We urge everyone in the midwest area to add the Truckhenge Music Festival as friends on myspace.  They are currently our Top Friend so that you can find them easily.

Truckhenge is a 2 day Music Festival held at the Lessman Farm just outside of Topeka, KS.  Although the event and camping are absolutely FREE we do ask for at least a $5 donation to help pay for the lights, sound, electricity, port-o-lets, etc.  Not bad for nearly 30 bands over 2 days.

Please check out the myspace site, add them as a friend and if you can, make plans to attend.

Our reason for promotion is simple.  J.D. Nash & Red Circle will be making what has, as of late, become a rare appearance at Truckhenge on Saturday, June 6th at 2 p.m.

Please pass this on to all the Kansans, Nebraskans, Missourians, Oklahomans and Coloradans you know and let's make this festival one to remember.

Remember the basic stuff to bring...

sturdy shoes
flashlight
bug repellant
sun screen
bottled water
munchies
folding chairs
camping gear
BYOB
etc.

SEE YOU AT TRUCKHENGE 2009!

This is the video from the first single release on the new Backlash CD which will be available at the end of this month.  These guys are my partners in rhyme and the new CD will be an ass-kicker.  I fell in love with this song when I first heard it on a car stereo in the back of the Jolly Troll in Holton, Kansas, and now with the release of this video, you'll see why.

Pass this around, put it on your homepage, play it again and again until everybody gets it...I mean REALLY gets it.

Congrats guys...your best work ever.

The Oglala Commemoration Committee has opened this years online auction.

We have some very nice items that have been donated.  Many thanks to Arigon Starr, The Parchcorns, Candy Wahwassuck and all the items  we picked up  along the way from people.

Please check it out and pass around.

http://www.geocities.com/oglala_comm/auction.html

(the Oglala Commemoration website is on geocities.com and myspace will not allow a direct link due to their protective nature against spam and phishing. - The best way to get to the site is by copying the above url and pasting it in your browser window - then bookmark the site for future reference!)

This auction generates about 90% of the funds to keep the Oglala Commemoration event free.   This event is to honor all those who lost their lives in the Reign of Terror and those who have walked on since, and to bring awareness to Leonard's unjust incarceration.

(These items can be had before x-mas and would make wonderful gifts)

Also check out the website as the new 2009 School Supply Drive flier has been added.

**Note from J.D. - There are some wonderful items up for bids at this time.  Included are some amazing bead work by award winning artisans Buddy and Courtney Parchcorn (Cherokee/Kiowa/Chickasaw/Creek) and Candy Wahwassuck (Prairie Band Potawatomi); an autographed gift set from award winning performer Arigon Starr (Kickapoo); a Native Teddy Bear in a ribbon dress made by Candy Wahwassuck and quite possibly the most kickass "Homeland Security" shirt you've ever seen (definately one of a kind).  J.D. Nash & Red Circle are also donating an autographed gift pack which will include a copy of our CD, So There I Was..., a DVD of the live concert at The Static featuring guest performers Skylar Wolf and Jesse Phillips, a Red Circle t-shirt and autographed 8X10 of the band...look for it on the auction site soon!

All proceeds from these auctions go directly to the operating costs of this event to keep it free to all people.  ANY PROFITS remaining are used for The Leonard Peltier Honorary Scholarship; The Leonard Peltier Annual Toy Drive; the annual Leonard Peltier Sundance and various other charitable causes directly by the discretion of Leonard Peltier and/or Grandmother Roselyn Jumping Bull.

We have not yet signed acts for the annual concert which is part of this event - HOWEVER - some of the acts that have shown interest in appearing this year include: Stoned Age; Lucid; Arrow Space; Michael Bucher; Andy Mason; Vice Verse; Little Hawk; Layla from the Orlando Rock Band; The Red All Over Band; Red Ponie; myself and members of the band Red Circle.  This is a partial list as we will begin the serious work of booking acts for this event very soon.

The event takes place in Oglala, South Dakota on June 26th, 2009.  Watch for blogs and bulletins and make plans to attend.**

Please pass this on!
