Hello Friends/Enemies(?)
It's been a few months now.  Seems hard to know where to even begin.  Or maybe even why....

Not sorting through hundreds of filed bits and pieces of ideas/writings from the past year for sure.  Most everyday I start writing something and whatever that is ends up being forwarded to my email or under stack of papers.  To be finished later or never...

Perhaps a review of 2008 is in order.  Expect that sometime this year.  It was good and bad.  Hope this year stays sucker free and I make a lot of money.  This will help to keep checks from bouncing and the phone getting turned off.

In the end I am lucky to be able to do the things I do so I can't complain too much.  I was writing this earlier.  It's been kind of cold lately being winter and all.  When I left work last Wednesday night all the doors to the Ford were frozen shut so I had to crawl through the back glass hatch in over the seats to get inside.  Then it took more than 20 minutes before it was warm enough to travel even one inch.  Anyway this is from earlier so here you go:

I was sitting here last night a little after midnight and the power went out.  It was off for the entire night so no light, heat,or You Tube.  Damn it was cold but not cold enough to want to find somewhere that was not as cold so I just went to sleep.  I was not really tired but what else to do besides go to bar and get trashed.  I don't do that so often anymore.

In the morning I was able to get the keys to reset the breaker downstairs which was kicked over my desire to run a small heater in one room and reheat the mashed potatoes in the microwave at the same time.  Luckily this has only happened one other time since I've lived here so not the biggest deal in the world.

By probably 9am it was off to the Carlisle Gun Show.  Too bad when we got there found there was not a Carlisle Gun Show instead a sign noting that the show was rescheduled for another weekend.  I probably wasn't going to buy another gun but I what I really wanted was a Surefire flashlight that did not cost way too much.  Some models cost over $400.

So it was off to Harrisburg area to visit the Bass Pro Shops which is a giant fish tank with a hunting/fishing store built around it.  The "handles" to the outside doors were even made of elk antlers.  Very interesting.  Found the flashlight section and started testing out the Surefire lights.  They didn't have the one I wanted and the price listed was way too much anyway.

After that it was off to the Hollywood Casino in Grantville.  I had never been there so it was cool to check out.  I was surprised at how many one cent, two cent, and five cent slots they had.  After an hour and just about breaking even back through Mechanicsburg to a Circuit City liquidation sale that people were going wild over.  Not sure why as even at 10% off the stuff was still overpriced.  I need a new computer real soon.

A few hours ago I ended up buying the flashlight on Ebay so I will have it later in the week.  It will be perfect for blinding suckers who hassle me when walking home late at night and also in the spring I am going to explore the abandoned Pennsylvania  turnpike which includes the Rays Hill Tunnel.  If you are familiar with author Cormac McCarthy(no country for old men) one of his newer books "The Road" was made into film and is coming to theaters hopefully sometime this year.  Parts of the abandoned turnpike were filmed for the movie and I will go there to see for myself.  If you are really interested there are videos on youtube of the tunnels.

That is it for now my friends...good night

My brother on the news

and the news article with my red Ford Explorer pictured in background:

Children taken from uninhabitable Carlisle home

by ELIZABETH GIBSON, Of Our Cumberland County Bureau
Monday October 13, 2008, 11:26 AM

Moments after retching from the smell of old, dirty diapers and rotting garbage in the back yard of a condemned house, Shawn Johnson, who operates a clean-up service, loads a stained mattress into his truck. Officials say three young children lived in filth in the home at 150 S. Bedford St. in Carlisle.

Signs posted on the door of a Carlisle home occupied by Shawnta M. Moody and her three young children condemn the site for human occupation.

Authorities took custody of an infant, a two-year-old and five-year-old this morning, who they said were living in a setting described as unfit for humans.

The baby girl and two boys are in the care of Cumberland County Children and Youth while their mother, Shawnta M. Moody, 25, faces criminal charges for risking her children's health in the filthy Carlisle home.

