Dear Joshua Family Subscribers:

I do not usually go to the Charisma website, because I do not have alot of time to spend on websites, unless I really need to either visit a ministry friends site, or do some updating of our own.

But the other day, I did check out the "Fire In My Bones" articles and blog section of Charisma, although, I already had a copy of this particular article in one of my inboxes.

Dear Joshua Family Subscribers:

I just saw and listened to this inspiring video "Found faithful" with Justin Rizzo, so i wanted to share it with all of you here. In light of the rampant unfaithfulness and covenant breaking that continues to raise it's ugly head in so many areas of the Body of Christ, each one of God's people should guard their hearts and minds from becoming caught up into the greasy grace of unfaithfulness.

It is time for us all to examine ourselves in light of the scriptures to see if we are truly in the faith and are being faithful to Christ. This will involve genuine repentance, and returning to our first love, who is Jesus Christ, and in learning to walk and abide in Him daily.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? - 2 Corinthians 13:5

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself,except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. - John 15:4

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. - Philippians 2:12

Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. - Revelation 2:4

The results of faithfulness will be shown in the way that we live our lives in obedience to Christ's commands, in how we genuinely love and interact with others, and in the decisions that we make in accordance to scriptures.

30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.- Mark 12:30 -31

We have all blown it ..we know it, and God knows it ...yet the Lord wants all of us to learn to become more faithful in him, so that we may be found faithful to the end. Are you one of those faithful ones, or would you like to be?

I am going to be posting more soon, because there are alot of things that the Lord has shown to me over the past few months that I have just been pondering, and waiting on Lords direction, before saying anything.

But, just know that i am here, and the Lord is doing wonderful things in our lives, even through the midst of the trying times that we have experienced. He's so awesome! Much Love, L.D.

We live in unparalleled times. Not since the first century have more Scriptures been fulfilled in a single generation. Each unfolding word brings down another mountain; it lifts another valley. In truth, the way is being prepared for our King's return into this world.

"THE GREAT REVOLT"

The Lord forewarned that, during the end-time, "many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase" (Dan. 12:4). Contrast our time with any other in history: Not only are we traveling farther and more frequently, but we do so in a world inundated with increasing knowledge.

It has been our privilege to behold the prophetic return of Israel to its land (see Jer. 16:14-15), and our misfortune to live when "the earth is . . . polluted by its inhabitants" (Isa. 24:5).

As though Jesus were reading a news summary of recent years, His prophecies of two thousand years ago clearly describe our times. Thus, we are compelled to discern accurately the significant era in which we live.

Indeed, of the many prophetic fulfillments of our day, one in particular rises with undimmed candor. I am speaking of what the Bible calls the "apostasy." You will recall Paul's warning:

"Let no one in any way deceive you, for [the day of the Lord] will not come unless the apostasy comes first" (2 Thess. 2:3).

The apostasy has traditionally been described as a time of deception and massive falling away from authentic faith in Christ. Depending upon your specific view, sometime before or after the apostasy the rapture of the church will occur.
However, the concept of apostasy as merely "a falling away" is incomplete. The original Greek word for apostasy, apostasia, when used in classical Greek literature, meant "a political revolt."

From this we understand that the end-time apostasy is not just a time of sinfulness or large scale backsliding; it is actually a time of open defiance and warlike aggression against divine moral foundations. In other words, the apostasia is a political insurrection against the laws of God.

This interpretation of the apostasy is not an isolated view. The new International Version, Revised Standard Version, Philips Translation, and New English Bible all render apostasia as "the rebellion." The Living Bible interprets the apostasy as the "great rebellion," while the Jerusalem Bible assigns a proper name to this era: "The Great Revolt."

As we consider the fulfillment of so many other prophecies, let us carefully observe: Mankind has entered an era of open revolt and outright rebellion---an apostasy---against the moral standards of God.

Today, we are witnessing a large-scale rebellion against godliness and moral values. Indeed, this brazen attitude has had a name for itself since the 1960s: the sexual revolution. And "revolution" is exactly what it is.

Our moral standards have not only been challenged, they have been replaced by a non-standard. Indeed, the great rebellion seeks to legitimize and then mainstream every perversity known to man!

There is much to say on behalf of those trapped in perversity and who hate sin's affect on their lives. We must be compassionate toward them and not strident; many are sitting in our churches afraid to even speak of their need lest they be disowned.

I am not speaking with reference to the victims of this advance, but of those who are engaged in a mutiny against the sway of God in our nation. They argue the only standard Americans have is the standard of individual freedom.

In their view, freedom itself is the "god" ruling America, with self-indulgence sitting as chief counsel. Yet, the God of heaven desires the nations of the world. Though the apostasy will certainly intensify, we must remember it is only one of many prophecies unfolding in our day.

The same Divine Word that warned of the Great Rebellion also assures us that ultimately God's kingdom shall crush the demonic influences in our world (see Dan. 2:44).

Yes, evil shall mature into full rebellion, but good is also ripening into full Christlikeness! (see Matt. 13:40-43; John 17:22-23). True, the apostasy shall reveal the nature of Satan, but the true church shall manifest the nature of Christ!
Our king is not only coming in the skies; He is coming "to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed" (2 Thess. 1:10). What seems to be Satan's hour, full of darkness and rebellion, is simply the opportunity for grace to abound to the glory of God in the church!

"SEATED WITH CHRIST!"

The Second Psalm, perhaps more then any other Bible text, accurately portrays the spirit of our time. Indeed, it also proclaims our correct response to Satan's bold advance. Although it was quoted by the early church (see Acts 4:25-26), God has set its full realization for the end of this age.

"Why are the nations in an uproar and the peoples devising a vain thing? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, 'Let us tear their fetters apart and cast away their cords from us!'" (Ps. 2:1-3).

Although "the rebellion" reveals itself worldwide in many ways, in America many of our leaders have certainly been counseling together "against the Lord" in their recent decisions. We see it in the legal protection offered the gay movement and the shelter provided for satanic rock music.

Again, our anti-censorship laws, like armor plating, have been established to defend sin against the Lord, shielding the perversity of our entertainment industry. The virulent cry of those in rebellion hammers relentlessly upon the fetters of moral restraint!

This railing against God has not gone unnoticed in heaven. Is the Almighty confounded? Has fear concerning recent developments gripped the Lord's heart? No. The Psalm continues,

"He who sits in the heavens laughs, the Lord scoffs at them. Then He will speak to them in His anger and terrify them in His fury" (Ps 2:4-5).

The Lord laughs at the foolishness of those in full revolt, as they imagine God's judgments cannot reach them. Why then, you ask, does the Lord delay His full judgment? In part, the Lord waits for us, His church.

For while the world shall demand, and receive, the reign of hell, the goal of the praying church shall be for the reign of heaven. You see, all of God's prophecies shall be fulfilled: those concerning evil and also those concerning righteousness.

The Lord has purposed to have a "bride without spot or wrinkle" and a "kingdom" of wheat without tares. The transformation of the church will be fulfilled as surely as every other prophecy occurring before the Lord's return.

Thus, with great fear and holy trembling, we must review what God has promised concerning us! Let us remember, the Lord is not alone in the heavens. According to His Word, He has seated us with Him in the heavenly places (see Eph. 2:6).

It is time for our identity as Christians to shift. Our nationalities only define our ambassador status; our true citizenship is in heaven (see Phil. 3:20). And if God is laughing at the mocking of those in the rebellion, let us also, as His subjects, share His confidence!

Thus, He commands us to sit with Him in the completeness of His purpose. He requires us not only to live without fear but to stand in prayer for these very nations that defy Him!

Listen again to this Second Psalm, for in the very context of worldwide rebellion against the Lord, it records the most remarkable discourse: "Ask of Me," the Father says to the Son, "and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, and the very ends of the earth as Your possession" (Ps. 2:8).

When I first came to Christ in 1970, churches in America were deeply divided and rather cold in organized prayer. Today, leaders of denominations are working together, and it is estimated that more than a quarter of a million American churches are moving toward deeper unity and increased prayer for this nation. Jesus has asked the Father for the United States, and in response, the prayer movement has been born!

As Christ's church, we do not deserve a national revival, but Jesus does! As His representatives, in His name and virtue, we ask of the Father for America! More than an expression of faith, our prayer is actually an act of obedience: We are commanded to ask God for the nations!

Therefore, while the perverse strive toward complete rejection of God, even as their mocking words fill the air, the Almighty's unchangeable promise to His Son (and by extension, His church as Christ's body) is "Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations!''

As violence, New Age religions and witchcraft flourish in our schools, ask God for this nation. While all restraint is removed from the entertainment industry, ask God for this nation! While perversity dresses in normalcy, ask God for America!
While abortion remains protected by laws, ask God with confidence, with boldness, and with faith for our land! Where you see injustice in any form, ask God for His kingdom to manifest on earth!

"HE WHO SITS IN THE HEAVENS LAUGHS."

Put away fear and discouragement; repent of fretting. The more we accept our place in the divine plan, the more we shall laugh at the enemies' plans. The faith that relentlessly asks God, pleases God.

Now, as the fullness of the times unfolds, as the world around us clothes itself in prophetic fulfillments, let us put away unbelief; let us repent for withdrawal. It is a time to boldly ask of God. As He has promised: He will give the nations as an inheritance to Christ!

Let's pray: Lord Jesus, how blessed we are that as evil matures into full rebellion, Your church matures into full Christlikeness. Teach me to pray for my inheritance, my nation. Use me to stand in the gap until my people become Your people.

"THOSE WHO MAKE A COVENANT WITH GOD"

THE COVENANT-KEEPING GOD

Throughout the history of God's dealings with man, He has revealed Himself as a covenant-making God. The Almighty covenanted with Noah, Abraham, Moses and David; He renewed His Abrahamic covenant in His call to Isaac and Jacob. Each covenant initiated a new wave of redemptive power into the world and forever impacted the human condition.

The word covenant means "to fetter" or chain together. It was the highest form of commitment that two individuals could share. Any of several rituals were employed to express the covenant partners' unity:

A sword might be passed, signifying that the two would be united against the enemy as one. They might pass a sandal between themselves, which symbolized they would travel any distance to be at one another's side.

Or, they might cut an animal in two and pass between its halves. Just as the two halves, though separated, were still one animal, so the two covenant partners would become as one individual.

When the Lord initiated His covenant with a man, He did so as an extension of His eternal purpose; the man was a component in a series of divine initiatives. Contained within the Lord's covenant was His divine intervention, His supernatural wisdom and strategies, and His provisions.

Thus, if we look at the Lord's call to Noah, we see that it was not the ark, but the covenant of God, that preserved Noah and his family during worldwide judgment. Noah was a component, a factor in a series of divine initiatives, which accomplished the Lord's predetermined plans. God established the covenant, designed the ark and brought the animals. The Lord even shut the door after Noah entered the ark.

When the Lord established His covenant with Abraham, twice a flaming torch passed through the halves of the animals Abraham offered in sacrifice. The two passes signified that God would keep His part of the covenant and He would keep Abraham's part of the covenant as well!

Today, a restored Israel testifies to God's faithfulness in His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And it is God's covenant with Abraham, not merely the Jewish military, which preserves Israel in our times.

When the Lord entered into covenant with man, God promised that the covenant conditions and possibilities would not only apply to His servant, but His servant's descendants as well. Noah and his family, Abraham and his seed, and David and his family were all united as beneficiaries of God's covenant relationship. Similarly, we are saved and sustained through life's battles by Christ's covenant with the Father.

"PAYMENT AND PATTERN"

Our salvation has been secured, not only because Jesus died for our sins, but because His death was part of a covenant He had with the Father. The fact that Jesus suffered on my behalf is staggering, but His crucifixion was a component of an even more powerful reality: His covenant with the Father.

The terms of Christ's covenant were such that, if He would live His life blamelessly and offer that holy life upon the cross for sins, everyone who looked to the Son of God would be granted forgiveness.

The Father would look to Christ's sacrifice and see justice; and sinners would look to Jesus and find mercy. Yet, as maturing disciples, we find in Christ's covenant-mission not only our peace, but also a pattern Christ calls us to follow. He told His disciples, "As the Father has sent Me, I also send you" (John 20:21).

Having laid down His life in covenant surrender, He now bids us, "Take up [your] cross, and follow Me" (Matt. 16:24). Of course, our cross does not replace His cross nor do the sub-covenants we make with God supersede Christ's covenant.

The truth is, our cross extends the power of Christ's cross into our world and times, and our sub-covenant with God finds its backing because of Christ's covenant with God.

Thus, the Lord calls us to follow Him in personal covenants for our homes, cities and nations. The covenant we embrace is nothing less than the expression of Christ's nature, revealed again through us for our families, cities and nation.

"THE HARVEST AND COVENANT POWER"

To many Christians, the idea of making a special covenant with God is unfamiliar. Yet, I believe that many have already felt the Holy Spirit speaking, urging them to deepen their commitment to Christ.

Even so, covenants and our obedience to them must come from our hearts in response to the Lord's initiative. You will know the extent of your covenant by the measure of vision and faith, which also come from God.

Especially in the last days, we need to become a people who know the truth given us through Christ's covenant. And, in following Him, we should also know the unique endowment of grace He brings in making special covenants with us.

Indeed, Daniel 11:28-32 warns that the last days will be a time of unprecedented deception and spiritual intrigue. According to this text, Satan's rage will be hurled uniquely against "the holy covenant"! (v. 28a).

Yet, in this same chapter we read, "But the people who know their God will display strength and take action. And those who have insight among the people will give understanding to the many" (Dan. 11:32-33a).

The prophecy continues, "And those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever" (Dan. 12:3).

In the midst of great deception there will be a time and a people who know their God, have great insight, do exploits and lead many to righteousness. They will receive a new and powerful endorsement of God's Spirit.

