So Christmas worked our fairly well, thanks for everyone's patience and understanding with the homemade gifts! I got lots of lovely things and big thank you hugs for all!
New Year's has come and gone and except for that minor hair burning experience in Christine's bathroom it was great fun. We won't comment on the bowl game we watched but I will say that hanging out was great. Thanks Christine for hosting!
It looks like Michael might have a job (*crosses fingers*), and I've had an interview with a company I'd be interested in. I think I'm off to a job fair in the morning so we shall see what becomes of that. I've been having problems seeing due to excessive blurriness that ends up giving me a headache by the eveningtimes. I'm sure that makes me cranky. Anyway, finally decided I HAD to run get them checked regardless of money and bounced off after lunch to the eye doctor. Evidently I just need a new prescription and there are no signs of anything bad caused by the diabetes. But I did learn a few things, and we all know that a day where you learn something is a day worth getting out of bed for. Anyway, I am now off to pick up some new glasses and see if I can actually, well, you know.. see.. :)
You guys all have an awesome day! *huggles around*

Here we are one week until Christmas and I and all the other poor people in the world are rushing like crazy to finish up making and baking and getting our giftage all together. At least all the rehearsals and performances are done. While I was super depressed to have spent 3 months learning the WADCS music only to miss the 2 performances with bronchitis and the flu, I did still get to sing in the Church Chancel Choir contata on Sunday. I thought it sounded pretty good, if I do say so myself. lol The weather is really confusing though, one day its in the 30's and raining, the next it's in the 70's and cloudy. I'd be perfectly happy with sunny and really cold personally. Job search, still sucks but I'm keeping at it until I find one. That is, unless one of you men out there want to submit your applications for sugar daddy. :) Lets see .. Congratulations to Jason and Amanda on the birth of their lovely son, Good Luck to Michael as he looks for a job too, Best Wishes to Skootie in this basketball season, and ... if I'm not back and chatty beforehand.. all of you guys have a wonderful enjoyable but safe Christmas and may the new year bring us all the things we need! *hugs around*

So, for those of you wondering where a million people in the world have been for the last week, Wrath of the Lich King came out last Wednesday night at midnight and all the addicts have been clocking their game time. My little guild has been having over 20 people a night logged in to see what fantastic new gear and experiences can be found adventuring through the new content. Ok.. I'll stop sounding like a commercial for the game now. lol. But seriously, it's been pretty fun. My Druid is 77 and almost through 5 of the new zones. Michael had vacation and we are having fun leveling together. Matt is just ahead of us and Drew, Christine and Ratto not far behind. We did the new Ring of Blood last night and I got an awesome spell damage mace. I haven't replaced as much of my gear as I was hoping, but all the same, the drops are getting closer to what I have and I'm excited about the end game.
Having completed some 400+ quests in the last 5 days, lets see what sticks out. Drop quests, still suck. Crowds and waiting on spawns suck. But for the most part people are willing to party and keep things moving. The rare ass of course is to be found, but fortunately we've only experienced a few people that can't either wait their turn or want to be jerks. Some of the quests are just awesome and the graphics are amazing. Some of the new 'techniques' are cool. You get to drive a tank, fly dragons and control them, be a shredder and even take control of others mounts on occasion. Michael liked the quest where you strap yourself into a machine gun and kill scourge in masse. I suppose anyone that knows me isn't surprised when I say that so far I really like the Dragonblight and doing the quests for the Dragon Aspects. lol
The new professions stuff is interesting too and I want to see where that goes when we all take some time off from leveling and run those up.
Still looking for a good job, and getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas. So all my time is busy. The WADCS performance is just 2 weeks from today and my Choir is singing Sunday the 14th. Is it really only just over a month til Christmas?
All righty guys, I'm gonna go make something and watch a movie I think until I can finish up my project leveling Nia.. Have an awesome day and I'll catch you all later! *Big Hugs*

