I found this and thought it to be hilarious. It's technically not forgery seeing that they flipped the image, put in some red, and lost the fish.

I find it to be very appropriate to talk about pirates right now. There be many  versions out in today's modern society. I have officially become an internet pirate, and just wanted to share the joy! Took me a full day, but I now have all the programs to play whatever game I could ever want to play and it feels soooo good. So good that I haven't even touched my work in 3 days. BitTorrent is just such a wonderfully horrible sad sad thing.

I am now officially an "artist enthusiast". I could of told you that and kept the 40 dollars.

It feels good to be home, amongst my childhood things. My parents found an Evangeline wall scroll an old boyfriend bought me years ago, and it's just sittin' on my vanity. The new house is fine- though I am sure I'll feel at ease no matter where they live. Last night's sedar went pretty well. It shocked my dad that I took the role of leader, however. To me, it was given- I've been teaching sunday school for 2 years now, and am the only one who still goes to temple. Regardless, the whole thing took something like 2 hours, including dinner, and was over by 9 (by protest of an antsy brother). Short and sweet. We didn't even sing Dianuh, but the highlight of the whole thing was how my niece read the four questions (and even one of them in hebrew!). I was so proud of her- she helped us cook the dinner, decorated a matzah box for us, and practiced all afternoon with me to make sure she got the words right. Really, she is such a smart little person.

It's an odd thing how I act/feel coming home every three months. The behavior is the same as when I was in college (as if I still am in college). For the short week-maybe 2- I sleep in, gossip with my mom for hours, but more importantly is the show-and-tell that seems to happen. It's the whole "I did this while I was away!" thing- my paintings, what
shows I've been in, who seen my work, and now- how close am I to making
this a career. This is the time where I update my website/blog with the work I've done in the past three months. So- this is what I've done in the past three months:

This painting showed at the femme fest show for a month. The show was great- my painting was considered one of the best (though controversial. The board members were not to friendly on the lesbian angle).

I'm surprised this painting didn't sell. This was featured at the BSI show, which is now half up and half at my house. There might be a potential buyer for it, if not, it'll be a dry run sell on e-bay. For a while I've been wanting to try e-bay out, and I think this particular piece will do well.

Finally! Finally it's finished. My Uncle has been waiting for years for me to paint him something. I honestly started it a week before Hanukkah, thinking it'll be done in time. Well, the painting itself is as big as I am ( it's 4x2 so I have a foot to spare) which is the biggest piece I've worked on so far. So, yeah it took me a little longer then expected.

Jason from BSI invited me to be part of free comic book day. He's offering me a table, which is great (seeing that I do not have to pay a table fee). That'll be on May 2nd. So now apart from everything else that I must do in the next two weeks, getting postcards and posters ready for sale must be added in. Hmm- I hope to get everything done my the 24th!

It has come to my attention that if you google the key words "batgirl panties", my little illustration batgirl panties is the first link to pop up. Ha! Maybe I should do some more panty relatied pictures if people seem to be that interested in them.

April is going to be a busy busy month. Our friend Matt is finally back from Iraq! He's back in the states, but not released from his base yet. We're planning on a huge welcome home weekend blow out, hopefully starting on friday. For starters, going back to the Abita Brewery is a given. Afterwords, we're planning on a craw fish boil- if the budget allows- a few lobsters will sacrifice their lives, as well. Matt will hopefully be coming back home from Iraq only once, so why shouldn't we do things big? He deserves it. Not only because of what he went through in the past year, but he's just generally a sweet guy. So, I'll hopefully recover by time I hop on the plan next Wednesday to led the service that night. It's Passover, and I've decided to go home to celebrate it with
my family (like a good daughter should). It cost me my laptop fund,
though, but the resources I have left behind at my parents house will
make it up. While home, I plan on celebrating both my father's and niece's birthdays, help with the new house, see my brother's new house, update my portfolio, finish TC's web site, order more business cards, send out all the little introduction letters to potential employeers, finish the proposel for my art program, see about quickly applying for the grant money to help pay for my art program, send out for more business cards, and prepare my portfolio for NOLA's comic-con. Ethan and I are staying local this year, rather then going to Chicago (which we love and will miss). We'll make it back there soon enough. Right after the con, we'll be doing an art presentation for the school Ethan's sister works at. It's for the school's Jazz Fest knock-off. Sounds like it'll be a blast. Apart from Ethan and I being there, they'll have musicens, food, and apparently a hallway covered in bobble wrap (I can not wait to role around in a hallway covered in bobble wrap). The parents who send their kids to this school are prime canidates for my art program, so I'm excited to be meeting them.

