Today being Mother's Day I thought I would share something about my Mom.


I grew up in a large family, the oldest of seven kids. My first memory of Mom was her continuously saying as we ran around the living room: "Sacred heart of Jesus preserve me."  In recent years I have often said to friends:  "I am not saying my Mom is spiritual, but up until I was about 5 I thought my name was -Sacred Heart of Jesus please preserve me."

Sometimes I would lose track of time and arrive home late for dinner.  One such time I arrived home covered from head to toe in dirt having been playing on a building site.
I was banished to my room without food.  My mother waited about two hours until the coast was clear, and brought food into my darkened room.

A couple of years ago she told me when she was engaged to my Dad, someone sent him a letter trying to dissuade him from marrying her.  That person asked my father to look into the circumstances of her mother's death.  My grandmother died when my Mom was 3.  I remember when I heard this it was like my existence disappeared through a crack in the Universe, a Marty Mc Fly moment.  My Dad came back and told my Mom: " We are getting married and that's that.

About five ago we were on a trip.  From the back seat she came up with this comment: "Two men looked out through prison bars.  One saw mud, and one saw stars.

About 20 months ago, Mom was diagnosed with colon cancer.  A further scan showed secondary cancer in the liver.   On March 8, this year after a lengthy battle and tortuous chemotherapy during which she showed her strong will to live, and her strong spirituality, she passed away at home in her sleep, surrounded by five of her children, Dad and one of her grandchildren.  She was 75 years old, and almost 50 years married.  We all fortunately had our chances to say our goodbyes, and how we felt.

I thought she was asleep one time when I said: "I love you Mom."  She opened her eyes and smiled and said:  "It's good to hear that every now and again I suppose."

Religulous- An Amazon Review
I guess there is a place for you, if you are the Bill Maher and Ann Coulter type, have an opinion and take it to the extreme, and don't care what anyone else thinks. Your outrageousness and ability to shock gets you attention, which is what you really want. It's funny how the more extreme you are the more you resemble your opposite.

In this documentary, Maher's position is he does not believe in God, he is right, and he will mock and ridicule anyone who has a contrary opinion.

Not only that, he constantly interrupts them so he can do his supposedly funny shtick. They are playing the straight man to his supposedly funny guy. After all, this is not a sincere inquiry into religion, it's the Bill Maher show.

In fairness, some of his arguments are good, and he does highlight where some people take their belief to a ludicrous level.

His statistics on Atheism seem off. If I remember corrrectly he claimed it's 16%, whereas according to Wikipedia it's more like 6%, in the USA.

The funniest bit in the movie is where he interviews the Jewish extremist, who counters Maher's interruptions with, 'no please, let me finish,' and Maher becomes increasingly frustrated at this annoying guy, and terminates the interview. Two very egotistical people, peas in a pod really.

Another interesting piece is the Christian theme park in Florida, (apparently one actually exists) where he manages to get an interview with the guy who plays Jesus, who gives a good account of himself, one of the few instances where Maher listens. Then he gets thrown out of the theme park.

Most of his ire is saved for Christianity, although he takes a little poke at Mormons, and Muslims too.

Maher suffers from a spiritual autism, just because he doesn't get it, he doesn't understand how anyone else could.

Is the absence of evidence, evidence of absence? Just because someone does not believe God exists, is that evidence that God does not exist?

Some people will find this movie amusing, more will find it obnoxious and be offended. In a way, I commend him for being willing to offend so many people. I just don't think he does it in a very thought provoking or amusing way. If you like Maher, and have similar beliefs, you might think it hilarious. If not, well..

Strap-On Veterans for Truth
An organization dedicating to exposing the truth about the former drag queen now known as Ann Coulter

We are a coalition of former friends and co-workers of Ann Coulter who are upset by her vicious anti-gay, anti-Muslim, anti-feminist rhetoric and feel the truth should be told. Our organization, Strap-On Veterans For Truth, is dedicated to exposing the true past of America’s number one hatemonger.

Ann Coulter is actually a former drag queen from Key West named Pudenda Shenanigans. Ms. Shenanigans was famous for her renditions of “Dude Looks Like a Lady” “I Will Survive” and “You Shook Me All Night Long” as well as an extensive Barbra Streisand repertoire. We who used to work with her are concerned for her as well as upset by the vile hatred she has spewed towards her former friends in the gay community. We feel that by bringing the truth to light perhaps Ann will come to grips with her past and change her wicked ways.

