I have a few incredibly random shots of stuff. Let's start off with a cut though: "I LOVE BEARS!!"
So, we went to an antique store on Lower Greenville on valentines day just for kicks. They had velvet paintings of Jet Li, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Bob Marley, and a few others. I forget. I found a specimen jar for one of my sculptures (more on that later), and then we found THIS AMAZING WALL PIECE!! It's a pair of freaking zebras made with woven basket fabric. I made K smell it for the picture, seeing as how this thing HAD to have been musty. But it wasn't! It smelled like a basket, haha!
Oh, Mel was just in flight. Don't mind him. He often flies down the hallway leading to our door.
Oh man! The sky was *angry* a few weeks ago! I completely forgot about this! In any event, I took a few pictures of it.
 And another of the sky.
There was this awful truck on the tollway about 2 weeks ago. It was basically the cab of an 18 wheeler, and the bed of a regular pickup truck. >=[ I had seen another of these years ago with a huge "XTC" logo on the back window, but I have yet to find anything on it. My dad's seen one where they live. I must know what this ridiculousness is.
And here's the crown jewel! We came across this car in the parking lot of a Fry's Electronics store. Of course, I had to stop and take pictures. K was kind enough to give me a fantastic pose.

Are you folks ready for a browser-crashing experience??? GOOD! Then ch-ch-check it out!
We'll start with the first clay project:
...It seems that I didn't upload one of the pictures for the first project, which is pretty lame. So check back for the edit and there'll be another picture up. Anyways, here's the other shots of The Hag and her Pet.

Here's a close look at her earrings! Hah!
And her backside. Look! I furred The Pet's tail. By the way, if you can think of a better name for them, please suggest one! I'm terrible at names! D:
And here's a closer look at The Pet. His eyes are...spechul. Haha!
Next, we'll look at Onus.
Mel's kind of impartial to him. He'll lick it's nose though. I guess he'll do this when I'm not looking. The really cool part about Onus is that his face has a shimmer to it. Yay!
 Here's his leather collar. =3
 Such a handsome chap!
Now we'll look at the two creatures, since they were meant to go together (as one project, that is). They are basically different types of Onus "vehicles". The one on coral is meant for underwater travel on water-covered planets, and he carries the city with his hands while moving, and just places it down otherwise. The green one is meant for swampy and/or hot planets. I don't have individual names for all of the different Onus "vehicles" either. =[ Oh, I guess I should clarify that big Onus is meant for moderate to cold weather planets. Hooves means he can stomp through semi-rocky to really grassy lands. So think Alaska-type places.
Check him out! He's the size of a toy dinosaur, which actually makes him neat. It's good to know that I can make action figures, hah!

And here's his butt. His paint job consists of copper, forest-y green, and metallic pearl. I should have taken a picture of his belly, which is all copper.
This guy is basically unfinished. He needs some paint and maybe a few more features. I think I'll take him back off the coral and do so sometime soon.
This shot right here makes me wish he didn't have any bubbles. I really like the color of the clay. It's super sculpey III mixed with a weird brown. Oh yes, he does have 4 eyes. :D
Would you believe me if I told you that I finished this guy in about 2 hours? On the day of my critiques at that? *snerk* I'm so bad...
Last but not absolutely least is The Couple. They are the alien race that humans run into that can genetically engineer the Onus creatures. The female is holding a fresh-out-of-the-tube furry onus, minus the fur. Can you see his snotty nose? Haha! That actually creeped people out! *glee*

So, she looks upset because she's not happy with how they engineer these little guys. There's no love involved. The male, however, is pretty pleased with himself. I was going to have him with a hand on his hip, but the clothing prohibited that. That's air-dry clay, made by La Doll. Not too sure I like that stuff.
You can tell that they didn't get much love when I was working on them. I was so tired of working on stuff by this point that I just slapped those clothes on them. It's so messy. I should take a picture of the back, because the female's outfit is kinda neat back there.
Ok! That's it! I'm off to do some laundry (our dryer broke! UGH!!) and keep drawing a creature-a-day.