As flies crawl over the surface of stained walls and dirt-crusted carpets in the now-empty house at 150 South Bedford Street, evidence of the children's foul surroundings was piled in a pick-up truck in front of the home this morning.

Carlisle police said the children were in good condition. They lived in the row home just off East South Street near LeTort Elementary School with Moody and the children's grandfather, who has not been identified.

What a big mess these last few days have been over there.  My brother lives here in Carlisle only a few blocks away so I go to his house to visit nearly everyday.  That is also where I park along his block because I'm too cheap to rent a spot anywhere else.  Or maybe $50 per month is a waste of money.  It is...

Thursday night the cops went into the house and then Friday there were 10 cops and some social workers from the county.  A few cops looked like they were gonna puke after going in and out of the house.  I only choked a little when I stood next to their yard.  There was quite a swarm of flies among all the decaying mystery bags in what used to be grass.  The whole yard was covered now with only with rotting trash and brown dirt.  Broken wooden dining room chairs along with crushed Steel Reserve cans.

It was always hard to tell who lived there anyway as there would be 10 people sitting outside on the front stoop every night.  There would be a pile of bicycles and a bunch of lowlifes mostly just being loud and smoking cheap cigarettes.  They were likely outside so much because the house made them sick to be inside.

Around 10 trashy people had showed up and were mad cause the cops wanted them to leave.  They wanted to sleep inside on top of the rotten trash.  Photos were taken of the property and some workers from the town came with some tools to lock the house permanently.  The police announced that the doors were being locked and the lowlifes were to go and and claim any belongings they owned.

One group of lowlifes ended up with a small single mattress that was stained with piss and shit.  It soon rode by on the roof of a car with a hand out each of the 4 open car windows.  Each hand was reaching out the window to hold the mattress to the roof.  Wonder how far they were going?

Today all the news reporters came from local Fox,ABC,NBC news and the papers too.  I rarely wake up by noon so when I got a call this morning to stop over and be on the news I didn't bother to answer the phone...

I've seen forceful evictions by the police before

but this was way different

no matter how much they give people for free

like vouchers to pay the rent for a nice house

many will still fail

rotting turkey carcass in the back yard

I watched as that woman sat handcuffed in the back of a police car

another woman I assume was from the county wrote down long lists of notes on her clipboard

not sure where these kids end up

whoever will take them I guess

maybe the new people will allow the children to wear clothing instead of running down the street naked

If it's alright now that I have a recording of the show I'm gonna take it back to May 8th 2008 in Harrisburg,Pa.  I was good and broke with most of the cash I had in my pocket acquired in the last 6 hours.  There was not enough money to buy gas to drive for my trip but I could get there on the bus and figure out how to get home later.  Can't remember exactly what time it was the blue bus pulled up down the street from where I live.  The handful of coins went in the fare box.  I had not taken the bus for nearly a year.  The ride was nearly 45 minutes and besides me there were about 5 other riding the bus.  Luckily no one tried to talk to me about anything.  Strangers on the bus often like to talk about the weather.  There were a couple hours before the show started so I went walking around 2nd Street.  I walked about one block before seeing Shonna Tucker walking towards me.  I smiled at her as we passed and she smiled back.  She went into a restaurant and I continued walking.  Out of a dozen or more bars there were a lot of people out sitting on the sidewalk tables.

I found a few people who were waiting in line early in front of the club.  After talking to a few people who I did not want to be around I crossed the street and went over to the Brickhaus to see if anyone cool was there.  No one was there so I went back downstairs and bought a bottle of beer and took it outside to the table.  I sat there for nearly an hour watching the line across the street get longer and longer.  Patterson and sound tech Damon came across the street and walked past my empty table.  I said hello to both of them and they said hello back.  Other people stopped by to find out why I was sitting at the table and what was going on tonight.  I told them nothing was going on that I knew of.  One guy didn't understand and pointed at the line of people across the street and the tour bus.  Is there a band playing he asked me.  I told him I'm not from around here and he walked away.  The doors opened soon and I went over.

