I just couldn't get this figured out!!!!
I wanted to post a product picture from a certain website, so instead of copying the link directly, I saved the picture onto the desktop of my home pc and then tried to upload it onto my blog. But the problem is : no matter how many times I do it, it just didn't work out!!!! Even if I can upload the picture and view it on my blog using my home pc, I can't see the pictures when I'm using my office pc. Why is this so????? Did I do something wrongly or is it MySpace's problem????
Also, I'm thinking whether to switch to typepad or livejournal etc since comments can only be left by members on MySpace. I love the idea of leaving comments freely without the chore of signing on as a member to any site. Would appreciate your kind suggestions.
(Liza, if you are reading this, thanks again for all the help. I appreciate you answering all my questions without fail. :D)

Current mood: exhausted
My mum & I went for a firefly trip in Pengarang (Malaysia) in late September which was organised by my best friend, Cindy's church. It was a really long day!
Left home early in the morning to meet up with other group members and was on our way to the custom at 9.30am. By 10.30am, we arrived in Perline Town for some local breakfast. I had some dry dumpling noodles but still prefer Singapore's version of it. Then we were back in the coach playing games and watching movies while travelling to the fruit orchard in Pengarang. Of course, in between there's the "sumptious" seafood lunch with baby lobster as promised, but frankly speaking, it's such a disappointment.
It was drizzling when we reached Desaru Fruit Orchard around 2plus in the afternoon. But luckily the rain went away much sooner than expected and the orchard tour guide was able to bring us around.

My mum was pretty excited when she saw the dragon fruit plant and the long long bunch of tiny bananas. She insisted in taking photos of them so I happily snapped a few.

Did you see a chubby me in the photo? Hehe....I managed to put on some weight and is now having some problems getting rid of the fats. The lady in pink is one of my best friend, Cindy.
Other than fruits and vegetables, we also saw ostrich, bunnies, roosters, goats, etc. Also visited the bee showroom and brought back some yummy honey. We spent quite a fair bit of time at the orchard and in the end had to cut down shopping time at the Kota Tinggi Shopping Mall from 2 to 1 hour. But luckily, there's nothing much at the mall (another disappointment) so 1 hour was more than enough. We then proceeded to have dinner at a local restaurant (food is good this round) before seeing the fireflies.

We had to put on life jackets before boarding the boat which can carry about 50 people. It was a very windy night but everyone was quite excited to see the fireflies. It was my first time seeing these tiny creatures and seeing them flicker mades me think of the lightings on a christmas tree! Seeing them flying around is fun too though only a couple did that. The whole boat excursion lasted about 20 to 30 minutes if I didn't remember wrongly.
That's all??? No photos of fireflies??? Not even one??? I'm sorry to say that yes, there's not a single photo. It's simply too dark to snap one with a digital camera. Everyone that I know in the group wasn't able to get hold of a photo too.
By the time we reached Singapore, it was 11plus at night and my mum & I reached home after midnight. But it was a long & happy day with great memories and of course, yummy goodies!

No, not me. I got it a couple of years ago from my colleague. This round it's my immediate superior (the accountant) who is 7 months pregnant. My my goodness!!! Luckily the doctor said the baby should be fine since it's not the beginning or near the end of the pregnancy. She's quite okay till now, hope she recovers fast!!
Month end closing of accounts is half way through now but with the absence of my superior, I'll be super busy at least till the end of the week. Let's hope I can keep calm and cool at work till she's back from her medical leave. Not that I want to vent my frustrations at anyone but with loads of work and a sick body, how good can one feel?? Anyway, wish me luck!!!

Current mood: happy
Did I ever mention that I loveeeeeeeee magazines? Yes, I do and it's getting more and more difficult to control my buying urge. Here's some of my latest treasures :

These are from Molly of MommyCoddle through a magazine swap that we joined sometime earlier. There are Martha Stewart Living, Domino and Blueprint. All are such wonderful reads! Molly also included some extra goodies - yummy Choxie dark chocolate mints and a notebook that can be carried around easily. Thank you, Molly!

Sometimes I just don't dare to step into Kinokuniya, a japanese bookstore in town, as I normally won't leave empty handed. This time round, I bought 2 magazines - Cotton Time and Real Simple. This latest issue of japanese craft mag is as interesting as before, I feel really happy just by looking at the pictures. Real Simple is something new to me but looks like a great one especially there's the topic of creating more space, which is something that I really need. The Glico Cheese and Fruits Pretz were given to me by my friend. Super yummy!!!!!

Flea markets and thrift stores are not really that common in Singapore. It's a pity, isn't it? I always envy those craft bloggers who can always go to as many flea markets as they want to and whenever they want. So I got all excited when I heard about the Lime Flea Market and MAAD Sunday Market! But it was such a disappointment!!! Firstly, the Lime Flea Market was so small and crampy (there's actually a very big empty space just around them). Together with the heat from the weather, it's so difficult to shop. Other than some stalls selling handmade bags, accessories and T-shirts, the rest are practically clearing the junk from their home. There's no beautiful old sweaters, fabric, buttons or old containers/cup, etc. Am I expecting too much??? I guess so, it nearly slips my mind this is Singapore and not Australia or US or UK.

Then there's the MAAD Sunday Market where diy crafters can display and sell their products. The red museum building does look attractive but I didn't expect so few stalls to be in there. Many youngsters are selling their artwork, handmade accessories but there's one stall whose owner's attitude really needs some educating. This lady is selling some handmade bags which my friends and I are quite interested in. We tried to check out the prices but the lady answered us with the kind of "you are just asking but won't be buying right?" type of look on her face. I don't even see a single smile! What's this???? Anyway, we were out of the building within half an hour. Just as what my friend said - the whole thing is an anti-climax!!!
As for thrift stores, the only one that I have ever been to belongs to Salvation Army. I visited the one at Changi Village but it's a real big mess and things are soooooo dirty that my hands feel so itchy after going through the things there. It's really no fun at all. Can someone tell me are all thrift stores overseas that boring and dirty?
I need something to cheer myself up.

Ever since I found out about blogs, I have seen so many crafters talking about swaps. I always envy those who sends and receives such great goodies from local or overseas. So what did I do other than admiring? I ask for one!!!! ;D My first swap was with Bertha, you can look at what we sent each other over on her blog. Till now, I'm still swapping happily and totally addicted to it. The only problems are cost (especially postage) and lost packages. :( Is anyone out there having the same headache??? And I did receive some disappointing packages though I would rather not talk about it.
Another great discovery through blogs is Etsy!!! So many things to drool, to spend money on........the wonderful world of crafting! I hope that someday I will be able to start an Etsy shop to sell whatever I'm capable of crafting and to share with people who loves handmade items as much as I do. ^o^
(ps: please bear with me if you find any language errors in my entries, I'm definitely better in mandarin than english. Thanks!)
