The Universe as a Hologram

Does Objective Reality Exist, or is the Universe a Phantasm?

In 1982 a remarkable event took place. At the University of Paris a research team led by physicist Alain Aspect performed what may turn out to be one of the most important experiments of the 20th century. You did not hear about it on the evening news. In fact, unless you are in the habit of reading scientific journals you probably have never even heard Aspect's name, though there are some who believe his discovery may change the face of science.

Aspect and his team discovered that under certain circumstances subatomic particles such as electrons are able to instantaneously communicate with each other regardless of the distance separating them. It doesn't matter whether they are 10 feet or 10 billion miles apart.

Somehow each particle always seems to know what the other is doing. The problem with this feat is that it violates Einstein's long-held tenet that no communication can travel faster than the speed of light. Since traveling faster than the speed of light is tantamount to breaking the time barrier, this daunting prospect has caused some physicists to try to come up with elaborate ways to explain away Aspect's findings. But it has inspired others to offer even more radical explanations.

University of London physicist David Bohm, for example, believes Aspect's findings imply that objective reality does not exist, that despite its apparent solidity the universe is at heart a phantasm, a gigantic and splendidly detailed hologram.

To understand why Bohm makes this startling assertion, one must first understand a little about holograms. A hologram is a three-dimensional photograph made with the aid of a laser. To make a hologram, the object to be photographed is first bathed in the light of a laser beam. Then a second laser beam is bounced off the reflected light of the first and the resulting interference pattern (the area where the two laser beams commingle) is captured on film. When the film is developed, it looks like a meaningless swirl of light and dark lines. But as soon as the developed film is illuminated by another laser beam, a three-dimensional image of the original object appears.

The three-dimensionality of such images is not the only remarkable characteristic of holograms. If a hologram of a rose is cut in half and then illuminated by a laser, each half will still be found to contain the entire image of the rose. Indeed, even if the halves are divided again, each snippet of film will always be found to contain a smaller but intact version of the original image. Unlike normal photographs, every part of a hologram contains all the information possessed by the whole.

The "whole in every part" nature of a hologram provides us with an entirely new way of understanding organization and order. For most of its history, Western science has labored under the bias that the best way to understand a physical phenomenon, whether a frog or an atom, is to dissect it and study its respective parts. A hologram teaches us that some things in the universe may not lend themselves to this approach. If we try to take apart something constructed holographically, we will not get the pieces of which it is made, we will only get smaller wholes.

This insight suggested to Bohm another way of understanding Aspect's discovery. Bohm believes the reason subatomic particles are able to remain in contact with one another regardless of the distance separating them is not because they are sending some sort of mysterious signal back and forth, but because their separateness is an illusion. He argues that at some deeper level of reality such particles are not individual entities, but are actually extensions of the same fundamental something.

To enable people to better visualize what he means, Bohm offers the following illustration. Imagine an aquarium containing a fish. Imagine also that you are unable to see the aquarium directly and your knowledge about it and what it contains comes from two television cameras, one directed at the aquarium's front and the other directed at its side. As you stare at the two television monitors, you might assume that the fish on each of the screens are separate entities. After all, because the cameras are set at different angles, each of the images will be slightly different. But as you continue to watch the two fish, you will eventually become aware that there is a certain relationship between them. When one turns, the other also makes a slightly different but corresponding turn; when one faces the front, the other always faces toward the side. If you remain unaware of the full scope of the situation, you might even conclude that the fish must be instantaneously communicating with one another, but this is clearly not the case.

This, says Bohm, is precisely what is going on between the subatomic particles in Aspect's experiment. According to Bohm, the apparent faster-than-light connection between subatomic particles is really telling us that there is a deeper level of reality we are not privy to, a more complex dimension beyond our own that is analogous to the aquarium. And, he adds, we view objects such as subatomic particles as separate from one another because we are seeing only a portion of their reality. Such particles are not separate "parts", but facets of a deeper and more underlying unity that is ultimately as holographic and indivisible as the previously mentioned rose. And since everything in physical reality is comprised of these "eidolons", the universe is itself a projection, a hologram.

In addition to its phantomlike nature, such a universe would possess other rather startling features. If the apparent separateness of subatomic particles is illusory, it means that at a deeper level of reality all things in the universe are infinitely interconnected. The electrons in a carbon atom in the human brain are connected to the subatomic particles that comprise every salmon that swims, every heart that beats, and every star that shimmers in the sky. Everything interpenetrates everything, and although human nature may seek to categorize and pigeonhole and subdivide, the various phenomena of the universe, all apportionments are of necessity artificial and all of nature is ultimately a seamless web.

In a holographic universe, even time and space could no longer be viewed as fundamentals. Because concepts such as location break down in a universe in which nothing is truly separate from anything else, time and three-dimensional space, like the images of the fish on the TV monitors, would also have to be viewed as projections of this deeper order. At its deeper level reality is a sort of superhologram in which the past, present, and future all exist simultaneously. This suggests that given the proper tools it might even be possible to someday reach into the superholographic level of reality and pluck out scenes from the long-forgotten past.

What else the superhologram contains is an open-ended question. Allowing, for the sake of argument, that the superhologram is the matrix that has given birth to everything in our universe, at the very least it contains every subatomic particle that has been or will be -- every configuration of matter and energy that is possible, from snowflakes to quasars, from blue whales to gamma rays. It must be seen as a sort of cosmic storehouse of "All That Is."

Although Bohm concedes that we have no way of knowing what else might lie hidden in the superhologram, he does venture to say that we have no reason to assume it does not contain more. Or as he puts it, perhaps the superholographic level of reality is a "mere stage" beyond which lies "an infinity of further development".