Additionally, if the enemy will be warring specifically against the holy covenant, we can assume there is something of unparalleled power that Christ's covenant provides against Satan!

A new authority is coming to those who desire full conformity to Christ. For a great harvest is indeed prophesied for the end of this age, and those leading the way will be individuals who understand Christ's covenant and have themselves covenanted with God for their land.

"GOD'S UNALTERABLE COMMITMENT"

It is right to pray for the Lord to bless our lives. However, praying for the blessing and provision of God is not the same as covenanting with Him. A covenant is an altar upon which the Lord and His covenant partner give themselves fully to each other.

The quality of a covenant relationship with God does not cease once prayers have been answered. For, in covenant love we mature from simply being "believers" to becoming living sacrifices, given to God's highest plans. By so yielding, He creates within us a life that He can use extraordinarily in the process of divine redemption.

Covenant power is greater than that which comes through prayer alone. The effects of a covenant reach far beyond simple faith. Prayer and faith are essentials; they are prerequisites, but not substitutes, for covenant power. The covenant relationship is a lifelong pledge, an unbreakable oath that God Himself initiates and promises to sustain.

Contained within His promise is His unalterable commitment, not only to satisfy His redemptive purposes, but also to supply grace and faith to His human counterpart. Together, the all-sufficient God and a believing man accomplish the impossible through their covenant relationship.

"THE POWER RELEASED IN A COVENANT"

A covenant with God accomplishes two interconnected goals. It thrusts us beyond "subjective prayer" (prayer made primarily for our personal needs), and it brings us into a deeper commitment to God. Out of greater commitment comes greater grace to accomplish God's redemptive work in the world.

An example of covenant power is seen in ancient Israel during the revival that occurred after Athaliah, an idolatrous Judean queen, was dethroned. Jehoiada, the high priest, looked to God in covenant prayer. We read, "Then Jehoiada made a covenant between the Lord and the king and the people, that they should be the Lord's people" (2 Kings 11:17).

The result of his covenant was that grace came upon the people and they cleansed the land of idolatry. We read, "So all the people of the land rejoiced and the city was quiet" (v. 20). Jehoiada's covenant brought the nation back to God and ended violence in Jerusalem!

Consider also the power released in Hezekiah's covenant with God. The nation of Judah had been fully corrupted by Ahaz, the preceding king. However, Hezekiah began his reign by seeking God's highest favor. He opened the doors of the temple and reconsecrated the priests.

Yet, the purification of priests and buildings by themselves would not have brought about revival had not Hezekiah taken one further step. He said, "Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel, that His burning anger may turn away from us" (2 Chr. 29:10).

Just eight days after the king made a covenant with the Lord, we read, "Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced over what God had prepared for the people, because the thing came about suddenly" (v. 36). The difference between a long-term struggle and a speedy turning of the nation was, I believe, in the power that was released when the king covenanted with the Almighty.

It is vital that we who are Americans remember that our spiritual forefathers were people who knew and exercised principles of covenant sacrifice. When they came to this country, they knelt on its shores and covenanted with God for this land, dedicating the "new world" to Christ and His kingdom. It is unlikely that the revival of our nation will come without local and national church leaders covenanting together with God for their land.

"MAKING A COVENANT WITH GOD"

A personal covenant with God is a serious commitment, worthy of extended prayer and focused waiting before God. I have covenanted with the Lord to see the body of Christ delivered of carnal divisions and racism; my covenant goal is that Christ's prayer of John 17 be answered.

I have also united my life and faith with the covenants of our Pilgrim forefathers. Together with other brethren, both locally and nationally, we have covenanted with God to see this land restored according to 2 Chronicles 7:14.

I believe there will be a time when this nation, like all nations, will become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ (Rev 11:15). Until then, whether revival comes quickly or we pass through the fires of divine judgments, our lives belong to Christ-not simply to be blessed or prosperous, but to see His highest purposes accomplished in our land.

However, not all of us will covenant with God for the nation. According to their faith, some will make covenants with Him for their families. Others will covenant to see abortion ended in their cities. While still others will covenant with God for the church--to see unity established in the citywide church in their cities.

Making a covenant with God takes us further into our goal of Christlikeness. It is the highest relationship we can enjoy with God and it is the most deeply surrendered. It is, in truth, that which brings Him the most pleasure.

To those who covenant with God, He says, "Gather My godly ones to Me, those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice" (Ps 50:5).

Today, as this nation stands at the threshold of two realities, let us take time in contemplative prayer and kneel before the Almighty Father. In Christlike, focused surrender, as Christ was a living sacrifice for our sins, so let us become living sacrifices to God for those we love. Let us embrace covenant oneness with God that His purpose and passions be fulfilled in our lives and in our times.

"WHERE A DESOLATE SOUL FINDS GOD"

Jesus gave the last hours of this age a poignant headline. He called this period "The Great Tribulation." The word rendered tribulation means "grievous affliction or distress; pressure or burden upon the spirit." As we move closer toward the end of this age, we should expect that catastrophic distresses and pressures on man shall increase.

Added to the increasing stress of our times is the decreasing desire of government and society in general to restrain moral decadence. We live in a time when a significant portion of our society is in open and defiant rebellion toward God.

The prophetic words of Psalm 2 are being fulfilled before our eyes: World and local leaders "take their stand and the rulers take counsel together Against the Lord and against His Anointed" (v. 2). As they renounce moral values, their militant cry is, "Let us tear their fetters apart and cast away their cords from us!" (v. 3).

Jesus warned of this day, saying, "Because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold" (Matt. 24:12, NKJV). If you are one who has resisted the increasing darkness, you know how intense and multifaceted the battle is.

Whether you are fighting to remedy an injustice in your community or just trying to keep your family together, barely do we make headway in one area before five other areas are breeched.

In spite of breakthroughs occurring in several cities, many good people have grown weary. They are just going through the motions. The prophet Daniel warned of a time when the enemy would "…wear down the saints of the Highest One" (Dan. 7:25).

To emerge victorious in this day, we must climb into the reality given to us by God in Psalm 91. There is place of replenishing life--a fountain of eternal life where we can abide. The Bible calls this place the shelter of the Most High.

"ELIJAH: A MAN LIKE US"

Elijah was a man with passions like ours, and he fought in a spiritual war similar to ours. In his battle for the soul of Israel, he stood against the wiles of Jezebel and her husband, King Ahab. Yet his most intense battle was not against visible foes but against personal discouragement.

As bold as Elijah was, he lived as a fugitive moving in and out of caves and places of hiding. Jezebel had murdered nearly all of the Lord's prophets, replacing their godly influence with the dark, satanic oppression accompanying the priests of Baal and the Asherah.

A new initiative, however, had come from the Lord: Both Elijah and the prophets of Baal were to build altars, each to the deity they individually served. The God who answered with fire would be acknowledged as Lord over the nation.

King Ahab and all Israel came to the confrontation. Try as they may, the priests of Baal could draw no response from their demonic idol, Baal. In dramatic contrast, at Elijah's prayer, fire immediately fell from heaven and consumed his sacrifice.

This was Elijah's greatest victory. And when the Israelites saw the display of God's power, they bowed to the ground saying, "The Lord, He is God; the Lord, He is God" (1 Kings 18:39).

But the Lord was not finished. After Elijah had the priests of Baal executed, he went to the top of Mount Carmel, and, kneeling face down, he prayed seven times for rain until the Lord brought a great downpour that ended a devastating three-year drought. On this one day, both fire and rain miraculously fell from heaven!

Perhaps if this tremendous day had occurred at almost any other time in Israel's history, the nation would have repented, but it did not. Baal worship should have ended, but it continued. In fact, nothing changed.

Instead of the revival that Elijah envisioned, the opposite occurred: an enraged Jezebel vowed to kill the Lord's prophet, spurring Elijah to flee into the wilderness. There Elijah collapsed, exhausted and despondent, beneath a juniper tree. "It is enough; now O Lord," the weary prophet prayed, "take my life, for I am not better than my fathers" (1 Kings 19:4).

Elijah had offered the Lord his very best effort. This day had been the culminating event of his life. Elijah had prayed that Israel would know the Lord was their God and that, in response, the Lord would turn Israel's "heart back again" (1 Kings 18:37). Yet, like the prophets before him, Elijah could not trigger revival for Israel. Discouragement overwhelmed him. He had had enough.

Have you been to the point of spiritual or emotional exhaustion where you too have said, "It is enough"? Perhaps you were frustrated by your own inability to effect positive change in your family or you've fasted and prayed for your church or society but no visible change occurred. You gave your all but found little success.
Disheartened and weary like Elijah, all your resources were spent.
Elijah laid down and slept. As he did, an angel touched him and said, "Arise, eat" (1 Kings 19:5). At his head were bread and water. Elijah, weary with life itself, ate and withdrew back into sleep.

Once more the angel touched him. "Arise," he said "Eat, because the journey is too great for you" (v. 7). For all our visions, plans, and programs, the journey before each of us is also "too great." Indeed our journey is divinely designed to be too great for us. The Lord has no plan where we succeed without Him. Life is so constructed to drive us to God.

"BACK TO OUR FOUNDATIONS"

"So [Elijah] arose and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mountain of God" (1 Kings 19:8).
The Lord gave Elijah strength, not to send him back to battle but to bring him back to basics. If we become more consumed with our task than we are with our love for God, our lives will eventually become brittle and desolate.

To restore our souls, the Lord brings us back to the essentials of our faith. Indeed, He might even stop our labors completely and direct us to the simpler realities of prayer, time in the Word, and worship.

He reminds us that, of all He calls us to accomplish, His greatest commandment is to love Him with all our "heart…soul…mind…and…strength" (Mark 12:30). Without this focus, we lose touch with God's presence; we are outside the shelter of the Most High.

The Lord brought Elijah to "Horeb, the mountain of God." In Hebrew, Horeb means "desolation."[Hebrew: Charab - to make desolate.] The barren environment mirrored Elijah's soul. Yet to God, Horeb was actually a place where the issues of a man's heart were flushed to the surface. There is no theater at Horeb, no acting. It is the place of unembellished honesty and core-to-surface transparency.

"HOW DID YOU GET HERE?"

Perhaps Elijah's greatest virtue was his zeal. Indeed, twice in his communication with God, Elijah speaks of having been "very zealous" for the Lord. But zeal unaccompanied by wisdom eventually becomes its own god. It compels us toward expectations that are unrealistic and outside the timing and anointing of the Lord.

To remain balanced, zeal must be reined in and harnessed by strategic encounters with the living God. Otherwise we become frustrated with people and discouraged with delays. We step outside our place of strength and spiritual protection.

Elijah had come to Horeb and lodged there in a cave. Soon the Word of the Lord came to him: "What are you doing here, Elijah?" (v. 9). This is one of the most important questions God will ever ask us.

His question probes the reality of our spiritual state: "How did your service to Me become dry and desolate?" God wants us to know that when we fail to esteem Him as our first love, we will always find a desert awaiting us.

Our primary purpose in life must be to abide in Christ. Otherwise we can become so consumed with the deteriorating condition of the world that we fail to see the deteriorating condition of our own soul. In His love, the Lord stops us and forces us to look honestly at our heart: Is this existence that I now live the abundant life promised me from Christ?

Let's speak candidly. We have nothing to prove and no need to pretend. We can abandon the internal mechanisms of defensiveness and pride. If we are disappointed, we are free to express it; if frustrated, we can admit it. We must simply and truthfully evaluate, without rationalization, our true spiritual condition.

Lord, reveal to me my heart. Bring to the surface of my consciousness those disappointments and heartaches, as well as my sins and failures. Remove Remove the cargo of oppression from my soul. Help me, Master, to lie still as You perform heart surgery on me.

Transparency is the outer garment of humility, and humility draws the grace of God to our hearts. Is not intimacy with God the very thing we most neglect? And is not the Lord alone our source of strength in battle? If the enemy can distract us from our time alone with God, he will isolate us from the help that comes from God alone.

Let us, therefore, approach the living God without any garment other than transparency.

"A FRESH ANOINTING"

As the pressures of this age escalate, we will soon discover that yesterday's anointing will not suffice for today's battles. The Lord brought a new beginning to Elijah's life at Horeb---one that would ultimately release a "double portion" of power to Elijah's successor, Elisha. Under this new anointing, Jezebel would be destroyed, Baal worship abolished, and the only period of revival the northern tribes ever experienced would begin.

To reach a similar place of breakthrough, it will take more than the momentum of our own zeal. We should not be surprised if God calls us to pass through our own Horeb.

How will we recognize this place? Horeb is the voice of personal desolation; it is the desperate compelling of our heart to possess more of God. We must now listen carefully to the voice of God. For it is at Horeb that He brings us deeper into Himself. It is here, under the canopy of His compassion, that we discover the purpose of our brokenness: our desolation is, in fact, a time of preparation.

The Lord is about to bring a new beginning to you. When you return to the battle, you shall war from the shelter of the Most High.

Lord Jesus, apart from You, my life is dry and desolate. Forgive me for trying to do Your will without abiding in Your presence. I desperately need You, Lord. This day, I commit my heart to return to my first love.

Teach me, Lord, to consider intimacy with You the greatest measure of my success. Let me see Your glory; reveal to me Your goodness. Guide me, Oh Holy Spirit, into the spiritual fortress of the presence of God. Amen.

"THE COMING PERFECT STORM"

Dear Joshua Family Subscribers:

Tonight, I am sending out to you, a prophetic article from John Paul Jackson of Streams ministries, which was first wrtten and published during the beginning of August 2008, and was re-published on September 19 (last month).

When John Paul first wrote the article, he was was not aware of the events that would transpire concerning the Todd Bentley situation in Lakeland, the hurricanes of the Gulf of Mexico, the train tragedy near Los Angeles, or the September Stock Market plummeting, along with other events that have brought a combination of troubles, confusion and crisis on national or global levels.

