NHRD Winter Recruit 2008 - 09

Our Recruitment are now open to potential Rollergirls - come join now for the 2009 NH Roller Derby Season! Learn all the things you will need to do to Join the greatest sport in the known universe!

Your New Hampshire Roller Derby girls raised over $1,000.00 towards the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center (thank you all who sponsored us for this walk)  We did the 5K as a "skate" for change...  We were so happy to have our friends in the Boston Derby Dames skate with us.  Thank you Pussy Venom for the pre-walk donuts.  The walk was inspirational and amazing and just makes us want to continue to find worthy charities that we can help.  These people at the BARCC give selflessly everyday to fight against sexual violence and we are so happy and honored we could be a part of their event.

...Afterwards, a few of us girls went down to the Frightfest haunted houses to act as Evil Roller Skating Clowns for their 2008 promo and commercials and stuff!  We have so much fun there, and seeing a little halloween in April is always welcome for the Skate Free or DIE girls!  The Haunted Houses are amazing!  The place is HUGE, and it’s right in Nashua, NH!   We also skated a little zombie love out for the "Skate Free or Die Rollergirls" team.  It’s fitting.  We’re the undead Roller Derby league after all.

Your favorite Skate Free or Die Rollergirls are walking in the Annual 5K walk for change to benefit the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center(or BARCC)

This is such an exciting time for the girls of New Hampshire Roller Derby, as this is our first official Charitable event.  We started this Roller Derby league not only to play the sport, but in following in the footsteps of the many amazing DIY charitable leagues all over the country- to do something bigger than ourselves and be a poisitive influence to women everywhere and to the communities we live in. 

Please help support our cause, even if it’s $2... or $1000!!

They are an amazing group of trainers in the Manchester area who have been WHIPPING us into shape!  If you are looking for a no fuss way to get in shape, these guys will work you hard, but you will look and feel fit in no time!  No  wasting time at the gym with workouts that yield little or no results! (ha!  I just sounded like an infomercial!  but it's true...)   They've been keeping us motivated and sweating and we've been accomplishing things we could only imagine we could do!  We will be some strong rollergirls because of Fitwise!