Bohm is not the only researcher who has found evidence that the universe is a hologram. Working independently in the field of brain research, Standford neurophysiologist Karl Pribram has also become persuaded of the holographic nature of reality. Pribram was drawn to the holographic model by the puzzle of how and where memories are stored in the brain. For decades numerous studies have shown that rather than being confined to a specific location, memories are dispersed throughout the brain.

In a series of landmark experiments in the 1920s, brain scientist Karl Lashley found that no matter what portion of a rat's brain he removed he was unable to eradicate its memory of how to perform complex tasks it had learned prior to surgery. The only problem was that no one was able to come up with a mechanism that might explain this curious "whole in every part" nature of memory storage.

Then in the 1960s Pribram encountered the concept of holography and realized he had found the explanation brain scientists had been looking for. Pribram believes memories are encoded not in neurons, or small groupings of neurons, but in patterns of nerve impulses that crisscross the entire brain in the same way that patterns of laser light interference crisscross the entire area of a piece of film containing a holographic image. In other words, Pribram believes the brain is itself a hologram.

Pribram's theory also explains how the human brain can store so many memories in so little space. It has been estimated that the human brain has the capacity to memorize something on the order of 10 billion bits of information during the average human lifetime (or roughly the same amount of information contained in five sets of the Encyclopaedia Britannica).

Similarly, it has been discovered that in addition to their other capabilities holograms possess an astounding capacity for information storage --simply by changing the angle at which the two lasers strike a piece of photographic film, it is possible to record many different images on the same surface. It has been demonstrated that one cubic centimeter of film can hold as many as 10 billion bits of information.

Our uncanny ability to quickly retrieve whatever information we need from the enormous store of our memories becomes more understandable if the brain functions according to holographic principles. If a friend asks you to tell him what comes to mind when he says the word "zebra", you do not have to clumsily sort back through some gigantic and cerebral alphabetic file to arrive at an answer. Instead, associations like "striped", "horselike", and "animal native to Africa" all pop into your head instantly. Indeed, one of the most amazing things about the human thinking process is that every piece of information seems instantly cross- correlated with every other piece of information--another feature intrinsic to the hologram. Because every portion of a hologram is infinitely interconnected with every other portion, it is perhaps nature's supreme example of a cross-correlated system.

The storage of memory is not the only neurophysiological puzzle that becomes more tractable in light of Pribram's holographic model of the brain. Another is how the brain is able to translate the avalanche of frequencies it receives via the senses (light frequencies, sound frequencies, and so on) into the concrete world of our perceptions.

Encoding and decoding frequencies is precisely what a hologram does best. Just as a hologram functions as a sort of lens, a translating device able to convert an apparently meaningless blur of frequencies into a coherent image, Pribram believes the brain also comprises a lens and uses holographic principles to mathematically convert the frequencies it receives through the senses into the inner world of our perceptions.

A LITTLE GUN HISTORY

 I Thought you might appreciate this . . .
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to  1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
 ------------------------------
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
 ------------------------------
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
 ------------------------------
China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated
 ------------------------------
Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
 ------------------------------
Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
 ------------------------------
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
 -----------------------------
Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.
 ------------------------------
It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars.

The first year results are now in:
 List of 7 items:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent
Australia-wide, assaults! are up 8.6 percent
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.
There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes,
gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of  this history lesson. With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'.  During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew  most Americans were ARMED! If you value your freedom, Please spread this anti-gun control message to all of your friends.

*Bad week for Global Warming

Apparently the debate isn't over:

Global Warming and James Hansen's Hacks

If you follow the global warming debate, you "know" that nine of the ten warmest years recorded in the U.S. lower 48 since 1880 have occurred since 1995, with the very hottest being 1998.

But whaddya know! Those figures are wrong. Data from NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) now show the hottest year since 1880 was 1934. Nineteen-ninety-eight dropped to second, while the third hottest year was way back in 1921. Indeed, four of the 10 hottest years were in the 1930s, while only three were in the past decade.

The real 15 hottest years are spread over seven decades. Eight occurred before the chief "greenhouse gas," atmospheric carbon dioxide, began its sharp rise; seven occurred afterwards.

Global warming scientists fudge data

Jones, in conjunction with several other scientists published a paper purporting to use long-term data from 84 weather stations in China. The authors claimed these stations were chosen on the basis that they had not been changed or relocated since 1954 so that their data stream would provide a reliable record of temperatures over a 30+-year period.

But when checking over the claims made by Dr. Jones, Wang and their associates, Keenan discovered discrepancies that he says couldn't possibly be accidental. So the only logical conclusion is that Jones and his cohorts lied. Keenan's charge stemmed from the fact that the United States Department of Energy and the Chinese Academy of Sciences issued a joint report, which stated that 49 of the 84 weather stations had no history as to location, or instrumentation changes available. The remaining 35 stations, Keenan discovered, had indeed had changes in instrumentation and movement, in one case, movement as much as 41 kms.

Global warming? Look at the numbers

McIntyre has become the bane of many warmers' religious-like belief in climate catastrophe. In 2003, along with economist Ross McKitrick, McIntyre demolished the Mann "hockey stick" --a graph that showed stable temperatures for 1,000 years, then shooting up dangerously in the last half of the 20th Century.

The graph was used prominently by the UN and nearly every major eco lobby. But McIntyre and McKitrick demonstrated it was based on incomplete and inaccurate data.

To NASA's credit, when McIntyre pointed out their temperature errors they quickly made corrections.

Still, the pro-warmers who dominate the Goddard Institute almost certainly recognized the impacts these changes would have on the global-warming debate, because they made no formal announcement of their recalculations.

In many cases, the changes are statistically minor, but their potential impact on the rhetoric surrounding global warming is huge.

The hottest year since 1880 becomes 1934 instead of 1998, which is now just second; 1921 is third.

