Current mood: optimistic
Spoken by some little girl on youtube.
Recently Leanna has started to post more blogs about her life, and this encouraged me to check my own out. It has almsot been half a year since I have posted a new blog....damn. I used to be such a blog enthusiast. What happened? Well I will try to make up for it for now on and give any of you bored web serfers out there something entertaining (or at least something to read instead of blankly staring at a screen or stalking people on facebook).
Times have been rough lately. About two months ago we had an extremely busy day at Vieni Vai, in the middle of which I had a table decide that they didnt need to pay their bill. My boss told my to pay the bill, I told him no (which was a very short rendition of what I wanted to say, which consisted of "Go to hell you f*cking prick asshole ..." and so on), and he kind of looked at me in shock. Sure enough, next week I wasnt on the schedule. Now I have heard "well you should have just payed the bill" more friggin times than I care to, but he was looking for a reason to get rid of me considering he is the spawn of Satan himself that gave up his plans of world dominiation and settled for making every life he possibley can miserable by opening a restaurant in SLO. Douche. I hope he gets hit by a truck (not killed, just hurt really bad).
So off I went into this awesome economy we have going at the moment (Bush rules). I applied everywhere. Denny's, IHOP, Borders, TACO BELL, F'ing everywhere. Then after a month of being unemployed (thank you God for this happening at tax season, otherwise I'd be homeless right now), Dan got a tip from a little restaurant called "Mama's Meatballs" that they were hiring a new kitchen staff since all the illegals they previously had employed just got busted. I went in, and am now a dishwasher. Usually this would be upsetting, but damn am I glad to have a job.
My first two days were interesting. Let my just say it's a damn good thing I know a little spanish, otherwise training would have been like reading braille (I just looked up how to spell that). I gotto say I wish all the Mexicans hadn't left, because I was really looking forward to learning spanish from a kitchen again.
At any rate, my new employers are awesome. I get free food all the time, and on my second day we had beer to congratulate Jose on venturing away from Mama's. They are very lax and actually give a shit about their employees. It's a damn nice breath of fresh air since working for Vieni Vai. I am still looking for a serving position, but in the mean time, I get over 3 miles of walking in every time I work plus the exercise of working in a kitchen (my pants are actually loose for the first time in I can't remember how long). I got my first paycheck today, and though rent might be a week late I will be able to at least pay it. Maybe one of the servers will get fired and I can take their spot. That would rule (for me, not them).
That about catches you up to the present. I will post blogs more frequently, promise. Miss you all.
Peace.

Current mood: blissful
Training Day spoken by Denzel Washington
So I am learning about memory and memory recall in my Intro to Psychology class. While doing homework for said class Training Day came on. As soon as Denzel said that line I suddenly got this surge of memories from 2001. This is when Josh and I were hanging out with Dale Lower (this was before both of them became complete douche bags). We quoted that line probably a million times and watched the movie almost equally. Those were damned good times. Funny how memory works.
And to go along with the whole Nigga quote, I went to my first "G Party" ever (see default pic for visual). It was a blast. I haven't thrown my hands in the air like I just don't care in forever.
School is going great. I had to interview a student for my Journalism class. Naturally I didnt use a day out of the whole 2 months we had to do it and waited till the last minute. I interviewd my buddy Tyler and made a huge stress on the fact that he plays beer pong professionally (yes, it exists). My classmates and teacher loved it, and it will more than likely be in the next Cuestonian edition. I also received an A- on a paper for my Critical Thinking class. The only class I am having a problem in is my psych class, but that is mainly due to the teacher being completely unorganized; I still should be able to pull off a good grade in it.
Along with school life is going great. I am living in SLO now and loving it. Its amazing to actually be able to walk to places now. I had the first work party Vieni Vai has seen at my house last night, and it went great. Lots of beer pong and good company (along with a great philosophical discussion about religion). Life is good, but I very much miss my ohio peeps. It has been 1.5 years since I have seen my mom and those of you who didnt go to Vegas, which is just far to damn long (hell it has even been to long for those I DID see in Vegas). I will try and make a trip home in december. One thing Ohio weather is good for is some snow for Christmas. Miss you all and hope to see you soon.
Peace.

