Greetings all,
It has been awhile since I have blogged/wrote on this fascinating place, we know as myspace. Many of you have sent me messages asking, "Do I still write blogs" and my personal favorite "Why did you stop"?
Well, I never really stopped writing and reflecting on todays society and the issues/debates/current events in it. I just stopped posting what I wrote. There are many topics- subjects, debates, current events that very interesting that should be debated. I want to touch on them and give others a place who are interested, a place to voice their thoughts, opinions and experiences also.
Expressing ones self, is almost a lost form of communication these days. Or better yet, expressing yourself freely, but in an "intelligent manner" ( I do express the "intelligent manner" strongly, think about what you say or write, before you express it). Maybe it is the fear of offending others and in some areas of this great world...offending the powers that be and ending up arrested, beaten, chastised or even losing your life. Maybe we have been programmed to not have our own opinions and thoughts, but I don’t beleive that, I know from my previous experiences with blogging that many of you have strong opinions and thoughts on a variety of topics that surprised me and probably yourselves.
I personally have been in the constant "questioning stage" as long as I can remember. I’ve even been told, that I think too much...ironic isn’t it? Maybe thats why I bite my tongue alot, don’t watch to much t.v. or listen to the radio. But despite that, I would rather drive a 745 or a Cadillac Escalade than ride a bike. I have a capitalistic mind but I want a revolution and to eradicate poverty so we can all eat. I don’t think thats complex at all. I am sure we all feel this way, but most likely, we don’t express it for fear of what friends may say or think of us, and thats perfectly fine. But for me, myself and I- I am going to write it, speak it and most importantly live it.
So, with that said, J-The Truth is back at it. Feel free to send suggestions, rants, raves and comments, etc.
And like I have on my headline- "The Truth is speaking...you should listen...
Take care until next time,
J-The Truth

The Jena-6 Greetings all,
The Jena 6. I am sure you all have heard of this disturbing story of racism that has occured, even in todays, so called advanced and open society. Here is some background on the case.
Six black teenagers were charged with the beating of a white teenager at Jena High School in Jena, Louisiana, United States, on December 4, 2006. The six black students were initially charged with attempted second degree murder and conspiracy to commit second degree murder.
The beating followed a number of racially-charged incidents in the town, notably when three white students hung nooses from a tree at Jena High school following a black student asking if he could sit under the tree, that was only for white students.
The case has sparked many protests and much debate about our country's state of racial affairs.
I want to know what do you all think about this case? What do you think our state of racial affairs is? Is it fair and equal like people claim it to be? Is it "tipped" in another races "favor"? Or, are black people just pulling the "race card"...as many like to say?
Share your thoughts, opinions and experiences!
Take care,
Josh aka J-The Truth

Barack Obama- A black man as President?
Greetings all, Today's topic is about the current democratic presidential nominee, Barack Obama. As we all know, he is the first African-American/Black candidate to make it as far as he has since Jesse Jackson in the 1980's. As we know, all of the past presidents have been white men. This time around, there is an African-American (Obama) and even a woman (Hillary Clinton) that are the most visible and well known candidates for the President of The United States.
The reason I bring up this topic is partly because of this country's long history of racism and discrimination. My question is, will Obama face racism and discrimination because of his race? Will voters take him seriously as a candidate? Will white voters just view him as a "black people's President" instead of the President of The United States and for all races, colors and creeds?
Let me know what you think in my blog entitled "Barack Obama- A black man as President?"
Take care,
Josh aka J-The Truth

Greetings all,
This time, I will not post a actual question or a defined topic, but personal rant about how I feel sometimes. I ask questions to myself all the time and I am stumbling upon the answers to some of them, but most of the time, I don't find the answers.
I love this world and life itself. Despite that, I also see this world is filled with and built on lies and deception. Many of us walk around deceiving someone and especially ourselves in the process of life. WE buy objects of our 'affections' not for their practical usage, but because the advertisement was full of bright lights, bangs, booms or it was 'sexy'.
We are being deceived or maybe I shouldn't use such a strong word...misled is probably better, everywhere we look. Why? We are fed lies about products and events, but what for? The sad thing is that, most people don't even at least question the events in our lives or look beyond their own 'personal space'. Its odd how the world works, the people in power, control everything we see.
I read this quote recently and it stood out to me and made me post this blog.
"Many men are slaves because one is an oppressor; let us hate the oppressor."
That is the attitude most people have, but there is another quote that sums up how I feel about this.
"One man is an oppressor because many of us are slaves; let us despise the slaves."
Share with me, how you feel about this? Or am I just crazy...?