The Dexateens played first and I was glad when they were done.  I did not come to see them and would not ever again if at all possible.  This crowd sucked but it was still good to see the Truckers play in a small club.  I guess a lot of people drove from more than an hour away.  I ran into a few good friends and found a ride home with some nice Carlisle people who had an extra seat in the car.  I was glad I did not have to walk home or sleep in the bus shelter.  After dark if you don't get to the bus stop early enough then you cannot claim a bench.

The Truckers set was great.  A little short with only 19 songs but still very powerful.  One cool thing was the Truckers slightly altered version of  Warren Zevon's "Play It All Night Long".  That often forgotten song is amazing and it would be rare to hear anyone play it live.  Ok so here is the show if anyone wants to listen.  There are other sites that may have better audio but archive.org is easiest to click and listen without downloading a whole bunch of garbage.  Here are a couple pictures I did not take but they are from the show.  That is it my friends...

With a rowdy blasted southern version of Bruce Springsteen's 1982 song "State Trooper" the Truckers ended their show and left Harrisburg probably to never return again...

Category: Pets and Animals

Since it's now after midnight I was up to Waggoner's Gap yesterday for a little while.  This is the mountain where I grew up here in Cumberland County.  Living closer to the bottom many younger days were spent hiking or bicycling to the top.  One night after dark I didn't bother to come home so my mom drove up looking for me.  She was not mad but just didn't want me wandering around up there at night probably cause of satanic worshipers or something like that.  At the top the elevation is around 1500 feet so does not take too long to hike up there.

Because of the thick haze I was not able to see Three Mile Island cooling towers(27 miles away) or even the South Mountain so maybe next time.  I was reading about the new HawkWatch area and wanted to see what it looked like.  Over 19,000 different raptors migrate over the gap every year.  Volunteers spend hours each day counting them between August to September.  I do not know much about the hawks so I was reading about them today.  I guess I won't see them unless I go visit when they are actually migrating and not some hot afternoon in June.  I have no interest in counting birds but would like to see a Merlin.  A Merlin is a type of small falcon that will attack any other bird it sees including eagles.

I have been feeding the animals the past few days so I took a few new pictures of them.  I was hoping the goats would walk with a leash but they are either very stubborn or think I am trying to steal them.

I was sitting here tonight thinking about when I was in Richmond last and although I’ve been to Virginia a few times since then the last time I was really in the city besides just passing through was 4 years ago.  Tomorrow night I will be leaving with Preno from Lancaster to finally make it down there again.  Friday the Drive-By Truckers will be playing an instore acoustic show inside one of the greatest record stores ever...Plan 9 Records so that will be awesome and then later the band will be playing a rock show at the National.  It should be a nice little couch tour.  I never did a review from the last Truckers show I saw in December but maybe I will someday.  So anyway I have some older stuff I wrote when I was in Richmond with the Nightime Dealers last time they played there.   Some people might enjoy reading.   Menges "Archive" status...haha

