I AM A CULT HERO supported Noisettes at Dublin's Vicar Street as part of the October tour competiton.  here's their blog:

We first saw the Noisettes perform at the Nottingham Arena (UK) on 17th November 2006, supporting Muse on their UK tour. Although we had never heard of them previously, we immediately admired the Noisettes' energy and the post-punk ethos permeating both their material and live performance. Despite having already been friends for years, by this stage we had not formed the band I AM A CULT HERO, and little did we realise that almost three years down the line we would be supporting the Noisettes at the first sold out show of their UK tour...
We stumbled across the Noisettes' myspace blog post purely by accident one evening in late August, and we almost didn't bother responding to it, as it seemed (at least from our point of view) like the chances of ever being picked were so minimal that it would hardly be worth the effort. This rather defeatist attitude was undoubtedly the result of a summer's worth of less-than-successful gigs in Nottingham which, all in all, had left the two of us doubting whether we even wanted to continue the band into 2010. However, something made us leave a response to the Noisettes' blog post along with some 740 other bands and musicians - and the rest, as they say, is history!
We couldn't believe our eyes when we received the email from Sarah, the Noisettes' management representative asking us to play the Dublin show - however, we very quickly picked ourselves up from the floor and began the not-so-insignificant task of arranging flights, accommodation and rehearsal time. Despite hailing from Nottingham, we had originally put ourselves forward for the Vicar Street show for two main reasons: a) because we never seriously thought we'd be offered the gig (particularly over all the Irish bands and musicians who had requested it); and b) our singer, Seán, is of Irish descent and has family in Dublin, and is always looking for an excuse to go over and visit! Considering such significance, we felt extremely honoured and proud to be asked to play in Dublin, of all places.
Having had a fantastic Mullen family reunion at the Shelbourne Hotel on the Friday night, we approached Saturday 10th October with a mixture of rising excitement and adrenaline. After a leisurely start and a brief run through of the set in the hotel room in Ballymun, we clambered aboard a number 13a bus with all our kit and headed into Dublin city centre. We arrived at Vicar Street in time to watch the Noisettes' soundcheck which, in itself, was amazing. We were then shown to our dressing room (complete with a fridge full of ice cold beer) by Caroline, Vicar Street's production manager, who was extremely kind to us throughout. We soundchecked, had dinner, changed our shirts, and before we knew it 8.30pm had arrived, along with the knock on the dressing room door requesting our presence on stage. The lights dimmed, the audience roared and we played out the most unforgettable thirty minutes of our lives! Seán's Irish cousin Maria and her friend Hilary were watching from the front row, which further heightened the emotional significance of the show. The Vicar Street audience were so warm and responsive - playing to them was a real honour, and we would like to use this opportunity to thank the people of Dublin for their support. So many people came up to us during and after the show, thanking and congratulating us, requesting contact details, photographs with us, and so forth. It was almost surreal - we were being recognised after the gig whilst walking through the streets of Dublin and weren't immediately sure how to react!
As if all this wasn't enough, after our slot we were treated to the best view in the house of the Noisettes' show. They are undoubtedly a fantastic live band and created an electrically-charged atmosphere within Vicar Street. Particular highlights were Shingai's jaw-dropping performance and Dan's guitar - playing at various points with his teeth! During the gig, Shingai spoke to the crowd about never giving up on dreams, which naturally struck a particular chord with us that night.
To summarise: an incredible, incredible night. We will never hear the album 'Wild Young Hearts' in quite the same way again. Finally, we would like to extend our thanks to the following: Aiken Promotions and all the staff and sound crew at Vicar Street, for all their warmth, kindness and hospitality; Sarah Wall and Crown Music Management; all our friends and family (particularly Liam Elliott, Maria Mullen and Hilary King); and finally, Shing, Dan and Jamie for allowing us this awe-inspiring opportunity. Thank you.

"Wow, is all i can say. I was blown away by the whole experience and it has left me wanting more, more, more.

When I got to the anson rooms and saw the set up and heard the equipment i thought OMG but i was soon put at ease by the noisettes manager mark. Me and Rich went off to do a bit more practising and warming up then came the sound check.

I was sharing a dressing room with Mpho and my name was on the door!!!!

What can i say we just went out and did it, the crowd was amazing and made me feel really special and we enjoyed ourselves soooo much. All my friends were in the front row and after we went up to Noisettes dressing room with Mark for a drink we came down and i went to join them to watch Mpho and Noisettes perform ,who were both incredible. My Mum and Dad and friend Jo all had AAA passes so were able to go frontstage and everywhere. It was just great and i loved the whole experience. I just want to thank my mum and dad, rich heard my guitarist, hannah, sarah and mark from crown, emily and her mum, georgia, jan, steve and jo (my photographer!) and of course the awesome noisettes for giving me this fantastic opportunity. And shingai for the great message on my backpack! "

Love tom x

The Noisettes took time out from their own headline touring schedule this weekend to play a massive gig at London’s Wembley arena to a crowd of highly excitable Girl Guides... it might not sound like a wild gig but appearances can be deceptive and after joining the likes of Pixie Lott, JLS, Taio Cruz, Chipmunk and Tinchy Stryder the day turned out to be a cracker after all. Check out a couple of onstage and backstage pics of the band here and here

Plus if you missed it last month head here to see the band’s performance on massive US talk show Ellen where they performed ‘Never Forget You’ as part of their latest US bound assault.

