We went to DIA: Beacon but they don't let you take pictures inside, which is really a shame because the Richard Serra pieces there are very conducive to awesome pictures. Because they are awesome.

For some reason, these are out of order, and we appear to be back on the boat.

Marc's new ride!  ;-)
For some reason, probably its utter hideousness, my camera would not focus on this motorcycle. I tried 3x.

They rescued the carousel from Lincoln Park when it closed! (That was my childhood amusement park.) It's a really nice carousel, dating from 1921. I hadn't been on it since I was 12 (or so).

Battleships.

The rest of the USS Fall River is not here, because it was highly radioactive.

Vehicles with teeth.

Strangely amusing didactics.

Battleship Massachusetts.

The endlessly-repainted Braga Bridge, now with suicide guards, from the Battleship.

A very gothic squadron logo.

WWII memorabilia & displays.

I actually took all these pictures because I was planning on submitting them to that blog of misplaced punctuation.

Courageous & Strong..

Sleeping the sleep of a Navy Man.

Below Decks

Piece of a missile.

Weapons & stuff.

WGT trip 2003 -

These were the only pix I had on photobucket, and I got a note they were going to delete them, so I moved them over to imageshack - figured I might as well post them up all fresh!

The opening band, Street Sweepers Social Club. Everyone was underwhelmed.

Beer on the lawn. Or maybe it's water.

Nine Inch Nails. First time I'd seen them, since when I tried to go see the Pretty Hate Machine tour on Landsdowne St. in Boston the show was sold out, and the bouncer wouldn't let Trent bring all the kids outside in 'round the back way. So I listened from outside and got my favorite japanese jacket stolen. Ah well.

Anyway, I would rather have seen them then than now. Trent really seems to have disavowed the old stuff (was hoping he'd do it since this was his "farewell tour.") And it just wasn't that good. Lots of Jock Angst.

On the other hand, Jane's Addiction did not disappoint! This was the third time I've seen them.... first time Perry Farrell was a dreadlocked punk, 2nd time a grunge rocker, this time quite the dandy! He just puts on a great show. I was disappointed they played second, since we had to leave before the set was over to be sure of not missing the bus, since that happened to us last time!

Thanks to Ryanair changing schedules on me, possibly the shortest visit to London ever!

Houses of Parliament

In case you were wondering, you are not allowed into Westminster Abbey with a backpack or Large Bag, and they do not have a bag check.