Four of the 10 hottest years were in the 1930s, only three in the past decade. Claiming that man-made carbon dioxide has caused the natural disasters of recent years makes as much sense as claiming fossil-fuel burning caused the Great Depression.

The 15 hottest years since 1880 are spread over seven decades. Eight occurred before atmospheric carbon dioxide began its recent rise; seven occurred afterwards.

In other words, there is no discernible trend, no obvious warming of late.

Major New Theory Proposed to Explain Global Warming

A team of mathematicians have come forth with a startling new theory that solves both these problems. Led by Dr. Anastasios Tsonis, their model says the known cycles of the Earth's oceans -- the Pacific Decadal Oscillation, the North Atlantic Oscillation, El Nino (Southern Oscillation) and the North Pacific Oscillation -- all tend to try to synchronize with each other.

The theory is based on a branch of mathematics known as Sychronized Chaos.  The math predicts the degree of coupling to increase over time, causing the solution to "bifurcate," or split. Then, the synchronization vanishes.  The result is a climate shift.

Eventually the cycles begin to sync up again, causing a repeating pattern of warming and cooling,  along with sudden changes in the frequency and strength of El Nino events.

Better yet, their theory has predictive power. The model predicts past shifts in the year 1913 (explaining the strong warming of the 20s and 30s), 1942 (resolving the post-WW2 cooling trend) and 1978 (covering our current warming). The model predicts another shift to occur around the year 2033. Most shocking of all is their prediction for the year 2100 to be slightly cooler than present day, despite the assumption of a doubling of atmospheric CO2 levels.  Eye-popping indeed.

Is carbon-dioxide really so ineffective at warming? A new study by Belgium's Royal Meteorological Institute seems to think so. Its conclusion is that, while CO2 does have some effect, that "it can never play the decisive role attributed to it" in global warming, and that its effects have been grossly overstated.

Cloudy forecast for global warming

How clouds react to a warming world remains one of the great unknowns in climate change research. In fact, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's report earlier this year noted that cloud behavior is the biggest source of physical uncertainty in climate projection.

Another salvo in this debate was fired this week by John Christy and Roy Spencer of the University of Alabama-Huntsville. Their study, published in Geophysical Research Letters, found that instead of creating more clouds, their research found a decrease in the coverage of heat-trapping cirrus clouds (above). Christy and Spencer have both been outspoken in their skepticism about human influence on global climate change.

"All leading climate models forecast that as the atmosphere warms there should be an increase in high- altitude cirrus clouds, which would amplify any warming caused by manmade greenhouse gases," Spencer says in a press release. "That amplification is a positive feedback. What we found in month-to-month fluctuations of the tropical climate system was a strongly negative feedback. As the tropical atmosphere warms, cirrus clouds decrease. That allows more infrared heat to escape from the atmosphere to outer space."

In addition to Spencer and Christy, the paper was also authored by Alabama-Huntsville's W. Danny Braswell and Justin Hnilo of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, Calif.

"While low clouds have a predominantly cooling effect due to their shading of sunlight, most cirrus clouds have a net warming effect on the Earth," Spencer says. With high-altitude ice clouds their infrared heat trapping exceeds their solar shading effect.

"To give an idea of how strong this enhanced cooling mechanism is, if it was operating on global warming, it would reduce estimates of future warming by over 75 percent," Spencer adds. "The big question that no one can answer right now is whether this enhanced cooling mechanism applies to global warming."

Putting Global Warming on Ice

Ask Anthony Watts. He's the veteran meteorologist from Chico, Calif., who was featured in the June 17 edition of this column because of his project to quality-check the 1,221 official weather stations used to take the country's average surface temperature.

Watts and his volunteers have now surveyed about 227 weather stations. A recent discovery: Many are sited at water sewage treatment plants, which Watts described as "giant heat bubbles."

A responsible scientist, Watts won't draw any conclusions from his research yet. But one top climate scientist -- NASA's James Hansen, the patron saint of the apocalyptic global warming movement -- apparently doesn't think Watts' dogged pursuit of scientific certainty matters much.

Noting that Watts has found many sites whose readings are clearly compromised, I asked Hansen if that concerned him "about the long-term reliability of the temperature readings."

"No," Hansen's e-mail said.

Global Warming Update (XXXIV)

A recent Washington Post article which was reprinted in the Seattle Times argues that recent weather events are consistent with predictions of global warming science!

temperate zones, such as Europe and the United States, are likely to become more prone to flooding and areas closer to the equator will experience more drought.

On the other hand, the recent unusually heavy floods in Arizona, Oklahoma and Texas are not consistent with the prediction of "an Imminent Transition to a More Arid Climate in
Southwestern North America
". Nor are unusually heavy floods in India, Bangladesh, the Maldives and Sudan consistent with these predictions of "a significant drying of areas in the northern subtropics, including the US southwest and the Mediterranean".

The convenient thing about global warming science is that there are so many predictions and so many observations that it's easy to cherry-pick observations that appear to fit the predictions.

Global Warming Uncertainties

Not only do global warmers claim that temperatures are going up, but that there are supposed to be more storms like hurricanes. I noticed that NOAA has lowered the predicted number of storms for 2007 twice already.

Global Warming 8000 Years Ago

A fascinating find on the floor of the English Channel is causing consternation among some Global Warming enthusiasts. Glacial melting about 8,000 years ago  (timing range of the Jewish Flood story) didn't destroy human artifacts but rather kept them in a recoverable condition under the English Channel for later discovery.

And one more time:

NASA Revises Climate Data; 1934 Ousts 1998 as Hottest US Year

Aug. 14 (Bloomberg) -- NASA has revised climate data to show 1934 as the hottest year on record in the U.S., ousting 1998 and challenging the argument that national temperatures are reaching new highs amid global warming.

According to the figures released last week, four of America's 10 warmest years are now in the 1930s, during the Dust Bowl era. Just three years from the past decade remain among the top 10, with 2001 having fallen out entirely.

