Thirteen things that I could have blogged about this week, but was busy shaking off a cold...
1. Taylor's party went off without too many hitches. First of all, I thought that a three course meal would only take two hours at the most...four hours later, the girls are still reading the clues and asking questions. Ugh... But in the end most of the girls guessed correctly so it was a definate success!! yeah!
2. Both of my kids were born on the same day in November as some of you may know. And when planning this years parties, I did not think the days through completely. Taylors party was on the actuall birthday, so Bayle felt kind of left out that she was able to open presents and he had to wait. When family started calling to wish them both birthday wishes, he told Brent's mom that "it is not a good birthday." I felt like the worst mom in the world. Memo to self...plan smarter!
3. Amanda's birthday was the 17th and she had gone on a trip with some friends so we had missed celebrating. So Saturday was her day. She did not want a cake so we just lit a candle and she blew it out. Not too much of a splash, but that is what she wanted.
4. Bayle's party was Sunday and it turned out soo much better than I could have hoped. The boys all seemed to enjoy themselves and Monday after picking up Bayle from school, he said that everyone was talking about his party...even Bjorn's mom. Yeah!
5. Is is possible for only one eye to fall asleep??? Sunday afternoon, we came home and cleaned up. But once I sat down, my one eye just closed and I swear that it felt like it fell asleep. It was the weirdest feeling.
6. The next morning I woke up with a cold...blah...nuff said.
7. I also have gotten my first 'growing up' pain in my knee. Growing up I could climb stairs skipping two at a time...NOT anymore!!
8. I bought our first Christmas tree this year. It's a 6 1/2 foot perfectly pretty green spruce tree. Fake of course...too many pine needles the other way. The tree we have had in the past was a shorter tree and through the years, the joints have loosened and it is no longer as bushy as it could be...
9. My Christmas cards are made and some have been passed out...did this Thanksgiving Day. But the rest are still sitting here needing to be addressed and mailed out BEFORE Christmas. That is my one goal for the weekend.
10. The Christmas tree is up, but I have not yet gotten any decorations out. They are in the storage outside that is baracaded by other stuff that needs to be cleared out. That is my second goal for this weekend.
11. There is a song out...it's been out for awhile...called Bazooka Bubble Gum. It's a catchy tune, and the boys love singing it. So when I take Bayle to school, I will play it for him and by association, the little kids that I watch get to hear it too. So yesturday, we are driving down the road and I hear Vivian (a little wisp of a thing who just turned 2) jamming to the music...singing "Bazooka zooka Bubble Gum". I had to pull over, I was laughing so flipping hard.
12. A few more birthday's are coming this month. So Danny boy, if I do not send you a birthday wish...I remembered...just not on the right day. So Happy Birthday buddy!
13. It's only happened maybe three times total, but my cold has recently moved into my eye. Meaning every 5-10 minutes my eye will well up with water and cry it out. And it so happens that this is the same eye that fell asleep on Sunday. lol
Happy TT!
