But My Baby Is The CUTEST EVER!!! SORRY, just had to go there. How is everyone? Can you believe January is over? It's almost time to go back to work, and it sure does depress me. Especually since we don't have child care set up yet. I'm a little worried... I wish I could just quit, but the money is too good.. ::sigh:: I've been addicted to Fall out 3. While Kayla naps, I try to get in as much playing time as I can. It's just to much fun. If you've played it, you know what I'm talking about. We had snow yesterday, got at least 6 inches, but then it rained and shriveled it all away.. BOO.. I HATE it when that happens. I'm also sad that I won't be working at the ski lodge this year... They are well staffed and won't need me when I come off of leave. Oh well... Hopefully I can find things to do at Golf. Even more, I hope I don't get to depressed being away from my daugther all day when I am back at work. .... My dauther... still weird to say. haha Well... catch ya later.

Got my stitches removed from my apeasamodity (can't spell, don't care) today because they were causing an infection. It was worse than labor, I kid you not. I seriously, and I MEAN THIS, have never felt so much pain in my entire life and I can take alot. What sucks is that my body basically felt the stitches that are disolvable were bad and I got all infected so they had to be snipped and pulled out. I don't really wanna think about it anymore.. But ... when will all this crap stop happening to me? I'm on better pain killers now... Let's hope they start to work.
On another note, happy new year everyone. Kayla is a doll. She is kinda high maint at night, but thats to be expected. I just need lots of help from Hubby and GG since I can't move.. and they are being amazing.
Laura
Well Thats all for now.

Well, the time has finally arrived. December 16th, 3:32pm, 7lb, 20inches Long, Kayla Rose Lang has joined our family and we couldn't be happier.
I won't lie, the journey wasn't as fun as I had hoped, but it started off well. We went into the hospital at 3:15am on the 16th. I had been jotting down my contractions on paper all day and the day before, but now they were super intence and very close apart. When we arrived, the nurse put me streight into the delievery room. There was no point in going into the the admintance room 1st because I was 6 days over due and by looking at my contraction times, this was it.
I made it all the way to 7cm's before I wanted the spinal (just like an epidural, but this one is a one time shot, this doesn't stay in your back like a cathader) Once I recieved the spinal, it offered INSTANT relieve from my painful contractions... but .... it did not last me long enough.. I got the spinal at 9:30am, and it wore off by 12:30pm. I had to go through the rest of labor feeling 80-90% of everything... Thankfully I have a good tolerance for pain. It wasn't easy though... especually when Dr. 'Z' had to cut me downstairs and ripping in the process... UGH..... I was pushing with Kayla for 2 hours and BOY was I happy when she finally came into the world. The first thing I saw was her cute tushy and her hand.
After they got her all cleaned up and daddy got to spend some wonderful time with her, I got to breast feed in the delievery room with her. There were no problems at all. She is a great feeder. I slept in the delievery room for about 45 mins and ate a popcicle. (grape, yummy)

When I got back into my recovery room, It was time to breast feed Kayla again, but I had started to feel very dizzy and my vision was starting to blur. Well, my uterus simply stopped doing was it was supposed to be doing, which was, shrink down and get nice and hard. Well, no one really knows why this happened, but I had hemoraging in my uterus. The nurses had to keep massaging my 'fundus' (uterus) and try to work extra blood out.. Well... lets just say they got a little more blood than they bargoned for... Try 2 full size bed pads soaked with 3 base ball sized clots after the first few pushes on my belly... That was scary. I just kept loosing more and more blood as the night went on. It got to the point where my blood pressure was 68/37. I ended up getting a blood transfusion. 3 Bags of blood in fact. I can't tell you how many times I was pricked and poked that night. By that time, it was the 17th and I still had only gotten that small little nap in the delivery room.
After alot of blood and hard work from the nursing staff, I started to make a turn around for the better. Lets just say I never want to have to go through that EVER again.
I ended up coming home on the 19th and boy am I happy to be home. Kayla couldn't be sweeter. She came out with a head full of beautiful hair and her temperment is so wonderful. She is always so content with her surroundings and couldn't be a better daugther. Steve and I fall harder and harder in love with her as each day goes by.

I have photos of the delivery in my album so go ahead and take a look.

I'm tired... I'm ready for it to be over. Feeling lots of new random feelings in my body, and each new one scares me into thinking hopefully its labor kicking in but it most likely with my luck isn't. Kayla is happy inside me and I have a feeling she will play it out as long as she can in there. Put up the charlie brown Christmas tree. Looks super cute. Doesn't feel like Christmas though. Never has since I left home. I miss family ALOT, but this year should be exciting once Kayla finally decides to show her cute little face. Our close friends Daniel and Bonnie James are on their way to make a visit. Those crazies are driving from California!!! LOL But I don't blame them, road trips are tons of fun and WAY better than flying... BLAH I HATE FLYING. Steve went to game stop yesterday and took advantage of their buy 2 get 1 free used games sale. So, of course I have lost all interaction with him again. It makes me mad but then it doesn't. He never pays attention to me or my needs anyways. When I see him happy that makes me happy. I just need a little love and effection. Well, that's all I'll rant about. 4 days off from work as been lovely but I wonder if when I go back to work tomorrow, will it kill be because I'm used to taking 2 hour naps every day. At least I have gotten much needed rest that I have been deprived from this entire pregnancy. Send wishful thoughts that Kayla comes early. I'm ready.