For those of you from other areas of the world, who may not entirely understand the definition of 'a perfect storm', i will explain it to you in simpler terms. In meteorology, a perfect storm is when different elements and conditions come together to produce major devastating results, (or a monster storm) such as happened in the fall of 1991.

The original 'perfect storm,' the book which became a movie was about a storm in the North Atlantic resulting from the merging together of three different weather systems which came to be known as the Halloween storm.

It produced record winds and waves for a certain area, sinking several vessels and making rescue nearly impossible. The "Andrea Gail" fishing vessel departed Gloucester, Mass. and headed for the fishing areas of the North Atlantic. A couple of weeks later, an event took place that had never happened before in documented history.

This perfect storm terminology has been used in national newspapers and media figuratively, to depict the elements and conditions that have been coming together to create the 'perfect storm' which includes economy, politics, religion, relating to national security/ war ....and also worsening global environmental conditions. Therefore, it is a combination of different elements leading to the perfect recipe for 'potential chaos.'

In the article that you are about to read, John Paul shares prophetically of the five elements of the brewing 'perfect storm'....Why is it coming?....What are some of the things that are coming?....and four things that the Body of Christ 'must' do.

"THE COMING PERFECT STORM"

For those of you who have followed this ministry, you have heard me say more than once during the past eight years that from 2009 or 2010, things will become very difficult.

I have been praying and hoping that what I am about to write may be averted. However, I am now concerned that without prophetic people speaking up, we will not play our redemptive part in bringing change for the good.

"FIVE ELEMENTS OF THE BREWING PERFECT STORM"

As in the movie The Perfect Storm, the storm I see coming to the United States is a combination of more than one element, and when the elements unite, the storm becomes exponentially more dangerous.

However, unlike the movie, this storm is not just a storm of merging weather patterns. This storm is worse; it involves five different elements: religion, politics, economics, war and geo-physical events.

At times these five elements will be so intertwined that it will be difficult, if not impossible, to distinguish which events are driving a particular manifestation of the storm. Massive problems in these five areas will come often, or in combination, and sometimes repeatedly.

Each element has potentially several events that will have national and international ripple effects. Some ripples will be worse than others, depending on where you live and how you make your living.

Different areas of the United States will experience different severities. Some will experience more economic elements, others more geo-physical elements; some will experience all elements. Remember, it is the combination and the rapidity that will make the storm problematic.

Also, this does not mean all five elements will hit at the most devastating levels. For example, on a scale of 1–10 with 10 being the worst, one element may strike at a six while another strikes at an eight.

It is the particular combinations of elements — the proximity of each element as well as the intensity of each element — that will make this storm so difficult and seem to last so long. This storm will not be short-lived; it will come in waves, one after another.

"WHY IS THE STORM COMING?"

This storm is coming because the Church (the Body of Christ) is no longer the backbone of this nation. From our inception, the Christian faith has been the plumb line of decisions made at all levels of life.

The Christian founding of this nation is what makes it different from every other nation, other than perhaps Israel. Other nations may have become Christian in their focus, but none were initially formed with Christianity as the core of its DNA.

The Church is to make known God's manifold wisdom to the world and the powers of the air (Ephesians 2:2).

This demonstration to the heavens is not accomplished by speaking to those powers but through righteous living. How we live opens or closes doors for Satan to legally afflict us and even rule over us via leaders who do not know the ways of God.

From Adam and Eve through today, the actions of humankind have given room for the enemy to strike and attack us. The only legal way the enemy has access to us is when the hand of God lifts from us, resulting in a space between Him and us. This space increases as we distance ourselves from Him and His ways.

Anytime there is an increased distance between God and humanity, it leaves room for attack to come and for principalities and powers of the air (rulers of darkness) to take up residence. The longer dark powers reside over an area, the more the people begin to call right wrong and wrong right.

Here in the United States, leaders arise from the people; in other words, as the people believe and think, so do the leaders who rise from their ranks. Eventually, the lines between right and wrong, as well as the holy and profane, become blurred.

The way to God through Jesus and the Cross is no longer seen as an absolute. In fact, absolutes become touted as "intolerance" first in the world and then even within the Church. Yes, there are exceptions to this thinking within the Church, but through compromise, the absolutes of Heaven and eternity are clearly evaporating.

"GOD CAN FASHION A DISASTER"

We are living in the days of Ezekiel and Jeremiah, who prophesied that God can bring disaster on a nation if that nation continually chooses to walk according to its own plans. God spoke this to Jeremiah:

"The instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it, if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it.

And the instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it, if it does evil in My sight so that it does not obey My voice, then I will relent concerning the good with which I said I would benefit it.

"Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, 'Thus says the LORD:

"Behold, I am fashioning a disaster and devising a plan against you. Return now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good."

And they said, "… We will walk according to our own plans, and we will every one obey the dictates of his evil heart." — Jeremiah 18:7–12

"WHAT ARE SOME THINGS THAT ARE COMING?"

What are some of the things/consequences that will come? In time, water will be more expensive than oil, and cities will evacuate thousands because there is not enough water to meet their needs.

(As Amos 4:7 says, "I made it rain on one city, I withheld rain from another city.")

Earthquakes will strike not only coastal areas but devastate the Midwest as well. Israel will bomb Iran, and anti-Semitism will escalate as fuel costs soar.

A dirty bomb will explode in a coastal city. There will be thunderstorms with huge hail, 24 inches of rain in 24 hours, three feet of snow in six hours, record-setting tornadoes with winds of more than 350 miles per hour and tornadoes in unusual places.

There will be an unexpected blight that will hit various hybrid seed crops and weaken the yield. In addition, drought and devastation from storms will dramatically cut into various harvests and the national food storage will deplete.

"Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, 'Thus says the LORD: "Behold, I am fashioning a disaster and devising a plan against you. Return now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good."'" — Jeremiah 18:11

"FOUR THINGS THE CHURCH MUST DO"

First, the Church must return to knowing God and His ways rather than just knowing about God. We have replaced power with programs, revelation with administration and the Father's heart with organizational skills.

Second, the Church must learn how to contend for the faith again. We are weak, and we fall away so easily when crisis is not at hand. We have not been tested, and we have lost our resolve. We understand little of the adversary's plans. We do not know how to debate our faith without becoming angry, and thus we have so few strong, clear, godly voices in political arenas.

We have lost our witness — the witness that convicts others and strongly testifies that God is still God and is very, very real. We have lost the witness that demonstrates that God is a personal God in a very impersonal world, the witness that says, "What I do proves God exists."

Third, the Church must return to the love of God's Word and the belief that it is infallible and inerrant. This would include the conviction, understanding and knowledge that God is absolute, and there is only one way to know Him: through Jesus the Messiah.

We need a new revelation that God's power is unlimited, His knowledge is unending, His presence is with us always and He never changes. We have made God far too small, and our lives prove it.

Fourth, we will need to declare sacred and solemn assemblies of repentance and corporate fasting in many parts of this nation — a time set aside for rending our hearts before God.

"Now, therefore," says the LORD, "Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning." So rend your heart, and not your garments;

Return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. Who knows if He will turn and relent, And leave a blessing behind Him — A grain offering and a drink offering For the LORD your God?

Blow the trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly; Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room. Let the priests, who minister to the LORD, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, "Spare Your people, O LORD." — Joel 2:12–17

"CRISIS IS THE FRUIT OF FOLLOWING THE WRONG GOD"

God allows calamities to happen in order to draw us to Himself. What does that mean? It means that God allows us to reap the fruit of that which we serve.

Walking in God's ways brings blessings and fullness of life, while walking in the ways of the "god of this world" will bring the fruit of the god of this world: decay, destruction, deterioration and death. We make our choice, then the choice makes us. Sadly, we are developing a history of wrong choices.

Throughout Scripture, when crises hit the people of God, they turned their hearts to Him, and He heard and took action.

Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. — Jeremiah 29:12–13

May the people of the United States seek the Lord … and find Him. Remember, we still have the promise that if we turn from our wicked ways, God will heal our land.

"IN THE MIDST OF THE SHAKING, GOD HAS PREPARED AN INTERCESSORY THRUST!"

During a worship service at the end of January, the Lord spoke to me in a long, ringing voice, "Cindy Jacobs, the strongman over America doesn't live in Washington D.C.- the strongman that really rules over this nation lives in New York City! Call together my people to pray for the economy."

I knew then that the economy was going to crash without effective, fervent intercession. The Lord went on to speak to me with the words: "October 29th was Black Tuesday, the day the stock market crashed, and Satan wants to do it again!"

Shaken to the core I pondered what to do. I knew that I must call the people of God to converge in New York City the week of October 29, 2008 for an emergency prayer rally to cry out against economic collapse because the economy was going to shake!

During that week, we will have some of the finest apostolic prayer leaders from across the country will join together for several days of onsite prayer strikes at key locations throughout New York City, including Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, Federal Reserve, and United Nations.

We are then calling the body of believers from around the world to join us on October 31 and November 1 in Brooklyn, New York for Convergence '08 -- an emergency prayer rally for immediate stabilization of our national and global markets.

October 31st is also Reformation Day in Germany. Some of you know that while Mike and I were in Germany on this day in 2007, as we stood before the Wittenberg Door where Martin Luther tacked the Ninety-Five Thesis, we had four separate dramatic visitations, each of which said it had been 490 years since the last reformation (Daniel 9) and we were to pray for a new reformation to begin.

This was fascinating to me as I had just spent two years of my life writing my new book, The Reformation Manifesto (Bethany) on the subject of how to not only be a reformer, but how to reform the arts, media, family, government, education, economic systems, etc.

The political parties within the United States and the United Nations are currently running on a platform of reform, as corruption is being exposed around the world and the citizens are shouting, "We are tired of being used!"

One leader in the U.S. said that it was because of the addiction to O.P.M. (other people's money) that corruption has almost destroyed our economic systems.

I am calling you to come from the ends of the earth to pray to shift the economy. What do I mean by "shifting the economy?" Last January, at Chuck Pierce' Starting the Year off Right conference, God gave a group of us a prophetic word that He was going to "shift the bull and the bear market to become a lion market" and then went on to say, "And I will have enough shares in this market."

For too long we have known that we are to pray for our nations but we have not known how to see to it that the Lion of Judah ran the economies of nations. He is the Creator, and believe me, He knows how to heal nations!

The Lord has shown me that He wants to release a "corporate Joseph anointing" into the body of Christ in 2009 and 2010. If one looks at the history of the 1929 stock market crash, although many suffered, there were those that gained great wealth because they knew what to do in difficult times. This is the manifestation of the Issacar anointing that we are crying out to God for during this time of shaking. God is going to show us what to do.

Although the word I am going to give is a strong, dire one, think of it as a warning that is merciful. Judgment can be averted and a blessing left behind with economic systems changed in such a way that will eradicate systemic corruption so that we can eradicate systemic poverty.

For the Lord says, "I am answering your prayers and have begun the cleansing of Wall Street; exposing the wickedness and greed in high places. Pray now and I will begin to give the leaders of the nation wisdom on how to re-vamp and reverse the debtor system currently in place. This is a course correction.

If you do not pray at this time, you will miss your day of visitation and the economy will collapse, causing a ripple effect that will sweep the nations with a major tsunami wave. "

"This wave will begin to touch the ground, as even the harvests of the world will be affected. Food shortages, hyper-inflation, and other sorrows, especially affecting the poor will take place."

"However," I say, "if my people respond and fall on their face and cry out at this time with a mighty cry, I will hear them and heal their lands."

"Hear, O nations of the earth! Respond with weeping and travail and pray for the stock markets and economic systems. Pray for your leaders as well for the earth is in the throes of a deep shaking at this moment for the systems of the earth must be reformed."

"Do not despair and think that I cannot heal-that I will not hear your crying to Me from My throne in heaven. My ear is carefully listening for your sound so I will reverse the curse and bring a blessing upon your lands."

This is no time for business as usual! As per Joel 2, it is time for the Bridegroom to come out of the chamber, and fight for the land. Tonight, I needed to share with you the most recent prophetic word that came in from Wendy Alec, along with another related excerpt from the "Journal Of The Unknown Prophet," which is a prophetic book that Wendy wrote, then had published back a few years ago (in 2005).

MORE ABOUT THE BOOK: It was back in Nov. of 1999 during a period of ten days, when Wendy Alec had a visitation from the Lord Jesus, where He warned of the things to come. He spoke of both Judgment and Mercy…. He spoke to her regarding the trading systems of the world, concerning Ministry leaders and the Body of Christ, (who is the Church.) During this on-going visitation Jesus wept.

Then, in two other experiences that Wendy had with the Lord in 2002, He spoke with deep anguish of the last day assignments that were to come against His elect. He warned of a great spiritual blindness that was coming ...of the seductions of Jezebel, and a great falling away that would take place.

AND THE LORD SAID - "TELL MY PEOPLE THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE TO FEAR. THINGS WILL GET ROUGH -- THINGS WILL GET TURBULENT- BUT I WILL KEEP THEM SAFE IN THE EYE OF THE STORM."

The Lord woke me up in the early hours of the morning the week before the bailout was passed - It was around four am in the morning and I kept hearing one sentence over and over again and that sentence was 'EYE OF THE STORM - EYE OF THE STORM..,' and then I started to hear Psalm 91 as well, and I said to the Lord :

"Father - Your people are very familiar with Psalm 91", but I sensed this was DIFFERENT - there was such a specific and powerful rhema anointing on this Psalm concerning the current financial situation.

"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty whose power no foe can withstand. You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night nor of the arrow, the evil plot slanders of the wicked."

(or the NASDAQ OR THE DOW JONES THAT PLUMMETS by day.)

"A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand but it shall not come near you because you have made the LORD your refuge."