Guess what? I had yet another wreck. Just one week after getting my car back. First, the story of what happened, and then the pictures. I was on my way to school on highway 30 (a long, straight-shot from Dallas to Ft. Worth), doing my usual routine of driving and rocking out some great music. There's one car in front of me, and a few in the neighboring lanes, and a pickup truck behind me. All of a sudden, the car in front of me cuts across the 2 neighboring lanes of traffic like a mad person. I look up, and there's a huge piece of plywood covering my entire lane. This piece of wood was seriously warped, and bowed up to about the height of my bumper. Keep in mind that I was in the fast lane, or the far left lane, with no shoulder. After initially panicking over the guy swerving in traffic like that, and then panicking over the wood in my way, I too swerved to the right. Apparently at this point, my back tire hit the wood anyways, exploded, and I lost control. All I know is that I spun almost a full circle before I slammed into the median wall. I closed my eyes right before impact, which is probably a good thing, seeing as how I had sunglasses on. Anyways, I hit the wall on the front passenger side, and the rest of my car slammed into the wall, and I slid along the wall for a couple of yards. The Dallas sheriff that came said that had I hit the wood head on, the wreck would have possibly been worse. I was fucked either way, because the car in front of me decided to wait until the very last moment to move away from the piece of wood, instead of SWITCHING FUCKING LANES BEFORE ANY OF US GOT CLOSE! I couldn't see the wood, so I had no chance in hell to avoid this wreck. Interestingly enough, my back passenger tire, after hitting the wall, launched at the guy behind me. He was in a big Ford 4x4, so if you've seen one, you know how big they are. My tire went over his truck. He said that it just barely missed him too. No one else was involved, and it was determined a "no fault" wreck. The car is probably totaled. I am now officially in pain. I felt fine earlier, aside from a massive headache, but now I'm hurting all over. It's been a feat keeping myself calm for the rest of the day. This happened at 10 this morning, and I've been having really intense flashbacks that have almost brought me to tears each time. I did cry all the way home after that happened, and I didn't get home till 1. On to the pictures.

 Brand new bumper too. =[

This is the tire that was hit by the wood. Initially after the wreck, you couldn't see the tire at all. It was shoved up and back inside the wheel well.
This is the tire that launched towards the truck behind me. I guess it was technically in front of me, since I was turned around at the time.
I guess the tow-truck guy was kind enough to shove the tire back in to place. Haha!
So there you have it. I am seriously shaken right now. In fact, I'm still trying to come back down from the adrenaline. Send good vibes my way, eh? I'm hoping I don't wake up unable to move. =[

Would you like to have a look at Onus? Ok then.
Here he is! I actually measured him, and he's 40" tall, and 60" long. Yay! I decided to not go with a tail, mostly because the clay in that area is pretty dry, so it'd be mostly dangerous to do so.
Here's another shot of the side...

He'll be covered in white fur. On his belly will be white fur that has sandy colored tips to give the impression that he's been working and walking through dirt and dust. His face will remain open however. I'm thinking about going with either a deep ashen grey, or an almost bronze (not metallic though) sandy color. I'm excited! Let's hope that he makes it through the firing. D:
There's still some things I've got to fix, such as the eyelids and positioning of the pupils (he looks a little cockeyed to me). His nostrils are also a little wonky, but that's ok.
Oh! I should also state that he'll have a metal headdress. I'm sawing at some sheets of copper now in my spare time and making little shingles that I'll connect with some brass rings. He may have a saddle that will hold the city that will be on his back. I've been debating putting the city inside a glass jar (a bell jar, to be specific), and making the floor of the city the saddle. We'll see...

And it's a damn good thing I love lemonade. Even though it hurts my mouth with all it's acid-ness. Wanna know why life likes lemons? Then go ahead and check out these pictures!!