A flaw in the data, brought to light by a Canadian researcher, led the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to cut mean ``temperature anomalies,'' or deviations from the 30- year average, by 0.15 degree Celsius (0.27 degree Fahrenheit) from 2000 to 2006.

The above reports are what biased advocates like Newsweek would consider the "Denial Machine".

Newsweek Burns Truth In Global Warming Story

The extremists committed to the man-made global warming theory - that humans are causing the world to get hotter and that we have to drastically raise taxes and/or ration energy in response - are on the run. How else does one explain the sensational Newsweek cover story with the provocative headline, "Global Warming is a Hoax,*" over a photo of a boiling sun?

Newsweek, a Washington Post property, claims to be telling us "The Truth About Denial," and to make sure everyone gets the point, it uses some form of the word "denial" 20 times, including "denial machine" 14 times.

The article, which is the worst kind of advocacy journalism, is a shoddy attempt to suggest that those skeptical of the theory are like holocaust deniers.

Scientists: Newsweek Erred in Global Warming Coverage

A recent Newsweek magazine cover story on global warming contained significant errors and used outdated scientific material in its representation of global climate data collected by satellites, according to the scientists who maintain that dataset at The University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Dr. John Christy and Dr. Roy Spencer, who created and maintain the global temperature dataset, are available to answer questions about how instruments aboard NOAA satellites collect temperature data, and about the accuracy of that data. The most recent monthly update of global temperatures shows a warming trend of about 0.25° Fahrenheit per decade (about 0.14 C) since satellites started collecting the data in late 1978.

"One of the more egregious errors in the Newsweek article is the misrepresentation of the satellite data relative to a January 2000 report from the National Academy of Sciences," said Christy, who is director of UA-Huntsville's Earth System Science Center and who participated in writing the 2000 NAS report. "That report did not 'skewer' the satellite data, as the Newsweek article contends. Instead, it found that the apparent disagreement between surface temperature records and the satellite record was not so significant as to invalidate either dataset.

Newsweek v. Newsweek on global warming denial

Among the criticisms leveled by Samuelson against his own magazine:

Newsweek used discredited allegations about an ExxonMobil grant to a think tank to pay academics to write articles critical of global warming. The alleged cabal of deniers does not seem to be so effective as to warrant a scary cover story. Meanwhile, he points out how the mainstream media have promoted catastrophic, manmade global warming as fact rather than theory. The article was full of "self-righteous indignation," which he said "can undermine good journalism.

Samuelson concludes: "But the overriding reality seems almost un-American: we simply don't have a solution for this problem. As we debate it, journalists should resist the temptation to portray global warming as a morality tale – as Newsweek did – in which anyone who questions its gravity or proposed solutions may be ridiculed as a fool, a crank or an industry stooge. Dissent is, or should be, the lifeblood of a free society."

..start-->New Evidence Clearly Indicates Pat Tillman Was Executed
Army medical examiners concluded Tillman was shot three times in the head from just 10 yards away, no evidence of "friendly fire" damage at scene, Army attorneys congratulated each other on cover-up, Wesley Clark concludes "orders came from the very top" to murder pro-football star because he was about to become an anti-war political icon
Astounding new details surrounding the death of Pat Tillman clearly indicate that top brass decided to execute the former pro football star in cold blood to prevent him from returning home and becoming an anti-war icon.

These same criminals then engaged in a sophisticated conspiracy to create a phony "friendly fire" cover story.

Shocking new facts emerged about the case last night but were bizarrely underplayed by the Associated Press under nondescript headlines like 'New Details on Tillman's Death' - a complete disservice to the horrific implications that the new evidence carries.

Army medical examiners were suspicious about the close proximity of the three bullet holes in Pat Tillman's forehead and tried without success to get authorities to investigate whether the former NFL player's death amounted to a crime, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.

"The medical evidence did not match up with the, with the scenario as described," a doctor who examined Tillman's body after he was killed on the battlefield in Afghanistan in 2004 told investigators.

The doctors - whose names were blacked out - said that the bullet holes were so close together that it appeared the Army Ranger was cut down by an M-16 fired from a mere 10 yards or so away.

The report also states that "No evidence at all of enemy fire was found at the scene - no one was hit by enemy fire, nor was any government equipment struck."

The article also reveals that "Army attorneys sent each other congratulatory e-mails for keeping criminal investigators at bay as the Army conducted an internal friendly-fire investigation that resulted in administrative, or non-criminal, punishments."

So there was no evidence whatsoever of friendly fire, but the ballistics data clearly indicated that the three head shots had been fired from just 10 yards away and then the Army tried to concoct a hoax friendly fire story and sent gloating back-slapping e mails congratulating each other on their success while preventing the doctors from exploring the possibility of murder. How can any sane and rational individual weigh this evidence and not come to the conclusion that Tillman was deliberately gunned down in cold blood?

The evidence points directly to it and the motivation is clear - Tillman abandoned a lucrative career in pro-football immediately after 9/11 because he felt a rampaging patriotic urge to defend his country, and became a poster child for the war on terror as a result. But when he discovered that the invasion of Iraq was based on a mountain of lies and deceit and had nothing to do with defending America, he became infuriated and was ready to return home to become an anti-war hero.

As far back as March 2003, immediately after the invasion, Tillman famously told his comrade Spc. Russell Baer, "You know, this war is so fucking illegal," and urged his entire platoon to vote against Bush in the 2004 election. Far from the gung-ho gruff stereotype attributed to him, Tillman was actually a fiercely intellectual man with the courage of his convictions firmly in place.

Tillman had even begun to arrange meetings with anti-war icons like Noam Chomsky upon his return to America before his death cut short any aspirations of becoming a focal point for anti-war sentiment.

