I celebrated a milestone birthday a few days ago. Im 20 x 1.5 (get yo math on!) . i had a good day just chillin with family. as i look back i am extremely grateful that ive made it this far. every year we get is truly a blessing from God.

but you can't help but reflect on your life...the good & the bad. and i have to admit im not satisfied with what ive done to this point. my life to this point has been nothing short of a hollywood script.  but there's still so many things i want to do. so many things i want to accomplish. there's people i want to help, buildings i want to build - but walls i want to knock down.

and in that regard, im waaay behind. its crazy but, everyday life gets in the way of your dreams. you wake up. you have thigns you have to do. and when you look up - its time to go to sleep!

i can't continue to let that happen though, if i want to do the things i want to do. so as of a few days ago. i made a committment to "pursue past procrastination" to DO the things i want - not just talk about em.

so though the last years of my life have been good. i promise that the next 30+ years of my life will be better.

Wassup Fam! Just wanted to fill you in on some exciting news...

Under a new agreement with Hallmark corporation for Mother's day, they are releasing a one of a kind card that features the song...you guessed it...Mother's Day!! You open it up and it plays the song for the mother in your life. How cool is that??

I cant tell you how honored I am that they chose the song I wrote for Mothers across the world to unveil a new technology. Its no bells & chimes, its actually my music and my voice that you hear when you open the card!

So do something special for moms this year. The cards will be in any Hallmark location. Without the huge support I have received for that song in particular, this would not be possible. and for that YOU the fans get the credit!!

Wassup Fam! Forgive ya boy 4 takin so long between these blogs...

I just wanted to chime in and let yall know, im still working. My focus everyday is to come up with music people can relate to...music that gets into your soul...music that "moves" you. So as i'm working on this album, thats what im trying to accomplish everyday. The idea is to release the new album sometime this year...ofcourse things are alot harder when u got 2 kids on your right hip 24-7. but they are my blessings, so i gotta take care of them. So just be patient with me.

Also, i will be ridin in to a few cities before the release, so i hope to meet alot of yall in person finally. i really do appreciate all the love yall send me! its crazy to hear that years later, people are still bangin tha first album! that is the biggest compliment an artist can receive. to know that your music stands the test of time.

Been getting alot a love about my story. its humbling to know that GOD can use someone's strife and difficulties to help other people get thru stuff. there is no way i could get into everything in just a one page bio. so in the near future i'll be doing an audio-biography just for my fam!! (that means you) we'll post it on myspace where you'll be able to hear it from beginning to end. i realize im a testimony in progress...and I want to share my story with as many people that will listen. i believe that's what GOD intended.

hey ya'll sorry for all the recent blogs but ive been gone for over a year and a lot has happened.  remember i'll only blog when i feel its important. (so bare with me)

GOTTA SAY THANK YOU

During the time iwas away, i had bad days, crazy bad days.  if you've never been in a position where as a parent - you feel hopeless and there's nothing you can do to help them...then you just don't know until u go thru it.

many times...MANY times.  i contemplated giving the music thang up.  it takes so much of your time - away from your family - to be successful in this business.  and i pondered and worried countless days..."what do i do when i'm on the road and i find out one of my babies is sick" especially my lil girl who was born with one of the worst conditions ever.  i just couldn't imagine not being there.  but one day GOD revealed to me that the gifts given to me were given to move people thru song.  and as long as i was operating in my gifts - he would do the rest.

that's the main reason i came back.

then to see that even though a year had passed, there were still people who were with me last year STILL HERE.  and to see all of the comments and letters and ecouragement (i read them all) it was overwhelming,  and i just can't thank ya'll enough for that. so once again, on behalf of my entire family - THANK YOU!!!!

 

CHANGES

since i've been back there have been some very important changes to my page. 

1. Snocap Store - this is a new download store directly on the page that you can use to download all your favorite tunes.  it saves you the hassle of having to go to another site. log in etc.  I also want to add that the quality of the actual download is MUCH BETTER than what you actually hear.  it is actually just a step below cd quality so download as many as you want and enjoy!

2. if you scroll down- just under the bio is a mailing list signup.  let me explain what this really is...if you want to be the FIRST to know about everything...the FIRST to get free tracks...the FIRST to know about upcoming projects and shows...the FIRST to find out about contests/giveaways etc. etc. - you need to signup for that mailing list. just enter your email address in the box, then add your first name & hometown - and it will do the rest.  THERE WON'T BE ANY MORE CONTESTS DONE THRU MYSPACE - IT WILL ALL BE THRU THE MAILING LIST.  The blog (from now on) will be where you and i get to actually interact and talk/laugh etc.

tomorrow (assuming we can get this music player to work right) i will do a special blog on Fathers.  Just a few months ago, I got a chance to speak to my father for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE. (i still have never seen him)  i'm going to talk about that experience & i want you to share some of your experiences (good & bad) with your father.  the REAL is...Its time for MEN to step up and be DADS!
