failed so much at getting my body clock around the other way i just give up.

Gosh I guess I didnt finnish my tour blog, lol. Oh well - it may come, who knows...

I have applied this weekend to become an ambassador for World Hoop Day - anyone can do this, its not a job application, its volantry. I really think its a good cause though - and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE making hoops so it seems like a perfect thing for me to do!

It struck me when I was in Broome that it would be so easy for me to donate hoops as I travel. I had a heap of hoop material with me left over from a personal hoop I had made because id had to buy bulk. I had met three really lovely girls on my first day in Broome and thought Id make some hoops for them before i left. Only when i went back hoping to find them I didnt. It just so happened that The Aboriginal land Council was really close by and so I thought id drop in and see if theyd take the hoops. They seemed pleased though rather surprised. I guess its not everyday some chick with floor length hair walks in with an armfull of hula hoops (6)  I thought to myself - i can do this anywhere to all sorts of organizations!

Ok so Im not meeting 3rd world kids on my journeys but I still think I can put smiles on faces. Its nice to give and hooping is fun, cheap and healthy!

I am going to continue to fund myself but I am going to look into finding some funding for supplies also. I shall sell hoops to people (adults) who can afford them or maybe some would like to make a donation. I have a couple of other ideas too for down track. Im quite excited about it!

Oh yes, Ive also decided (finally!) on the name "Circle of Light Hoops" . I liked Darkstar Hoops but feel that COL is a way more positive name - and it annoyed me how no one associated darkstar with astronomy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COL seems to reflect my outlook on life (I think anyway, lol) and although i like quirky names like Coola-Hoops and Hu La la which is brilliant, I dont feel like being quirky about it so there :-D
I think im pretty happy with the name anyway - I certainly havent come up with anything else, and yes those two quirky examples are taken (-:

    There are many aid organizations who provide food and medical relief, but what about the mental welfare of a child who grows up too quickly and hardly has a reason to smile or play or just be a child?  To date 1,100 hoops have been given away, and a total amount of $1,500 has been raised.  The simple hoop has positive physical and mental health benefits, stimulates imaginations, and enables feelings of pure joy and bliss.

My flight home has been booked - a second time but this time i definatly have to go. I shall be home in the early morning of July 9th. I have a long over night crazy fight, lol. From Broome around 8pm, to Perth with a few hours to kill, to Melbourne, then to the Gold Coast arriving around 8am, lol.
I probably wont get to see much of Broome which will be a shame but it will be nice to go there anyway. I hope to hell we get there nice and early!
Ive had a lot of fun on the tour, its been great! The last week or two hasnt been as blog worthy as the first but the sights are still amazing and the places we visit lovely! We are currently in Port Headland, There isnt much here really but there is something lovely about the place.
There is the greenest grass Ive ever seen in a park here and in contrast everywhere (else) Is so red with dusty here - even the ends of y hair are red from the dust. In the park when the sun is starting to fade it fees quite surreal with the surroundings being all red and green and the sky a shining a bright shade of gold and blue. The park has several black iron silhouettes of people and a couple of frames standing high. Its very striking.
Im not sure what the future holds right now - but I like my life like that anyway (-:
Regardless, I like to think as I may have said before - this is not the end, this is just the beginning!
