Hey. So Superbad is finally out, years after we shot it. Not all of my stuff ended up on the editing room floor. Apparently I have 10 to 2 seconds of fame in this movie. I haven't seen it yet, but heard it was quite funny.

Hello. Tomorrow at 6am I shall be strapped into an uncomfortably cramped airline seat (I feel awful for those taller than me!) on my way to Cape Cod, Maine. I am modeling for an artistic coffee table book put out through Holland publishing. It is as yet untitled, but shall let you know when it comes out. A three day outdoor shoot in the country; I could not picture anything more serene... mind you I am not picturing the magnificantly unconfortable but beautiful poses this requires!

Lots and lots of news so where ever do I begin? I am weighing the pros and cons on whether or not I ought to share the rather recent boneheaded situation I put myself into. Too bad I cannot blame it on being blonde! However, I believe I shall share my mistake for all to read as I am sure each and everyone of you have had your moments... a large factor contributing to our humanity (no one is perfect, besides who'd want that? Do you know how boring that would be?)
Anyway...onwards with the blockheaded foolishness that overcame these past days. My grandfather had a serious, almost fatal incident. I dropped everything and drove immediately to be by his side … I truly believed he wasn't going to recover from this one (amazing terminal cancer and all, he sure is one stubborn old man!). Granted, my faculty of reason was still intact however such rationality was then governed by emotion, which meant computing ant other thought unrelated to my grandfather and his grim reaper waiting impatiently by his side (just there to do his job and no more but go on to the next) At his point I had no concept nor ambition to know what day or date it was, I knew I had a few days off and if anyone needed me they'd call the day before. This is the part where I can honestly say I was a rock! Being at my Grandfathers' my phone was on silent so as not to disturb him….I was supposed to be on set today and found out a few hours ago. How go I explain that one? The true blockheaded moment was when I checked my blackberry and saw it in my schedule. I do feel my priorities were in order however had I even though to check my schedule as opposed to relying on memory I could have done the proper professional thing- an advanced phone call. They are compassionate people and would have understood.
Rude on my end to leave them hanging – ignorance is not a very good reason.
I would imagine you have all had these types of incidents or moments? When you know it's your fault and yet figuring out how to make it up to them if they will let you… This does not happen often to me; in my seven year career I have missed very few sets- usually with an advanced call due to either an injury or flu. This one shall be tough! .At least my grandfather has a stubborn streak a mile wide- he really comes to life when he sees his family gather around. Sweet, comforting, and heartbreaking (felt as if internal fireworks were exploding with full velocity courtesy of the chaotic emotional trio). For the moment I can rest asurred that my brothers are also rescheduling their lives. This will be the first family member anyone of has had to let go of, Makes you realize how precious family is -even if they are mean, cranky and stubborn (that does not refer to my grandpa, by the way, but it does refer to a different relative).

I am trying to see the positive in this... you know be my bright chipper happy self.... and yet I have a tug of consciounce. Not entirely am I prepared to deal with this. Not often one gets a phone call requesting their immediate presence due to a forseeable family tragedy. Bluntly, my grandfather has terminal cancer and isn't expected to make it through the week. Rather shocking news as I'd not known he was ill. Sure he smokes like a chiminey on fire and enjoys a drink now and then, but all of that seemed rather harmless as he has made it this far through life doing exactly that. My grandfather is a kind soul and though I do not know much of him in these recent years gone by, I do have some wonderful memories stored from childhood. Perhpas the odd part of this is, that I question what it is i ought to feel? I've never experienced this before... do I cry? do I toughen up and lead the example for my younger brothers? Is it okay to be emotional? And then... do you think I am awful for wanting to take pictures of his last few days? Some have remarked it cruel... however I view it as way to capture who he is with us, if only for a little longer. Capturing the reality of grim emotional faces. There is something to that...

Hello. I made an appearance at the Carnal Comics' booth at this years Comic Con convention in San Diego. I was promoting the comic book preview of what shall soon be a series of Aurora Snow comic collections. It is a rather interesting new line of work for me. I do most of the writing for my own comics. Stories are drawn up and I write a little something to go along with it. I have asked carnal comics to do something with me and a kitty or to morph me into a sexy kitty comic heroine. I have a thing for kitties. I am looking forward to the beginning of this series! I shall let you know when it debuts.

Today is a day that borders somewhat upon perfect. I slept in this morning, covered in fur... warm, breathing, living fur (two cats and a dog, all of whom insist upon sleeping on top of me!). Took my dog for a nice long walk and then for some reason was overwhelmed with a desire to bake cookies. An intriguing task as I dissected a basic chocolate chip cookie recipe and manged to turn into a healthy protein cookie recipe. To be honest I wasn't even sure of the outcome! I half expected that I'd conjured up some horrid batch of cookies, however to my surprise and delight it all turned out to be quite tasty. Aside from being domestic today, I am reading a few new books (one of which is "The 48 LAWS of POWER by Robert Greene- an interesting read) and catching up on emails. I couldn't imagine spending my Sunday any other way, it truly is almost perfect!

I had a great night last night at the Rhino, and prior to that had a wonderful time doing an interview for a local station here called The Buzz. Finally a little sunshine out here in Florida. I haven't quite made it to the beaches yet... in part due to the fact that my guy I travel with got food poisoning at the airport. He ate a greasy hot dog in the Atlanta airport during our layover and has been sick ever since. With a few cups of chicken noodle soup he pulls it together when we have to work in the evenings, poor guy. I cannot exactly wander West Palm Beach, FL all by my lonesome.... maybe he'll be better tomorrow (sigh). On a brighter note I just found out that I am hosting the club's VIP party Saturday night. Should be a lot of fun. My last show is at 3am both tonight and tomorrow night, so come keep me company!
xoxos,
Aurora

I was in MA not too long ago dancing at Alex's of Stoughton. I had a great time. A wonderful club with sweet girls. On the second night of my booking I arrived to find a package in my dressing room. At first I wondered if it was from the club. As I was curious I had to open it. Terrible if I hadn't, right? Inside the box were two dozen long stemmed red roses and an adorable brown teddy bear, shipped fresh all the way from Houston, Texas from an adoring fan. I was shocked with pleasure. A very sweet surprise! Thank you Kurt!

Only a few days ago I was on the Sony Pictures Studio lot in Culver City. I had a very small role as BangBus Girl in one of their upcoming comedies, so far entitled "SuperBad." It's the same director from The 40 Year Old Virgin. Just thought you might be interested. Fun experience and I look forward to doing more.
