I am now working as a talent scout for Peak Hour Music, a label I work very closely with and have released a bulk of my remixes with.

Saturday night.....the club had just closed and i was turning off the projectors, amps, equipment...etc.  Right before that I had pulled out my keys and set them on the table in the dj booth.  Somehow they were knocked off onto the floor.  When my keys fell, they landed on top of a girls shirt that she had left under the booth.  The moral of the story...she accidentally took my keys when she grabbed her shirt thinking they were hers.  Of course I had no idea what happened, I'm frantically searching for my keys as I have an afterhours gig I need leave for.  I end up missing my show (which I never do, I could be on my death bed, not goin to miss a show!!).  I go home pissed off because there is no spare key for my car.  I spend all day sunday calling tow trucks and locksmiths.  I'm looking at spending about $400 bucks to get my car towed and keys programmed.  I go back to the club Sunday night to spin and the girl who took my keys comes out to the club and gives them back to me thanks to a little investigating by my friends Chaos and Ronn.  My mood goes from shitty to elated!  So after citywalk closes I go to my car and it seems my battery has run down and my car won't start.  This really sucks because there isn't really anyone around.  As I start to panic I see a group of guys walk by.  I yell "hey can you guys help me out?!) and they don't respond.  I start walking toward them trying to get somebody's attention.  Still no response.  I finally yell "hey my battery is dead, can someone give me a jump, i've got the cables!"  Finally one of the guys turns around and says "yeah i can help you, i'll give you a ride to your car".  I say "it's okay i'll stay with my car" and he says "well how am i supposed to know where you are" to which i reply "i'm in that lot right over there (and i point to the very visible lot and my vehicle)".  During this time his asshole friend tells me to "call 911" and keeps walking.  I even ask "are you actually going to come back or are you just saying that?"  One of his other friends (someone i actually know and have talked to on a number of occasions) tells me they will be back.  I wait and wait and wait, nobody shows up.  Keep in mind it's about 2:15 in the morning.  I don't think they had any intention of coming back, what a classy group of guys!  Finally a couple of guys who work at citywalk come out and they give me a jump off their car.  THANK YOU!!!  Everything worked out, I made it home and now I"m writing this rambling blog.

I guess what I'm getting at is its amazing how shitty some people can be when its so easy to be nice.  The girl that took my keys could have tossed them, but she didn't.  She brought them back and did the right thing.  It took 2 minutes out of their time for the guys who helped me start my car and they really saved my ass. 

If you don't want to help someone, fine, you don't have to, but don't fucking lie and say you will.  Especially when it's late at night and the person is alone.  How shitty can you be?!

It's the little things we do that define us.  You don't have to be a super hero, doing the smallest thing for someone or going just a little bit out of your way to make someone's day better can make all the difference.  I guess my experience this weekend was a big reminder of that. 

Anyway, it's late, i'm babbling and tired.  Sorry for the rant, it's bed time!