from March 2004

So I drove the guys to Richmond last Friday(3/5). I worked till 7am which was a great way to start the day. Left around noon with no sleep and arrived around 5pm got food and looked around. Went to visit Plan9 records which sucked cause I was broke. The guys went to Rob’s apartment to kill some time before we had to load in for the show. I was tired so I stayed in the van to sleep for a hour which didn’t help. Got to the show at the Nanci Raygun(formally Twisters) and loaded in. The Dealers had to play first since it was RPG’s headlining show and the other band were from Detroit. We had a couple hours to waste before show time. I went for a walk to see the neighborhood and then came back to sit in a video game race car with my eyes half closed. Dealers played and there were a lot of people already there which was really cool. They played one of the best shows I have ever seen and I’ve only missed a few. The next band "The Hard Lessons" from Detroit were cool. They had an organ, midget drummer and a girl singer. Some people were thinking Debbie Harry but I was thinking Patti Smith. One of those bands I’ll always enjoy live but not really be into buying records. RPG came out and served up a big dose of hard hitting Rock n Roll. The place was packed full of crazy rockers, beards, and hair hurricanes...
The RPG got mad cause we had to leave after the show. They insisted we had this party to go to but we left anyway. They did pass out inside their van with it running last time they were in Lancaster anyway. Started driving back home after a raid on the 7-11. After a hour it started raining really hard and I couldn’t see the road anymore so I had to wake Garman so I could figure out how to turn on the windshield wipers. Back to sleep for everyone but me. What a long night. I put on some NY Dolls and tried to make some time in the rain. Got back to Nick’s place at 7am and when I got my leather out of the back of the van it was soaking wet and I had one of my favorite buttons ruined from the water. Everyone was looking beat but they all got to sleep almost the whole way home. Said goodbye and told everyone I was gonna go home and get some sleep and then I would see them around 4-5 to load in for the Harrisburg show. I got home and stayed up for a couple hours and then went to sleep.  I woke up later it was around 4pm and my tv and stereo were playing. I didn’t bother to call anyone. Instead I went back to sleep. Around 8 I woke up again but still didn’t feel like going. It really does take me a obscene amount for me to get myself out the door mostly when it is time to go to a show. I want to go and see everyone but the next minute I want to be gone and alone. I hope to go back to Richmond soon. I really like it there.

Category: Jobs, Work, Careers

So it was about five Sundays ago I decided to quit my job(again) at the Pilot.  Some of you I may have already told or you may have even seen me that same night here in downtown Carlisle.  I worked the overnight shift full time for about 8 years and then quit 2 summers ago and was asked to come back last February.  This time it lasted about 8 months before I had enough.  I was not getting anything done here at home or anything at all really.  I thought I could deal with it but by the end of summer I was thinking of quitting everyday.  I hated it and just didn't want to go but went anyway.

Back in September I went there to work at midnight after the Willie Nelson/Merle Haggard concert when I just wanted to hang out then go home.  I went there to work at 4am after the Murder Junkies show in Harrisburg when I could have been seeing all my friends and having a good time.  I went home from Lancaster after the punk rock flea market instead of staying down there and going to the show.  I had to work that night and I didn't want to go but went anyway.

My boss told me that I would need to have my schedule turned in 6 weeks ahead of time.  I would like to meet someone who knows what they are doing at night 4-6 weeks from now.  So that was enough.  I am no longer going to miss out on anything unless I decide not to go not someone else.  My life does not need to revolve around any job.  Also I do not need to be around people who complain for 8 hours whether it be customers or other employees.  How can people be so miserable.  I try to set a good example by always being nice at work even if I do not want to but some people need to leave their problems at home.  It got really old really fast my friends...

So it was Sunday October 21rst I was sleeping in the evening before work and I woke up around 8pm and went back to sleep.  I had to be at work at 11pm.  I woke up again around 10:15 and started getting ready for work.  It got to be around 10:30 and I decided that I didn't want to go.  By 10:45 I was really sure I didn't want to go.  I went out front and got in the truck and drove it back into the parking garage.  I went back and picked up my cigarettes and unplugged my telephone.  It was nice out so I started walking around town.  I was glad to not be at work.  I saw the flashing lights of the Gingerbread Man so I went there and sat down at the bar.  It was around midnight now and I had some beer and then went home.

They tried calling me but I made sure to leave my phone off for a few days.  Other people tried to call but they couldn't reach me either.  As with previous blog I don't believe giving a notice is necessary when quitting a job as they can fire you at any time for any reason.  Check the handbook wherever you work.  In most cases it will say your employment is "at will" and not a contract.  Anyway I just wanted to catch up on this as some people probably wonder what I have been doing with myself.  Some of you I don't see often.  Some of you I see never...