As Pudenda Shenanigans, she was well known on the drag circuit in Key West. Whether she actually had a full sex change or not is a matter of debate, although her adam’s apple is still visible in photos, under the appropriate light. We who laughed, cried, worked and danced with her feel her story should be told. We are not out to punish her, but feel it’s time she owned up to what she really is.

The person known today as Ann Coulter was born Jeremy Levinsohn in the village in New York in 1960. His parents were typical latte-drinking liberals, religiously conservative, but socially and politically radical. His father taught Russian Literature at CUNY and his mother was a social worker. His childhood friend Rodger Mihalot described him, “The Levinsohns were nice people, but his father was distant, so Jeremy seemed to seek a strong male figure in his life. Although they were Jewish, he often hung out at our church, and really seemed to spend a lot of time with Fr. Donatella Nowunn. I also think he was really looking to rebel against his overly liberal parents. Otherwise he was a typical kid, he liked to play cowboy, sailor and gladiator a lot. His favorite movie was always The Sheik, he really seemed to have a fascination with Arabs, I don’t know why.”

In the 70’s Jeremy went to Brandeis, where he majored in Sociology, with a minor in comparative religions. His lifelong fascination with Muslims really seemed to take root at Brandeis. But college roommate Ima Gaiboyye described an unhappy man, “He was never really interested in women, but did go see the theater company’s production of “The Wizard of Oz” 10 times, I thought he liked the girl who played the lead, he really talked about her outfit a lot. After college Jeremy just dropped off the face of the earth, we never heard from him again.”

Jeremy drifted for awhile before finding himself in Key West. Co-worker Licky Dickenstein described these early years, “Jeremy was a natural, I never saw anyone take to drag so quickly. Once he found his persona, he WAS Pudenda Shenanigans. For most of us drag was a part time thing, but Pudenda was 24-7, always in character, always in costume. She really shook things up, she was a goddess on stage.”

By 1985 Ms Shenanigans was dating a Lebanese businessman, Ustahav Toubohls and the two were believed to be deliriously happy. Friends report Pudenda always had a fetish for Muslims and was considering a marriage proposal. But then she opened up the New York Times one day and saw a picture of Mr. Toubohls with a famous actress in New York. Former friend Gaivit Tuhym described the result, “Pudenda was devastated, she couldn’t stand seeing her Toubohls with another woman. She cried and cried, ‘I miss my Toubohls, I want my Toubohls back!’ I don’t think she ever forgave him, the New York Times, or Muslims in general.”

After that Ms. Shenanigans disappeared for years, only resurfacing in the 90’s as Ann Coulter. Her hatred for Muslims, gays and feminists is odd for her former coworkers. Long Dick Gone, a former co-worker stated, “At first I thought there was something funny about this Ann Coulter. I mean here’s a woman who claims to hate feminists, but is in her 40’s, single, no kids, is very opinionated and outspoken and concentrates on her career. Ann Coulter is the biggest example of a feminist I ever saw. Then I noticed that in just the right light you could see that adam’s apple and that’s when I recognized our little Pudenda Shenanigans, the hottest drag queen this side of Fire Island.”

Strap-On Veterans For Truth

Once they realized who Ann Coulter was, Strap-On Veterans For Truth was formed.

Ann’s former friends and co-workers realized that her intense hatred of gays, feminists and Muslims was really self-loathing and continuing hurt from the loss of her beloved Toubohls. Although we know she’s been through a lot, we feel hurt by her turning against everything she used to hold dear. We love you Ann, or Pudenda, or Jeremy. We respect whatever lifestyle of gender you choose. We just want you to be true to yourself and please stop the hatred. Come back to us and share the love of your friends and community again.

The Female Brain Amazon Review

Heart and Diamonds, or Spades and Clubs

 In this world there are facts, and there are opinions.
"Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but not to their own facts." Patrick Moynihan.

