Current mood:  animated
hello all. just a small update on what's going on my way......

2010 is looking bright. I'm anxiously awaiting to get back in the studio and start recording album #3. I've been writing. A lot.
2010 is going to be a busy touring year. Taylor, Gloriana, and myself are touring together again this year on the Fearless tour. After the Fearless tour I am hopping on another tour...which I have not yet been giving permission to talk about. So, I'm gonna change subjects so I don't get myself in trouble with my big mouth. I WILL say that "I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED ABOUT TOURING WITH _______ ______ FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE YEAR!!!!!! Whew, that was close!!

I recently just got back from my third USO tour. On this tour I traveled to Kuwait and Iraq. This picture was taken after a ride on a Chinook. While in Iraq we generally travel either in a Chinook or a Black Hawk. I'm in the middle of planning my next trip to go back!!

Now, on a serious note. This is what happens when you get me and my friend Hilary Williams on Photo Booth.

Oh yeah! Hubba Hubba!! hahahahahahaha!!!!!!

Until next time!!....Love you all!!! xo pickles!!

Kellie’s New Pixie Cut!

First Kellie Pickler shocked fans by debuting new auburn hair at the CMA Awards, and then just a month later she was back to her signature blonde. Now the country star is giving PEOPLE readers a first look at an equally bold new do — a short crop! So what prompted Kellie to try a pixie cut? “My hair started falling out!” Pickler explains. “It was so damaged I looked like a scarecrow so I chopped it off!” During her recent USO trip to the Middle East, where she entertained and visited with troops in Iraq and Kuwait, her hair began falling out as a result of transitioning from blonde to red and back again. “I had two choices — look like a scarecrow or cut it,” she says. Though the style was dictated out of necessity, Pickler says that she’s pleased with her new look, which recalls one of her own country idols. “Having short hair makes me feel like I set my self apart [style wise] from the other women in country music,” she says. “I remember being in love with Lorrie Morgan’s hairstyles growing up. I’ve always thought she was beautiful and confident.” And what does her boyfriend, Nashville songwriter Kyle Jacobs, think? “Kyle could care less. He’d love me if I was bald, and vice-versa,” she says. “What he and I have is very special. Unconditional. God blessed me with a good man.” And now, also, a very good haircut!

After taking a few weeks off during the Christmas holiday, singer songwriter Kellie is already packing her bags for another eventful year which begins with her third USO Tour. In preparation for the trip Pickler Tweeted, “Started packing for my USO Tour. Think I’m gonna leave the Red High Heels at home for this trip. It’s easier to jump in/out of helicopters in flats.”

Although details of the trip are kept secret, past tours have included visits to troops in ..Afghanistan.., ..Iraq.., ....Kosovo.., ..Germany...., and last year the other artists on the tour included Kid Rock and The Zac Brown Band. This year, in addition to Kellie, Jamey Johnson and Randy Houser will be on the Tour.

Pickler can be seen in the January issue of Shape Magazine where she’s featured on the “Healthy Hollywood” page, and she talks about eating healthy, hanging out with happy people and surrounding herself with people that inspire her. She also talks about her Kindle and what she’s currently reading.

As her current hit single, “Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved,” continues to climb the country singles chart, it follows in the wake of her Top 10 single, “Best Days Of Your Life,” both from her current self-titled album. The music video was fan-voted one of the Top Ten videos of 2009 on GAC.

Eight Minutes With Kellie Pickler

Kellie PicklerThat's all the time she had, but I wasn't going to let that stop me from asking Kellie Pickler every single question I had about her appearance this Sunday (Nov. 8) on ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. And then some. Luckily, I talk fast and she talks even faster. She called me from Nashville, and we jammed as many Qs and as we could into our allotted time.

CMT.com: What was it like telling the Terpenning family they were getting a new house?

Pickler: It was one of the most beautiful things. That family is so deserving, so it was such a blessing. The whole show is about embracing one another and coming together. One of the most emotional parts was seeing 200 people marching down the street to come and help.
What was more fun: the demolition or the building?
Demo day! I like to break things. I don't have a lot of anger, but being able to do whatever you want -- like punching holes in the walls -- was great. I loved busting out the toilet with a sledgehammer.
How'd you learn to be so handy around the house?
My grandpa was an electrician, so I'd go on jobs with him when I was little. I'm very hands-on. I could wire your house and hook up your thermostat.
Random question time: What's with the brown hair?
I just thought it'd be fun to try something different, you know, because it's fall. I'll probably go back to blonde after the CMAs.
And what's your favorite song on Carrie Underwood's new album?
"Someday When I Stop Loving You." I love how real it is and how it showcases her soft, beautiful vocals. Great pipes on that one.

Kellie will show fans her spooky side as the featured guest on tomorrow’s Halloween episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.  On returning to the long-running talk show, Kellie said “Ellen is one of my favorite people, and Halloween is my favorite holiday, so to be able to share it with her will make it extra special this year!”  And Ellen is equally excited to have Kellie on the show, as she posted on her website today, “She has such a fun personality, I could just let her talk the entire time. Sometimes I don't really have a choice -- she just keeps going!”

This week also finds Kellie named as Country Weekly's Most Beautiful Woman for the second year in a row in the November 2 issue of the magazine, on newsstands now.

Fans can also tune in to see Kellie lend a hand to build a new home for the Terpenning family on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which airs November 8 on ABC.   As the celebrity volunteer, the country starlet trades in her stiletto heels for a hard hat and hammer as she helps with the demolition and building process, as well as performs at the family’s final and emotional reveal.

Kellie’s newest heart-wrenching single, “Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You,” from her self-titled sophomore album is currently climbing up the country charts.