Who's car is that? It's MY car! And I t-boned a guy today!! Ok, so if you've been to our apartment, you've been on a lovely little street called Tulane. Back towards Coit Rd., there's a TON OF FUCKING TREES, and this guy was stopped at the intersection right there behind the trees. He couldn't see me, but I sure as hell saw him when I nailed the side of his truck. It was dead center as well. He had one of those Chevy Blazer suv's, and it barely took any damage. It scared the hell out of me, because his truck damn near rolled into a house at the corner of the street. In fact, I'll show you exactly where this happened, courtesy of google maps: See the arrow? That's where my car was, with the bumper up underneath it. The little car doodle is where the guy almost rolled, but he came to a stop a little further down the road. I felt so bad for him, because he was so shaken. This was his first wreck, and it sucks that it's his fault. But believe me, I was absolutely, insanely pissed when it first happened. But then I took a moment, and told myself that I should calm down, and try to figure out what the hell happened. I'm still not mad at him. That is a really blind corner. The neighborhoods out here are more interested in scenery more than safety. Well anyways, that pretty much set me WAY WAY WAAAAY back on my sculpture, because it was in the car with me when this happened. I was damn near complete, and it took a head-first into the glove box. The second figure was actually lodged up and under the glovebox (like, waaay down by the feet area) and I couldn't find him for the longest. I'm off to pass out now. I'm insanely tired now. My adrenaline rush finally went away, so I'm crashing hard. I must say though, I was really really scared. Had I not thought at the moment I saw the front of his trucker that I need to hit my brakes hard and brace myself, then I wouldn't be here typing this for you guys now. =[

I didn't forget about you myspace. Ok, I did. I'll be honest. But yeah, here's the post from lj containing some of my art from this semester. If you want a (possibly) more detailed description of something, then you need to look at my deviantart account and read the descriptions on the pictures there. I took more time to describe things in there versus my descriptions on lj. Anyways, have fun and give me feedback! So here part one goes folks! This will definitely be in parts, because there's quite a bit to share. =3 Excuse the watermarks please. Gotta protect myself somehow, right?
Let's start out with the graphic novel!

The image links to the pdf of the novel, so go ahead and take a look. It's pretty short, since all that was required was 10 pages plus the explanation and title/ending pages. Most folks in class told me that I should go ahead and finish it up and make it a full story. I may do that some day.
Now for the painting!

Oh gosh, this took me such a long time to complete. And you folks wonder why I was non-existent online. I just had no time. D: But yeah, this is a self portrait (obviously) painted on a self-made 4'x4' canvas.
Here's Nabil for reference. This guy is so much fun. <3 He was always laying on the floor, just because. And check out those muscles!! Rawr!
And now for a series of 6. This may get a bit large so I apologize now.
Oh yeah! This series was printed as 36" x 42" posters, and they looked SO FAB on the wall! I still have them too, but no room to hang them. =[
One of my favorites in this series, because he's just such a strange character.

I have no idea what was going through my head when I drew this character. O_o
Monchii! I love how this one came out sooo much!

This one should be familiar to some of you. I cheated and used a picture I've already drawn for this project. LoL! I just didn't feel like pulling another drawing out of my arse, so this worked fine. He was the class's favorite, so I think this was a good decision.
Ok, so I still have to take pictures of some of the other stuff. I'll get around to it some day. Haha!

I just got fucking rear-ended out here in Plano. Oh, it doesn't stop there. Oh no. The bitch fucking ran!
She was so stupid about it too. First, she jumped into the opening lane to the left of us, and sped up to pass me. WRONG! Thank YOU for giving me the opportunity to grab your plates and get a good look at your car. And I STILL have the license plates in my head. I'm pretty sure they'll be there for a while.
She picks up speed (the speed limit jumps to 55 here, so I'd imagine we were doing around 60-65mph) thinking she can outrun me. Pfftftftf! Oh no honey, not in that mid-90's cheapmobile. Hah! Give me a fucking break! I KNOW she saw the V6 on the bumper she just hit. That's not a number for kicks, you know. But she got lucky, because cars all around us were slowing down. So she cut off another car to the right of us, leaving me unable to follow, and then turned off down some random parking lot.
Fucking chump. :| And it wouldn't have been that big a deal. She must not have had a license or insurance. It's the only reason why I would imagine that someone would run like that. But NOW, she'll not only have to PAY for whatever damage was done to my car, she'll get charged with a hit-and-run.
Have fun with that, alright chic?
Fucking Plano drivers.
Fortunately for me, a guy pulled over to talk to the cop and confirmed and added to the story. He saw what happened from behind, so that should really put the nail in the coffin for her.
This is why not everyone needs a gotdamned license. Just because you know what a gas and brake pedal is doesn't mean you're qualified to fucking drive.
< /rage>
I do apologize for all of the profanity, but I'm sure you guys will understand.

