Nobody knows what will happen but this man is so hopeful with his message. I know that if he wins he'll have a long hard fight ahead, maybe harder than any US pres in history and so many will try to sabatoge him and make him out a fraud, but honestly when was the last time a candidate was able to inspire people this way since JFK?

And folks, whoever you support and chose to vote for, just get out and exercise your right to do so.... YES WE CAN!!!

"People's lives are delicate; you can not interfere with them without running the risk of changing them profoundly. A chance remark, a careless involvement, may make the difference between a life of happiness and one of sorrow."
-From "The Kalahari Typing School for Men" by Alexander McCall Smith

What has this quote to do with love and hate, you might be wondering? I just read this book and for some reason this statement keeps coming back to me, has jumped onto my train of thought out of nowhere and completely caught me off guard. All week since I finished reading this book this statement keeps coming to me and I think I've just figured out why.

Is it possible to love someone and also hate them? I'm not sure, but I think I've managed to accomplish this. I loved someone deeply for the bulk of my adult life, I love them still, probably always will. But I am just beginning to realize how much I also hate them. I think I've known for sometime though it is clearly difficult to admit hate, most espeacially for someone you love.

I guess it's not the person I hate so much as the careless manner in which he's dealt with me. My life is forever changed because of it and I wonder will I ever be able to forgive it.

Of course I am not the first, last or only person to be let down by love. We go thru life, we have ups, downs & in-betweens, and if we're lucky we can find some amount of contentment, if not joy. I can't complain much, I've been blessed with many gifts and even still, some things I've taken for granted. We learn and adjust ourselves to life as we grow. I've lived enough at this point to recognize how relevant is this simple statement of Mr. McCall Smith. We should be more aware of our affect on other's lives. This is no small undertaking, but important non the less.

...they're'll be pancakes for you in the morning."

First off, I think it important to note "they're'll".

Now, this statement has been in my head for sometime as I've seen it frequently enough on the bathroom wall of Boat. Y'all know the Boat. Or at least some of you do. But does anyone have any idea of what this actually means:

"If you don't follow your dick home, they're'll be pancakes for you in the morning."

I should also note that this bathroom wall is full of ramdom scratchings. This particular tag is fading fast but still the most striking I've seen to date & is rather fitting for this somewhat raunchy venue.

"If you don't follow your dick home, they're'll be pancakes for you in the morning."

Notice the double contraction.

And who will supply the pancakes?

Alice Coltrane has died at 69.
May her beautiful spirit rest well and I personally thank her for the gift of music she left behind.
Blessings.

The funny thing is, this racist bullshit doesn't personally affect me as it once did. It only degrades him and exposes his ass for what he truly is. I'm African American and it would seem this type of asshole and his disgusting comments would really piss me off, same with Mel Gibson or any other racist idiot. In fact, I think it's sad but also kind of funny. This was his best, probably most honest, and maybe his last performance. This funnyman has completely wrecked his career. Good for you Mr. Richards, good job! I think it so much better when folks are honest about who they really are.

Now, sit Ubu, sit. Good boy. Go make your fake ass apology, and twist yourself up in knots, waiting to see where it gets you. That's when you'll learn the real power of your own ignorance. Bliss?

I hope you never work another day in your life. You took us back to the days of lynchings and pitchforks. You can't even pull the drunk card. And I'm sure Mel thanks you bunches too. You have out done his triflin' ass by light years.

Peace folks!

Quite a few of you have visited my page, listened to 'wah-o', and then sent a message asking "What does 'wah-o' mean?"

First, Thanks for listening.

'Wah-o' means 'love'. Simple.

I have a tendency to make up words, in fact, I've made up a whole language. When we were writing the song it just came to me. Somethings just hit me that way. The song is about love.

And so.... "I. Face another day. Givin' it to you..."

Get your lazy ass up and vote! Yeah, I said it: GET YOUR LAZY ASS UP & VOTE! If for no other reason than IT'S YOUR RIGHT, EXERCISE IT OR DON'T SAY SHIT ABOUT ALL THE TRIFLINNESS THAT'S BEEN RUNNIN' AMUCK! Alot of folks had to die in this country so that alot of others could have the RIGHT to vote. Vote for that. Vote however you choose, JUST DO THE DAMN THING!

On music. Peace to all the folks that rocked out last night at Kili. It was a rare night of musical greatness, one of those things you just happen on. I went to the bar down the street from my house where they've been doing a Tuesday open mic for the past couple years, now hosted by Tasneem of Jungli (check out her band at www.myspace.com/jungli). Like all good open mics it has it's waves of nights that are full of undefined noise, which has it's place, of course. Then there are nights like last, full of clear talent and the simple desire to be heard. A couple of the usual suspects came thru & blessed (Kierstan Gray, Ranjit), then a skewer of fresh meat came in the form of poetess Ayima, songbird Ellie Lawson, a tapdancing dj and his two tapdancing sirens, and some other spoken word Amazon that was just plain fierce. Unfortunately, I didn't catch everyone's name, I can only attest to the 2-3 hour blessing of music and energy I happened upon while on a mission to find trees to climb. I know this is happening in local bars worldwide and it re-enforces for me idea of artistic independence, expression, and freedom. Folks get out there and share their gifts, and yeah, there's tons of crap out there but there are still some treats to be had, and somehow I get my share. I didn't find those trees last night but I was still climbing... ONE! Links: Keirstin Gray Ellie Lawson