So what have I been doing since I quit?  Mostly working here at home doing my eBay stuff.  After a couple years now I know that I can get by or do even better working for myself.  This means I can choose my own hours and be at home a lot more.  I still work at the mall part time usually once a week but that's it.  They don't have many hours for me anymore.  I gotta get through this winter.  My heat bill last year at the old apartment was as high as $175 per month which sucks along with paying rent and everything else.  Hopefully it will cost less here but if not then I'll still have to pay it anyway.  Don't worry friends I won't have to get another terrible job anytime soon.  See you down the road...

Yes Friends,
It's been a long time but so this will get things started again.  I have mostly been good.  A lot has changed around here but maybe for the better.  It's been over a month of living in my new place.  I really like it here.  I kind of forgot what it was like to live somewhere nice.  Every place I like has been taken away in order to accommodate the big money people.  I like that people don't piss outside my front door.  Living across the street from a homeless shelter for over a year was very undesirable.  Can homeless people be helped?  Yes but this operation I would call a failure.  There were many people who helped me to get over here and I can't thank them enough.  Just for fun here is one of the final pictures I took of my old apartment from across the street on the homeless shelter side.  .  My front door was under where the carpet is laying and the next 2 windows were from my bedroom.  The pile of leaves and garbage is what I pulled out from about 6 storm drains to keep my living room from flooding again.  This was a few months ago.  It never took long before the water was up over the sidewalks...

Pull up...
"Will you be paying cash?"
"Yes."
"Ok please wait"
a couple minutes go by
"Sorry our system is down could you wait for 15 minutes till it comes back on?"
"Well that's a hate crime right there"
"What did you say sir?"
"You mean to tell me the stove is off?"
"No the system"
"I can't wait for 15 minutes so how about this.  I tell you what I want and then you can make it and then I'll pay you cash."
"Well alright did you have exact change?"
"No I don't have any change.  I don't care about the change just give me the food and keep the change."
so the total was $5.30 and I give her $6 and she someone managed to get the drawer open and return me 2 dimes and two 50 cent pieces.
then I got the food.  The fries were nasty but I guess that's what you get a 1am when the system is down.

"If a Danzig falls in Baltimore does he make a sound?"
(review from 10/23/07 Rams Head Live-Baltimore,MD)

So last night ER and Preno and I went down to filthy Baltimore to see old Danzig for the first night of the "Lost Tracks" tour.  We met up with a bunch of people in a bar where you could be in Texas and Mexico at the same time.  This whole Rams Head Club was a big dump.  It was downtown in this big complex where you park the car and then spend all your money then go home.  Sort of like a circus since there were a bunch of clowns and acrobats there.  They were dicks at the door and took my marker and the clip for my keys.  This was after I already waited in line once and then went back outside to stash my wallet chains.  OK so we watch this first band Suicide City and they were crap like AFI/Good Charlotte rip off with goofy clothes and haircuts jumping all around.  I think Preno said it best with his comment..."You wanna be in a band or be a Power Ranger"....
Doomriders from Boston were great and then Gorgeous Frankenstein were really lame.  So next up was Danzig and things started to get interesting.  He appeared on stage in this goofy looking shirt that might have had built in nipples sort of like something a superhero would wear.  During the 3rd song "How the Gods Kill" Glenn took a tumble off the front of the stage.  I was off to the left and didn't try and catch him because I heard that Danzig is invincible.