And I sensed that the Lord was so deeply moved by the prayers and cries of His children regarding the current economic turmoil and I believe that He is talking to some of you right now and He's saying:

"BELOVED CHILD - BELOVED SON - BELOVED DAUGHTER BECAUSE YOU HAVE MADE ME - THE LORD - THE MOST HIGH - YOUR REFUGE AND YOUR DWELLING PLACE, I SHALL PROTECT YOU. BECAUSE YOU HAVE GIVEN ME YOUR HEART -

BECAUSE YOU HAVE GIVEN ME YOUR LIFE - BECAUSE YOU HAVE GIVEN ME YOUR SUBSTANCE - YOUR SUBSTANCE SHALL BE PROTECTED IN THE EYE OF THE STORM. FOR I THE MOST HIGH AND LIVING GOD SHALL BY MY OWN RIGHT ARM PROTECT YOUR SUBSTANCE EVEN IN THE EYE OF THE STORM."

And I remembered a prophecy the Lord had given me so many years ago in 1999 in the Journal of the Unknown Prophet, part of which had said:

"And so great terror shall strike at the heart of those who have ruled the nations by control and manipulation - by trade and by extortion - as they see their idols collapse before them. And so the great shaking and the judgments upon the Earth shall begin...

They exchange the worship of Me, the Living God, for that of stocks and shares and gold and bonds - for the worship of oil and armaments. They have exchanged their souls for that which cannot save them. For so it is that as their life expires, all they have amassed in the high places of the Earth, all their idols shall stand silent."

And I knew with a great dread that part of what we were all experiencing in the tumult of the world economic shake up was actually the Lord's JUDGEMENT on the trading systems of the world -

But at the very same time, I sensed His great mercies start to flow and His overwhelming compassions and fervency of His love for His own Household - for YOU His child. And it seemed to me that the Lord was saying a very different thing to His children.

AND HE SAID, "WENDY - I WANT YOU TO TELL MY PEOPLE THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE TO FEAR. THINGS WILL GET ROUGH, THINGS WILL GET TURBULENT, BUT I WILL KEEP THEM SAFE IN THE EYE OF THE STORM."

"TELL MY PEOPLE - IT IS TIME TO FLY BY THE INSTRUMENTS, BY THE WEAPONS OF THEIR WARFARE.. IT IS TIME FOR THEM TO FLY BY FAITH, BY ENDURANCE, BY PERSERVERANCE. FOR THEM TO WALK IN THE OPPOSITE SPIRIT OF THE AGE, BECAUSE THEY HAVE SET THEIR LOVE ON ME," THE LORD SAID,, "BECAUSE THEY HAVE SET THEIR HEART ON ME, BECAUSE THEY HAVE SET THEIR SUBSTANCE ON ME, SURELY I WILL DELIVER THEM."

AND THE FATHER SAID TO ME, "I AM MOVED - I AM GREATLY MOVED FOR MY PEOPLE AND BY THE PRAYERS OF MY PEOPLE AT THIS TIME."

"I SAW BABYLON ABOVE WALL ST. AND I SAW A NOOSE THAT WAS AROUND THE NECKS OF THE BANKERS, MANY BANKERS, INSTITUTIONS IN THE CITY"

And then I saw the word 'BABYLON' and I saw Babylon above WALL STREET and THE FEDERAL RESERVE was there above Wall Street. Then I saw a noose that was around the necks of the bankers, many bankers, institutions in the city and in Wall Street and then I saw the spirit of Babylon just pull on that noose and it started to get so tight around that noose and then I saw Jesus.

Jesus Christ was there walking through Wall Street and He noted every Christian, every follower of His and there were many followers who were actually IN banks and institutions.

"I SAW A SPIDER'S WEB FROM WALL STREET TO WASHINGTON, DC TO THE CONGRESS UP TO THE WHITE HOUSE"

I saw believers there who were PRAYING and then I saw a spider's web, a huge spider's web, and I saw the spider's web go from Wall Street and it went to Washington and it went through Congress and the Senate and then up to the White House.

And then I saw a very strange thing. I saw two huge FUEL LINES I did not understand (a day later I sensed strongly they represented OIL) and these two fuel lines came directly from Wall Street into the White House and into the Treasury, I saw the word
'TREASURY' in large black capitals.

"HIDDEN AGREEMENTS - HIDDEN COVENANTS - PRAY FOR TRUTH AND EXPOSURE OF DARKNESS"

And I felt that the Lord said there are HIDDEN AGREEMENTS - HIDDEN COVENANTS and I knew that the Lord said that we as believers need to pray at this time for TRUTH and to PRAY FOR EXPOSURE OF DARKNESS. That's what the Lord said.

And He said that THERE IS GOING TO BE A SHIFT AND A SWAY - THERE'S GOING TO BE A GOD EXPOSURE OF PEOPLE'S ROLES THAT I BELIEVE WILL CONTINUE EVEN INTO THE NEXT ADMINISTRATION.

"THE ELECTION - AN END TO SHOWMANSHIP - THE LORD IS CALLING FOR SOBERMINDEDNESS - HE IS CALLING FOR MEASURED WISDOM"

And then the Lord said He is calling now for TEMPERANCE - He is calling for SOBER MINDEDNESS - He is calling for MEASURED WISDOM - And then He started speaking about the ELECTION.

And about the SPIRIT ON THE MEDIA in this Election and I sensed the Lord's grieving - that it was time for us as the Lord's own to rise in prayer and bind the JEZEBELIC SPIRIT on the media and the BEGUILING SPIRITS and SPIRITS OF WITCHCRAFT that have been released - It's a showman spirit on this election.

"THE LORD'S DISPLEASURE - DIVISIVE ATTACKS - AN OPPOSING SPIRIT TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD"

And I sensed the Lord's displeasure with the divisiveness and attacks and devouring taking place between the parties in the Election - It was hard for Him to RELEASE HIS FULL BLESSING when the spirits operating over the parties in the Election were the opposing spirit to the KINGDOM OF GOD.

And I sensed the enemy's pleasure over the divisiveness. I sensed many other things concerning the Election:

"DO NOT TAKE STOCK IN THE APPEARANCE OF A MAN OR WOMAN - CALL OUT MY JOSEPHS - I AM CALLING FOR MEASURED WISDOM - I AM CALLING FOR TEMPERANCE - I AM CALLING MY JOSEPHS."

It was imperative that as the Body of Christ we were not praying our own agendas but the Agenda of the ONLY ONE WHO TRULY KNOWS AND READS ALL HEARTS - AND TO PRAY FOR THE FATHER'S WILL AND ONLY THE FATHER'S WILL TO BE ACHIEVED IN THE ELECTION.

No matter how much we feel we understand and know, we still see through a glass so darkly.

And I heard the same words again - Temperance - Sobermindedness - Measured Wisdom.

He said many other things, which I will share if the Lord releases me to do so in the weeks ahead but I am not led to share them at this time. However I sense with a great burden that the Lord is calling for His people to cover the Election with Heaven-directed prayer.

"TORNADO - EYE OF THE STORM PASSING OVER HOUSES"

And finally I saw this huge tornado and it was the financial situation upon the earth. And I saw it come and there was a whole city and it just went through the whole city and the city was devastated and I saw these houses that stayed and they were beautiful and they were completely intact.

The eye of the storm passed over these houses but they were completely intact. Nothing was touched. Not their gardens or fences.

And the Father said for those of you who have loved Him

For those of you who have served HIM

For those of you who have set your heart on Him

And He kept saying, for those of you who have kept your substance on Him

He said the destroyer will pass over you because the Blood of the Lamb, the living Blood of the Lamb was over all of those houses which represent the people who have truly loved the Lord and their substance is set on the Lord. And it was like a canopy, the protection of the Lord that even as the eye of the storm passed across your life, your finances, your mortgages, passed across the banks -

The Lord promised THAT HE IS GOING TO KEEP YOU. THAT HE IS NOT GOING TO LET YOU DOWN, THAT HE WILL NOT FORSAKE YOU - THAT HE TRULY IS WITH YOU AND THAT YOU WILL SEE HIS PROVISION, YOU WILL SEE HIS LOVE AND THAT YOU WILL SEE WHAT YOU HAVE INTACT IN HIS DAY.

"And a thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand but it shall not come near you."

Only a spectator you will be.

This is another excerpt from Unknown Prophet written many years ago, but for all who have served the Lord faithfully with their substance, the Lord said:

"But for those who have been found faithful to My Father in the monetary matters of the earth, to those who have not set their heart upon the possessions and the riches that I have blessed them with, but have laid up their treasures in Heaven and have given of My substance to feed the poor and those of lesser fortune than themselves-

For those who have poured out My substance through the vehicles that I have raised up to preach the gospel in these end-times and have given of their generously and joyfully with a thankful heart - to these ones comes a multiplication, a multiplication not as in the past. For in the past it was a multiplication of five and of tens, but in this coming time, says the Lord, I shall multiply My substance supernaturally upon these ones that it shall be a hundred and a thousand-fold.

"And I shall yet open up unseen riches that until now have been hidden in the secret places of the Earth. And to these ones I shall pour out upon the gold of Ophir and the treasures of Solomon. I shall pour upon them the gold hidden deep under the earth and the oil, even the oil shall come into their hands.

These will not have to tremble when My Judgment falls for I shall keep their substance safe in the eye of the storm. For their substance is indeed My substance and their inheritance is My inheritance. For they are the proven ones, the ones whose treasure is fixed in Me.

"And so in these latter days you shall see them come forth as guiding lights rising from within the world system but rising from out of the world's system. Yes they shall rise.

Watch now and see if they will not come forth. And through them My ministers shall be blessed, and shall do their exploits, and through their faithfulness in the hidden places so My Gospel shall yet be financed and shall be preached through all the nations of the Earth. So be it. Amen."

Please read this carefully and ponder what your responsibilities are as the Body of Christ, and as American citizens. And then, follow through with what the Lord would have you to do in regards to praying and fasting for our nation.

Then, make sure that each of you go to the polls to vote for the presidential candidate and other runners who would best uphold godly righteous values, and who would better represent the American people.

"CONCERNING THE FUTURE OF U.S.A."

Dear Praying Friend,

In 2000, I wrote the 2nd most important letter of my life— a call to prayer for the elections of that year. I'm now writing what may be my most important letter. I knew the importance of those elections in 2000 was beyond any in my life up to that point and that the spiritual warfare surrounding them would be unlike anything any of us had ever seen.

That letter was read by millions of people and I believe millions of them responded by praying. I also believe the prayers turned the tide. You may question whether President Bush was the right choice; obviously, he has made some blunders in his tenure as president. But two of his decisions alone left no doubt he was God's choice:

"ROBERTS AND ALITO"

These two Supreme Court Justices have proven critical in the process of breaking the hold of humanism, death and anti-God agendas that have ruled the Court for 50 years.

I assure you that more devastation—the shedding of innocent blood, immorality, decay of the family and an erosion of our godly heritage—has flowed into our nation through that institution than any other door in America. Many times more. The poison allowed into America through their decisions is beyond any of our abilities to articulate.

The reality in America is that you don't need to control Congress or the White Hose to rule the nation. You only need 5 people – 5 out of 9 on the Supreme Court. And for decades those who disagree with just about everything you and I stand for have been in control!

In Bush's two terms, the process of turning this around began with the appointments of Roberts and Alito. Now, we win some cases 5-4 and lose some 4-5. (We barely outlawed partial birth abortion. The vote of one judge saved thousands of babies from this horror.) We need one more conservative Justice for a consistent majority, then more to build a strong majority.

In Obama's own words, "the next president will appoint at least one, perhaps two or more Supreme Court Justices." He's right. Almost certainly two or more older, liberal Justices are waiting until after the elections to retire, in hopes of Obama winning and appointing more liberals to replace them. And he certainly would.

He voted against the confirmation of Roberts and Alito. So did Biden. And Biden led the fight against Justice Thomas several years back, another of the 4 solid conservatives.

Make no mistake about it, the two of them do have a litmus test for Supreme Court Justices, and a major part of that test is Roe vs. Wade. McCain and Palin, on the other hand, both have very strong pro-life positions. This alone makes the choice for President simple.

To vote for the 2nd and 3rd most liberal senators (Obama and Biden), both of whom are firmly and blatantly pro-abortion, would be unconscionable.

Obama has actually said that if he wins, he would like his first action as president to be the signing of the Freedom of Choice Act, which would eliminate every other law against any aspect of abortion (partial birth abortion, parental notification, etc., etc.).

And with a democratic majority in the House and Senate, pretty much any legislation he and Biden want to pass will be a slam-dunk.

There are many other unrighteous positions they hold but this position alone makes the choice easy. If they win this election, it will set America back decades in the cause of life and the restoration we seek.

Just as many of you do, I too, want to see a first black President, but not Senator Obama. To allow that noble and godly desire, the economy or one's position on the war to trump this issue of life and death for the innocent unborn is simply wrong.

The scriptures teach that if we choose first to exalt righteousness and turn from evil, God promises to heal our land (see Proverbs 14:34; 2 Chronicles 7:14).

It is righteousness that exalts a nation, not wealth, prosperity or armies. If we will finish the process of removing the curses of death and anti-God laws off of America by electing a president that will continue to shift the Court, God will grace us with breakthrough in other areas such as the economy, the war against terrorism, etc.

My faith is not in a person, and certainly not a political party, for the healing of America, but I know God's word and His ways well enough to know that our decisions do move Him to action or inaction.

Now to the heart of my reason for writing this letter (I realize I am "preaching to the choir"— most of you who know or listen to me are conservative enough to vote for McCain and Palin.) I have not written any appeals for prayer concerning this election because:

1) Others have, and

2) I believe our movement has matured to the point that the prayer base of the Church is already praying. But I now feel the need to raise my voice. I am appealing to you to pray for these elections the next two weeks like you've never prayed for any in the past. Faithfully. Passionately. Boldly. Ask God for His mercy and grace.