Then it'll be May, and I'll wonder what happened to April.

Things have been going up and down for me lately. One of my paintings made it into a show which will be up until mid April. I had a computer job for 3 hours- which is a kinda funny story. I interviewed for this job at a sign company- I was the first to be interviewed for the position and the interviewer/owner of the company apparently loved me. He said it was odd that I was the first to be interviewed, and to be the one he wanted to hire. After we talked for a while, I met the staff, got the tour, and he said he'll call around noon to get whatever else information he needed to start on the working papers for me. The job starts at 8:30. Well, I ended up call him around 3 to go from "be here at 8:30" to "we'll call you tomorrow". Obviously, I never got that call. Oh well- I would of been horrible at the job so I can not be to upset.

That was a month ago.  Since then I started talking with the president of Louisiana Film Studios. He's a nice guy, and it looks like he can find me something.

Teaching is fun right now! My kids are making Purim masks (yes, it was a few weeks ago, but I ended up missing a class and getting behind). We're trying to get ready for the art show, but I just can't find the time to be with each class. Hopefully it'll pull together. I've been talking with Phill about starting a summer art program for Adults. He seems to think it's a great idea! I knew I wanted to open  a studio for a while now, and it's kinda exciting to see my plans take form.

basic run-of-the-mill. I rediscovered my hatred of html and all that is tables.

I hope he picks something like the first two rather these. Maybe I should take a web design class, because I know these programs perfectly, just not the coding. Design, yes, behaviors, no.

I've been marooned in PA for almost a month now. Home's been keeping me somewhat busy- my friend asked me to do some corporate branding for his fledgling business, I'm tinkering with two comics, and actually catching up with my reading (I can read, who knew?)  The sites I'm working for TC are coming out pretty cool (might I add), though they are just roughs. Like all clients, I would imagine, he has no idea what he wants, so I'm throwing a few his way to see what sticks.

http://www.wendywarrelmann.com/tc/casinofinished
http://www.wendywarrelmann.com/tc/treefinished

are the two I have so far, with a link in each featuring a slew of logo ideas/idea on how to present his work

Today, however, I got the funniest commission! Amongst a few other sites, I'm listed in comicartcommission (under painter). It helped bring people to my site, and I did get an actual commission from it (which is grossly over due, and the fact that I'm here in PA not working on it doesn't help matters). Now it seems someone else wants to commission me, but it seems it'll be for my first ever erotic piece! I can't tell if he's a perv or legit. Only time will tell, but I still got a good chuckle. Though I am unsure what he's getting out by saying: "Incidentally, it's quite encouraging to know that you might be "friendly" to use your term, and, therefore,  I hope, pleasant to work with."  I am very friendly- in a polite proffessional- way. Not to friendly, wink wink. Ethan wouldn't be to pleased with me then.

In other news, my first solo show is coming to an end. As far as I know, I sold only three prints (one to a friend, though I didn't put him up to it). It's so sad to think those paintings will be hanging out, taking space, in my studio. Won't anyone take them home?! Money is smaller- more studio friendly.

real quick- paintings are started and going well, getting a bit of credit going, having fun teaching art and Nevilles is getting fat and healthy. Going to voodoo (which will be beyond fun), going home for christmas, and going to get a car soon.

what a horrible horrible week- horrible 2 weeks. Started right before Rosh Hashana and is heading out for a giant train wreck for the rest of this month. A simple thing to point out is just how horrible pet ownership is. I started out with 2 kittens. One died during the holy week just out-of-the-blue. The other is sick, but no one knows why. Doctors say Coccidia, but after looking it up, coccidia doesn't make sense. It HAS to be tapeworms. Or Roundworm. So yes, I'm freaking out that my cat has tapeworms or roundworms and then I'll get it (all sights say it's rare. My luck is so bad, though!) Roundworm can cause brain and eye and god-knows-what-else disorders. Ethan just had to have cats.