I hope you all had a great Halloween! We went to a fabulous party hosted by Jarrod, Ratto and Tommy. Be sure and check out the pictures from the festivities if you haven't! Dressed up and hung out and had a great time. It was nice to get to meet some of the people that we game with and finally get to associate a real person with what we learn about them online. :)
Saturday we drafted some magic cards and it was awesome to have James, Tommy and Ratto come hang out here and eat pizza and spend the day chilllin'. Although I didn't really get the cards I wanted, it was still a fun afternoon. Although, if it could go wrong it did, but we still got almost everything done and a good look at some of the cards we would never have played with it we didn't draft them. I think there are a couple new decks to be seen from it all anyway.
So it's November and we are getting on into Thanksgiving and Christmas season. What would that all mean if I didn't have a cold? Seems to always happen about now.. lol. I'm sure lots of hot tea and the appropriate rest and I'll be fine. Got to be in the next week so I'll be ready for the wrath of the lich king. rofl.
Remember everyone to get out and vote tomorrow! Have a great week! *hugs all around - just don't get close enough to catch my cold!*

So, it's patch day and I'm excited. I hope they are doing everything they have been teasing us with for this one. Nia's been grinding out alliance rep for a couple weeks, and after borrowing 36 stacks of runecloth and grinding out a quick (yea, right) 13 more last night hit exalted with 4/5 factions. I'm now the proud owner of 50 mounts, just in time for the new patch and the opportunity to pick up the new reward albino drake for accomplishing 50 mounts. Don't think you can get to 50? I have 1 turtle, 6 darnasuss pussies and one battle cat, 6 ironforge rams and one brewfest ram, 6 stormwind ponies, 6 exodar elecks, 6 netherwing drakes, 8 kurnei talbuks, 7 wildhammer griffons and 2 skyguard netherrays. Getting all that rep was actually fun, especially the ones that I didnt grind out alone! What an awesome guild I'm in, how can I not help but love all those guys? I didn't even have to buy all of the available ones. And I cant use the current engineering ones. And with all those and the new ones, I'm still ultra excited about the ability to make a flying carpet from being a tailor and getting an engineer to make me a motorcycle. Where is the pattern for sexy black leather jacket? lol.
Simba seems to have come through his surgery well, although he's a bit more of a momma's boy than he used to be. Which is just fine by me! His hair is starting to grow back and the area around where his stiches were looks way better. I still keep myself busy looking for a job, and helping Michael look for a house and run numbers and estimates on repairs is a fun way to spend an afternoon. I've got several projects going as well. I'm doing a little crocheting and of course with the extension deadline coming up I've got taxes to make my brain keep active. It's been really nice to catch up on reading and things. I believe that when I get a new job, I'll actually start taking my vacation and sick time and spending more time for myself. What you guys think?
I hope all is well with everyone! Big hugs for all and I'll try not to be such a stranger in the future. We'll see how that works out! lol :) Guess I'm gonna grab a bit of lunch and finish up a tax return now!

Wow guys.. is it really after Labor Day? Where did the summer go? I can't complain, but I'm not sure I'm ready to throw the top back up and put my windows on. Eh, it is Georgia and I guess I still got lots of time for running about like a wild child. lol.
The weekend was good. Spent some time at Michael's with his family celebrating the fall birthdays. Got to be a Wii-tard for the first time ever and enjoyed it. Learned to play bridge and schooled Michael and his brother - or they let us win, either way it was most enjoyable and an all around good time. Got to spend a little time with Jason & Amanda Saturday night, which was cool. First time I'm seen them since they found out they were pregnant so that was very nice too. Celebrated their first year of marriage and are doing well. Got home and had some double shots of tequila to start the celebrating off right. When are double shots not a good way to start things off? Sunday was for church, raiding and the start of the drinking. Finished that up Monday and tossed some brats on the grill and played some magic. All in all a most enjoyable time.
Still looking about for a job. Had a couple interviews but still looking for something that I really want to do. In the meantime, I've made tremendous progress on the house remodeling thanks to David getting the extra bedroom repainted. It is awesome - bright gold with black trim and white furniture. Can't get better than that now can you? Michael helped me move furniture and I'm rearranging knick-knacks and cleaning so things are starting to shape up marvelously.
Chorale started tonight and then we start working tomorrow night on my Choirs christmas contata. Guess it really is that time. For the record, time just flies, you don't have to be having fun.. lol
Hope things are great all over with everyone! Hope to have some positive things to say about a job soon! *huggles and nomage around*