We deserve His judgment for removing His influence and authority from our government, schools, homes and businesses; for the killing of 50 million babies; for leading the world in the consumption and exporting of pornography; for passing laws to reject His; etc. But mercy triumphs over judgment and in His wrath He remembers mercy.

In 2000 we actually lost the popular vote and won the election— talk about grace! Please pray for this grace to be released again. But I am also asking you for something more than normal prayer. For those of you who understand spiritual warfare, I am asking you to also include this aspect of prayer.

THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT WE HAVE ENTERED A DANIEL 10 MOMENT IN TIME:

"Then he said to me, 'Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, I have come in response to your words.

But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia'" (Daniel 10: 12-13 NAS).

The spiritual warfare in this election is incredibly fierce, and just as it was in Daniel's day, is all about the restoration of a nation. And also like Daniel, we must keep praying until we win the battle in the heavens.

In August of this year I predicted that September would mark a shift in momentum for these elections. This happened with the appointment of Sarah Palin as the Vice Presidential nominee (who is a true Esther in our generation), but when the economy began its meltdown and the media ramped up their unprecedented attacks on Palin, that momentum wasn't sustained.

But we can see it turn again if we approach this battle as the spiritual warfare it truly is and bind the evil forces involved (see Matthew 16:18-19).

The reality is that this election can be the breakthrough we need to fully shift the Court (and ultimately our nation) or it will be an immeasurable setback that could take many years to reverse—if ever.

"PLEASE UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING: IF WE ENGAGE IN THIS BATTLE AND DO WHAT I AM ASKING - IN MASS - WE WILL WIN; IF WE DO NOT, WE WILL LOSE."

I, for one, don't intend to allow the latter. I am in Washington, D.C. now (October 20-22) with Lou Engle and a team of prayer leaders from around the nation to war for this election. Join us!

Lose some sleep, miss some meals—pray! Pray like never before for these elections. And as you do, involve yourself not only in petitioning prayer but also in spiritual warfare. Use your God-given authority over the plans and strategies of satan's kingdom.

Bind all witchcraft that is working to control the outcome, including occultic powers that are suppressing truth. Release Christ's Kingdom rule in every way the Holy Spirit leads you.

Don't be deceived and don't lose hope (if you have to, turn off the TV.) It is not too late to turn these elections. God is plenty powerful enough to do so.

The real question is will we rise to the level of prayer and spiritual warfare necessary to release that power. And remember, we don't need a majority of Christians who are willing and able to do this—only a praying remnant. We can do it!

HERE ARE SOME PRACTICAL SUGGESTIONS TO CONSIDER:

1) Fast (a meal a day; a day a week; a Daniel fast; 3 days; 10 days; TV; etc.) and spend the time praying.

2) Agree in prayer with someone everyday for God's will to be done.

3) Form/participate in prayer groups regularly. Churches could pray everyday.

4) Take time in every gathering to pray. (Take 15 minutes in every service to pray for the elections. Turn an entire service to harp and bowl style intercession—worship and prayer combined.)

5) Join 2 or more on a conference call and pray for 15, 20, or 30 minutes.

6) Pray on the way to work (and on the way home).

7) Pray before you go to sleep.

8) Pray before church services.

9) Ask God to give you His strategy—He will!

I have been receiving communications from around the United States and Europe that are all reporting the same thing--they are seeing healings and miracles on a level like they have never seen before.

This is a time of a great visitation of God to His people. Even so, I remain convinced that what we are now experiencing is a birth pang, a spiritual contraction that is preparing us for the birth of an even greater move of God, which I expect to take place this September/October.

The indications we have received especially point to September 21 as being a significant date. Because we "see in part" and "prophesy in part" (see I Corinthians 13:9), I cannot say for sure what will happen on that day, except that it will be a significant day, especially in relation to revival in America.

In the last two months, faith in God for the miraculous has been growing dramatically, and the Lord responds to faith. Because of this, we are experiencing an upward spiral. More faith is enabling God to move more, which is increasing faith even more, resulting in Him doing even greater works. Let's keep it going!

As amazing as what we are now experiencing is, we still have a way to climb to what is just normal, Biblical Christianity. It is our right as Christians, possessors of the New Covenant with God, to see everything that happened in the Scriptures happening in our own time.

The Lord is the same today as He was then. His name is not "I was," or "I will be," but "I AM." The same Holy Spirit that was present with the church in the Book of Acts is present with us today.

All Christians have the same Holy Spirit with them that the Apostle Paul had and can therefore see the same power released through them that Paul or anyone else has.

"THE TRUTH OF THE NEW COVENANT AND ALL THE BENEFITS HAVE ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR"

We are told in II Corinthians 3 that as Christians we should be seeing more glory than what Moses saw, and he had to put a veil over his face because he had so much glory on him.

We have been given "a better covenant" with more glory, and there are some arising now who are going to take this as their right to see and experience, which the Lord has been waiting on for a very long time.

Because Jesus paid the price for us to walk in all of the benefits of the New Covenant, it would not be just for us to be able to walk in them. The justice of God applied to us is not what we deserve, but what He deserves, and He deserves to have His people enjoy all of the benefits of the New Covenant for which He paid such a price.

Miracles do encourage people. God is moving again, and many things are now being done among us that are beyond human ability--they can only be attributed to God. Truth is also encouraging, and the same Spirit who does these works among us is also the Spirit of Truth, and He is about to pour out a great love for truth on His people.

This is going to begin with the truth of the New Covenant and all of the benefits that have already been paid so that we can receive them. The most basic justice of God is for His people to receive all of the benefits of their citizenship in Heaven. Through this, Heaven is going to continue coming to earth through them.

A generation is about to take their place that has not believed the evil report, the report of the ten evil spies. They have aligned themselves with the faithful report of Joshua and Caleb, that the taking of the inheritance has nothing to do with how big the giants are or how small we are but on how great our God is. They are now lining up on the banks of the Jordan River, ready to cross over and take their inheritance.

"TRUE WISDOM BELIEVES GOD"

It is still amazing for us to watch our high school students pray for the handicapped, blind, deaf, or those with fatal diseases, believing God will heal them, and often He does. A few nights ago, I saw a commotion in the back of the room and found out that a couple of our high school girls had prayed for a young man in a wheelchair, who immediately got up and walked.

He had multiple sclerosis and had not walked in seven years. It was not long before he was back in the wheelchair, not because the affliction had come back, but because he was so worn out from not using those muscles for so long.

As we talked to the girls who had prayed for him, they were excited, but not overly so, because they are now expecting the Lord to do this kind of thing when they pray. There really is a new generation rising up that the supernatural will be natural to them.

Wisdom is basically the proper combination of knowledge with experience. However, both the knowledge and the experience of the emerging generation are going to be different from past generations.

Many in my generation believed that the Lord was still healing and doing miracles today, they just rarely saw them. Because of this they have grown more in subtle cynicism than faith.

I have seen some of these try to temper the rising faith of the youth so that they will not be disappointed when things do not happen. If that is our tendency we need to repent, quickly.

The Lord completely removed the faithless generation so that they would not be a stumbling block to the ones called to take the land, and He will remove us also if we persist in this.

We can still be "Joshuas" and "Calebs" by resolving not to be disturbed by how big the enemy is or by how weak we are, but on how great our God is, and He will prevail through us if we trust Him.

Disappointment is not nearly as bad as not believing. Start promoting faith, and start expecting miracles. The experience of the coming generation will not be the same as the last.

It is always true wisdom to believe God. It takes faith to please Him, and true faith in Him will never fail. Living in a spirit that tries to avoid disappointment will always fail.

"FOUR TRENDS TO CONSIDER"

I have noticed several interesting trends in what is happening with us at Heritage that I think could be helpful to others who are now experiencing a breakthrough.

TREND 1

The first trend is that some of the greatest miracles have taken place after most of the people have left the meeting. This time is sometimes referred to as "the afterglow," when people are just milling about talking and reviewing the things which have just happened. Why does the Lord seem to move so powerfully during that time?

There is a difference between human energy, excitement, and faith that is sometimes hard to distinguish. True faith is often accompanied by excitement and always with expectation, but they are not always the same and are often confused.

True faith can be quiet, even reserved. True excitement can also be very quiet and reserved. They can also be loud and vivacious because the Lord made us different.

When I first started ministering in Germany, Switzerland, and Scandinavia, I was disconcerted by the level of skepticism. Then I was told by the Lord that it was good skepticism and not bad.

When I asked for understanding, I was shown that good skepticism wants to believe, but you had better have the goods because they will thoroughly check you out.

This is the "faith of the Bereans" who resolved to listen with openness to the teachings of Paul, but checked out everything by the Scriptures.

On the other hand, bad skepticism wants to doubt and will gladly accept a molehill of evidence that confirms their doubts, while rejecting a mountain of evidence to the contrary.

Those with good skepticism are worth working with. I noticed after many visits that those who seemed to be doubting my teaching were actually deeply pondering it, and years later they could not only tell me in great detail what I had taught, but after checking it out and confirming it, they were now living it.

Contrary to this, I have had many people who seemed to be the most excited about my message in a meeting but were unable to tell me one thing that I said right after the meeting.

Years later these people would be just as excited in meetings, but in their lives you could hardly tell any true spiritual maturity. What audience would you rather have? It may be more fun to preach to the excitable, but for lasting fruit I will always take the deeper ones.

Of course, there are some who can be very demonstrative and still be deep and have great faith, which includes faithfulness. My point is to not judge one another after the flesh or externals but after the spirit.

"GOD HEALS BECAUSE HE LOVES PEOPLE"

In the Scriptures, we see that Jesus usually did His greatest miracles, such as walking on the water, when there were just a few present. After some of His greatest healing miracles, He told them not to tell anyone, but to go to the priests and offer thanks to God. Why wouldn't He want them to tell everyone so that more people would believe in Him?

Here is a unique truth--God healed few people so that they would believe in Him. In most cases, He only healed those who did believe in Him. If God wanted to do miracles so people would believe in Him, He could do better ones than healing the sick, even the crippled and blind.

The Jews asked for that when they wanted a sign from Heaven. They wanted Him to do something in the sky, stop the sun or something like Joshua did. The Lord could easily do such things as stopping the sun today or writing His name in the Heavens with the stars so that no one could deny Him, but that is not what He is trying to do.

After the Lord did many of His great miracles, many had their hearts even more hardened, persecuting Him even more vehemently because of the works that He did.

They were so hard-hearted that after He raised the dead, they even resolved to kill Him. Greater miracles and faith usually result in more persecution, not more people coming to faith in Jesus. We see this also happening with the apostles and with Stephen in the Book of Acts.

We can expect that the way the Lord is moving now will ultimately result in many coming to faith in Him, but not necessarily because of the miracles directly, but because of the preaching of the Gospel by His people who are being emboldened.

True evangelism is not dependent on miracles, but on the Holy Spirit to convict of sin and the desperate need we have for the atonement of the Cross. Of course, there are exceptions to this, and we may all know someone who came to the Lord because of witnessing a miracle or were healed by Him, but I think we will find this to be a tiny percentage of those who now serve Him.

Of the ten blind men who were healed, only one returned to thank Him. I think the Lord still wanted to heal them because He loved them, but even the greatest miracles do not necessarily lead one to follow Him.

God heals because He loves people, and He does not like for them to suffer. He does miracles because we need them. This is why compassion is so crucial for a true healing ministry.

This is not human compassion, but God's compassion, which we also need to learn to distinguish between. Human compassion, or those trying to use miracles as a witness, would have probably tried to heal all of the people sitting around the pool of Siloam, but God's compassion led Jesus to heal only one.

Jesus must have stepped over some pretty bad cases to get to that one, but He was not led by human compassion and only did what He saw the Father doing. The more obedient we become, the more power we can be trusted with.

"TOUCHING THE HEM OF THE LORD'S GARMENTS TO BE HEALED"

Even so, having an atmosphere of faith is crucial for the Lord to do miracles. Even the Lord Jesus Himself could not do much when there was unbelief. For this reason it is often appropriate to have those who are healed give public testimonies, which can help others to believe for what they need.

We must never forget the graciousness of the Lord and how He will do many things to help us in our weaknesses, even our unbelief. However, we do need to learn to discern between human excitement and true faith, which can be very quiet and seemingly reserved, like the shy woman who just reached out to touch the hem of the Lord's garments to be healed.

Do not dismiss the quiet, shy ones, who may feel presumptuous to even push forward for prayer. They may not even come forth until everything else has quieted down. We have had some major miracles happen to people who were too shy to go on the stage to testify about them.

This did not mean that they were not thankful, and they obviously had great faith in God, but not in themselves to be able to speak to a large crowd. We personally do not want to embarrass or force anyone to testify who does not feel comfortable with it.

We may ask them to email or write to us explaining what happened to them, but I think we will see more miracles if we keep our attention on people receiving what they need and not on just getting the testimonies.

Because of what I have learned about the good skeptics and the bad ones, we are not going too far out of our way to verify miracles. Some miracles we have experienced have been undeniable because they happened right in front of our eyes. However, some have doubted these, even when they saw them! Go figure.

They are so afraid of being taken in that they cannot be taken out of their darkness. To be overly concerned about convincing such people can be as deadly a trap as falling into their black hole with them.

When it is convenient, we may take the verification of medical records and such, but we have resolved to keep our focus on pursuing the Lord and His work, letting the good skeptics check it out and prove them and the bad skeptics believe what they will.

TREND 2

The second trend I have observed is that many of the great miracles take place and no one, including the person who received the healing or miracle, knows who prayed for them.

I love this because Jesus receives the glory and the people's faith grows in Jesus rather than in those praying for them. I have always appreciated that in ministries like Benny Hinn's. He just provides an atmosphere of faith and expectation, shares some words of knowledge, and people get healed all over the audience with no one personally praying for them.

