Hello everyone!
Yes we have been quiet lately, but that's all about to change again!
We finished filming the clip for Rule of Three which will be out in a couple of months...
And yes we lost a couple of members (to babies and 9-5 and credit cards), but Brad and I have knuckled down with some amazing creatures lately and we'll be playing again in about a month so stay tuned!
We're busy saving up like crazy to get to Europe mid next year and fingers crossed the US late next year!!!
Help us out by going to our web store and checking out some of our merch :)

Current mood: blah
I've been trying to find the on/off switch lately for my brain, but i'm not sure where it's located... A friend told me to think of everything that happened in my day backwards when i go to sleep. But lately there has been no desire to sleep... My eyes won't shut until the sun starts to come up... is there something wrong with me? I'm dreaming of washing my hair over and over again and then i'm surrounded by empty shampoo bottles and the steam is incredible... I want to quit smoking.
We're about to start touring our Album S.O.S around Australia and we can't wait to see all of our friends and fans in other cities and towns again and play for you all! All the dates are up on the myspace and a few more are being added here and there :)
There's so many wonderful things happening in Mz Ann Land at the moment...
The CD will be available Australia wide in stores in April and on itunes too... we'll keep you posted :)
I've become deliciously ear obsessed with IAMX please check out his myspace! It makes my spine tingle especially the song "Spit it Out"
We're playing with Hanzel und Gretyl (USA) later this year so stay tuned for that one!
We're still working on our doco dvd which will hopefully be release around sept!
Miller has almost finished building his own studio at home and it looks amazing! I'm so proud of him! It's going to be amazing recording in our own studio at our own pace...
My friday night club @ Club 77 on williams st in Darlinghurst Sydney is re-opening under a new name... "JUST?" on the 27th March and i'll be running it with two beautiful friends of mine, the myspace celebrity/beauty Skarlett and the silly yet wonderful Clay! More details on that to come ;)
Do any of you have any advice on how I can quit smoking and start sleeping?
Much love xox Mzzy

Current mood: sleepy
What if Rubiks cubes were the puzzle boxes from Hellraiser? What if iPods became self-aware? What if Jean Claude van Damme made a TV series about a flatulent, crime fighting cat? What if every household was run like Big Brother? What does any of this have to do with Mz Ann Thropik and their debut album? Nothing, but… What if Siouxsie and the Banshees, after releasing The Scream, decided to follow a faster, heavier path to complement their dark and ethereal music? What if Babes In Toyland never disbanded, but became a more coherent and accessible, yet equally angry, musical force? What if Marilyn Manson never became totally self-indulgent and still had the vitality and passion of his first album? What if Ministry evolved to create a more harmonious, pulse pounding sound, rather the unrelenting, aural barrage of their final albums? Would any these sound like the new album from Mz Ann Thropik? Or would, in some way, all of them? S.O.S. is a rollercoaster ride through wonderland. It starts slowly, with distress calls from fans and a short, atmospheric remix; before lurching from John Woo style smoothness and brutality, to Ray Harryhausen like jumpy excitement, to Tobe Hooper anger and pain, to David Lynch love and desire, to songs for films that have never been made. Mz Ann Thropik have never been a band to hold anything back, and they let it all flow on 17 tracks that could be the soundtrack to their lives. If there was a soundtrack to my life, it would more like Woody Allen and star a less amusing version of Hugh Grant. I’m glad I can escape my own movie and spend a little time in world of Mz Ann Thropik.

Mz Ann Thropik S.O.S
III Nobody Move Queen 222 Cock-o-Roach V Witch Hunt Mordelia Jane the Ripper A Skin Tornado M Rule of Three Flesh Crawler P S.O.S ...---...
There you have it :) The tracks on the album finally revealed!!! Not even two weeks to go and the whole album will be up on our myspace for your listening pleasure!!!
Here are some secrets about the songs:
Queen 222 222 is the number of a door located somewhere in the world... I've found myself walk through it twice now by total coincidence.
Skin Some of the lyrics to this song were written by Brad and Mzzy by accident via text message one day, many moons ago...
Rule of Three Not only does everything happen in threes, but... For some strange reason Mz Ann Thropik are ruled by the number 3 No matter what we do
III In numerology all the first names of Mz Ann Thropik members add up to the number 3
Flesh Crawler This was the last song we wrote for this album, only a few weeks before it was recorded
S.O.S Listen closely to the bridge in this song... what do you hear?
Mzzy records all her vocals in complete darkness, it's the only way she can conjure up the past and its emotions.
The interludes on this recording were re-mixed by Miller using old Mz Ann Thropik songs.