We all made it home safe and sound from our adventure. I suggest if you don't recognize that title you should rewatch that foxy Robin Hood for some good laughs. Disney was great. We all had a blast and enjoyed ourselves completely. I ain't never had too much fun. I'll post pictures in my albums so you can all enjoy some of the silliness. Lots of great stories that you will have to talk to me to hear, but I will share one. While at Epcot, we were shopping in the cool tea shop (we all LOVE teas and teapots and such). I had paid for my stuff and was standing outside waiting on the others when the cutest little old couple walked out of the shop talking. What I overhear the cute little old British man tell his wife is this, "I know what we should do, lets buy 10 lbs of tea and go over to the American side and dump it in the water." While people get on my nerves and I hate crowds, I do love to people watch. If you imagine that senario, you will laugh like we did. It was wonderful to meet Matt and get to spend time with him. I get the impression Sarah thinks the same thing. ^ ^ Christine took awesome photos and we Vick girls thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Kudos to Matt for putting up with it. (I think he liked it too though.) Here's to good friends!
Anyway, it was a nice relaxing vacation and now I'm back here unemployed and looking for work. I did have an interview today for a job I applied for yesterday so maybe something will come up soon. It's cool with me if everyone wants to keep their fingers crossed. :) Ok.. I'm off to post some pictures, apply for more jobs and hit the gym. Doesn't it sound like I'm putting my time to good use? Well, maybe I'll get more than those things listed above accomplished. lol
Have a lovely week guys! *hugs around*

To commemorate her 69th birthday, actress/vocalist, Julie Andrews made a special appearance at Manhattan 's Radio City Music Hall for the benefit of the AARP. One of the musical numbers she performed was 'My Favorite Things' from the legendary movie 'Sound Of Music'. Here are the lyrics she used: (Sing It!) - If you sing it, its especially hysterical!!! Botox and nose drops and needles for knitting, Walkers and handrails and new dental fittings, Bundles of magazines tied up in string, These are a few of my favorite things.
Cadillacs and cataracts, hearing aids and glasses, Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses, Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings, These are a few of my favorite things.
When the pipes leak, When the bones creak, When the knees go bad, I simply remember my favorite things, And then I don't feel so bad.
Hot tea and crumpets and corn pads for bunions, No spicy hot food or food cooked with onions, Bathrobes and heating pads and hot meals they bring, These are a few of my favorite things.
Back pain, confused brains and no need for sinnin', Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinnin', And we won't mention our short shrunken frames, When we remember our favorite things.
When the joints ache, When the hips break, When the eyes grow dim, Then I remember the great life I've had, And then I don't feel so bad.

I know you all hold your breath wondering what is going on with me, so I thought I might drop a couple lines and keep you posted. With only 3 closings in the year 2008, and the market unlikely to turn in the next couple weeks, my boss has decided that he has paid employees as long as he can. Unless things change, August 1 I will no longer be reporting for duty 2 days a week and will have even more time on my hands. I learned this last week, and I have again stepped up the job search (more meaning I am looking daily again). While it upset me to finally happen, in it's own way it's relieving because I really didn't want to find something new about the time it got busy again. Given my druthers, I have loved my time there and I would always stay given the option. Eh, but I had already lined things up to live on the lower wages, so I will be fine until I can line up something new. If anyone has some suggestions, please feel free to let me know. In the meantime, I'll have even more time to hit the gym on the mornings I'm not at work. In my positive vein, maybe it will all work out to have been an awesome opportunity to make some changes.
In other news, Neerajia has tanked all of Kara and even part of Gruul's so she's finally all grow'd up. Nia finally got the Black Battle Tiger from Pvp'ing because what she really needed was a new mount. ^ ^. Charita is 45, and working on getting her to 70 so that I can pick all those pretty outland flowers. Glad Skoot's back from Hawaii safe, and hoping that Mek makes it back from his trip accident free as well. Best news of all - our wait for Tip to come back is winding to a close as well. His safe return from his deployment will most definately be an answered prayer.
Ok guys, I'm off to get something accomplished. Hope you all have a great week! *big hugs around*
