Well, they've rescheduled the Buckcherry show once again, and this time we won't be able to attend.  Our apologies to our fans who had planned on coming, or had already bought tickets.  Your tickets are still good on the new date.  If you'd like a refund instead, contact us (860-204-1778) or the Webster Theater Box Office (860-246-8001).

Don't fret though, Jungle People.  We'll be right in Downtown Hartford at The Brickyard on June 24th, so you can catch your groove then.

Stay cool

As you all know, Buckcherry got sick and couldn't make it on 4/20.  All tickets will be honored by the Webster sometime in (probabally) July, so hold on to 'em.  We'll post the rescheduled date as soon as we are made aware of it.

Hope your 4:20 was full of beer and cheer.  I'm sure it was more fun than Buckcherry was having.  =)  Rock on, people.

We want to thank our friends Material Force for having us out a Martini's last weekend.  It was a real blast.  Great vibe and strong drinks, to boot.  Adam and Amy, our stalwart companions drove all the way down 95 to join us, and we met some new friends, too.  BTW, we'll be back in the area at the Daniel St., Milford, just up the road on Thursday, April 6 at 930.  (I might have mistakenly said March 31st to some of you, but that's in NEW Milford.)   Come party!

Just a reminder to all of you Buckcherry fans out there, we've got our tickets in for the 4/20 show (Yeah, that's right) at the Webster Theater, Hartford.  Call us for tickets (860-204-1778, ask for Jeff) and info, or do the online store thing at www.naughtyjungleoflove.com and either way you'll get our discount, and help support your funky friends.  And oh, yes. . . the Jungle is gonna smoke some pot.  8)

Oh, like you didn't already know. . .

Rock on, party people,

Geez it feels like a long time since the last news update.  Must be because so much stuff has gone on.  Well, let's just jump into the meat of this.

Bart's tenor sax tracks are done.  Everybody's put forth a great effort.  Shawn still has some solos to lay down, because we were working on getting Bart before he left, but that shouldn't take very long.  Next up, bass guitar -- Drew and Jon will be recording together for that live vibe.  Will keep you updated about that.

New Year's Eve was off the hook!  I'm really glad it was a success, especially because we wanted to give Bart a good sendoff.  Yes, people, that's his last Jungle gig for about 18 months.  We all had a teriffic time.  I don't think anyone was expecting Lefty Magoos' owner Dave to open the bar, but he did.  Joy!  Joy!  We toasted before midnight, durring and after midnight.  We toasted Bart.  We toasted Dave, the bar, and the barstaff.  We toasted each other.  We got toasted!!!  For all the details we forgot, you'll have to ask our friends Adam and Amy at the next show.

Bart will be shipping off to North Carolina to stage for his departure to Afghanistan.  Of course we all wish him the best, and hope that he carries our love (and our funk) wherever he goes.  If you wish to send him fanmail, etc. in his absence, we will do our best to forward it all to him.  Even though 18 months is not forever, we'll all miss him terribly while he's gone.

On a lighter note, I (Jeff) will be joining WHUS's DJ Lattitude this Friday (1/6) at 1PM.  I'll be promoting the Wailers show, (and the rest of our schedule) and performing solo on acoustic guitar.   So get your tape recorders ready -- I want bootlegs!  You can catch us as far west as Bristol and Old Saybrook.  If you don't already listen to college radio, you don't know what your missing.  Tune in to 91.7 FM WHUS Storrs this Friday at 1 and you'll get a taste of the Jungle.

And finally, Naughty Jungle of Love is proud to welcome Banooba to New London, CT!  They'll be down at the Oasis this Friday, and I can tell you they just friggin slam the jams.  If you haven't heard these guys, give them a listen -- they're on our top 8 for your convenience.  And they've never come so close to YOU CT!  If you like what you hear, and you're thirsty for more, we'll be traveling to their neck of the woods Sat, Jan 20 to play Da Funky Phish in Bay Shore, Long Island, NY.  Our friends Lewd Buddha will be there too, and we gonna have a party (It's only a ferry ride away.)

Alright folks, that just about wraps it up.  I hope to see you real soon.  If you weren't at Lefty's then I hope you had a Happy New Year.  (If you were, I know you did).  Until then,

Stay Naughty, people!

Bart and Shawn will spend most of today laying down tracks, having enjoyed a couple of days off for Christmas.  Rumor has it that they're at the halfway point, and are in good shape to finish this week.  Andrew will also be coming by to lay down the ending of Larissa (yes, Will, you read that correctly.  Larissa should be on this album too)  and to work on our redonkulous subwoofers.

Will try to keep you posted on the goings on of NJLMusic.  Although I'm enjoying some time out of the studio myself, I do check in on the fellas to make sure they're still breathing.  Hope everyone had a great Christmas, and is looking forward to a Happy New Year!  We'll be celebrating down at Lefty Magoo's in Newington.

See you there!

Hey everybody.  As we emerge, blinking, into the sunlight (and try to ready ourselves to play NYC tonight) I am most optomistic about this album.  We're starting with 14 solid tracks -- some old, some brand spankin' new (we're writing 3 in the stuido) some funky, some blues.  Actually, they're all pretty funky.

Scott did teriffic work, and Jon did a great job recording him.  Saxes are next.  I'll do my best to keep you updated on that.  Until then, we aren't slowing down our show schedule.  I'll see ya tonight at Kenny's Castaways, and next week at The Space and Plan B.

Funky XXX-Mas to all.

Saturday, December 17, 2005

With a refreshing 11 hours of sleep (thank the funk god!) I'm back in the studio in Bristol, and Scott is laying down drum tracks.  Since Jon started setting up the studio to record on Sunday, we've got good takes of at least 7 songs -- just past the halfway mark.  We've also overcome an array problems that defy any attempt to count them.  Thankfully, we never seem to run out of solutions.

We're very hopeful that the drums will be finished this weekend, so that we can get the saxes in next week.  We will only briefly pause to play Kenny's Castaways in Manhattan on Sunday.  I expect to be rested, ready to funk out, and done with my phase of the recording process for awhile.  Get ready New Yawk -- the Jungle's comin' to town, and so are our friends ISL.

See you all there.  Till then, stay warm and dry.

Well, I finally have the tickets in my hand.  We'll be opening for The Wailers at the Webster Theater on Saturday, Jan 7.  Doors @ 6.  I imagine we're going to do quite well as last time, and therefore our set will be later and very much on the main stage.  Remember. . . this is a reggae show. . . so you know what that means.  8)

Tickets through us are $18.  They will be $22 at the door.  email naughtyjungle@hotmail.com or call me (Jeff) at 860-204-1778.  Don't be shy -- I travel a lot, and will probabally be in your area anyway, so I don't mind stopping by with tickets.  For directions to the Webster, which is located on 31 Webster St., Hartford, CT, go to www.webstertheater.com

Remember -- buying your tix through us supports da funk, and puts us on the main stage.  It's also cheaper more convenient for you! Our price -- $18. . . CHEAP!  Thanks to everyone who came out for us last time.  You rule.  Bring yer friends.