Click to see a larger image! Well, she's a Munny! You remember a while back when I had submitted a wip of this and another project? Well, I tore all the clay off of the munny (since it was brittle as all getout from sitting around) and re-sculpted her, adding a nose and a different style in horns. So, for all intended purposes, she is complete. However, I want to add a lot of curly hair, and clothes. I won't let her stay naked, nope nope. I'm thinking about making her a vest and some jeans. Or a skirt. I'm not sure. And I'm still undecided if I want to attach the wings or not, since that really isn't part of her design. But I got an itch to complete her, and I did so in a day. Haha! It helps to be inspired. =] Maaaterials: Super Sculpey III Watered down acrylics (about 20 layers of that wood-brown...god that was a biatch of a color to make) Kid Robot's Munny vinyl figure

1. I can not STAND when people question me about my hair. I don't care what it is you're asking..."oooh, is it soft?!" "can I touch it?!!?" "why don't you have straight hair? It would be so much better straight!"
So if you have a question, please don't be too upset if I just stare at you or act as if I didn't hear.
2. I have an uncanny ability to approach most dogs, be they fearful or not, and almost always I can calm them down. It's why I adopted my little terror now. =]
3. I have undiagnosed endometriosis. I choose to remain officially undiagnosed because a)I do NOT want to undergo surgery repeatedly to alleviate pain, and b)I've heard that insurance companies are less likely to accept you as a new customer, since they would fall under a patient with a "pre-existing condition."
Me and the doctor have discussed this thoroughly, and he's more than willing to work with me on that. Thank goodness!
4. Believe it or not, when anyone makes the "OH!! Why, YOU don't sound like a black girl at all!!!!!!!" and I'm smiling and laughing at them, it means that I'm smiling and laughing because I am trying my utmost not to kill you! :D And I'm serious. Please, don't make that comment around me anymore folks. I don't give a damn that I don't sound like someone of a different upbringing. And why does it matter anyways? That will be a rant for another day I suppose.
5. I spend way too much time on livejournal, mostly laughing at the atrocities posted on wtf_inc and too_much_info. I'm pretty jaded and desensitized. Unless it has to do with vomit. I can't handle it.
6. Speaking of vomit, I have an unreasonable fear of it. I get extremely anxious and panicky whenever someone tells me they're about to/feel like they're going to throw up. Here lately, I have been able to control that fear a bit more. But you better believe that I'm grinding the hell out of my teeth to try and keep myself from screaming and crying and running away like a small child.
7. Apparently every car that I drive is automatically tagged with a big arse target. People LOVE to try and hit me. It's amazing just how much I have to dodge mofos on the road. >=[
8. I can't cook to save my life. Well ok, I'm just not creative. I can cook straight off of a box, let me tell you. Other than that, my creativity lies in other areas.
9. I will be changing my major to sculpture starting next semester. I will also shoot for a graduate and masters at this fine art while working. I must be mad! :D
10. And the best for last!! I have a pretty strong dislike of religion. That is not to say that I'm an atheist, don't get me wrong. But everything about religion rubs me the absolute wrong way. I'll stand my ground on this though, no matter how much people push for me to go to "church" or call me a heathen (hah! my folks call me a heathen on a regular basis). Why do I dislike religion? Perhaps it's a combination of past experience with every religion I've encountered, and the fact that I find the huggy-faced cheesy-ness of it all pretty nauseating. All of the smiles "fo JAYSUS!" seem so forced and just......I'll stop here so as to bypass offending those who are religious. I'm not attacking you guys, I promise. But eh, it's an opinion. We all have the choice to agree or disagree.
Feel free to speak your mind on that though. I'm up for some fair debate. I won't bite you, I promise. ;D
Probably the wrong place to talk about though, considering that I'm in the bible belt. Speaking of, I'm thinking about making a "bible belt" for my sculpture class. Little bibles cast in bronze to be worn on a belt, so that you will LITERALLY be in the bible belt! :D
Now! I won't be tagging 10 people, because I'm more than sure that most of you won't do it anyways. Haha! But if you want to, please go for it and let me know so I can come and read and comment. =3