The churches that experience the most healings and miracles are likewise usually those that provide an atmosphere of faith and expectation, and the faith and expectation is directed to the Lord rather than the church or healing ministries. This could be summed up as learning to be a good host for the Holy Spirit.

TREND 3

A third trend I have noticed is that many are healed or experience a great miracle after going home. This can happen the next day or even days after they were prayed for.

Every healing is from God, regardless of how long it takes or how it happens. Even if it happens by the mechanisms He put in us for fighting disease, it is still the Lord doing it. What we usually call "a healing" is more than that.

It is basically a speeding up of the process and jumping over normal or natural processes to do it quicker. We have seen a number of broken bones healed either instantly or in just a couple of days when it should have taken weeks, but even the ones that take weeks we should still thank Him for.

Even so, as we are seeing many diseases on the horizon or upon us that are beyond human remedy and beyond our body's ability to fight, we must know Jesus as our Healer. We should be thankful for human medicine and remedies, which the Lord gave the wisdom and skills to develop.

However, we should pursue having a healing ministry in the body of Christ that is so powerful and dependable that His people will not need hospitals or human remedies. The times that we are entering will require this.

For now though, if we do not get healed miraculously, we should not feel rejected or condemned, but rather thankful for the doctor He has provided. However, when possible, we need to turn to Him first and always trust Him regardless of how He provides for us.

TREND 4

The fourth trend is that the smallest meetings have tended to be the most powerful, which have been so pronounced that we start getting more excited when we see that it is going to be a smaller crowd in a meeting.

We have had meetings so packed that it was almost impossible for our teams to get to the people and individually pray for them. Because of the crowds, these have been great and encouraging meetings, and we are happy for them when there are that many people seeking God.

Every time this happens, a few days later we will have some very small meetings, and it seems that the Lord moves with far greater power in these. Do not despise small meetings! Keep in mind that the Lord did His greatest miracles in small groups.

"THIS PRESENT REVIVAL"

"THE ORDINATION"

This past Monday I was invited to the Lakeland Revival to be present at Todd Bentley's ordination. For the sake of clarity, this was not Todd's ordination into ministry, which he received long ago, but was a specific ordination by a small group including Bill Johnson, Che Ahn, and John Arnott.

These three have agreed to help oversee Todd's ministry for the "Lakeland Revival." It was a unique and specific type of ordination that I think the Lord was in.

I was asked to be there with some others who represent different streams that appreciate and support what is happening in Lakeland and Todd's ministry in particular. I also wanted to be there to express the high degree of trust and appreciation for the three who have agreed to oversee Todd's ministry in this way.

The Lakeland Revival is now a world event, touching many nations and denominations. As its impact has grown, so has the controversy and persecution. That is standard for any true move of God, and we should not be surprised by it.

This is especially true of ministries or movements that release God's power for healing, miracles, and deliverance. When the Lord Jesus started performing miracles, the persecution began in earnest.

When the miracles became more spectacular, the persecution increased. When He raised someone from the dead, the conservative religious community of the times resolved to kill Him.

That startling hardness of heart is the result of letting a religious spirit gain dominion in our lives. A main strategy of the religious spirit is to get us to honor what God has done in order to justify persecuting what He is doing.

I have known Todd Bentley for about a decade, and he is a man of exceptional theological depth, revelatory gifting, and the leader of a large and growing multi-faceted ministry that has had a significant impact on many nations.

I have been to Abbotsford, B.C. a few times to speak at Fresh Fire Conferences, and I always marvel at the substance and excellence of what Todd has been able to build in such a short period of time as well as the quality of people on his team.

I am saying all of this because there is much more to Todd Bentley and Fresh Fire Ministries than has yet been revealed through what is now happening in Lakeland.

I know Todd as someone who can teach or preach with a rare depth and clarity, but Lakeland is not really about that, at least not yet. It is about an impartation of faith, power, and fire. Right now we, the body of Christ, need these more than we need more teaching and strategy.

One of the basic laws of physics applies here. You cannot change the direction of an object unless it is moving, and before we need more strategy and direction, we need to wake up the church and get it moving. Lakeland is waking up the church, including the many who are naysayers and critics, but at least she is being awakened.

Now I do not want to dismiss all of the naysayers or critics too quickly. They serve their purpose and can be very helpful, even if not in the way that they presume.

This is not to say that Todd or the Lakeland Revival do not need correction or cannot make mistakes. Todd is not perfect and neither is anyone else I know.

However, if someone is going to criticize, we need to check their credentials. If someone has a significant healing and miracle ministry, we should listen to them in relation to the ministry of healing and miracles.

If someone has been used to start and shepherd a significant revival, I would listen to him much more about his views of a revival than someone who has only read or written about them.

"A CHORD OF THREE STRANDS"

Now let's look briefly at the credentials of the three who have agreed to oversee Todd's ministry in the Lakeland Revival. John Arnott was used by God to start and oversee the extraordinary Toronto Renewal.

This is a move of God that has touched and helped heal and renew multitudes of believers, churches, and even whole movements and denominations, around the world.

It is also a fire that has continued to burn for over a decade—a remarkable accomplishment in the history of revivals and renewal movements. With this kind of experience, it makes him a true elder in the church in the gate of renewal or revival movements.

Bill Johnson not only has a significant healing and miracle ministry, but he is one of the greatest equippers who has been used to help release and mature these gifts in thousands of students who have come through his school in Redding, California, as well as stirring them up in a large part of the body of Christ through his books, teachings, and travels.

Bill has done this from and through the local church setting, seeking to release these gifts in a major way to and through the church. Throughout much of the advancing church at this time, Bill Johnson would be in just about everyone's top few of authorities on healing, miracles, and understanding the supernatural aspects of the Christian walk.

Che Ahn is one of the emerging great church builders. He is not only the leader of a significant church in Pasadena, but Harvest International Ministries is now a network of hundreds of churches. He is a church man who loves the church, and his heartbeat message is about building the church with a kingdom perspective.

Lou Engle, the leader of The Call, one of the most powerful ministries mobilizing the youth and intercessory prayer in our times, was raised up under Che Ahn. When they called together youth to the mall in Washington a few years ago, more than 400,000 responded.

On August 16, The Call in Washington could gather even more. Che Ahn knows how to build healthy local churches, to raise up and release new movements, as well as help oversee huge gatherings of God's people for important events.

My point is that the three who Todd now has as overseers have a unique and extraordinary deposit of experience and wisdom in the important areas that are being touched by the Lakeland Revival.

They are also all strong and successful local church builders. It would be hard for me to think of three more brilliant choices for this, and I greatly appreciate Todd's wisdom in it.

Does this mean that everything in Lakeland is perfect or will be perfect? Of course not. As qualified as these three may be to oversee this, they are all very busy.

They cannot micromanage what is happening in Lakeland, but they will be there to step in if there are serious issues that need to be addressed.

It is my conviction that this ordination can help keep the Lakeland Revival on track and help it to have much more longevity.

Stephen Strader, the pastor of Ignited Church where this revival broke out, is also a man of great wisdom and depth in all of these areas. He is a revivalist who moves in a great power ministry himself, but he is also a true pastor with a pastor's heart.

As a local church leader in Lakeland, vitally in touch with the revival from the beginning, I really could not think of anyone I would rather have on the ground there than Strader, knowing that he will not hesitate to help give input when it is needed.

I think the Lakeland Revival is now about as well-covered and overseen as I could imagine it being done. Great revivals, even in recent times, have been shut down by officials coming in to oversee and dictate policy who were not really in touch with the heart and spirit of the revival.

This is always a dangerous thing for any movement or revival, but I think this one was divinely ordained and can enable what is happening in Lakeland to go to a new level.

"PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS FROM LAKELAND"

I was only in Lakeland for a few hours and had to leave the meeting right after the ordination. I also try to keep in mind that "we see in part." Even so, the following is a little more from a personal perspective about what is happening in Lakeland.

When I first heard about the outbreak in Lakeland, I felt that it was the beginning of something very significant and maybe the beginning of what we have been waiting for. When I first watched some of it on God-TV, I became even more excited.

After being there for just a few minutes, I was even more so. This is a major impartation from God, and it will have significant consequences for what is about to unfold.

I wanted to go to the tent before many people did so I could get a feel for the place, but there were already thousands worshiping, praying, and fellowshipping there long before the meeting was to start.

The place was charged with expectation. I saw many people I knew, and everyone I saw seemed more alive than the last time I'd seen them, even people from our own congregation at Heritage. I took a seat on the second row to kind of absorb the atmosphere.

The quickening was so strong that I decided if nothing happened from the platform, it was well worth coming to just sit in that quickening atmosphere.

They came to get me to sit on the platform, and it was interesting how the anointing seemed different there. It was still good, but different. Even so, I enjoyed seeing Todd and a number of other friends I had not seen in awhile.

When Todd came over and put his arm around me, it was a hug, but I also felt that I kind of needed to hold him up. He is under the kind of anointing that does stagger you and actually makes you feel drunk, which is why they thought the disciples on the Day of Pentecost were drunk with wine.

Under this kind of anointing, I knew Todd might not be able to do some of the in-depth teaching and preaching he is capable of, but I don't think that is really the purpose of Lakeland anyway.

Probably the greatest revival in church history was The Welsh Revival of 1904 – 1906, and there was no significant message that came out of it other than God moving and awakening His church, which it did around the world.

The Azusa Street Revival was different—it was about the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Even though the main theme of Lakeland seems to be the healing and miracles, I think it may actually be about something more, but more subtle.

In studying Azusa Street and the writings that came out of the early leaders of the Pentecostal Movement, I occasionally happened upon a remarkable belief that many of them had.

They were convinced that what they had received was the true baptism in the Holy Spirit, but many were still looking for another baptism to come—the baptism of fire.

As is typical of this type of thing, even with the baptism in the Holy Spirit before it came, there was not much definition given to what they thought the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire would be like. Many were expecting another element (the fire aspect) of the baptism, but I never read where any thought that they had received this aspect.

Of course, the theology of this is debatable, but I have expected a baptism of fire to come upon the church that would so consume the Laodicean lukewarmness that the church would be radically transformed by it.

I have prophesied it in a number of ways which has been sown throughout my writings and messages, mostly as a great passion for the Lord. I saw that this passion for Jesus would be so contagious that anyone who got close to it would be infected, and once infected could never be cured!

It was a fiery love for the Son of God that would come upon the church so that she would truly do everything she needed to do to be a worthy bride prepared for the coming King. This fire would also make His messengers like flames of fire burning with passion for His gospel and His purposes.

I know that Lakeland is mostly about healing and miracles, which are crucial aspects of the Lord's ministry that are being reawakened in the church and imparted to many there. Even so, I felt fire when I was there.

I am not yet saying this is it, but I think one thing that is being released there is at least a preparation for a coming baptism of fire upon the church. We may not be able to give the true definition of this until it has come. At the very least, those who come to Lakeland with an open heart will leave with a renewed fire in their heart for the Lord.

The Lakeland Revival has already become a major infusion of zeal for the Lord that is impacting a large part of the church in a very positive way. For too many years, almost every Christian leader was saying "the Lord is about to do something."

Now almost everyone I talk to is saying "the Lord is doing something!" Where there has been hope, it has jumped into faith and expectation, and where the Lord finds this He will do wonders.

Todd has an amazing depth, maturity, and wisdom for his age, but he is still young. He might say some things wrong occasionally and say or do things that are hard to understand. His tattoos are real hard for some people to take, but those tattoos seem to be the very thing that have attracted many, especially the emerging generation, to him and his message.

I have heard numerous reports of people who have become almost addicted to watching the revival on God-TV because they were channel surfing and were so captivated by Todd's appearance when that they could not stop watching. Then they started listening. Now they are on fire for God.

Even those who would never get a tattoo at least view him as a genuine person with no facades. My opinion of Todd for the years I have known him is that he is one of the most genuine people I have ever known, still untainted by religion, but one of the greatest lovers of God and His truth.

He is also deeply compassionate, and is greatly touched by people's infirmities, which is always the foundation of a true healing ministry. Todd is the real thing, and he has many very real people around him who are true friends of God.

As stated, that does not mean Todd could never stumble or make mistakes. He could just like any of us. I think Todd is a lot like the Peter, who would either walk on water or drown trying.

He will press the limits, and like Peter, be used for some of the greatest breakthroughs, but at times need a severe rebuke. People with that nature do make mistakes, but they are also the ones who do the greatest exploits, and it is obvious that the Lord really loves people like Peter.

If Peter had not been there on the Day of Pentecost, there probably would not have been a harvest of three thousand souls, but maybe only twenty.

"TODD HAS BEEN SENT TO OFFEND THE RELIGIOUS SPIRIT AND TO BE AN OFFENSE TO THE COMPLACENT, AND THANK THE LORD IT IS WORKING!"

Todd came to Concord, North Carolina last week to do a one night meeting. The arena was packed to overflowing with eight thousand people, and reports were that there were as many turned away as who got in.

There was gridlock on Hwy 49 for over six miles. When the police drove up and down the road, telling people to go home because no more could get into the arena, crowds poured out of their cars just to worship on the side of the road. That sounds like true revival to me.

Usually your greatest strengths can also be your greatest weaknesses, and Todd is vulnerable. Everyone has blindsides, and though I appreciate Todd seeking covering from those he thinks can help him stay on track, no amount of human covering can keep us from making mistakes. It is also hard to be on stage every night for as long as he is and not occasionally say or do something wrong or foolish.

"IF TODD DOES SOMETHING FOOLISH, IT WILL PROBABLY BE IN FRONT OF AN INERNATIONAL TELEVISION AUDIENCE. HE HAS MANY CRITICS THAT ARE WAITING LIKE 'PACKS OF WOLVES' TO JUMP ON ANYTHING THEY CAN."