This book is not about the female brain, but about hormones, and the fluctuations experienced throughout life, through birth, teen years, sex, love, mommy and menopause. I felt compassion and new understanding of what women have to go through. A woman or a man reading this book might gain value and insight from that information. That aspect is quite good.

With the 90 pages of references that this book contains to scientific reports, one might expect that this book would reflect an unbiased scientific proof of those reports. However, the author cherry picks her facts, and colors them pink with her own personal biases and prejudices:

The female brain is superior to men because women are better at communicating and connecting, and men may experience brain envy. Is she a mind reader? In fact, if women are four times as likely to suffer from depression and anxiety as men, as she says, why would anyone make that trade?

There is only one brain diagram listing seven items in darker shade leaving most of the brain depicted blank, and its function unexplained. What goes on in this area? Another brain book I am reading has 11 good diagrams with plenty of detail.

She explains why women do not tend to excel at science and math; hormone difference in teen years, plus she spoke to some women friends, one in particular, who was a scientist. She wanted a more social career. This is an example of her sweeping generalizing, and superficial exploration of a provocative topic. One woman equals all women. No mention of famous female scientists. Examples would be Marie Curie, and Florence Nightingale, who invented the pie chart..

Men are continuously portrayed as socially and emotionally retarded, and overly aggressive. She uses the playground analogy, of the young girl, and her cousin Johnny who would take her toys. Johnny is represented as not only typical of all five year olds, but all men. Girl good, boy bad. Boy bad, all men bad.

She thought something was wrong with her own baby son because he was less interested in faces than a girl his age. Doesn't she know that boys are more interested in objects, and ideas while girls are more interested in people?

Then a three year old girl is brought to her, because she said she was a boy, and her behavior was aggressive, and yet she had girlish interests. She diagnosed her with CAH a hormone disorder, and used hormones to put it right. Hmmm.

She states that in ancient times women banded together to protect themselves from dangerous cavemen. Was she there? Can she time travel? In fact the more likely explanation proposed by evolutionary biologists is men risked being kicked out of their small community if they were rejected by a female, and never have a chance for replication, and that explains why men feel anxious approaching women. What about women banding together to connect and socialise as she mentioned earlier.

Most annoying is her bandying about the words perception and reality as if they have the same meaning. Here are examples: hormones change reality, teen reality, female reality, hormones created a reality, her reality was stable, a version of reality, reality in fact can be a daily uncertainty. Hormones change teen reality, and perception of themselves. She does mean perceptions of reality or events, right?

Reality can be defined as -things as they are, not appearances.
"All reality is an illusion, albeit a very persistent one." Einstein.
"There is no reality only perception." Dr Phil Mc Graw.
"Reality is that which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away." Philip K Dick.

She states there is no difference between clitoral and vaginal orgasms, because the nerves are all connected internally. Sounds like going to Anaheim, and giving Disneyland a miss. What about all the contradictory reports, like the Shere Hite report.

She asks does chemistry change perceptions? Rather tellingly, she does not ask , if perceptions change chemistry, or offer any meaningful suggestions of how they can. That is the single biggest failing of this book.

One could easily gain the impression that female consciousness and attention does not matter, or does not exist. There is no chapter on consciousness in the book. Nor is there a chapter on reasoning, or focus, or behavioral flexibility, or Triune Brain theory.

My concern with this book is the hormones and pills change everything approach. A pill is not a skill. Skill is learning to observe emotions and perceptions as they arise, release them, change them, and so evolve.

As Aristotle said: ..Man is a rational animal.' When we grow up we learn to channel our aggression in useful ways. We build houses, roads, bridges, cars, systems.

Let's say our ancestors killed buffalo. Caring what the buffalo thinks or feels interferes with dinner plans. Talking might distract us from our mission and alert the buffalo. Not being aggressive enough or persistent in purpose meant we would not eat.

We protect those we love. We make scientific discoveries. What we lack in finesse, we can compensate for in willingness to learn. We are not knuckle dragging troglodytes.

The G spot was discovered by Dr Grafenberg, a man. Women's satisfaction matters to us. We work with spades and clubs, and yet, what would they be without hearts and diamonds to complement them.

Now, she is writing a book called The Male Brain. Grrr. Instead of burying her head in Scientific Journals, she needs to read some books to broaden her perspective.

