on tuesday january 12th, 2010 a massive earthquake hit the island of haiti.

the island where both my parents were born. 

the island where a lot of my family still resides.

the island i've come to know and love.

it's been two days and thankfully we've been able to hear positive news about some of our family members.

my father's sister and entire family are well and their house is still erect.

my grandmother and cousins on my fathers side are doing just fine as well.

i still have some cousins on my mothers side that are still unaccounted for.

it's the not knowing that's the hardest part.

all forms of communication are down, so it's hard to contact anyone.

we've tried calling, texting, facebooking etc.

all we can do now is hope and pray and i ask you to please do the same for my family.

and for everybody in haiti at this time and for the years to come.

this little island has been through so much and doesn't deserve this.

but we're a strong people and will get through this i am certain.

if you haven't already, i urge you to text "haiti" to "45678" and donate $5 to the canadian red cross in support of haiti.

that $5 will save a life.

there's nothing i can say about this movie that hasn't been said.
honestly, the best movie i think i have seen in my life time.
i saw it on sunday and am still constantly thinking about.
so i thought i would just write a blurb and confess my love for james cameron.
he gave me titanic and now he gave me avatar.
and for that, i will name my first born son james...
and when i say son i mean fish.

anyways,
i shouldn get back to this enthralling online lecture about the 'meaning of life' through the eyes of nialists...
apparently to them, life has no meaning and nothing matters.
sucks to be them.

i have NO resolutions really this year other than getting two fish and remaining myself.
i will continue to volunteer, work hard in both school and the 'tage and my 'extracurricular' events [lol] and to keep my priorities in check!

in 2010, i just want to be happy and make myself and the parental unit proud.
if i can do that, i'll dub 2010 a successful year.