Greetings all,
Cancer- I am sure we all have known someone personally (friends and/or family) or may even have cancer or a scare with cancer in our lives. I personally know of many people that have cancer, have had scares with cancer and have died from its complications. My father has cancer and I have lost many aunts and uncles to cancer of all types in my life time. Lately, I have been wondering, what is cancer? Where does it come from? Where did it originate? I have read many history books and the word 'cancer' was not mentioned or maybe I just missed it. Cancer is a more recent phenomenom that has destroyed lives of those who have it and those who are around them. It can totally disable a persons body in a matter of months and sometimes weeks. More money and good insurance can slow it down with medical treatments and medicines, but even that is a pain. I am also confused that we use the same 'laser and burn' techniques, which causes hair loss, burns, scars and other complications. Using 'cancerous laser rays' to combat cancer...seems kind of odd to me.
I know smoking causes cancer- but where do the other cancers come from? They say its hereditary- but when was cancer first discovered? Does it come from poor eating habits, lack of exercise, stress or something else?
Share with me your knowledge, thoughts, opinions and experiences.

Are you in love with a toy? Greetings all, Todays topic is "toys", yes I said toys, and not the kind your tykes play with. I am talking about those lil' intimate toys you keep in that old shoe box or the nightstand, aka SEX TOYS! I know from my dealings with women that quite a few of you have "a little battery operated friend". And I've even heard many of you crazy women say you don't need a man as long as you have your toys. So ladies, what's the real skinny on toys? Do you own one, two or twelve? Why do women use toys anyway (like I don't know the overwhelming response to that one)! Can it truly be a replacement for the "real thing"? Share with me your opinions, thoughts and experiences (keep it clean now) in my blog entitled "Are you in love with a toy?"
Take care,
Josh aka J-The Truth

Abusive Relationships
Abusive relationships, and my question this time is why do women and even some men stay in abusive relationships? And by abuse I mean physical, verbal, mental or any other type of abuse I failed to mention.
Is fear the reason people stay? What kind of fear is it? Do you think love makes people stay in abusive relationships? Have you or anyone you've known been in one? What did you or they do about this unhealthy relationship?
Share with me your thoughts, opinions and experiences in my blog entitled "Abusive Relationships".
Take care,
Josh aka J-The Truth

Greetings all,
I'm sure you all have heard about the tragic death of our generations most well known celebrities- Anna Nicole Smith. She was once a former model for Guess Jeans and a Playboy Playmate. She was also the star of her own reality show. She was known for living a wild and crazy lifestyle. From partying, to marrying a 90 year old dying oil tycoon, to her weight issues and relationships, it was all part of the celebrity gossip columns and t.v. shows.
The true causes of her death are not totally known as of yet. Her death has caused even more problems for her. There is a custody battle for her child. Numerous men saying they are the "baby's daddy". And who is going to take possession of her estate?
What do all of you think of this celebrity situation? Do you think she is the modern day equivalent of Marilyn Monroe? Is she a 'tragic figure'? Do you believe as some do...that this was her ultimate fate?
Share with me your opinions on my blog entitled "Anna Nicole Smith- What do you think?"

Public opinion of gays
Greetings,
Todays topic is the publics opinion of gays. The gay population has become more acceptable for people to openly claim. But as we all know, there still are many obstacles that gays face in their fight for total acceptance.
What do you think? Is society more accepting? Are there still misconceptions and stereotypes? If so, what do you think they are? Do you agree with homosexuality? Why do you or why don't you?
Share with me your opinions in my blog entitled "Public Opinion of Gays".
Take care,
Josh aka J-The Truth