I recommend other authors such as David Buss, Richard Dawkins, Helen Fisher, and Secret Psychology of How We Fall In Love by Paul Dobransky MD, which is a how to book about the courtship process, and contains resources for dealing with anxiety, low self esteem and depression.

Earlier this week Iearned of his unexpected death, a personal tragedy  I was his neighbor growing up.  My thoughts go out to his family, and loved ones.

I read a shocking report recently that close to 50% of American people have below average intelligence.  The good news  though that close to 50% have above average intelligence. The survey found similar results elsewhere. In England the above and below averages tended to average each other out.




I don't know who the bright spark was who decided to make the word long short. Have you noticed that the word short is longer than the word long which is short.

I know that people who read this blog have above average intelligence, and in the interest of educating you still further, so you can maintain your above average advantage, I bring you a word:

The secretary in our office said, 'My ex boyfriend said I am like an oak.'

So, I told her this story:

On the edge of the great forest stood a mighty oak. Around the oak were other trees and a fern.

One day the fern called to the oak and said: 'Hey mighty oak, have you heard the whisper on the wind, tonight there will be a great storm.'

The oak replied 'Listen, you puny little fern, I have no time to time to indulge in small talk with creatures like you.'

The fern said 'But oak, this storm will be big, so you better be prepared.''I have no need of preparation, I am the strongest tree in the forest, and I can withstand anything. You are the one who should be worried, little fern.'

That evening a great storm came, and there were lightning flashes, rain, a mighty crack, and the wind howled and whistled all through the night. The oak resisted the storm with all its strength.

The fern swayed back and forth in the wind, and bent all the way backwards from its force to be level with the ground. In the morning, the fern awoke, and looked around at the damage of the storm.

He looked to where the oak stood and noticed that the great oak had fallen in the night.

Our secretary said: 'I don't like this story, and right now I am not too fond of you.'Anyway, I continued:

Days later, people came with saws and hauled the oak away to burn as firewood, and to make floorboards that they would step on for years.

So it is that what is soft and yielding survives, while that which is rigid and inflexible perishes.

The spider appears and walks

Across its own web to its welcome guest

The fly panics becoming more enmeshed.

Its gracious host waits as the fly tires

Savoring its moving feast

Weaving a silken straitjacket, marinating.

Silken strands shimmer in the fading light

Embroidery complete it retreats to the corner and rests

Patiently anticipating

Savoring each morsel we watch this mortal drama concluding.

Later, I read that the spider makes non sticky strands

To avoid getting caught in its own web

Now, I wonder what a web I weave with my own thoughts,

Sometimes getting caught in the web

Forgetting which are the sticky strands,

Acting like the fly, I am more helpless

Acting like the spider, I know how to unstick the stickiness.

I did an Oscar prediction blog amonth ago.  Here is how the results compared with my predictions.

I am looking at the habits of the Academy in their Oscar picks this year.  In the last couple of years the two Academy darlings are Johnny Depp, and George Clooney.  Both are great actors but does the work this year merit nomination?  I don't think so.

The two best movies of last year were No Country for Old Men, and There will be blood, and I also liked Atonement. Michael Clayton was not an outstanding movie at all, so I am surprised that  it got the nomination.  I expect  this to be the year of Coen, and No Country for old men will win Best Picture and Best Director, which it did. 

Best Actor definitely has to go to Daniel Day Lewis, for his incredibly compelling performance in There Will be blood, which it did.

Javier Bardem, I expect will win Best Supporting Actor for his amazing performance as the psychopath in 'No Country for Old Men.  A performance this outstanding, and a character this compelling is rare indeed. Which he did.

Best Actress, I think will go to Marion Cotillard for her portrayal of the relentlessly tragic French singer Edith Piaf.  As a backup perhaps Cate Blanchett.  I have not seen the Julie Christie performance, although sentiment may favor her.  My favorite acting performance Amy Adams in Enchanted was not nominated.  Right again.

 

Best supporting actress is wide open.  I haven't seen I'm Not There.  I am going to pick Saoirse Ronan in Atonement, although Cate Blanchett  might get it for playing Bob Dylan.  Tilda Swinton got this one.  This was a hard to predict category.  She did give an excellent performance in this movie.

