Current mood:  high

Yesterday was my 2 year anniversary with Jason. I can't believe it's been 2 years already. It's gone by so fast. I still remember the time before we officially started dating – all those sms's late into the night, the butterflies before we met up for drinks, our first date! I was so nervous on our first date – I have never experienced that feeling before, and I never have again. Jason told me that he had smoked a couple of cigarettes just waiting for me to show up. Haha! So the feeling was mutual.

So yesterday as I said, we celebrated 2 years of ups and downs. Jason told me last week that he had planned something and that we had to leave the house at 8am, no questions asked. Of course I bugged him to tell me where we were going, but he didn't budge. So after we exchanged our gifts yesterday morning (he got me a gorgeous ring with a pink stone and a voucher from Identity, and I bought him tickets to the Mad Caddies show and a t-shirt) we got into the car and off we went! Jason had packed a little "goodies" bag with Ice Tea, chips and chocolates for the drive!

After driving for about 30 mins, I could see that we were headed to Hartbespoort Dam. We got there around 9:30 and headed to a cute little double story café over looking the dam, and had breakfast. After that, we drove around and made some stops at a couple of craft markets. We almost bought a Hubbly but decided to get one in JHB instead – there is more variety at the flea markets here. Then we went to a place called "Pick a Pancake" for drinks. I was still too full from breakfast to order anything to eat, so I ended up having a chocolate milkshake and Jase ordered a Black Label. The weather was perfect for it – very hot!!

We ended up at another craft market place that had a couple of restaurants and a snake park! Of course, I wanted to go check out the snakes, and we had made it just in time for a mini-snake show. The guy there pulled out a Cobra, and Puff Adder! Crazy mofo! The last snake he showed was a 30 kg albino Burmese Python. The thing was huge, and such a beautiful yellow and white colour! He came around to everyone and let us touch it (the snakes frikken tail fell off the side of the wall and almost onto my leg, arrgh ), and after the show he started asking people if they wanted to hold the huge thing! And Jason surprised me because he volunteered, and he hates snakes! So the guy slung this huge THING over Jason's shoulders. It was pretty funny – the look on Jason's face was priceless, and I got a good photo of him and the snake too.

After the show we walked around the park checking out all the snakes, and then had lunch at a restaurant outside under some trees and umbrella's, and they had little mist sprays over the tables – very refreshing in the heat!

After lunch we headed home, traveling through the town and checking out the houses and neighborhoods. We got home around 16H00 and just chilled. Jason really spoilt me yesterday – we both had a great day. Here's to another year!!!

PS. I love you lots baby!!!

Current mood:  cheerful

Short blog...

I'm super excited for February to roll around. I cant wait to go to Cape Town with Jason and just RELAX! I've come to the conclusion that living in a big city sucks sog balls.

We're flying Mango Airlines  With all the rumours going around, I just pray that we make it there in one piece, haha. And then we're going to stay at a beach house...so looking forward to long walks on the beach, lounging by the pool, drinking cocktails at sun set. Maybe some sex on the beach...hahaha

And then, in March Jase & I celebrate 2 years of being together - and still going strong.

Wow...2 years. Seems like a long time, but it doesn't feel like it's been that long. I'm so grateful to have him in my life. He's the only one that understands me and puts up with my shit...hehe. Lord knows I waded through the trash to get through to him. Love you baby!!

Current mood:  happy

When: Saturday 2 December 2006

Where: Evolution Tattoos Roodepoort

Artist: Marcus

Anyone who knows me knows that I have wanted a tattoo for a long time, and I've been speaking about getting one for even longer. There was always "something" in standing in the way – usually the design! I am so undecided that it took a lot of searching for me to find something I "kinda" liked. I knew I wanted a star design, and I knew it would be on my wrist.

About 2 months ago, I finally settled on a design but never got around to calling Marcus (the guy who I wanted to do my tattoo at Evolution in Roodepoort). Last Thursday I was surprised when Jason smsed me and said that he had called Marcus, who said we could go in for the tattoo on Saturday. It would be a first come first serve basis, so we should be there early. I was nervous but excited and thought "it's now or never"

So on Saturday we arrived at around 10:45 and saw that Marcus was in the back room. After he came out, he chatted to us briefly and had a look at my design and gave his opinion on it. He had another girl before us for a tattoo so Jason and I went to Mugg & Bean for breakfast. When we came back, all hell broke loose. Max who usually works at Evolution as well was not in, and was coming later and poor Marcus was left with the task of helping every single customer that came in – and there were tons!

Suddenly the school holidays are upon us and every damn teenager in the country came in to get something pierced. To cut a LONG story short, I finally sat down in the chair at around 2pm!  I was so nervous – not because I was scared of the pain, it was just the buildup to that day and the fact that I'd been waiting for so long – the fear of the unknown!

Everyone asks about the pain, and it really wasn't that bad – although Marcus did say the wrist was a kak place to have a tattoo…haha. The outline was worse than the shading, but not unbearable. It was done in about 30 mins and started to sting a bit, but after that I haven't really had any pain. The only shit thing is now the skin is peeling away and it looks crap – like sunburn! But it should come right in a day or two. Im happy with it…so far, hehe.

Jason also got another tattoo…I like it!

Current mood:  okay

Ok, so it's become abundantly clear to me that giving friends and family magazine Gift Subscriptions has become my XMAS Gift "thing" to do this year. And what a fucking fantastic idea it was!

Who wouldn't want to receive 12 FREE issues of their favourite magazine, delivered directly to their postbox? (Someone get me one for Glamour magazine please)

And since my company falls under the Media24 umbrella, I get an additional discount. Yay me!

So far, I've only bought 2 subscriptions:

Mens Health for Jason & Sarie for my dad's girlfriend.

I rock.

Moving along, last night I went for SUSHI! At Jungle, with Tracy. I must say, now that I've visited Rainbow and Jungle in the recent weeks, I much prefer Rainbow's sushi. It tastes...fresher?? Not the fish, but the seaweed. I know, it sounds weird.

Anyways, it was fun. My only complaint is that we definitely had a RETARD for a waiter...seriously, what an idiot. And the food took too long to arrive, but whatever. Good thing I was in a good mood, otherwise they would've felt my wrath  Hehehe! I tried deep fried ice cream for the first time, and my god is it delicious! I think I have found a new favourite dessert

Current mood:  okay

Ok, I'll admit it. I think I may have over reacted this morning to something that came up between Jason and I.  I hate how I act like a complete spoilt brat when I don't get my way with certain things. I mean, I felt a bit pissed off this morning for a good reason, but to be fair to Jason, it was something that was out of his control as well. But it's all fixed now, so I feel better.

I think I may be "high maintenance", but in a different way than the stereotypical view...you know, clothes, makeup, money etc. Is there such a thing as emotional high maintenance? If there is, I could be the poster child.

I had half a Debonairs Chicken Filler pizza with a work collegue today. Ok, not exactly half, less than half - 3 slices out of 8 and I'm stuffed. Wow! But just looking at that thing makes you pick up 5KG's. Gotta make sure I don't eat anymore junk this week. Speaking of eating, I'm going for Sushi tomorrow night with friends at Jungle. I can't wait! I've been craving sushi since last week. I think Jason is tired of heraing me talk about it, haha! Women and food eh?

I'm looking forward to going home and crashing in front of the TV.