Well the Golf Season is coming to an end and we had our employee outing yesterday. I only played 9 holes and pretty much just putt the entire time. My few drives were PATHETIC! I missed the ball 3 times in a row and was so frustrated. I managed to get this nice photo while we were playing and I just wanted to share. It's getting really cold...
Well anywho, I can definently tell the time is near becuase I'm not lasting long these days. After the outing yesterday and a bunch of running around, I couldn't even stay till close, I went home at 3:30 and konked out till 6:30pm. I seriously have no energy for anything anymore.
Went to the doc today, everythings looking good. 37 weeks tomorrow. I'm so ready for Kayla and so ready for Time Off! :) (even though I'll be working at home with Kayla) :)
Well thats it for now. over and out.

So last friday night, I was surprised with a baby shower thrown by my two coworkers and my sister Rachel. It was such a surprise, I'm still blown away! There were so many of my friends there. It made me feel so loved and special. It was very exciting! They covered it up by having me thinking it was Lori's husbands surprise birthday party and we were arriving early to surprise him. There was going to be poker and fridays food. LOL Well when I walked into the back room, the banners that said baby shower gave it away, then I saw all the people and I got so excited!
There were games, present bingo, baby ice cubes, diaper ice cream, measuring my belly, the perfect baby, and everyone was creating personal onesies for Kayla with felt markers. It was awesome! The cake was beautiful! It had snoopy sleeping in a crib! There was a mountain of presents that I'm STILL blow away just thinking about it!
It was a super fun time and I'm so blessed to have such great friends and family. My family was in on it too. My sister created a scrap book with pictures of my family from back home in it. They all wrote personal messages and had photos in it sayings they wish they could be there. It was awesome.
Thank you everyone.
I just uploaded some photos from it too. :) So check em out! :)

Well, how did everyone's Halloween go? I'm happy to say that mine was quite enjoyable. The day before Halloween, MWR threw their 2nd years haunted hay ride at Round Pond and I helped out with ticket sales. It was alot of fun. (Unfortunately I was out in 35 degree weather and developing a cold at the same time, but I stuck it through.) I just love seeing all the kid's in their costumes. They get cuter and cuter every year. I can't wait to dress up Kayla next year. (I would love to make her a little pikachu but I'm sure Steve wouldn't go for that. Hahahaha) The hay ride was pretty scary for little kids. (I can't believe some parents took their 3 year olds on there... They were bawling)
Then on Halloween Steve helped me set up my blow up Dracula snoopy out in the front yard. I had it set up before, but some guys were cutting huge limbs off our tree in the front and they took him down so he wouldn't get smashed, when they put him back up, they did a really ugly job. Snoopy was leaning really far forward and the lights I had around him were just thrown on the ground. I do appreciate them moving him so he wouldn't get ruined, but I had a feeling that when they put him back up it wasn't going to look the same. So I took him down and brought him over to Round Pond for the hay ride. He looked really cute.
Anyways, enough rambling on about blow up snoopy, once we got him looking very cute again in front of the house, Steve and i went inside and I took a short nap. On West Point, kids trick or treat from 5:30-7:30, so right at 5:30 the fire trucks came driving down our street with the Army Band playing songs from the top of the truck. They were throwing candy out to all the kids. It was cool. :) I was going to pass out candy with our new neighbors, but right as the fire trucks came by, her husband fell down their stairs and hurt his ribs really bad so they took off to the ER just to make sure he didn't break a rib. He ended up with a bruised rip and 2 days of quarters.
I ended up handing out their candy for them. It actually ended up being a really nice evening because Steve came out on the front steps with me and helped me hand out candy. It was nice to spend some quite time together sitting with the dogs passing out candy. It was fun to comment on the kids coming by. The dogs were even being cute, they wanted to meet all the kids but we figured they were better just sitting there. I guess I was just taking it all in because I knew this would be our last Halloween where it was just us.
Well the trick or treaters ended up dieing down at 7, so I went back to work to finish inventory.. (fun...) It took me about 45 mins. It was kinda creepy being at the golf course all alone in the dark, but It wasn't THAT bad. Steve and the neighbors ended up meeting me there and we all went out to dinner at outback. It was a nice evening. We got home after about 10:30pm. Steve and I don't ever stay out that late anymore so we just crashed when we got home. LOL (we're pretty lame)
We didn't get out of bed till 1:00 the next day! It's nice to stay in bed all morning watching movies. I think the weekend has finally caught up with me because tonight I feel really sick and icky. I'm glad we didn't do anything today. I'm going to bed early.
Well I think this has been long enough, but it was nice to enjoy Halloween this year. Last year was kinda a disappointment for me, but this year made up for it. Well November is here and before you know it, Thanksgiving, Kayla, and Christmas! Then New Years, Anniversary, and Steve gets out of the Army. Some exciting times are ahead! LOL

It's getting VERY uncomfortable here. LOL I have gained more weight this week than the first 6 months of my pregnancy! LOL Kayla is blooming and moving alot. I'm getting quite sick of Braxton Hicks happening to me all day at work. I will be happy to be unpregnant in 8 weeks.
My sister comes out in about 2 weeks! I'm super excited! I'm most excited to get a back massage from her because she is SO GOOD at it and my husband tried, but he can't do it like Rachel. (I have been needing a good massage for a WHILE now) She also couldn't be coming at a more better time because on Oct 28th I'm about to loose my husband to Fall Out 3. (As if he doesn't play enough xbox already)
On another note, there is plenty of fall color to go around so I took a nice shot of our 9th hole at the Golf Course with the hill full of color behind it.

And I got a super cute photo of Steve and Keira sleeping on the recliner. :)

Well thats all for now. TGIF!