Best Director is the the Coen brothers for No Country.  Right again. Very surprising Atonement did not get nominated.  Usually Best picture also gets a Best Director nod too.

The screenplay categories are very strong this year.  I think adapted screenplay will go to No Country.  Which it did

Original screenplay. Personally I think Ratatouille was best, but I have a feeling Juno might get this, so as I am picking winners this is my prediction. Juno got it.  So right again.

 I am picking Ratatouille for Best Animated feature.  Right again.  8 out of 9 predictions.  Maybe I should have placed some bets.  My favorite bit last night was when the winner of best song for Once, was called back out from backstage to give her acceptance speech when she was cut off first time.  Here is the list of nominees

Signs and symbols control the world, not phases and laws - Confucius

We can empower ourselves with symbols. Develop "Symbolic Literacy" and "Pattern-Recognition".

Archetypes are creational blueprints that trigger our cellular memories. We all have cellular encoded memories that will be triggered under certain circumstances. We set those spirit codings before being born in order to trigger at a specific point in our lives. Different triggers occur for different people and some are the same. Triggers can vary from tones, shapes, colors, digits, people, places, or events. All hidden information will come forward at this time.

Many people are triggered by digits and patterns of geometry, i.e., 11:11 - 12:12.

COME FLY WITH ME!

Triggers can be found in Crop Circles, paintings, ancient hieroglyphs, various art forms, or just about anywhere, i.e., archaeological discoveries, Sacred Geometry (refer below), Oracles, Flower or Tree of Life, Emerald Tablet, Egypt, The Sphinx, The Great Pyramid, Ark of the Covenant, Isis and Osiris, Sirius, Serpents, Babylon, Baghdad, etc.

    According to Ronald L. Holt, "The dodecahedron represents unconditional love. Unconditional love by itself is the sweetest blissful experience. It is a necessary step toward realizing Christ Consciousness. However, that blissful unconditional love is missing an important element.

    The element missing is conscious awareness or "mindfulness". I am not talking about being mentally focused. I am referring to mindfulness in the Zen Buddhist description. It is so easy to be melted in bliss and then become crippled and unable to be effective in the physical world. This is like assuming that you have arrived at your life's destination and spending the rest of your life alone pursuing a constant state of bliss. In a way, this is simply just an addiction to bliss.

    Mindfulness-the practice of observing one's habits, patterns, and choices is essential to our evolution. We must clearly see ourselves and our level of responsibility, integrity, and impeccability in order to evolve. All of these elements are what strengthen our dodecahedron and turn it into a stellated dodecahedron-enabling it to stand on its own and retain its shape. This is why the dodecahedron was not named the Christ consciousness grid. The openheartedness of the dodecahedron requires the internal support of a trinity of personal commitments: impeccability, self-responsibility, and integrity in order to transcend into the stellated dodecahedron or Christ grid. It takes the integrity and responsibility of honest self-observation and Zen Buddhist mindfulness to remain active and aware whether one is in the bliss state or in the struggle of 3D reality. The stellated dodecahedron is about adding conscious awareness, impeccability, self-responsibility, and integrity to the open heart to create Christ consciousness realization.

    Without the commitment to the higher qualities stated above, unity becomes a transitory experience that is dependant upon a leader to get people there instead of the natural unfoldment of the process from the individual level. We have all frequently observed open-hearted people with the best of intentions fall prey to the agendas of other people or those of their own ego. If individuals do not commit themselves to impeccability in their behavior (which leads to a natural integrity), they fall prey to the ego agendas of themselves or others. Openheartedness without conscious mindfulness is an expression of dodeca consciousness. The stellated-dodeca is the consciousness of a self-realized being and that is why it is referred to as the Christ Consciousness Grid."


The symbolic process of creation is from circle to triangle to square, to physical volume through the Platonic Solids.

(There are also other ways of describing the creative process which we won't go into, starting with the most complex and all-inclusive Platonic Solid, the icosahedron.)

Sacred Geometry is the mathematics of creation.

God's Equation = a Fibonacci sequence is 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55,... where each term after the second one is the sum of the two preceding terms. The ratio of each term to the previous one gradually converges to a limit of approximately 1.618 which is also called the Golden Mean. (Beautiful painting to left by Jonathan Quintin).

