So I've got this show coming up in South Carolina the end of July, and I managed to somehow land a little blurb in The South Magazine, a pretty big regional pub.  Sweet.  Scroll down to the last listing:

Summer in SC is gonna be HOT!  (Luckily your ticket to the show will include complimentary air conditioning)  ;]

Love and green m&ms,

Here's an incredibly eloquent and sexy review of our music by Columbus UWeekly's Don Allred, just before our show in Columbus this Saturday.  (go Buckeyes)

Mythica
Saturday @ Rumba
Mythica's music spins deep, deep for what gets called Celtic, deep for anything. There's plenty of sparkle amidst gravity's rainbow of bass tones, but always an urgency: "Play your violin, child, send your spiral down/Oh, let it be wicked..."But not just for wickedness' sake, or not the superstitious kind, anyway. "Don't be/Someone to carry over/Something that can't be seen." Romance, release-then the dark globe opens into a familiar, hollow world, with "For Patrick" presenting a swirling, medieval hip-hop summons to justice. Myths can make sense of things, in the air and the forge.

Found this picture from 2008 Flower Market... it was a torrential downpour that year... but two sweet high school girls came out and gave us flowers with this note.  Thanks girls!!

This past weekend we played our fourth Wilmington Flower Market at Rockford Park. It was awesome, despite the mud.  Below is a video of our final song "Maluaka Beach" on which WDEL radio personality Rick Jensen joined us to play some kick ass guitar!

The next day we cruised 2 hours west to Frederick, Maryland, where we played the 10th Annual Frederick Celtic Festival. We were honored to play the same festival that bands like Enter the Haggis and the Glengarry Bhoys have played in the past.  The rain held off and there was a nice breeze so it was perfect. We played 3 sets in between performances by two great bands, Na'Bodach and Rant & Roar.

(Unfortunately our camera's batteries died so we didn't get any pics from the festival... if anyone reading this has pics or video from the show, please send them our way or post them here as a comment. Thanks!)

Next shows are at Mulrooney's in Wilmington DE late May, and then we're headed for WV & OH first weekend of June!  See you there!

Don't ignore me.

I'm in between that rock
And that hard place,
Teetering between formality and
Obsession,
Tight rope walking
On the border between
Polite and
Overbearing.
It's just southern hospitality
To offer a place to stay.
Don't take it the wrong way.
How hard do I have to work
Until my jealousy transforms to vanity?
A broken commandment traded in
For a deadly sin?
Caught within a vortex,
An inferiority complex,
A mental block,
A writer's death mark.
In limbo between
Admiration and
Jealousy.
There are many people who want
To be
Me.
But I would much rather be
You.

Current mood:  nostalgic
White bells and conch shells
Bright lights wishing me well.
All the obscenities of a beautiful life
Falling down cold at my feet.

Thought I saw a ghost today, delivering
Mistaken messages, misread signs.
(Remember the time you left me that voicemail?)
I drunk dialed your heart.
My call was intercepted by your mind.

"Let us make a pact to find on the other side
The life we thought we'd have in this life."
Yearning for reincarnation, and the map
That shows how our paths will cross again.
