Fishbone Records is one of the most complete and professional music companies that you can find here in Cyprus. The company is a registered member of IFPI & Asteras Collective Rights Management. It is based in Larnaca in an old mansion-house in the center of the town and very close to the beach.

Fishbone Records is a record label with two in-house recording studios, Studio A and Studio B, equipped with the latest and best technology that you can find on the island. Firstly, our main studio, Studio A, is equipped with Digidesign’s Pro-Tools HD 3 Accel and Icon D-command console and Outboards. All of these are from the most popular and respected manufacturers within the music industry, such as, SSL, Neve, Avalon, Waves and Focusrite. Studio B and Live-room B are a smaller version of Studio and Live-room A, nevertheless equipped with the same quality of sound and equipment. Our upmost concern is for our musicians to have all they need and could ask from a company.

Additionally, we provide agency, management & production, and distribution services. That is, the company offers musicians their own exclusive agent/manager who books concerts, events, advises them, or helps with legal issues. Their goal is to do whatever is needed for their music to be heard. Music bands and artists are welcome to send us their work in any possible way.

Pitch your music to industry pros looking for music placements in Film, TV, commercials and with major artists!
"Pitch-a-song" is a creative talent event where independent artists from all genres submit their work to be "pitched" for consideration & review by credited music supervisors, producers and other industry professionals who have the power to place selected works in Film, TV alternative & other music markets. Preparation meets opportunity with the "Pitch-a-Song" as this can be a great career opportunity for some as well as a status check of songwriting quality for others.

All submissions will be pre-screened so the quality of what is randomly "pitched" to the panel will be very high. We encourage non-participant listeners in the audience to experience the excitement of hearing great new music. This kind of event often attracts other industry movers & shakers in the general audience who may contact submitting artists directly after the event. As most serious songwriters & composers know, the more your work is heard, the better the odds are for success. "Pitch-A-Song" offers the opportunity of having your work reviewed by a panel of pros who can actually use what they hear.

Third time seeing Poison and they still got happy 'tudes and brought on all their old rock. Baz has the vocals....STILL! Lots better than that reality show. Dokken was the crowd favorite and the perhaps newcomer to ATL. The entire crowd was dancing and jamming. And the crowd mingling was awesome! I saw allot of familiar people in the biz in the crowd and it was a great reunion of sorts.

First Motley Crue blasted the attendees, followed by AC/DC, and then on to Metallica..... What goes with rock-n-roll, BYOB, and a cheap night out? The Roller Derby. This past weekend we went to the flat track women's roller derby. Although flat track rules disallow some of the superb moves from the 50's Roller girls we grew up with, the action was almost just as furious.

Of course they still have the cute names and they are cute girls. I saw 3 of the 4 Atlanta teams. The Atlanta Rollergirls rocked the Shriners. The track was fast, the music great, and if you like hockey, the hits are as hard as the ground earthquaking beneath your feet when they fall. Saki Tuya unfortunately lost but the 2nd game, Atlanta slaughtered Tampa Bay with a good point spread.

The price is a little on the high side, but isn't everything today? It's the only place you can go and not feel like a threat to homeland security. No metal detectors or security searching your purse, pockets, and other personal items. We could also bring in our own alcohol PLUS smoke with our drink in the quadrangle. The food was even tasty.

Don't forget to wear torn fishnet stockings. This is the L5P people so anything goes. Dress as zany as you want. You'll fit right in. My biggest regret is not bringing a camera.

So if you are into rock-n-roll meets hockey with female participants, this is the place to go. Roller Derby is hot-hot-hot right now and I thank the ARG for all the freebies, friendliness, and support of the sport.