Before you do anything, say a prayer - Ask your Higher Self to help. Invoke the Highest.
I use the Fibonacci spiral (which becomes the Golden Mean spiral) like a slinky (which is a spiral like a spring) attached, at one end, to me (any chakra or part of self that feels right) and (this is important) the other end, is attached to what I want to attract (the highest love vibration, the Councils of Light, Angels, the Ideal, Great Spirit, God/Goddess/All That Is, wisdom, abundance, joy, life, harmony, the Beloved, balance, revitalization, etc.- your Higher Self will know what to do).
I imagine the Golden Mean spiral as it is spiralling that ideal energy into me and my energy field/lightbody (Merkaba). My Merkaba can hook into that grid which has now been created (at anytime-by just thinking it) .

From the Golden Mean we can create the pentagram and pentagon which symbolize LIFE. Crop circle is from '93, England. (read below about Pentagram)

The division of the circle into two equal size circles, with the centers of their respective circumferences touching each other, creates the vesica piscis, symbol of creation. It is from within the goddesses yoni that the symbols of sacred geometry are born. The crop circle below dates back to 1996 in England.

From the vesica we can create the simplest of polygons, the equilateral triangle. The two triangles contained in this 'womb' are themselves symbolic of the world above and the world below, just as the left circle can represent spirit and the right one matter.

The overlapping of both triangles produces the hexagon, also referred to as the Star of David.

The Seal of Solomon:

The seal was developed as symbol of unity and family at the suggestion from one of Solomon's wives. Each symbol within the seal holds a special meaning. From our research, this is the general meaning of each object. Some see this seal as one of the first magikal sigils in recorded history by the Sorcerer King Solomon.

The star at the bottom of the seal (also known as the Star of David) represents the land of Israel which was built from the reign of David and established to it's glory during the reign of Solomon.

There is some debate about the meaning of the small crescent moon, and the two small pyramids on either side just above the smaller Star of David. Some scholars suggest it is a symbol of Solomon's kingdom, a tribute to his winning battles to conquer his enemies. Others suggest it is an alliance, a tribute to the ancestry of his most beloved wife (Jacob's Pillar) who was reportedly from a foreign soil.

It looks to me as though the twin pyramids are imploding (merging) into the Star of David creating the Merkaba.

The star at the top of the seal represents the Divine hand, the God of Israel. The two lines that fall from the lower tips of the star are reportedly the representation of the divine light shinning down on Israel and the realm of King Solomon.


THE FIVE POINTED STAR: Pentangle or a Pentagram

For neo-pagans this is symbolic of the four elements: air, water, earth, fire + spirit. See the qualities page for details. Pythagoras held the number 5 to be the sum of the feminine element (2) and the masculine element (3), so it is also symbolic of a union of masculine and feminine. The symbol also has meaning in Taoism, Hinduism and Islam.

The overlapping arms (which does not appear in all versions) shows how each part is interconnected with the others. The circle around the star represents unity, the self, and wholeness.

One mode of understanding is that the pentagram shown as above (with one point at the top) represents the Goddess, and inverted (with two points at top) the God. Of course the inverted pentagram in Christian belief represents the Devil -- not surprising since the versions of Pan/The God were used to represent such.


THE CHALICE

It is a container and is associated with the womb and vagina, and hence a symbol of the Goddess. Two examples of Chalices in myth are the Cup that Jesus had drunk from at the last supper, and the Holy Grail ('grael' is old French for stone - Isis is the throne or pillar of God), which the knights of the round table had to search for in order for Arthur (and the land) to become whole again.


THE ATHEME

It is a phallic symbol and as a cutting tool a divider, and thus represents The God. Magic swords are another version of the Atheme and are popular in fantasy novels and myth. One example is Excalibre, which King Arthur uses via "divine right". Excalibre was also used as a force for order. Tools are only as good as their user.


THE ANKH

This is an ancient Egyptian symbol representing eternal life. It is said to be taken from a simple sandal strap. Regardless of that, it is also a symbol representing the Goddess and the God and this a Neo-Pagan symbol.

