Current mood:  groggy
I went to see Sick Of It All / Terror in London this week and during Terror I stage dived and unfortunately broke my arm. Great gig though...

Good news is I have loads of new stuff I haven't had time post so now I have a few weeks recovery time I'll be able to post all the photos!

I'm also going to be moving to a new blog that will sit within my marklatham.co.uk site - that will be in a week or so, looking forward to getting that sorted at last.

Remember kids stage diving is dangerous..... and f'kin very painfull!!

Biohazard are one of my favorite bands so the fact that they have reformed with the original line up for this tour AND I get to photograph them is pretty much a dream come true!!

The gig was awesome - its like they were never away! Playing the best tracks from the first 3 albums. Simply awesome. Unfortunately as I was taking photos I didn't get down and dirty in the mosh pit BUT I made up for it the next night at the London gig ;-) WOW!!

Romeo Must Die are mint - this was the first time Id even heard of them (Shame on me). There fronted by the old Stamping Ground singer and sound pretty similar to Stamping round - i.e. fucking brilliant!!

Did a quick shoot for the Strip guys, we ended up doing them in Lee's cellar.

Unfortunately I couldn't get hold of the lighting equipment I usually use but the band wanted some gloomy / dark photos anyway so I did a lot of photos with no flash and literally used the light from a bulb on the wall!

Soooo, Miss B insisted I get a shot of the band SOBER.. so I went the Sheffield show and managed to get one, and some live shots. The Sheffield corps small room was actually fun to shoot at for a change! Nice lights and I sat on the speakers right in front of everyone so I could get some good shots. I did have one heart stopping moment.... as I walked up to the side of the stage the power cut off, I though Id stood on something to cut the power off but luckily its wasn't me, just some dodgy lights, phew!!!

As soon as I had enough shots of the last band at the Brainwash fest on Saturday I shot down to to the Leeds Rios to catch up with the My Ruin guys, unfortunately I missed the gig but i didn't miss the fun backstage after. A fresh bottle of Jager from the freezer went down like a treat!!! It seems that I only get backstage drunken My Ruin photos and I cant remember taking half of them!!! It was nice to chat to the Speed Theory / Illuminatus guys, there in some of the shots... Top night and Top hangover...

A rare shot of me!!

Miss B and my Joanne

I had a super busy Friday, Saturday and Sunday! In between the 3 nights at the festival I had a shoot with Strip (photos up soon) and I was invited by My Ruin to hook up with them at their Leeds show - I ended up finishing late at the BrainWash festival and missed My Ruins set - I didn't miss the party after though ;-) More on that later.....

The BrainWash festival had all sorts of weird and wonderful bands playing on 2 stages, the Brudenell Club (A horrible venue for photography) and the Royal Park Cellars next door (Barely better for photography)

!Forward Russia were the best band of the weekend for me, the only band that seemed to get the crowd whipped into a frenzy - That Fucking Tank were different playing on the floor in front of stage with just a drummer and guitarist... anyway here the best of the weekends shots.

When I did the Underoath gig last month I didn't get a lot of good shots mainly down to the shooting conditions but my favorite shot of the night (Drummer shot) was used by Rock Sound for the review so im a happy bunny!

Why oh why wasn't the Rios filled last night??? I photographed HIMSA a few months back and A Life Once Lost were supporting, they were so good I bought their latest album the next day 'Iron Gag' and I've been hooked since, trust me - its a master piece.

Its a pity there was such a small crowd - but despite that and a whole host of technical problems they stormed through the set! f'kin 10/10!!

Headliners Walls Of Jericho are one of my favorite bands at the moment so I was really looking forward to the gig. Loads of other great bands on the bill, The Red Cord were awesome, I was stood literally a foot away from the guitarist and was in complete awe of his skills!! I also had pleasure of seeing WOJ from the side of the stage - a great experience, its great being able to get on stage with one of your favorite bands and see them play from a different perspective. GREAT NIGHT!!

Some seriously heavy bands on tonight, I don't know much about either of the bands and personally I thought support band Grave were the best! I tried some different stuff with my new D300 at this gig, im still getting to grips with it, I tried shooting without flash using the high ISO settings the D300 is capable of, practice makes perfect!

I thought I had more then the first 3 songs when Nile came on but got told to stop shooting early on in the gig, pity because the lights were starting to get good and I only had a handful of good shots! Ah well.
