Alabama has been my home for the last 20 years. 

My husband was born along the Flint River in Hazel Green,  about a mile from where we live.  He left when he joined the Air Force.  We met in Alaska.  After several years we decided to move South and get warm, so we returned to Alabama.  Now I don't think I will be able to get him out of here. LOL. 

Actually, it is now home.  We love living here, except for all the allergies.  When they harvest the Cotton, my allergies really start to act up. 

I miss the mountains of Alaska, but Alabama has it's own charm and beauty.

I moved to Alaska in 1957 when I was 11 and lived there for 30 years.  Then we decided to go south and get warm or see what we were missing by living in Alaska.

Truth is, we weren't really missing anything.  Alaska is God's country and I really miss the Mountains and environment.

I may live in the South now, but my heart is still in Alaska.