The more that power is released, the more vicious these attacks will become. We really need to discern between the voice of the true shepherds and the voice of the accuser of the brethren, who will use any inroad he can to get brethren to accuse other brethren.

Historically, the most vicious of all attacks have come from threatened church leaders, especially the leaders of the previous move of God. This is a terrible tragedy that we really need to pray will get broken this time...

These really are the times we have all be dreaming of. They are already better in some ways than we were expecting, but the promise is that they are yet to get even much better. There is just no end to the goodness of God.

Regardless of whether you can make it to Lakeland, Heritage, or the other places that are now experiencing a breakthrough, you can meet with Him right where you are.

Let us not be like the cripple who was sitting by the healing pool, waiting for someone to come stir the waters, when the King Himself was standing right next to him!

Today, we received a two-part important prophetic word that came in from Wendy Alec of God.tv which i sensed needed to be shared with you here.

It is particularly important for those of you who are intercessors to begin to stand in the gap and to pray concerning the things that you are about to read below because it involves coming judgements (and further revival outbreaks) that are about to come to the west coast.

We as true believers should have a heart to stand in the gap rather than to stand-by as critical spectators during this most crucial time in our nation.

True intercessors will stand in the gap and cry out to God on the behalf of their nations and regions. The religious-minded will stand by with judgmental hearts and critical spirits, to watch the world fall apart, and go to hell in a hand-basket.

So let's not find ourselves in the place of being judgement-happy as so many are on the internet, but let's show forth the character of Christ and be moved with His love in our hearts for our nations and regions, making a difference with our lives for the glory of God.

Right now, the move of God is accelerating upon the world-scene on one hand, while on the other hand everything that can be shaken, will continue to be shaken down.

Always remember: No matter what happens the Lord still expects us to have a Christ-like heart attitude, to love and to pray for our nations, and for each other with pure hearts and right motives.

*THE SHAKING – THE JUDGEMENT IS COMING

*IDOLATRY - THE GOLDEN GATE FALLS – LOS ANGELES – REVIVAL FIRE

Dear Friends:

I was awoken in the early hours of the morning to hear the words ringing out -' THE BAY THE BAY THE BAY THE BAY' – As I currently live in the UK and am not at all familiar with the West Coast.

I did not know even know what The Bay meant other than that I knew the Lord was saying CALIFORNIA - but once again I sensed a strong red alert for San Francisco.

It was only a day LATER that I discovered that the Bay area covers San Francisco. I knew the Lord was trying to get my attention.

Words of judgement are often not well received and I have held back on this word for several weeks to weigh it intensely, but under the fear of the Lord I feel I must deliver it now so that those with a burden for the West coast can pray, so that many, many will come to repentance in this present hour and also that God's faithful servants will know his supernatural protection in the times to come.

This is what I saw.THE BAY THE BAY THE BAY THE BAY - ANGELS OF JUDGEMENT CARRYING GOLDEN SCYTHES

I saw two huge Angels of Judgement carrying what seemed to be huge golden threshing instruments that looked like scythes. They were crying out in loud voices:

'THE BAY THE BAY THE BAY THE BAY' and again they cried out - 'THE BAY THE BAY THE BAY THE BAY.'

I did not know what that meant except that I knew that it was CALIFORNIA and I had the same dread for San Francisco that I had experienced before when I had received the 'West Coast' Prophecy.

And I saw a mighty shaking and trembling begin under the earth.

And the Lord said – 'From under the Pacific it shall come – in Fire and in water – it shall come.'

It was hardly noticeable at first but it was as though the whole city froze as one and then the shaking and the terror and THEN THE FIRE CAME

I saw a horrifying inferno -- A literal inferno.

I saw ravaged land - ravaged, ravaged cities.

But one city received the full force of this terror and earthquake and this is what the warning was crying out 'THE BAY – THE BAY'

And I saw the heavens were black – blacker than black and there was no light – all light was extinguished.

And the smoke continued to rise and thousands upon thousands of this city were killed at the first strike.

But I saw a second strike.

A second strike

And I saw water - water devastating parts of the West Coast – to the NORTH – THE NORTH – beware the NORTH – THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIAN COASTLINE

I still saw plumes of smoke rising from charred buildings.

There was not just one city affected. It was more than one - on the Northern California Coast.

People were bleeding and dying.

The emergency services were hindered greatly from reaching The Bay in good time – they were prepared but no one could prepare for this and the suffering was intense.

I heard many cursing God – even in their suffering instead of crying out for mercy they were cursing God.

But I also heard those crying out in desperation for His mercy and the Angel of the Lord spoke the Word of the Lord

And I heard him say 'And these ones I shall by no means cast out.'

EMPTY CISTERNS – EMPTY CISTERNS – SCALES OF JUDGEMENT FULL

And the moon turned a strange colour of crimson.

And the haze hung over the bay for many days and nights.

And the city was silent.

Thousands of people were left crushed - drowned.

I felt this was further up the coast than Los Angeles – more to the North, though Los Angeles was shaken it was not as devastating as The BAY the Lord was talking about.

EMPTY CISTERNS I saw written in the sky EMPTY CISTERNS above San Francisco – and the scales – the scales of sin and judgement were full – so full that judgement could not be withheld over San Francisco.

LOS ANGELES – A SPIRITUAL FLAME –ANGELS ON THE WIND – REVIVAL BREAKS FORTH

And then I saw Los Angeles – and it seemed a different scenario – and I knew that the Lord held in great esteem and looked down with a great and enduring compassion on His servants - His prophets –His intercessors - His servants who had stood in the gap for Los Angeles.

And I saw many intercessors who had stood in the gap day and night for Los Angeles and California and I wondered if these faithful servants of God were the reason that in the former vision I only saw a partial devastation of Los Angeles – great swathes of Los Angeles were PROTECTED.

But San Francisco and along the northern coast seemed to receive the full brunt of the ferocious shaking.

There was a great scale in the sky and I saw one side of the scale weighed right down with sin and iniquity.

I still remember being shocked because I still heard many in San Francisco still cursing God - and I knew that was a reflection of how sin and rebellion against the most high God had blackened the hearts of men in this city.

LOS ANGELES

And I was taken back to Los Angeles.

And I saw a spiritual flame burning from Los Angeles and the Southern Coastline of California.

And I saw Angels on the wind over Los Angeles with a banner REVIVAL BREAKS FORTH

And a connection with LAKELAND – this seemed to be happening in a second timeline that was not the same timeline as the former vision but was more in the present season.

But it made me wonder if this calamitous event was not coming quicker than we knew or thought.

PART TWO:

SAN FRANCISCO – GOLDEN GATE
ALTAR OF HARLOTS AND IDOLATERS – BAAL - IDOLATRY

But then I was led back to San Francisco and the great devastation ahead in the future –

And I saw a sign in the sky that read THE GOLDEN GATE – ALTAR OF HARLOTS AND IDOLATERS – And I saw the words BAAL and IDOLATRY – LASCIVIOUSNESS – LUST – SODOM AND GOMORRAH

And I saw the face of the Angels of Judgement were set fiercely against this city and the word of the Lord came forth saying – 'For I have set my face against this land – and even in a moment I shall smite it' – and I saw the fall of the Golden Gate - cut in two and how the mighty were brought to the ground even in a moment. And I saw above the Golden gate bridge written IDOLATRY.

And I saw the city of San Francisco a devastation – blackened and even to the coastline to the North of San Francisco –

'CRY OUT, CRY OUT!' cried the Angels of the Lord –'CRY OUT, CRY OUT to the Most High God for surely your idols have fallen – every one – and no more shall they rise.'

RAINBOW RISING FROM THE STRETCHES OF NORTH CALIFORNIA OVER SAN FRANCISCO TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA – I SHALL ESTABLISH IN THIS PLACE MY GOLDEN GATE

And then I saw a rainbow – the most glorious sight – it rose from the stretches of Northern California and over the devastated city of San Francisco and then over to Southern California and it blazed with every colour as bright as the sun and out of the radiance I saw a GOLDEN GATE – it seemed so huge and so glorious it looked as the gates of heaven – and I heard the Lord say – 'And now I shall establish in this place MY GOLDEN GATE –

A gate of repentance –

A gate of revival –

A gate of cleansing –

A gate of Holiness'.

And I saw a remnant in that charred city come out from under the angel's robes – and over their heads was written FAITHFUL and TRUE –and The Lord said 'These are those who stood for me in this city of San Francisco-

These are those who have wept and pleaded and interceded for this city day and night without ceasing. These are those who were My gate keepers of this city – who heralded in revival – and poured out My Spirit even in the face of great opposition and persecution – these are those who are greatly BELOVED by me.'

And I saw that the Lord Himself had placed them under the angel's mantle and that these faithful pastors and apostles, these intercessors and prophets had been divinely protected by the Lord's own hand from this harm

...and I saw the Father's hand pick them up and set them on high with heaven's Golden Gate – as His chosen gatekeepers for the new move of His spirit that would sweep through the Northern parts and coastline of California.

And I heard the Lord say 'REDDING - REDDING ' – and I saw a vast thick elixir like golden river flowing from REDDING to San Francisco - San Jose and on to Los Angeles – and these forks in the river were all connected.

LOS ANGELES – SEVENTEEN HUGE BLAZING LIGHTS
A SIGN READ - MORE TIME – REVIVAL FIRE
A GREAT GRACE SHALL ARISE FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

Then the Lord directed me to look back to Los Angeles – and I saw Los Angeles shaken but by no means devastated or destroyed. And I saw as the rainbow encircled Los Angeles great swathes of light beaming up into the night skies-

– these were blazing beams of light almost as from monstrous searchlights. And there were thousands of them – some were very small like pinpricks but others were so huge and filled the night sky.

And the Lord said – 'This is the reason My hand has been stayed for yet a season for Los Angeles. For these are My servants – HOLY and TRUE. '

And once again – it seemed I was taken back to a second timeline more in this present and coming season before the devastation that was to come

And I saw thousands of the tiniest of lights were small groups of intercessors meeting in their homes – one on one – in small groups – piercing the heavenlies, then the brighter lights were fellowships' of churches all across Los Angeles and California-

– but there were seventeen of the strongest monstrous searchlights – I saw around five in Los Angeles itself, the rest were across Northern and Southern California – and the Angels' of the Lord cried 'HOLY HOLY ARE YOU LORD – HOLY IS THE LAMB.'

And I sensed that these were the blazing lights of those who had followed the Lamb wherever He went with great sacrifice to their own lives and their own agendas – and it was because of these ones that the Judgement over Los Angeles would be stayed and I saw a sign that read –

MORE TIME - REVIVAL FIRE

– And I sensed a GREAT SHIFT IN THE SPIRIT CENTERING ON LOS ANGELES AND CALIFORNIA – THIS WAS HAPPENING NOW IN THIS PRESENT SEASON

– I sensed the Lord was IN THIS PRESENT SEASON about to turn His FOCUS and INTIMATE ATTENTION on Los Angeles and California – and it was a BLAZING FOCUS

– I felt the Fathers eyes were as hot coals blazing with His Mercy, His Judgement yet with His infinite grace upon the West coast and especially Los Angeles – that He had been deeply stirred by the cries of His people.

AND I SAW ANOTHER SIGN THAT READ – REVIVAL FIRES IN THE WEST and I saw the streams from Redding join with several of the streams in Los Angeles.

And a fiery molten stream from LAKELAND. This stream was literally so intense – hissing and burning with the fire's of the Ancient of Days - it was blazing red hot coals everywhere it passed.

And then I saw different streams emanating from some of these light bearers and I saw molten silver river flow and a molten ruby fire river flow from another and from another flowed a river of diamond like molten fire.

And I realised that where the Lamb was worshipped and adored, the Lord was about to JOIN some streams together and it was out of this that California's revival fire would come.

And I saw the words – A GREAT GRACE – A GREAT GRACE – and the Lord said - 'A GREAT GRACE SHALL ARISE FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA THAT SHALL IMPACT THE NORTH EVEN TO THE STATE OF WASHINGTON – EVEN TO SEATTLE,' SAYS THE LORD – 'AND TO VANCOUVER IT SHALL BLAZE

THE PACIFIC – KOREA – SINGAPORE – I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN YOU

and the Pacific – the Pacific' says the Lord – 'across the Pacific these fires will go – ASIA.' And I saw CHINA and JAPAN and KOREA lit by streams of these molten rivers from Los Angeles –

-and I saw a molten river from CHINA – a different river - the river from China was the only river that had live jumping fish swimming upstream – and I seemed to sense the fish represented a huge catch of souls – that evangelists from China had some part in evangelism of the West Coast

–and this river was flowing back to the West Coast also - even a great outpouring on the Chinese communities in California ahead - and South Korea but also the North – North Korea – 'And SINGAPORE', says the lord-

– 'Singapore – you have worshipped mammon – you have worshipped that which has been built with bricks and mortar –that which has been by your own hand and you have turned away and have forgotten me – but I am coming to SINGAPORE-

– even in a moment – and even as the stocks and the shares of the east shall shake and stand in the balance – so Singapore I shall yet show you my love for you – for I have commissioned you to proclaim my gospel even to the far reaches of the East – even to Mongolia your evangelists will go,' says the Lord-

– 'To Malaysia, Indonesia and far beyond –for I have not forgotten you, Singapore - and you shall yet see the King in his beauty even in your land.'

Dear Joshua Family Subscribers and friends:

Today, i am including two important messages with prophetic insights for you, which i believe will be of great encouragement to a number of you out there.

Theresa (Tess) Phillips wrote an awesome article on "BEWARE OF THE POLITICAL YEAR" and sent it in over last weekend for review. When i read and pondered this, it reminded me so much, of what i have seen and experienced myself, in regards to the atmosphere in various situations in the past, and it really shed some fresh light on the topic. Great article Tess!

