War Child Event Competition

Warchild Event

Kasabian to line up along-side fellow Brit Award nominees La Roux and Calvin Harris plus other special guests in aid of War Child.

This special event follows the Brits Awards on the 16th February, taking place at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London.

All profits from the event aid War Child’s work with children in war zones across the world.

NME nominations

Last week the BRIT Awards, this week the NME Awards and this time Kasabian are up for SIX awards across the following categories:

Best Live Act
Best Video for Fire
Best Artwork for West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum
Best Album for West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum
Best British Band

The sixth category is the brand new Giving It Back Fan Award which rewards bands who go the extra mile for fans. Kasabian and Noel Fielding are nominated for the Vlad The Impaler collaboration.

Double Brit Nomination for Kasabian

The band have been nominated twice in this year's Brit Awards, it was announced last night. The categories are British Band and Mastercard British Album. A full list of nominees can be found on the Brits Website.

It was also announced that the band will be performing at the awards, alongside JLS, Lady Gaga and Florence and the Machine.
