"Music Speak is many things."
It is an education program with exclusive curriculum and several programs. It is a publishing service. It is a production studio. It is a merchandise line, including a series of exclusive education materials (including hard copy, CD's, MP3 music download software, CD-ROM, DVD, and web based curriculum and programs). As part of the ongoing services, it offers musician counseling on performing rights, trademark, copyright, music law, writing credits/royalties, and more. It is a Member Network for students/teachers and related musicians/bands/businesses. If this seems like a lot, it is because Music Speak has been evolving and expanding since the early 1990's. However this will be the last time these programs are mentioned here - because...
"...the music, the band, and it's collective future!"
Equally important to the other branches is MusicSpeak -the music, the band, and it's collective future. This blog and The Official MySpace for MUSICSPEAK focuses solely on the music that makes MusicSpeak 'original expressive communication -done through sound'. The concepts of the MusicSpeak Education Program seep into the background of the music - and the reason for that connection is simple; Gary Williams.
"Welcome to the rest of my life..."
Gary Williams (guitar, drums, bass, percussion, production, music and lyrics; live guitar) is from Vermont and has a long history of performing and recording in bands of all different styles -but is mostly known for drumming with Five Seconds Expired, Slush, Minimus, and as an independent musician. Gary has been expanding MusicSpeak goods and services for several years and besides all the songwriting, recording, and producing that has gone into this, there is also an extensive MusicSpeak Education Program, production, publishing, MusicSpeak online networks, and many other aspects behind the scenes.

MusicSpeak started as one. Inspiration and potential grew with two. Now the four piece live band is working hard, performing the live presentation of the original recorded songs.
Musicspeak song writing started in the early 1990's with Gary composing multiple albums worth of material written, recorded and produced before the band ever had any other members. The original idea in writing so much music up front was to gain a bit of a head start of maybe three albums worth to get things rolling. Inspiration struck though, and as 'big picture thinking' turned into years of writing, improving, re-writing, and ultimately 'time-testing' the material, endless recording was very rewarding. The plan for the live band was to add-on a mercenary rhythm section to play live... and all worked out, although finding the right fit for musicians has never been easy. However, the one thing still missing at that point, but already written and planned for, was vocals.
After a long vocalist search including a couple false starts and a very long audition phase, non-stop writing and recording continued anyway and it was decided that Musicspeak would move forward with or without vocals! A few specific instrumental tracks were published and released online, and many ideas -including using different people/voices for different songs (similar to the recent Santana albums) were considered as the vocal search went on.
Fast forward to present and you'll find Musicspeak on stage, new album releases planned for several years ahead, always writing and always recording, new MusicSpeak Gear (shirts, stickers, and songs are all available and much more on the way!!), new music released (and releasing) online and retail, Musicspeak MP3 music downloads, Musicspeak ringtones, MusicSpeak blog, The Official Wordpress for MusicSpeak and web log, MusicSpeak lyrics and commentary, MusicSpeak online shop and merchandise, MusicSpeak discography and album release schedules and ordering, MusicSpeak on iTunes, growing radio play of each MusicSpeak single, including live performances in-studio and on-air, 'unplugged' versions of the songs, and upgraded gear all around -MusicSpeak is the top priority and we're doing all we can to be as active as possible.
