Been a longtime coming. There will be more blood, sweat and tears to be

I’ve had several major set backs during February and March with April
spent trying to catch up and try to breath for air. I’m alive, but
still feel like I’ve been dragged down a dirt road repeatedly. I will
be posting my latest work process from an illustration I did for
National Geographic soon as well.

All I can say is it's about damn time.... But does it let me add photos in a blogpost?

So I haven't posted up here in awhile, but that doesn't mean I haven't been blogging.   My site WP Blog at LIQUIDMETHOD has been very easy to post up there.  MySpace is still behind the times and I don't know if they will ever catch up.  That said, here's some the of the stuff I've been working on.  The small one of a nude figure model with the large hand is my first attempt at drawing on the iPhone with a new app called "Brushes".  So far it's interesting and the best drawing program for the phone yet.  I hope to post more in the future.  Outside of art, I've been working on other stuff in general, today for example, I spent the day figuring out how to encode video for Flash WITHOUT having a nasty MucroShit WMV watermark on the video.  They never want to share.  Oh well, nuff said about that.  I've been reading my book, "Bangkok Haunts" and it's been an awesome read.  If you get the chance I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the book and the others that proceed it.  Well, it's late.  Going to hit the sack.

Liquidmethod

Another color study painting. I'm really trying to improve upon my colors and right now, I find acrylics to be a quick studying medium. Here's another small painting I've done before starting back up on the massive landscape that I call my "Rosebud". Hint to all of you Orson Welles film buffs. This will probably go on auction to eBay in the next couple of days. If you are interested, send me an email with a price in mind and I'll consider it.

Illustration project I’m working on for an entertainment lawyer. It’s been a fun project so far.

I truly tried to get in the mood for drawing. But it wasn't happened. What you see here is a disaster. I'm not sure what it was, maybe it was the weather, but I couldn't get out of my foul mood enough to get anything down worth of value. It also didn't help that two of the artists were bickering about the lighting. Especially when one of them wasn't even drawing anything that resembled Mountain Man. The last sketch was done by Sean, I let him take over the Wacom in disgust of my own frustration.

As an artist who draws women, I couldn't pass one posting about Bettie's passing. After reading more about her, I became fascinated about how she stood fast in spite of all the harassment from the FBI. America secretly adored her, but in the 50's the public let the pin up queen face scrutiny for her sexuality. She proved that women can be sexy and still be individuals. Bettie was independent and yet like all of us, had her own imperfections. Marilyn Monroe may have been America's sweetheart, but Bettie put a spot light on the Nation's lust and secret sexual desires that were repressed from years of political conservatism. If I wasn't so swamped with work, I'd take some time out to make a quick sketch of Bettie.

Well, I finally pulled the trigger and let it loose online! My short pulp graphic novel, "Cadillac Girl" is available as a free download on my site and now, iTunes. Yes, I said iTunes! To my knowledge, no one, not even the big publishers have even thought to publish their graphic novels and comicbooks online as "podcast PDF". It's something that I knew would be cool to have as a great way for people to stay up to date with the future short graphic novels I'm going to be working on. I hope that this outlet and my first release, "Cadillac Girl" becomes a catalyst for making new fans of my work. I'd like to thank everyone for their input, feedback and encouragement. I really hope you enjoy the story and consider it worthy of passing it on to your friends.

"Cadillac Girl" is a pulp fiction graphic novel written and illustrated by Liquidmethod. A film noir style plot that has seduction, deceit and murder.
