I will no longer be posting Yellowstone Newspaper updates here; it's just an increasingly tedious re-packaging of what's already online made more difficult by the way Myspace has been interpreting the HTML on my Web site in recent months.

6/26/08 Tearing through Yellowstone (by Jonathan Fretheim)--I met several people biking across the U.S. when I biked and hiked in Yellowstone; I rarely met or have seen on a blog people who were biking just to bike through Yellowstone, which I never understood. Several bikers I met seemed to feel as though they had made a mistake spending so much time in places they didn't want to see to race through a place they did.

6/19/08 Mexican catle weren't source of outbreak, they say (by Jennifer McKee Billings Gazette)--this article misrepresents the press release; what the release said was not that the Corriente cattle was the source of the outbreak but rather questioned why that hadn't been properly investigated; personally, it changes nothing for me if elk are the source of the outbreak (it actually wouldn't change anything if bison were, though that's not actually possible here); also we never say in the release that corrientes are the reason to pull out from the IBMP, which is a total misrepresentation on her part
