Hello Friends,

I know it's been a while, life keeps distracting me. Don'y worry though, I am definately alive and well and currently working on some new material. I'm hoping to have at least one new song ready for my upcoming gig at the Georgian Theatre, Stockton-on-Tees on November 20th.
I'm also currenty reworking some old stuff (songs from the 70's & 80's). If all goes to plan (that will be a first) I'm hoping to record a new album in 2010. There's life in the old dog yet!

Take care, everyone. Keep in touch.

Nigel.

Hi everyone. Things have been a bit quiet as of late. Sorry about that, I have been distracted by other so called important stuff, but normal service will soon be restored.
I'll be back in the rehearsal room next week and will be working on some new songs. Got loads of stuff in my head that I must get down on paper.
I've put some strings on my 12 string and have been messing about with new sounds.
Also been redescovering the words & music of Alex Glasgow and have been working on a version of Close The Coal House Door. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has recordings of the great man.
Thats all for now.
Take Care,
Nigel x

I was greatly saddened to hear that John Martyn, one of my heroes, has sadly passed away at the young age of 60.
Obviously our thoughts are with his family & those who loved and cared for him.
Thankyou John for the legacy you have left.
Hopefully more people will be introduced to your music.

Thanks for your continous support, you make an oldish man happy.

Thats all for now.

Nigel has just announced that when he plays the Fringe Festival Folk afternoon (02.08.08) at The Georgian Theatre. See www.fringefestival.co.uk He will be playing a set of self penned songs from his old folk club repertoire. This may be the last opportunity for a while that people get to hear many of these songs played live. Nigel says he is really looking forward tp re-engaging with a folk club audience.

Hi everyone,

Many thanks to all of you that turned up for last nights show. I really enjoyed it and was pleased with the response. Once again, a big thanks to all who had nice things to say about it. It was great to be playing to such an attentive audience.

I'm planning a lot more gigs for the autumn, so watch this space. In the mean time you can catch me at the Stockton International Riverside Festival Fringe (Fri 1st Aug @ 4.15pm - Acoustic Stage, Stockton Riverside & Sat 2nd Aug, 12 - 5pm in The Gerorgian Theatre).

See you all soon.

Cheers,

Nigel.
