back from wiz la...had a blast with the homies...drank waay too much...met some cool fans...did some drawings...woot...

first off let me say thank you to all of you have come in support of my latest project. thanks! now to be me. so. im bored and in a funky mood...why? i dunno...just am...i hate feeling like this...poor me...i know...i kinda wanna dance...like a angel...a disco angel...with velveteen footwear...i wish i had a gameshow...id love to say that i give away cash prizes...i wish hugh grant was my friend...i kinda need to get my lazy ass in shape...i dunno...who likes commercials? did the colts really win the superbowl? if i did in fact have velveteen shoes...would i be dancing right now? i wish i was cooking something...i wish my name was spencer...spencer mahogonay...irish...

so i thought id go into my new girl here...kara...that is...i know that there are a lot of fans out there who hold this character very near and dear to thier hearts...i just wanna go on and say i am one of you! honestly, ive been pestering eddie b to work on this book since even before i heaard it was gonna happen, lol... so here i am, 15 issues into the series and number 16 and so on are all mine...insert devilish grin... thought id share some doodles from my sketchbook...for all of you out there worried about me sex kittenin her up...i just want you to know that thats not really the way i view this character...i see her more as a no nosense teen just trying to find her place in the world...i def will play up the whole fashion aspect to its full potential...from studding up her belt, to sassing up her hair...i figure its one of my strentghs...knowledge of whats what and all...was reading on the message boards over at dc that someone compared this title to spider man loves mary jane...and how that book represents the female teen better...just so you know s.m.l.m.j. is my absolute favorite book! trust me i get tons of crap about it at the studio...i hope to infuse as much character and emotion into kara as ol takeshi has with mj...im excited to be working with the writers, and its a thrill to be drawing her origin...like i said...big fan...nice to have inside info...:)...so here are some doodles...hope ya digs...and dont plan on getting rid of me anytime soon...werd...

so im sitting here...in my childhood home...remembering when things were simpler...wishing i could recapture that time just for a second...no bills...no sadness...no worries...only innocence...thinking about the friends i had...the ones i still do...the ones ive lost...the things ive accomplished...how in the grand scheme of things...it really means nothing...the other people whove come from this small place...wondering what theyve done...how no matter what... it always seems like i finish third...a perpetual white ribbon holder...how things grow...and change...and how no matter how much we think we affect others...we really dont...getting recognized...trying not to be...crying outside...smiling on the inside...my new shoes kick ass...hoping for the best...expecting the worst...dreaming about possibilities of things that most likely will never happen...accepting that no one needs me...accepting that i dont need anyone...wishing i had more blankets...trying to make sense of it all...kisses...