This is an ancient Egyptian symbol. It has three elements. The circle represents the Goddess; the vertical line represents the God, and the horizontal bar is the "scroll of knowledge". Join them together and you get an ankh. The raising of the Djed (pillar) is the raising of the Kundalini to the pituitary and pineal glands for the Divine Marriage (the loop of the ankh).


Triskele

This symbolized for the Celts the principles of creation, preservation and destruction embodied also as the triple goddess, virgin, mother and crone, and the phases of the moon (Check out my Heartlink Shop for Triskeles).


Spirals

In the archaeology of this planet, spirals always represent Goddess energy. The spiral shape is found in all natural phenomena, weather patterns, thunderstorms and hurricanes tornadoes are very intense spiral storms human DNA, and plants grow following a spiral Fibonacci series.

Both single and double spirals were among the most sacred signs of Neolithic Europe. They appeared on megalithic monuments and temples all over the continent and the Celtic islands.

The single spiral is the oldest and most recorded of these motifs. It has symbolized the concept of growth, expansion, and cosmic energy, depending on the culture in which it is used.

To the ancient inhabitants of Ireland, the spiral was used to represent their sun. A tightly wound, clockwise spiral represented their shrinking winter sun. A loosely wound anti-clockwise spiral represented the large summer sun.

The dual centered spiral is also prolific in stone carvings. It has associations with motifs from other cultures such as the Yin Yang symbol. It signifies the duality of nature and balance.

Spiral oculi (double twists resembling eyes) appear prominently in places like the threshold stones at Newgrange in Ireland. A double spiral is used to represent the equinoxes, when day and night are of equal length.


The spiral is the cosmic symbol for the natural form of growth; a symbol of eternal life, reminding us of the flow and movement of the cosmos.

The passages between the spirals symbolized the divisions between life, death, and rebirth.

The whorls represent the continuousness of the creation and dissolution of the world. Creation is not something that occurred once and then stopped. It is ongoing...a never-ending balanced dance of opposing forces: light and dark, life and death, masculine and feminine, "good and evil", etc..

The spiral is an attempt to mirror the macrocosmic order of the heavens, the gyratory movement representing the whirling of the stars above the fixed earth. Everything whirling about a still center, the heart of the universe, or the womb which will give birth and to
which all return.

A natural form of spiral can be found in some shells such as snail shells and more notably, the nautilus shell.


The triquetra (often, triqueta) is a tripartate symbol composed of three interlocked vesica pisces, marking the intersection of three circles. It is most commonly a symbol of the Holy Trinity (Father, son, Holy spirit) used by the Celtic Christian Church, sometimes stylized as three interlaced fish.

This symbol predates Christianity and was likely a Celtic symbol of the triple Goddess, and in the North, a symbol of the god Odin. Triplicities were common symbols in Celtic myth and legend, one of the possible reasons Christian beliefs were so easily adopted by the Celtic people. (Check out my Heartlink Shop for Triquetras).


Celtic Cross

Each leg of the cross represents both directional points, as well as, elemental ordinals. The circle represents both the circle of life, the cycle of the seasons and the endless path of knowledge.
Cross Points:
The key to this symbolic table is to remember the cross was primarily found laying flat on the ground. The points or legs of the cross laid out in the cardinal directions.
Each point of the cross signifies, the direction, an element and a cycle of time. Both for the day (midnight, sunrise, noon and sunset), the year (winter, spring, summer and fall), the elements (air, earth, water and fire), the 4 parts of man (soul, body, heart and mind), the cycle of life (death, fertility, union, birth). Some scholars place a Celtic God at each point as well. But this is not widely accepted. This view of the cross and it's components are based on the Druidic view of the 5 Elements.
The Celtic Cross & It's Elemental Positions
North Point - Calas -represents midnight, Samhain (November 1st), death, Daghdha and the earth
East Point - Fluidity -represents sunrise, Imbolg (February 1st), fertility, body, Brid and water
South Point - Breath -represents noon, Bealtaine (May 1st), union, heart, Bel and air
West Point - Uvel -represents sunset, Lughnasadh (August 1st), birth, mind, Lugh and fire
Center Point - Nwyvre -represents the soul, the Divine Spirit
This interpretation is attractive because of the prominence of time cycles and solar symbols in Celtic mythology. Furthermore, the Celtic cross and its associated art works seem to relate to the sun or to solar symbols. (Check out my Heartlink Shop for Celtic Crosses).

