This is an encore presentation of the Public Image Ltd 30th anniversary special I produced for Pirate Cat Radio's show The Longplaya that airs Sundays 10pm-midnight, 1 record/2 hours. It was co-hosted by Alex from Post Punk For Post Punks and features interviews I recorded for this program from former PIL members Jah Wobble [bass], Martin Atkins [drums] and Richard Dudanski [drums]. The music played on this program is sourced from an original pressing of Metal Box [3 12" EPs in a 16mm film canister]. This show originally broadcast in March of 2009, since then John Lydon has "reunited" PIL to do a short UK tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of Metal Box. The shows will feature songs from throughout PILs entire history and sadly the line-up does not include any Metal Box era players. For more info on PIL see their new official site:

Old school is the new rule as I'm bombarded by first wave founding members and those who documented the genesis of the punk scene. Then the staff of Target Video and first wave punk photog Ruby Ray invade in the studio to set us hip to Punk Passage the ongoing Ruby Ray show and Nov. 4th Target Video screening at the SF Library. Lastly Flipper drummer Steve DePace dropped by ... not sure why, guess he just knows where the action is? That kids got promise I tells ya - REMEMBER WHEN > THEN DOWNLOAD !!!!