Tour support competition winners for Newcastle were Small Screen Light Show.  Here's an insight into their amazing day sharing the bill with Noisettes:

So, we walk into a room full of disco balls, glittering promises and drum stools as high as Seth Rogan and although the sultry rocker roadies reluctantly bundle our instruments from van to dance floor, we are still left in a some what warped reality. The reality, in fact, that The Noisettes have arrived in the humble surroundings of Newcastle University.
After changing my weathered guitar strings and trying to 'sparkle' myself up to fit in with this odd-pop-concert, I seek out the mysterious Octavia (The Noisettes tour rep). On my way I stumble upon a very helpful and beautiful merchandise girl, who I believe to be called Grace, who leads me straight to Octavia's lair! After revealing our backstage compliments and explaining the inevitable possibility of no sound checking we witness something entirely breathtaking:
The moment Becca, Tom, Dave (Miss Young's dad / courier), Henry (our manager) & myself all instantly fell in love with tonight’s star attraction Miss Shingai Shoniwa and one of the most gorgeous voices that has ever entered my ears.
Fellow support act and very-tall-drum-stool-owner's Mpho are in the process of manicly trying to make the most off their tick-tocking sound check while we set up our own stuff at the side of the stage. A lot of stress (poor Octavia!) and the fastest set up we're possible capable of, the doors open and as they do, a stream of excitable youngsters flood rapidly up to the barrier in eager anticipation of the first note to be uttered from our noise implements. I had no idea what we were going to sound like from the obvious lack of tests and worryingly proceeded to begin the wall of noise we usually output. Due to timing we had to play a shorter set of which the first half sounded to our knowledge 'lost-in-the-mix' but 'Wild Young Hearts' were soon won over in the latter half with our final three songs sounding as good as we hoped! Overall the blurry eyed teens appeared to enjoy every moment of our unexpected insanity and I left the stage completely satisfied despite the organisational dilemmas we endured beforehand.
Mpho soon followed us with their brand of pop perfection and crazy drum set ups wooing the previously baffled teens with a reminder of what was to come. Tom in particular had the real moment with Mpho bumping into Josh the drummer backstage and instantly gaining a new companion who I'm sure we will meet again!
Enter The Noisettes, with a truly matured and fantastic sound which I couldn't quite believe. They certainly have came a long way since I saw them open for Muse a few years ago. With a mix of the second album instant anthems,  the peculiar alt-pop of the first and the occasional hint at true glam-rock in their glorious rendition of T-Rex I am absolutely sold.
Rarely have I seen a band enjoy themselves so much on stage and the genuineness of it all was justified when we finally met them after the show. We shared champagne opened to the fear of eye-loss by Shingai and enjoyed their southern tails of previous gigs for a good while. We then warned them of their soon to be tour-mates and excitable friends of ours Little Comets side-splittingly frequent antics. Finally after a fair few hugs, handshakes and a final goodbye to my merchandise crush, Tom and I headed off in to the Newcastle skyline to top off this wonderful occasion while Becca retreated to her bed in preparation for her journey to London the next day. The adventure was over…

Last month Nosiettes ran a competiton to find support bands for their current UK tour.  Edinburgh band Come On Gang were the first winners and proudly took to the stage of the Glasgow ABC as Noisettes special guests.  Here's a rundown of the night from lead vocalist Sarah Jones:

NOISETTES AT THE ABC - 12TH OCTOBER 2009
On the night of the 11th October we supported the Noisettes at Glasgow ABC. The place was sold out, and as we played our set, the hall began to fill up, til by the end people were clapping, cheering, and generally behaving in the way that makes Glasgow crowds legendary. Also, the ABC has (probably) the world's biggest mirrorball. It's the size of France. The gig was great, and before we knew it our set was over, and we were three contented and proud bandmates with that post-gig feeling that's like nothing else in the world. The Noisettes took to the stage with a performance unlike anything I've ever seen - what a talented and inspirational bunch they are. At the very end Shingai ran up to the balcony behind the audience to sing her final song. It was a miracle she didn't fall off. It was a nerve wracking moment  - but she stayed put and they ended with a cover of 'Children of the Revolution' by T.Rex (a certain person's favourite band ever).
- Sarah, Come On Gang!
We'll be bringing you more updates from the competiton winners as the tour moves ahead.  Check back.