According to Daily Kos, Wesley Clark appeared on Keith Olbermann's Countdown last night and stated that "the orders came from the very top" to murder Tillman as he was a political symbol and his opposition to the war in Iraq would have rallied the population around supporting immediate withdrawal.

The notion that the U.S. government gave orders for Army top brass to execute Pat Tillman in cold blood is the most damaging indictment of the Iraq war since it began, trumping the lies about weapons of mass destruction tenfold, but if the establishment media continue to soft-peddle and steam-valve one of the biggest stories of the century its impact will be completely diluted.

It is up to us to make this story go viral because the implications are so dire that they could act as the final death knell for the blood-soaked and illegal occupation of Iraq and become the clarion call to bring our troops home.

ROCK STARS LAUNCH THE 'LIVE CONCERT' CONCERT ...

... TO RAISE 'CONCERT AWARENESS' ...
Hello all ...
Do you remember the days when 'rock stars' were supposed to be rebellious? When they gave the symbolic finger to all that the establishment stood for?
It seems to me, with the odd exception, that this all died outside the Dakota apartment block in New York on December 8th 1980 when a mind-controlled Mark Chapman shot John Lennon. It was Lennon who said:
Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we're being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I'm liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That's what's insane about it.
I can't think of many mainstream rock stars who would say that publicly today - or this:
I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?
Lennon was a unique man who had understood much about reality and the illusory 'freedom' of the 'free world'. As he said in his song, Working Class Hero:
Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still fucking peasants as far as I can see

Where is Lennon's like today in the music 'industry'? The new 'rock rebels' can be found playing at an ever-gathering stream of concerts with 'Live' in their name. I am convinced these concerts must be part of a breeding programme, so often do they now appear. They and their stooges-on-stage are dedicated to 'saving Africa' or 'saving the planet' while serving the very forces of deceit and control that Lennon so memorably identified. The spider has them glued to its web.
Rockers like 'Prince of Darkness' Ozzy Osborne and his wife have joined the club big-time and we have rock 'Sirs' like Paul McCartney and 60's 'rebel' Mick Jagger:
'Will you walk into my parlour?' said the Spider to the Fly,
'Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy.'
A profound expression of the establishment suction machine is the case of the honorary 'Sir' Bob Geldof, another royal honour-bearer, and Bono of the band, U2. For me, Bono has always been more lightweight in his presentation of global injustice, but at the time of Live Aid in 1985 Geldof was magnificently outspoken about the system's built-in bias that blights the lands and lives of billions.

What has happened to him since the surly became a 'Sir'? The construct appears to have vibrated him into line. We now have the sight of Geldof praising Boy Bush for what he has 'done' for Africa, and the same with Tony Blair and his successor as Prime Minister, Gordon Brown. Bono called them 'the John and Paul of the global development stage' in his bid to be Sycophant of the Year.
A greater insult to Lennon, though not McCartney, is hard to conceive.
Blair and Brown are architects of the very rape of Africa and its like that Geldof once so brilliantly articulated. They both supported and instigated finance and action that has led to the death or maiming of more than a million civilians in the former Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Iraq.
They supported and campaigned for sanctions against Iraq in the 1990s which, even according to United Nations figures, cost the lives of more than half a million children. As with all 'Western' governments, their trade and finance policies have devastated countries in Africa.
Even so, Geldof told the Labour Party Conference that Blair and Brown had helped to change the political landscape by putting Africa at the top of the agenda at the 2005 G-8 summit in Gleneagles, Scotland, when, in reality, Gleneagles was all a show, a sleight of hand to which Geldof, Bono and their 'Live-8' rock concert gave essential cover.

It wasn't that they meant to, but they became so close to the manipulators they fell for the manipulation. Now Geldof and Bono rightly complain that the promises for Africa made at Gleneagles have not been delivered. Of course not, chaps. They were never meant to be.
But the Live-8 concert in London before the summit gave the impression of people power at work and the political leaders gave the impression that they succumbed to that pressure when it was just a magic trick with the rock stars of Live-8 used to pedal the deception.
Rock stars don't change anything anymore because the system has them by their guitar strings, not least because they walk or strut on the stage in ignorance of the cause they are supposed to be supporting. Anyway, a worldwide audience on live television? Crikey, can't miss out on all that PR and name-awareness. Think of the record sales. They're not all like that, but for sure many of them are.
This week came a new low in the concert circus with 'Live Earth', the global manipulation of reality to sell the lie that rising temperature is caused by human activity, thus giving the manipulators the excuse for more taxation, global laws and centralised control to 'save the world'.

The Illuminati front man for this grotesque misrepresentation of 'climate change' is the practising Satanist, the so-appropriately named, Al Gore, who was given free-range on worldwide television to deliver the deceit that human-created carbon dioxide threatens our very existence. Gore used 221,000 kilowatt hours of electricity in 2006, 20 times the American national average, but, hey, don't criticise the High Priest of the Carbon Cult or we'll dub you a 'global warming denier', you horrible person.
The official companion publication to Live Earth is the Live Earth Global Warming Survival Handbook written by David Mayer de Rothschild, son of the notorious Sir Evelyn de Rothschild, and tool of the Rothschild dynasty, one of the most central and influential of the Illuminati satanic bloodlines.
The fact that these concerts at locations across the world took place on July 7th - 7/7 - the same day as the London bombings in 2005 (the week of Live-8) is no coincidence, either. The same force ultimately behind those terrorist attac
ks that killed more than 50 people is ultimately behind the global warming con.
First of all the hypocrisy on display if, as the rock stars believe, carbon dioxide is the culprit. The following are figures estimated by the London Daily Mail:
* Live Earth's 'carbon footprint' was 34,722 tons (82,122 tons if you include the television audience).
* The shows generated 1,130 tons of trash, some of which will go into landfills.
* Many of the stars, through their extensive touring on private jets, have 'carbon footprints' up to 200 times higher than that of the average Briton.
* Performers travelled an estimated 222,623 air miles to take part.
Matt Bellamy, front man of the rock band Muse, called it 'private jets for climate change', but irony of ironies, while the concert was criticised for its 'carbon footprint', the real point continued to be missed:
Of course pollution is not a good thing, but it is NOT the cause of global warming - the Shadow People just want us to think it is to trigger all the benefits for them in justifying more central control of the planet.
Temperatures have been rising because the Sun has been releasing more solar radiation and this can be seen in the corresponding increase in sunspot activity - enormous explosions of energy on the Sun's surface that can be as big as the Earth, some as big as Jupiter.