Then, the second article here today was written by Ching Co, from the Philippines, whom i have received various messages from since 2002, on "A VISION OF A MAN IN A RACE CAR." I know that when you read it, it will not only encourage you, but will also resound in your spirit man, as it did with me. It relates to the Holy Spirit, as the driver of the car in the vision. Simply awesome!

"BEWARE OF THE POLITICAL YEAR"

Several months ago a minister friend told me,"We are entering a Political year, and the Politics for position are going to heat up." Whew, did I receive this word, but it was with an "ouch" in my spirit.

Recently, while attending a conference, I was suddenly overcome by the Lord with a powerful unction to leave the conference, go back to my hotel room and pray! Now mind you, I RARELY leave a meeting, and I am seldom ever late! I even resist leaving when nature calls. I was raised with the understanding that you don't walk out on God.

My secretary attended the conference with me. I quickly told her, "In 10 minutes we are to leave this building, go back to the hotel, and pray." Without a question, she agreed. She knows from experience what I am like when God is moving me to act fast, and I was blessed by her quick response. So we went back to the hotel.

As we prayed, God began to download heavenly things to me from the atmosphere above us. I saw a large curtain, rolled up in metal cuffs. Then I saw two blades, but only one handle.

I asked the Lord what this was, and He told me that one was the blade of a small dagger and the other one was the Sword of the Spirit. I was still seeing the cloth above my head at this time, and it was rolled up and full of color. The cloth was being held in place by 9 cuffs of iron.

The Lord then asked me, "Is it enough to have the dagger to poke holes in the fabric and get a trickle of Glory? Or is it wiser to swing the sword of the Spirit and cut the cuffs or shackles off the fabric?"

Inside the fabric were the gifts God IS willing to pass out in this present day. They are the supernatural manifestations of His essence, His tangible Presence.

"BUT SOMETHING WAS STOPPING IT!" THE LORD REVEALED THESE TWO REASONS:

1. A lack of unity, and

2. A power struggle to be "number one." Political struggle...

Upon learning this, I was so shocked that I wept and immediately phoned one of my mentors.

Then, God let me know that my life had taken a different turn. The Holy Spirit was leading me to make a change in my walk. He was calling met to obey Him, no matter what, regardless of the cost.

My heart was being challenged. Who was I willing to obey? The voices of men, or the will of my Father in Heaven? Was I discerning His voice, or was this idea coming from me? Was it possible for me to try to pass this off as something I heard someone else say?

While lying on the bed at the hotel, I began to weep inside because I knew I was going to receive another challenging word from the Lord. I was right. It came later.

My mentor, who was staying in the same hotel, came to my room. I shared this word from the Lord with her. Deep down in my heart, I felt like asking, "Can we make a difference?" I also felt my soul begin to plead with the Lord to take control and change me.

While we were still talking about it, I already knew the solution. It was going to take corporate unity to break off the shackles. These shackles were represented by the iron cuffs that were holding back the curtain containing glorious gifts from Abba, Father.

I knew that the meeting I was in was not to be the place these gifts would manifest. It grieves the Lord to see anyone force a move of God. I learned a long time ago that just because you get a word from the Lord does not necessarily mean it's the right time to share it with others! I was certain this word would have to be released only according to HIS perfect will, time and place.

"LIKE NOW!"

I left the hotel room with my mentor and attended the rest of the conference. I was relieved, yet I was not...

I was soon back in the realm again of the Spirit and God reminded me of the night in 2004 that President Bush won the election, and then his election was contested.

"THE WAR OF POWER HAD BEGUN AND I WAS SENSING THIS VERY SPIRIT ACTIVE AGAIN."

I am NOT saying that the meeting I was in had that spirit, but I sensed the same type of atmospheric presence making me aware of the spiritual struggles of power that are over many ministries today.

I could feel the power struggle as if it were tangable.

I was grateful the Spirit of the Lord gave me a scripture then ad there. We do wage war, not against flesh, but against principalities in the AIR.

Ephesians 6:12 (Amplified Bible) For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.

I was really feeling the same atmosphere I did the night of the presidential election in 2004. Then I remembered the minister who recently spoke to me about this coming year being a political year.

I decided then and there that I wanted to make the name of Jesus famous rather than my own name.

I have begged the Lord tell me the secret to unlocking the supernatural manifestations over all of us and not for just a select few. I am fully aware some people will carry the Glory in a much more prominent atmosphere than others. But can't we all have access to it?

"OR HAVE WE BEEN COMPETITIVE OVER IT?"

The Lord then clearly spoke to me and said, "Yes, it is my Good Pleasure to give it to you ALL."

Ephesians 1:8-10 (New International Version) ...that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.

"I WAS BASKING IN THAT THOUGHT WHEN ANOTHER WORD OF THE LORD CAME TO ME..."

Luke 12:32 (Amplified Bible) Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom!

This spoke volumes to me and I received it personally, for our ministry is not large. Then I began to realize that little flocks need not to be fearful…for it IS HIS desire for us all to have the Kingdom …HIS Kingdom.

BUT it is HIS KINGDOM, NOT OURS. This is why God was giving me awareness of the political atmosphere.

Was I foolish to think I could carry a part of the Glory?

Was I wanted in that realm?

Did I make a mistake wanting to be With HIM on such a level being so small a ministry was it ego? Was it jealousy, was it??

And yet I was being abandoned for the very thing GOD was doing in our midst ..

I was getting emails I was getting phone calls letters etc questioning me as if i were unable to do what GOD was telling me to do. What was it?

Then I know it was political warfare and I knew He voted for me.

I can imagine many may ask, "How does this apply?" The answer is simple. Who can declare the works of the Lord Majestic Power, and Glory?

Psalm 73:28 (King James Version) But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works.

"WHO CAN BEHOLD HIS BRILLIANCE? JOHN DID."

Revelation 21:11 (New International Version) It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.

"WHO CAN DECLARE AN OPEN HEAVEN?"

Ezekiel 1:1-3 (Amplified Bible) NOW [when I was] in [my] thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was in the midst of captivity beside the river Chebar [in Babylonia ], the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.

"WHO CAN SEE PORTALS AND ANGELIC REPRESENTATIVES OF HEAVEN?"

Genesis 28:12 (King James Version) And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

"WHO CAN ASCEND TO THE OPEN DOOR UPON HEARING, "COME UP HERE?"

Revelation 4:1 (Amplified Bible) AFTER THIS I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice which I had heard addressing me like [the calling of] a war trumpet said, Come up here, and I will show you what must take place in the future.

"WHO THEN IS ABLE TO OPEN UP THOSE SHACKLES OF IRON? HOW CAN THIS BE ACCOMPLISHED?"

As I was carrying this word in me, I knew it would take considerable wisdom to handle this, for offenses are so great. That is a key to the worlds political arena of winning.

It is the offences of man (Who is really offended you to THEM) that keep people from these two things:

l. Advancing in their own walk,

2. Advancing, HIS Magnificent Kingdom

We see into the political arena, that it is all about who appears to be best qualified, and who can "out do" everyone else. Much of this becomes essential for a prime candidate to carry the office one desires to carry.

But how sure is the victory, and how much will the people believe when the office is won with the wrong motives? Is the motive jealousy? Is it a noble motive? Is it a true calling, ignited with passion? To be at the top can be a noble desire, but is it essential to climb to the top?

"THIS POLITICAL YEAR CAN AND WILL OFTEN RESULT IN MANY CHRISTIANS AND MINISTRIES CONTENDING"

...with other ministries as to whom is the greatest or the most important. The horn is blowing because an enemy has invaded the camp. DON"T get fooled by the politics of the day. Remember we all can fall prey to this. The great warning is NOT to let ourselves become consumed with what others are doing.

It is GOD who calls us all to swing the Sword of the Spirit. It is far better to be in UNITY than separated. Through unity we can break those shackles together. All can advance the kingdom, all can carry their load, and all can achieve the dreams God has for them.

The key is to return to our first Love and establish that He is Lord. Then corporately we can choose the Love of GOD over the love of self. This will enable us to see the Greater Glory that is up ahead.

REMEMBER THIS:

"Little is much with GOD in it."

Luke16:10a (New International Version) Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much...

"Who is the least will be the greatest."

Luke 9:48b ...for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

"Better is one day in His courts that 1000 elsewhere."

Psalm 84:10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

"Who then can declare the works of GOD? We all can! Let's take back the world by faith, together!"

"ARE YOU READY FOR THE RIDE?"

"A VISION OF A MAN IN A RACE CAR... HE'S READY TO GO!"

Since the start of this year, a vision keeps coming back to me. I keep seeing a vision of a man sitting inside a race car, wearing a helmet and racing outfit, as He waits at the starting line of a race track.

I can clearly hear the sound of His car engine running, shifting into higher gear as the Driver is ready to start the race. I believe this vision has spiritual significance for the time we are in.

As I have continued to watch and listen to what God impressed upon me, below is the message I received. I pray it will bring encouragement to you as it has to me.

The Driver is the Holy Spirit, and as He set to go at the starting line, this represents the coming move of God. Our Heavenly Father has shifted to a higher gear, and He is inviting His people to join Him in this ride. This move will be both exhilarating and intimidating.

To those who totally trust God and His leading--this ride will be the greatest joyride of your lifetime. God is telling us, "It's time to move forward."

THE QUESTION IS: "ARE YOU READY FOR THE RIDE? DO YOU HAVE TOTAL CONFIDENCE IN THE SKILL OF THE DRIVER?"

"WHAT MAKES US QUALIFIED TO RIDE WITH GOD?"

God is looking for people whose hearts and motives are pure and who do not hide their weaknesses from God. These are people who, when convicted of their shortcomings, are quick to let God deal with their hearts in complete surrender to Him.

Just like when God chose David, He said to Samuel, "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7).

Therefore our present success will not be His basis for choosing us; it will be the condition of our hearts which will matter to Him. David failed greatly when he committed adultery with Bathsheba and plotted the death of Uriah (2 Samuel 11).

Yet despite David's shortcomings, God continued to use him greatly, and he was fondly remembered as "a man after God's own heart."

"GREAT NEWS FOR GOD'S CHILDREN"

Presently there is a big group of God's children who, in the past, experienced the mighty moving of God in your life and ministry. But due to various circumstances, some of you had to give up works or ministry, and may now find yourself seemingly bereft of any success.

Despite the difficulties you had to face, the sacrifices you had to endure, the seemingly barrenness of your life right now, quietly, you continue to worship and honor God as best you know how.

Yet you cannot deny there is a greater longing in your heart to do more for God's people, to do more for His Kingdom, and to implement all the ideas and plans God has planted inside of you to do. The dreams and visions God placed in the innermost parts of your heart for so long seem to be unattainable.

BUT THERE IS GREAT NEWS:

God had you in His mind! If you can identify with this group, the great news is that God had you specifically in mind and will call you to be on the forefront when His Holy Spirit makes the move. As you have been faithful to God, holding nothing back in the process, laying down everything at His feet, it's now His time to respond.

He has not forgotten His promises and His calling for you and your family, and you will see Him opening doors and opportunities which you thought were closed or lost.

"LUKE 1 CONNECTIONS"

We are coming into a time of connection just like Zechariah and Elizabeth, and Joseph and Mary were intertwined with each other (read Luke 1).

These were two different couples at various age levels, facing different challenges, yet both families' lives were intertwined with each other and linked by God for each other's comfort, confirmation, and for a common cause. So will it be in the coming days.

God will use the wisdom, skill and experience of those from the older generations, and He will link them with the new ideas and innovative ways of the younger generations. The experience and expertise of each will "complement," not compete, and they will blend perfectly to fulfill God's Kingdom for the nations.

What Peter had spoken to the crowd about during Pentecost will once more be manifested in our midst. This is both to the older and younger generations:

"This is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 'In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on all people, your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on My servants, both men and women, I will pour out My Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy'" (Acts 2:16-18).

"PROPHETIC INSIGHT AS THE DRIVER MOVES"

AS IN THE DAYS OF JESUS' DISCIPLES:

• The people of God will ride this wave and will once more impact the community where they have been planted by God.

• Holistic endeavors connected with education, skills training, community development, poverty alleviation, indigenous inventions, environmental protection and many other projects that the community will need, will once again be spearheaded and pioneered by God's children who will have an important role in these projects.

• God is releasing a marketplace anointing where your skills, talents, hobbies and spiritual gifting will be used extensively by God to impact the people that you are and will be working with in the coming days.

• Ministry, business and job opportunity, which you had given up .. and thought had been lost, will once more be brought back into your path by God Himself. He will network you with people whom He has chosen to work beside you for these projects.

• Just like in Jesus' time, God's work will start off "small," and may not seem significant in the beginning. But as you continue to press in and faithfully do what has been assigned to you, the impact and effect of these works will catch the attention of the secular world.

• You will experience our God going before you and preparing the way. You will hear Him clearly guiding you as He says, "This is the way, walk in it."

"OUR PRAYER"

Our Father, we thank You for quickening our hearts once more with this message. We await this day with great expectation. Come Holy Spirit, even today, prepare us for the work that You have chosen for each one of us to do.

Just like David cried out to You with these words: "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting" (Psalm 139:23-24), so we cry out to You in the same manner today.

As a watchman waits for the dawn, so we also wait and long for You. Move as You have in the days of old. Summon Your power, and show us Your strength as You have done before.

Be exalted once more in the midst of the nations. Raise up the standard of Your people. Pour out Your favor upon us so that people around us will know that Your Presence is with us, and they will be able to distinguish Your children from the people of the world.

Thank You for revealing Your plans and Your heart to us for the coming days. We wait for them with great expectation and with thanksgiving in our hearts.

Unto You and You alone, be all glory and power and might for all that You have done, are doing and will do in our lives. In Jesus Christ's name, we say, "Amen!"
