Current mood:  blissful
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers
Hello people! Gosh, I haven't blogged here much lately! I just wanted to pop in and say Merry Xmas Eve to all! And to those not on the Christmas bandwagon - HAPPY HAPPY WEDNESDAY!! It may be 'just a slow Wednesday' like that chick in Eddie Macon's Run keeps saying, but, at least you're off work! Well, I hope you are anyway!!!

Also - I wanted to let ya'll know about a blog post by a friend of mine that I would love you to check out and weigh in on if you have an opinion or any questions. My friend's name is Lynn Terry and she has been successfully working at home for 10+ years and she is AWESOME at helping others do the same! This year, she is looking to become even more helpful in that regard and so she is trying to get a conversation going here about just that!

You can check out her profile here: Lynn Terry

And here is the blog post: Starting an Online Business / Working From Home - Got Questions??

Guess MySpace is not letting us input html anymore, huh? Weirdness....

EDIT: Ok, we can do some coding. But, it's not being very cooperative or agreeable. Hmm... Not really in the mood for this. I'm going to post a bulletin if you want hotlinks. If it works there. ugh

ANOTHER EDIT: Took off my stupid hat and remembered how to do this MySpace blog coding! Ha!

I'm completely heartbroken. That magical wonder beverage that has gotten me through many a 'hard-to-wake-up' morning and through many a 'crunch-time' work period - has seemed to turn completely against me. That's right - against me.

It's true.

Coffee turns my stomach.Whatever shall I do without my beloved coffee, people?

This is so hard! So hard. I've been working my way off of it, slowly. I'm down to three cups a day. Which is downright AMAZING!

Yes, I'm a 'two pots a day' girl. Love me some coffee. I sure do.

Sunday, though, I totally caved. Sunday afternoon, that is. See - I'd spent the ENTIRE day on Saturday shuffling back and forth between home and the local university's band day. And I am telling you - the walking?! OMG! We did so much walking around that campus - and that's nothing compared to the stairs at the stadium!

Up the stairs. Down the stairs. Up the stairs. Down the stairs. Ad nauseum......

So on Sunday I was exhausted - but, come Sunday afternoon, I still had more work to do. So I totally and completely caved and made that second pot of coffee.

As I wasn't used to the second pot - it kept me up half the night, tossing and turning. And then yesterday - I was blessed with a sour stomach. Ugh.

Dudes - this is nothing. Nothing. It's just coffee. Come on - I quit smoking. Cigarettes are rumored to be as hard to get off of as heroin!!! I quit drinking - for God's sake! It's just bloody coffee!

BUT. IT'S. HARD.

Hard, I tell you.I WANT MY COFFEE!! *hands on hips, stomping feet*

I met Rick Butts a few months ago and in the time since I've known him, I've not only been energized by him - I've learned a LOT from him! His latest product is a membership to the Twitter Squeeze! There is a ton of really cool people in there and some awesome videos from Rick in there! I've got a migraine right now so any description that I might try to give would be seriously lacking! For real! Just go read the sales page, where Rick explains it all - Twitter SqueezeLet me tell you, Rick's energy is AWESOME! You will love hanging out with him! I know I do!
Yes, you can make money on Twitter!

Millennium Force while in line

I miss home today.  Sheesh - I used to actually have a category called 'I miss Dallas' on my other blog!  Ha!  Even though it is really nice out here and there are tons of good things about being out here, I still sometimes get that 'No-stop-I-didn't-mean-it' feeling.  You know the one - the one when you've just gotten on the roller coaster and the man has just put the seatbelt bar down and the cars are starting to move....

I thought that maybe after some time that feeling would go away and when I missed home, I would just miss home.  But that feeling WON'T GO THE FUCK AWAY and it drives me absolutely crazy sometimes!

I've gotten pretty used to it, so a lot of times when it comes - I just go, 'oh, there's that 'LET ME OFF!' feeling...hope it doesn't stick around too long'.  But other times it is almost PHYSICALLY painful in my gut.

I wonder if it's because I never really left home and so I'm gonna be the type to pretty much always have that feeling.  Or maybe everyone who 'leaves their hometown' CONTINUES - FOR YEARS - to have that feeling.

Whatever the fuck it is - I'm ready for it to vacate the premises. VACATE, I TELL YOU!

OUT!  OUT DAMN SPOT!

Every blog could use a little Shakespeare reference, don't you think?  That would be kinda funny - if someone did blog like that - they threw in a Shakespeare quote in every. single. post.  No matter the topic.  LOL  I'd attempt it - but, the stick-to-it-iveness gene was not handed down to me.  Nope.  Not at all.

But it would be kinda like those children's books that every page has a little bug on it, and you have to find it, hiding under a leaf, or behind a book - you know?

One of ya'll do that - it'll be great!

"Damn, Lisa!" I can hear you saying, "That's a GREAT idea!  Think I'll start  doing that today!"

Hahaha!

Ok, so if anyone can stick Dallas in a bottle and send it to me - that'd be great - thanks!