Sunspots

Increased solar radiation has two main effects on the Earth's temperature. Firstly the obvious one, a 'hotter' Sun means a hotter Earth. Secondly, increased solar radiation reduces the amount of so-called cosmic rays reaching the Earth and it is the interaction of cosmic rays and water vapour that form clouds. The fewer clouds, the more heat from the Sun gets through.
The graphs of sunspot activity, high and low, and cosmic rays, high and low, to the corresponding rise or fall in the temperature on Earth are blatant confirmation of the fundamental relationship between the two.
For example, sunspot activity rose from long before the Industrial Revolution until 1940 and then fell to 1975 before increasing again from then until now. The Earth's temperature went up until 1940, fell until 1975, and has been rising ever since.
In fact, during that period up to 1975 when the temperature was falling there were television documentaries about fears of a new Ice Age!
Other planets, like Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are experiencing rising temperatures because of the increased solar radiation and how can their climate change be explained by human-generated carbon dioxide??
When this point was put to global warming 'expert' and Live Earth supporter David Mayer de Rothschild, he said that those planets were getting warmer because they were "closer than the Earth to the Sun." !! I know, I always recommend deep breaths and a cup of sweet tea.

For David  Rothschild's benefit only

These are the mind-numbing depths to which the global warming 'debate' has descended. Ask the stars on the Live Earth stage about global warming and they would just parrot the official line having done no research whatsoever of their own. To have done so would have been to tell Gore and co where to stick it.
Instead they have added their voices to the insanity that is gathering pace by the hour about the threat of extinction by global warming. I received an email the other day detailing the campaign of a group calling itself Avaaz.org: The World In Action  which claims to be active in 125 countries.
It says that Live Earth reached millions of people, but now they needed to '... get started with the rest of the world'. It wants to 'turn the moment into an unstoppable global movement - the climate crisis demands nothing less'. It urges people to pledge their support for their country joining 'an international treaty within the next two years that cuts global warming pollution by 90% in developed countries and by more than half worldwide in time for the next generation to inherit a healthy earth'.
That is straight from the Illuminati wish-list.
Some sanity is breaking out here and there, though. Scott Armstrong, an international expert on forecasting methods, publicly challenged Gore this week to put his money where his manipulation is. Armstrong faxed and posted his 'Global Warming Challenge' to Gore which invited him to bet $10,000 that his alarming temperature predictions are correct over the next ten years. Armstrong would put up $10,000 in support of his contention that Gore is monumentally wrong. He said:
Gore says there are scientific forecasts that the Earth will become warmer very rapidly. But I have not found a scientific forecast that supports that view. There are forecasts made by scientists, of course, but they are very different from a scientific forecast.
The only way Armstrong can lose his bet is if the technology exists, as with the HAARP project in the United States, to influence Earth temperature artificially. HAARP, or the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program, based in Alaska, targets the ionosphere, the uppermost part of the atmosphere. HAARP certainly has the potential to change the weather; the question is to what extent?

One of the greatest of ironies in the Live Earth scam is that having 'concerted' for Africa several times, the same rock stars and their successors are now campaigning for measures to 'save the planet' that will pull up the ladder on Africa and prevent those countries using the technologies of the 'West'. But then, contradictions are identified by research and contemplation and little of that seems to go on among the music 'intelligentsia' of the private-jet-set.
Anyway, you can't be against the global warming establishment in today's politically-correct music establishment. That would be real bad for your image as a rock star who cares. Any chance of a rock star who thinks and challenges the prevailing propaganda?

Oh, sorry, forgot. Someone shot him.

All over the world, enigmatic artifacts have been found that do not fit the accepted geologic or historical timeline. Do they offer a radically different view of our world?

Of all the many unexplained phenomena, experiences, and objects in the world, ones that hold a great deal of fascination for me are what I categorize as "ancient anomalies." Also called "ooparts," these are objects that by scientific measure are very old, but in form or construction appear to be quite modern. They are impossible fossils, out-of-time technology, anachronistic artifacts. In other words, if our history of the world is correct, they just should not exist. And there are many examples - many more than geologists, archaeologists, and other scientists care to admit.

Why are they so fascinating? Many reasons. First of all, most of them are real and tangible. Unlike ghosts, mysterious creatures like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster, and phenomena like telekinesis, these unexplained artifacts have been seen, touched, and examined. There they are before our eyes, with nothing in our current experience or knowledge to explain them. Second, because they do exist and do not fit the standard scientific timeline or geologic and anthropologic chronology, they suggest, in their own baffling way, that either our dating techniques are wrong, geology does not progress the way we suppose it does, or there is far more to the history of life on this planet than we currently know about. In any case, these bothersome ooparts upset established, orthodox thinking. Here are a few, for your consideration:

Advanced Technology
These are the best kind of ooparts because they have been documented, often photographed, and examined by experts:

  • "Spark plug" in a geode. In 1961, the owners of a gift shop in Olancha, Calif. found a fossil-encrusted geode in the Coso Mountains. When one of the owners cut the geode in half with a diamond saw, however, he found an object inside that was obviously artificial. The object had a metal core surrounded by layers of a ceramic-like material and a hexagonal wooden sleeve. When X-rayed, the object seemed to resemble a modern spark plug or some other electronic component. Yet it had been completely encased in a geode that was covered with fossils estimated to be 500,000 years old.
  • Very old nail. In 1851, The Illinois Springfield Republican reported that a businessman named Hiram de Witt found a fist-sized chunk of auriferous quartz while on a trip to California. When it accidentally slipped from his hands, it split open, and out fell a cut-iron nail. The quartz was about 1 million years old.
  • Gold thread among the rock. The Times of London reported in 1844 that workmen quarrying stone near the River Tweed in Scotland found a piece of gold thread embedded in the rock eight feet below ground level.
  • Chain in coal. In 1891, Mrs. S. W. Culp, of Morrisonville, Ill. was fragmenting coal into smaller pieces for her kitchen stove when she noticed a chain stuck in the coal. The chain measured about 10 inches long and was later found to be made of eight-carat gold, and described as being "of antique and quaint workmanship." According to the Morrisonville Times of June 11, investigators concluded that the chain had not simply been accidentally dropped in with the coal, since some of the coal still clung to the chain, while the part that had separated from it still bore the impression of where the chain had been encased.
  • Ancient modern tools. While quarrying limestone in 1786, workers came to a bed of sand about 50 feet below ground level. In the layer of sand, however, they found the stumps of stone pillars and fragments of half-worked rock. Digging further, they found coins, the petrified wooden handles of hammers, and pieces of other petrified wooden tools. The sand in which the discovery was made was beneath a layer of limestone dated at 300 million years old.
  • Mysterious vase.Mysterious vase. In June, 1851, Scientific American reprinted a report from the Boston Transcript about how a metallic vase, found in two parts, was dynamited out of solid rock 15 feet below the surface in Dorchester, Mass. The bell-shaped vase (see photo), measuring 4-1/2 inches high and 6-1/2 inches at the base, was composed of a zinc and silver alloy. On the sides were figures of flowers in bouquet arrangements, inlaid with pure silver. The estimated age of the rock out of which it came: 100,000 years.
  • Too-old screw. In 1865, a two-inch metal screw was discovered in a piece of feldspar unearthed from the Abbey Mine in Treasure City, Nev. The screw had long ago oxidized, but its form - particularly the shape of its threads - could be clearly seen in the feldspar. The stone was calculated to be 21 million years in age.
  • Ancient nanotechnology. In 1991-1993, gold prospectors on the Narada river on the eastern side of the Ural mountains in Russia found unusual, mostly spiral-shaped objects, the smallest measuring about 1/10,000th of an inch! The objects are composed of copper and the rare metals tungsten and molybdenum. Tests showed the objects to be between 20,000 and 318,000 years old.

Maps and Drawings
Although mysterious, these findings are not quite as compelling because they could have been either forged or misinterpreted:

  • Piri Reis map. Piri Reis, a Turkish admiral and avid collector of old maps, compiled information he had gathered into a map of his own in 1513. Astonishingly, his map depicts the coastal outlines of North and South America - and Antarctica, which was not officially discovered until 1818.
  • Unexplained maps. Scholars aren't sure what to make of the maps etched on a rock. Do they crudely depict the continents of Earth as they appeared long ago - including the lands of Mu and Atlantis? Or, as some have suggested, do they show the lands of some other planet? To be impartial, however, they also could merely depict divisions of much smaller tracts of land.
  • One of the Ica Stones.Ica stones. In 1966, Dr. Javier Cabrera, a Peruvian physician and professor of biology, was given a rock for his birthday from a local peasant. On it was a picture of a fish, allegedly carved thousands of years ago. Upon further study, Cabrera realized the fish depicted was of a species that has been extinct for millions of years. Cabrera hunted down the source of the mysterious rock and found many others like it in Ica, Peru - thousands of them. On them were carved impossible ancient scenes: telescopes, open heart surgery, and even men battling dinosaurs (see photo)!
  • Egyptian helicopters? Discovered on the walls of a temple in Abydos, Egypt, are hieroglyphics that closely resemble modern aircraft in profile: a helicopter, an airplane, and some kind of hovercraft or flying disc.

Human Remains
Although intriguing and remarkable if true, these examples are mostly the stuff of legend and folklore, and therefore largely unverifiable:

  • Devilish discovery. Human skulls with horns were discovered in a burial mound at Sayre, Bradford County, Pa., in the 1880s. Horny projections extended two inches above the eye-brows, and the skeletons were seven feet tall, but other than that were anatomically normal. It was estimated they were buried around AD 1200.
  • Jaws. In 1888, seven skeletons were found in a burial mound near Clearwater Minn. They were anatomically correct, except that the skulls featured double rows of teeth in the upper and lower jaws and had been buried in a sitting position, facing the lake. The foreheads were unusually low and sloping, with prominent brows.
  • Grand Canyon mystery. In 1931, Dr. F. Bruce Russell claimed to have found strange underground tunnels in the Death Valley area. According to his story, he discovered winding tunnels containing artifacts that appeared to be a combination of Egyptian and American Indian. There were also mummies there, he said, that were over eight feet tall. As far as we know, no one has ever rediscovered Russell's mysterious tunnels.
  • Bones in rock. Ed Conrad has found impossibly old fossilized human bones embedded in solid shale rock in Pennsylvania. The bones look human, but the rock in which they were trapped is between 280 and 300 million years old.

There are dozens and dozens of examples of such anomalies - enough to give the traditional scientific disciplines a shake-up, I would think. But because they don't fit conventional theories, these exceptions to the rules are almost always rejected out of hand. Yet, it doesn't take dozens and dozens of exceptions to challenge established thinking. All it takes is one thoroughly examined, completely verifiable anomaly to say, "The world isn't quite what we think it is."