So the answer to whether or not 53-year old Danzig makes a sound when he falls.....well yeah...it sounds a little like this..........."WHHHHOOOAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Apparently not as the rest of the show he was real pissed shouting at band members for not playing the songs at the right speed and yelling at roadies for whatever Danzig gets pissed about.  I gotta give him big credit anyway for even finishing the show if he really did get hurt bad.  I was looking to hear some Misfits songs like everyone else but what was even better Danzig left after playing about an hour set and then a 15 minute encore.  After the lights came on most of the crowd started chanting "BULLSHIT BULLSHIT" because they wanted to hear some Misfits songs and were denied.  I was thinking there might be a riot but I was denied.  It was great all these kids who dressed like Misfits or whatever that paid $30 didn't get what they wanted.  We hung around for awhile after the show and then left.  I decided I didn't really need to meet Danzig after all so we left.  Alex went back and met him and told us on the phone that that paramedics were looking him over and that he dislocated a shoulder blade or something when he fell so maybe the tour is over after one night.  I don't think I'll be seeing Danzig again but it was cool to see the band once.  When I was younger I was not allowed to see Danzig probably because I was 14 and my parents wouldn't drive me there...

Alright Friends...this will be it for tonight because I have some work to do here at home but I have more great stories to share and hope you enjoyed this long awaited 35th blog...

Keep me on the streets and out of this working game
Thursday, May 03, 2007

Hello Friends,

Look it's #33!!  This one should be interesting.  I'll admit I am still pissed right now or rather pissed on(not actually but might has well been).  I still think this is going to be a very good year.  I have not been by here much lately but as some of you know I don't have a ton of time to spend on here and also if you write me something other than "What's up Dude?"  I will probably take the time to write you back.  So a few nice people were down to see Jello Biafra speak down at the Chameleon last Monday.  Was interesting as before and although I can't agree with Jello on a bunch of things (without getting all political on here)it was nice to here someone explain to a whole bunch of people how Obama and Clinton both voted on the Patriot Act which mean the government can listen to your phone calls, open your mail, and see what books you like to read at the library.  Jello is right about that with something so serious one strike means you are out.  He is also right when he says Clinton and Tipper Gore are best friends.  Some people will be quick to say that if you don't have anything to hide then you have nothing to worry about I will have to disagree.  If you have been watching the news or papers in the last couple days stories are starting to emerge from the FBI anyway that about it for that one.  After Jello the plan was to stop at McDonalds and WalMart to help balance out listening to all that politics for 3 hours.  Anyway it ended up being a WaWa on the way to Manheim and then some whiskey and cigarettes.  If you want to read about the FBI and how they have been allowed to abuse the Patriot act on us then here is an article...FBI and the Patriot Act

So anyway everything below was from a little while ago.  It is now after 3am.  I might be sleeping soon soon so maybe I'll catch some of you out at the Marysville Tavern next Saturday night.  Check out Underground Promotions in my front page and look and see what's coming around here.  I guess I better go to work tomorrow night although Murphys's Law will be at Smalls and they are one of the best live bands to see.  My work has been rather interesting so far especially last week and once I get a few more ideas I'll make sure you see it.  The Bloodhound Gang was in the other day but I was off.  I don't like them but I will still will meet most anyone if they show up.  Here is a list I found of all the people I met and most all of them I talked to working my nights down at the truckstop.  Some people have asked if I ever kept a list so here it is....

Rick Nielson/Bunn E. Carlos(Cheap Trick), Union Underground,B2K, St. Lunatics(Nelly's rappers), Bad Hair Day, Tiny(NWO wrestler), As I Lay Dying, My Chemical Romance(a couple guys), Reggie and the Full Effect, Agnostic Front,Drawback, Marilyn Manson, Dita Von Teese, Plain White Tees, Punchline, KMFDM, The New Amsterdams, Tom Savini(master of horror/special effects), Big Sandy and the Fly-Rite Boys,The Allman Brothers, Submachine, N.E.R.D./Neptunes members(Chad Hugo/Pharrell Williams), Motogrinder, November Kills, Max Romeo and the Upsetters, Peppers Ghost...some more I can't remember anymore and some other bands/band members I brought or invited in myself that I will not mention here....