The modern Christian cross is actually an amalgam of these crosses: Crosses, usually associated with Christianity, are actually ancient symbols found in many cultures, and may be considered decorative or symbolic or both. The "Tau" cross (T-shaped) is Roman & Egyptian and probably the design for the cross on which Jesus was crucified (refer to The Mark of the Tau).

The "Saltire" or Saint Andrew's Cross is "X" shaped, and is sometimes called "the carried cross"; it is a cross for missions. Tradition says the apostle Andrew died on this form of cross, requesting that he be crucified on a cross unlike that of his Lord.

The Chi Rho - a monogram of the first two letters, Chi (X) and Rho (P), of the Greek word for Christ.

Fylfot Cross

Fylfot is the old English name for the bent-armed cross, which is now usually described by a word derived from Sanskrit, Swastik, meaning "sacred symbol". The modern meaning of the word is historically unrelated to the meaning of the symbol as used in Celtic art, but, the term "fylfot" refers to the motif in Celtic art.

The fylfot is stock-in-trade in the iconography, sacred imagery and symbolism of both pagan and early Christian art. It is a universal symbol, like the chevron, or the double spiral and S-scroll spirals of the stone ages throughout the planet. In Cro-magnon art, the fylfot is the basis of many maze patterns inscribed on goddess figurines.

For example, in Asia, one of the marks of the Buddha is a fylfot formed from the lines in the palm of the hand. In ancient America, the fylfot was also a sacred symbol. The Hopis still have great veneration for the symbol: the fylfot appears in petroglyphs that relate the myths of migrations of the first people, who are said to have spread over the surface of the earth in this pattern. These first migrants left symbols, such as the fylfot, along their route, which is as good a way as any to explain the global distribution of the fylfot throughout the world from very early times.

The Swastik, meaning "sacred symbol", is an ancient symbol which unfortunately was abused by the Nazis Party. On 31 January 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor with a cabinet in coalition with the German National Peoples Party, Deutschnationale Volkspartei (DNVP), (a reactionary, largely monarchist) party. Not long after, a fire broke out and largely destroyed the Reichstag building. The nazis claimed this fire was part of a Communist coup attempt (this is dubious, but this is not the place to try to disentangle it). Taking advantage of this, the government quickly called an election which gave the Nazi-German National government a majority in the parliament. The government quickly banned the Communist party (which gave the Nazis a majority without the German Nationals) and in July abolished all parties other than the Nazis. Immediately after the March elections, new flags were created, including the Swastika Flag (Hakenkreuzfahne) which was used until 1945. However, its use and its incorporation into other flags and ensign were modified after the elections of late 1935.

British Union Flag
This flag is commonly called the Union Jack. According to Stuart Richard, "It is known as the Union Jack when it is flown from the "Jack Staff "or mast a ship. Due to the Navy heritage of our county it has become common to call the flag the "union jack"."

According to Jah, "it is the flag of the "Union of Jack-ob Israel" - the British-Israel People of The Covenant."

It is made up of three flags: St. George's Cross, St. Andrew's Cross (missions), and St. Patrick's Cross. The design was meant to reflect the 1801 Act of Union between Britain and Ireland (the Welsh flag was not incorporated into the British Union Flag). The British Union Flag is the official flag of Northern Ireland and is an integral part of the Protestant, Unionist, and Loyalist tradition.

This was a civil flag for Northern Ireland - The Ulster Flag, but the status of this was abolished when the Belfast Stormont assembly was closed down in 1973. It was seen as staunchly Loyalist because of the Crown, the Star of David, and the Red Hand of Ulster. Thereafter, the Union Flag was made official for all purposes in Northern Ireland.

Why would symbols of Israel's royalty be on the flag of people who have been taught that they are gentiles?

It is because they are Israelites who have lost the knowledge of their true identity and the PROOF is on the flag.


The Confederate Battle Flag

The best-known Confederate flag was the Battle Flag, the familiar "Southern Cross". It was carried by Confederate troops in the field which were the vast majority of forces under the confederacy.
The Stars represented the 11 states actually in the Confederacy plus Kentucky and Missouri.