In Congressional testimony about "roving wiretaps" it came out that most cell phones can be signaled by the tower to go into "diagnostic mode" and at that point they broadcast all audio reaching the microphone. Some models will do this even when turned off, but none can transmit with the battery removed.

What is a cell phone? It is a computer with software you do not control, cannot modify, hooked to a speaker, a microphone, and a radio transceiver. In other words, it is the perfect bugging device.

A "roving wiretap" gives both audio and location-either by GPS or by the older and now automated method of triangulation.

Anytime you're going somewhere you need to be able to deny having been, or anytime you're going somewhere you want to not be immediately findable by the cops, you need to leave the phone behind or remove the battery.

Before any meeting, all participants should pull out any cell phones they are carrying and remove the batteries. It's not enough to put them in a bag on the far side of the room, as my own testing has verified.

When I heard about this, I ran a simple test: I set my audio recorder to record, put it in a backpack, and walked 10 feet away, indoors. Then I started talking, and guess what? The audio was clearly understandable. Assume the microphone in a cell phone is just as good, and keep the battery OUT when discussing secure matters.

The safest way to use a cell phone is not to, followed by putting the battery in only when you need to make a call or be available for calls. The disadvantage of this is obvious: you become hard to reach. At a minimum, you should be aware of your phone any time the battery is hooked up-or anyone near you has one that has its battery installed. This way, you won't tell the FBI something you have a need for them NOT to know.

And, by the way, don't think your home phone is anymore secure, as most transmit wirelessly to the base unit. This is just new technology for an old game.

Possibly, maybe, hypothetically speaking...in my past life decades ago while working for shadowy government groups who used initials for their names, we were shown how to take an old rotary dial phone (probably only familiar to those who visit grandma on holidays), dial it in a certain coded fashion and have it "turn on" without ringing, just enabling the phone to transmit the audio in the room to anyone listening or recording, and those old phones could pick up every little sound in the room! This is Cold War technology with old Ma Bell. We're talking History Channel, 30 to 40 years back! You won't even know it has been "called".

So remember what a cell phone actually is – a computer that transmits. No matter who you are, if you have something you don't want the government to hear, or just some other snooper to know about it under the umbrella of Fatherland Security, follow the rules above. If you are any type of activist, bet that you are being surveilled, just as this blog is. All of these new government jobs weren't created to process your government forms for faster service.

NAU: Paving over American Sovereignty
The Biggest Landgrab in North America, end of Property Rights, Biometrika in 2009.

What is the NAU and the NAFTA SuperHighway? The NAFTA SuperHighway (aka: Trans Texas Corridor - TTC) - funded by Spain - will be a large construction project, spanning 4-football-fields wide starting within the depths of Mexico, straight across the USA and into Canada. This inter-connected daisy-chain is linked to other Trade Corridors and existing interstate highways. The existing interstate highways will be privatized and tolled, all vehicles and trucks will be scanned via RFID technology in inspection stickers, Mexican Freight Trucks will not be searched and mainly will be carrying large containers full of cheap slave-goods made in Far-East Communust countries. The NAFTA superhighway will use tracks for commuter rail and high-speed freight rail; depots for rail lines; pipelines for oil, water and natural gas; and electrical towers for cabling for communication and telephone lines.

The North American Union (NAU) and a NAFTA Superhighway are nothing new, it is a NAFTA agreement that has been going according to plan since 3 years ago. The President has attended secret meetings, and has signed around 2 agreements under the Security and Prosperity Partnership program (SPP.gov) along with former PM Paul Martin, and Mexican President Vicinte Fox. All agreed to; Integrate Mexico, Canada and the United States, erase the southern and northern borders and manage to put in a tri-national 'North American Union' ID card containing sensitive biometric information via the 'REAL ID Act of 2005' which is to be set in place on December 31, 2009. Like magic, no more illegal immigrant problem.

The NAU will gradually progess into a American Union (AU), much like the European Union. With One Government, one flag, one currency (Amero), One Constitution modeled by the Soviet-Union's Constitution (the US Constitution and Bill of Rights will be overthrown) and we are beginning to see the paving of our rights from Orwellian legislation like the 'Military Commissions act of 2006'. With said bill already signed, it will give construction of the NAFTA Superhighway legality to proceed because private property rights and all inaliable rights will no longer exist, and Iminent Domain programs will commence.

If you dread this concept as i do, i suggest you research the NAFTA Superhighway and Security Prosperity Partnership. It is up to you to find out what this means to the Sovereignty of this nation, do we want to live under one flag, one soviet constitution, one big brother government police state?

If any person tells you that asking questions is Un-American then they have no idea what it means to be an American. They probably don't have the capacity to even understand what America is all about.

1. Were WMD's in Iraq?
2. Is there proof that Al Qaeda was in Iraq?
3. Is there proof that Saddam was trying to build a Nuke?
4. Did Iraq pose a threat to the region?
5. Did Iraq pose a threat to America?
6. Was "Time is not on our side..." a true statement?
7. How hot was the fire in WTC One and Two?
8. How much real damage was done to WTC Seven by One and Two collapses?
9. Who made money from 9/11?
10. Who won political "capital" from 9/11?
11. Where is Osama?
12. Is America safer?

Here are some people that NeoCons would undoubtedly liable as Un-American.

"We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people."
~John F. Kennedy~

"We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. We must remember always that accusation is not proof, and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law. We will not walk in fear, one of another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men, not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate, and to defend causes that were for the moment unpopular."
~Edward R. Murrow~

"Of all the frictional resistances, the one that most retards human movement is ignorance, what Buddha called 'the greatest evil in the world.' The friction which results from ignorance can be reduced only by the spread of knowledge and the unification of the heterogeneous elements of humanity. No effort could be better spent."