If you missed the bulletin earlier then what started out as a smaller problem earlier turned into quite the fucking disaster hours later when my bedroom ceiling exploded with water and soaked most everything down so damn fast I couldn't save a bunch of stuff.  It was like a hurricane in my room.  I first tried to get my records out of the bin to the living room a whole bunch got water sprayed on my bed so I had to drag my mattress outside.  I am going to start moving as much stuff as I can out of here when I wake up.  There is an extra bedroom above Visual Addiction and I called and Rob said I could start moving my stuff into there to store it for another month or until my apartment will be ready one floor up.  I knew it would take awhile but there is not much else to do.  I can't be here much longer.

I lost my temper earlier and shouted at the plumber and the landlord.  I did not say anything that would get me in trouble but did ask them about how they feel if someone took a piss on their head and they should try it themself.  I had to get away from them fast.  I didn't know what to do really so I decided to walk over to the fire station.  Some are very nice people and would help me if I needed help other than putting out a fire.  I told the plumber that he had done enough already and that I would have the fire company bring the vaccuum over.  I guess that was my logic at the time rather than doing something I would later regret.

There is where I sleep and to the right the bottom of my record bin and the bucket that I first used when it was just a little drip...

I took the night off from work.  Some of you probably don't know I started working nights again for I guess something to do.  That is another long story that would best for another time.  It has been rather retarded so far but it is everything I expected after working there for 7 years.  I went over to the shop earlier and yelled through the door for everywhere who lives there until Julie came down and let me in.  Then Cooper came over and looked at the damages.  I tried to sleep for a few hours then Todd caled around 9:30 and picked me up to go over to the house that he and Julie bought.  It was a real fixer upper and there was a bit of a painting party af around 6 going on to the sounds of GG Allin and the Clash.  It was good to get away from here for a few hours and be around other people.  There was pizza and lots of drinks.  I wish there were some before and after pics of this place.  I have really been wanting to help them since when I moved the last 2 times they were up a few whole nights helping me move stuff up and down the stairs over and over...
This house was wrecked when they bought it so with the help of everyone everything that needs fixed will be done.  It was crazy all the painting that was done just today.  I showed up late but spent some time scraping really old wallpaper from the wall and then sanding over it.  Plus it is crazy that with the ton of stuff they have to do moving themselves and Todd still offered to help me get my stuff out of here.  I'm gonna go over Tuesday night and help them again.  It will be a very nice house when it is all finished.  That should give me something to do this week.
After midnight when it was time to leave I stopped at Cooper's and he offered me this big air mattress to use so that I don't have to sleep on my couch.  I also talked to some other people on the phone today which was also nice.  I do not have any insurance so what is fucked is fucked and I will see what I can possibly do legally as this was a negligent disaster and someone should pay.  I should have left after the first time the whole floor flooded.  This time it came from above.  The best thing for me now is to start packing and starting aout somewhere new.  The sooner the better...

I was walking around on 2nd Street in Harrisburg last Friday where I go most every Friday and I noticed there is a new fortune teller and in the spirit of wasting time and sometimes money I was gonna go visit her to kill some time.  I forgot all about but I was wondering if she could have warned me about my apartment.  For only $5 I think that would have been worth a try.  Once I visit her I'll tell you what she says while there is still a sale on predictions.

Hello Hileman and Sick Jim...Won't you be (as Jello says) in my very own Myspace friends trophy room??

Thursday, December 28, 2006

I don't get to go to my parents house very often.  Seems to be only for some sort of holiday occasion.  They still live not far from town up in the mountains in the house I mostly grew up in.  I looked out my old 2nd floor bedroom window and could see the lights of Carlisle off in the distance.  When I was 9 and moved from the beat up old trailer to the house we built next to it I picked this room because it had 2 windows instead of one.  The lights are a lot brighter than they used to be...too bad you can't move the mountain a little farther away...

Anyway not much for writing lately...here anyway...I hope everyone is having a nice time with whatever it is you celebrate this time of year.  So this is all you will get for now...some pictures I took at my parents house today...the first one my brother took...enjoy-MN/GS
