Anyone hunting for collectibles or anything else in Prototype would do well to check this out.  Enables some slick Google Maps features for a fictional Manhattan.  You can click icons you choose to display on the map to get a screenshot of where exactly the item is in the world.  Helped me find the Hint orbs in no time flat. :)

Well, the last blog posted, but it wouldn't let me attach the game under "Playing (Games)."  Sigh.

Half the time when I try to post a blog now, you crash my entire browser and every tab in it. Congrats. I'll be back to posting over here now, thanks.

The biggest let-down was Devastator. I was totally looking forward to seeing this guy appear in the flick, and after seeing this, I thought it would be a faithful reproduction:

Since that looks at least mostly like the original:
http://www.toyarchive.com/..Transformers/..ToysDevastatorGiftSet1a.jpg

But instead he looks like a big pile of stupid crap:
http://granterplanter.files...wordpress.com/2009/04/..devastator.jpeg

What is that? It's RETARDED is what it is. I'd rather they just invent new Transformer characters than reuse old names and mangle the likenesses of them. Devastator sucks in this movie. Literally. That's his power. He sucks up things into that gaping maw and grinds it up. BORING.

Then we have Wheelie:

He was kind of annoying in his original form, but this guy isn't even on the right faction for crap's sake:

Gawd.  Ok, I take it back, I hated it just about as much as the first movie. The Fallen guy got taken out like a wussy, and the whole movie wrapped up way too quickly. It's typical Michael Bay; I should know better by now.

P.S. If Myspace crashes my Firefox one more time while trying to post this, I'm burning down their office. (not really)

Ok, it's pretty and noisy, voice acting is solid, and story is okay, but only being able to carry one weapon at a time is ultra lame. Camera is too bobbly. Having "crouch" and "stick to cover" on the same button isn't ideal either. The "buddy" gets in the way and gets his ass shot off way too often, requiring you to go save his dumbness. Not bad overall, but still flawed.

So, G4 has his "series" of "Movies That Don't Suck."  It was suspect when they included TimeCop, but now that they're putting RoboCop 3 into the category, I've officially lost what puny amount of respect I had for them.  They just need to go off the air.  Now.  And take pointless white trash garbage like Cops and Cheaters with them.  I'll miss Ninja Warrior and Unbeatable Banzuke, but I'll make the sacrifice for the greater good.

Shopping for jam at the store today, I saw the regular stuff, and the other "low sugar, low cal" stuff with Splenda in it.  I opted for the non-synthetic variety instead since I heard a rumor somewhere that the fake stuff was bad for you.  Turns out that by and large, it's not.  Cancer.gov said so.  Another study in the Oxford Journals also seems to find nothing conclusive.

I had a hunch and wanted to verify it, and sure enough, the other epic stock market tumbles seem to have mostly taken place in October, same as now:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock_market_crash_in_1987

Wtf is with October?  Does the Headless Horseman run up and down Wall St decapitating investors or somethin?