Current mood: accomplished
That was one hell of a question the other night, but I get ahead of myself. We start our adventure on Saturday night. Chris and I went over to Branson's fiance Teresa's house to hit a few drinks. And by a few drinks, I mean enough to send me into a complete state of black-outedness. In my defense I was very tired from working at the shop and had very little to eat. Appperantly we then went to Branson's house (him her and alvaro all live in the same complex) to go to sleep. Suddenly in the middle of the night, I come back into consciousness barefoot phoneless and outside. I can not for the life of me figure out where the hell I am. So I finally realize that I am in the same complex that Alvaro lives in, so I go to his door which I only found do to a red line of paint that is always next to his door. Unfortunately for me, the door is locked. Now I am really upset, and for some reason I remember where Teresa's house is but don't even think about Branson's. By the grace of God the door was open, and I then go inside and fall asleep on the couch. I wake up at about 630 am finally fully aware of where I am at and having no idea why I am barefoot phoneless on Teresa's couch. So I go over to Branson's and am told that I just decided to wake up out of a dead sleep and walk outside. Pretty sweeet. The part that worried me is these aren't people I've partied with a million times before and will just laugh at any stupid thing I drunkenly do. Luckily for me Branson and Teresa are fuckin cool as hell and just laughed about the whole thing. I'm pretty sweet.
The enxt day Chris drops me off at the bus station so I can start my 8 hour treck to Irvine to help Dan move up. The ride was fine and without any problems. We then prepare for the emga bash that Dan is holding that night. Dan prepared 4 pork butts, 30 bud lights, 30 Coors lights, 24 coronas, and random bottle of alcohol. The turnout was pretty damn good. I must say that people out here are fuckin pansies when it comes to chuggin. One guy got pretty hosed in beer pong and started bitching about what would amount to 4 beers that he had to drink. The whole time I am thinking "really? 4 beers is what I would drink on the ride to shauna's house and then proceed to drink huge amounts there in a game of moosehead." The party was a damn good time, and besides me being a little touchy with a girl I didn't know after I lost consciousness, I was good. I mean I wasnt that bad, I could have been like some people and showed her my crotch (please see courtney's blog "Excuse me, guy, ... Your crotch is out."). Abot 3 am I started doing the classic Mitchel Sway, Dan looks at me and asks if I am ready for bed. I nod, he kicks everyone off the couch and I hit the hay.
The next day it took us 7 hours to move his stuff into the U-Haul when it should have taken about 3. Ooops. But we got the job done. We jsut now got done unloading everything into the house, and Dan and I are officially roommates. I will take his own words by saying "this has been a long time coming." It's gonna be some damn good times. I will now round up this rediculously long blog and go get something to eat.
Peace!

Whatever It Takes Performed by Lifehouse
So I go to church today, and the sermon is about mariage and how to keep a happy one. Most of the sermon is based on 1 Corinthians, and basically he was talking about things not to do and such. The bible goes into great detail about how God designed mariage to be a wonderful thing that makes certain levels of happiness possible. Right away I start going into my cynical view of relationships in my head, which is basically I don't get why we are programmed to want to be with someone so badly. I think to myself why in the hell I can't be just as happy single as I would in a good relationship. As soon as I get to this point of thinking the pastor then says "Now this is good advice for those of you marrired and those single. You cannot depend on another person to make you happy. This isn't their responsibility, and if you haven't figured this out already, you really need to. Your happiness should come from the love God gives you and knowing how unconditional and unlimited that love really is."
Touche God. There have been a select few times in my life where God has stopped molding the universe for a moment just come to earth and smack me on the back of the head. Every time this happens I literally have to hold my mouth because I want to laugh so hard; God has a billion other more pressing matters but still takes time to set me straight. I can almost hear God laughing with me when these moments take place. I just get this picture of God looking like Red Foreman from That 70's Show saying "You all straight now Dumbass!" Very funny image to me. And that is my epiphany for the week. I just got a lot of work to do on me I guess, but hell, who doesn't.
After that my day just went to shit. I came out of Applebee's to discover one of my four original tired is flat. Sweet. So I bust out what has to be the world's smallest Jack and Doughnut set ever made for an automobile and switch out the tire. I get about a mile down the road and guess what, my clutch is sticking to the floor, can't even shift, perfect! So i manage to get into a parking lot and fiddle around with the pedal. For a moment it looks as if this was a temporary problem and I am good to go. Hurray! But wait, as soon as i make it up the hill to get out of the parking lot it sticks again, which considering there are cars behind me trying to get out and I need back in is just a super sweet thing. Some cars pass me, but then this absolutely wonderful girl gets out, asks if i need help (which I do), then goes into BK and brings out reinforcements to get my car back into a spot. You better believe I said a prayer for that girl when she left. So the parents drop by, call AAA, and we had it towed to a shop in morro bay. So tomorrow I get to find out how much money that I don't have this is going to cost me. Fantastic. Plus side? Well, at least this didn't happen on a freeway or something just as annoying and/or dangerous.
So needless to say, I need a little humor in my life. Leave me a comment of something you think will make me smile and/or laugh. Thank you in advance!
P.S. - This blog is dedicated to Megan per her request.

Current mood: working
Seriously, I’ve gone from writing 2 blogs a week to maybe a blog a month! I will try to work on that.
Life has been doing alright. Cindy has to be away from the office today and tomorrow because her Mom passed away and the funeral is tomorrow, in way southern cali. This wasnt an unexpected event, but still hard. Cindy is doing ok though (she is my step-mom for those of you who do not know).
School is still good. Just doin the best I can. It’s going to be very hard to get an A in my english class. We got our first paper back, and I got a friggin 85, which I semi expected. It’s been years since I have written a paper, and Mr. Fleming is the kind of teacher where if you do a good job, its a B, A’s are for utter excellence. I’ll get one yet damnit!
Random instance. Some truck driver just stopped in to see if I needed any seafood or steaks. I will never buy from a meat truck (espeacially fish!).
I can’t remember the last time I really sat down and played my guitar. This makes me sad to think about, so I think I might go home tonight and rememdy that. It’s just hard without an audience to play for! (an extremely drunken audience to play for at that)
Dan has an interview in Vegas this weekend, so wish him well. It’s gonna suck having him even farther away than he is now, but I’m sure he’d be much happier in another job at somewhere orther than friggin L.A. Really wish I could go with you this weekend bro!
Alright everyone, blog at ya later.
Peace.
