... BUT the crowd was f'n whack at Shea Riley's tonight. Less than 50 people to see Atherton, Mars Black and Prince Poetry. No offense if you were actually there and represented, at least you came out, but didn't nobody stand up and give props to the rappers. Everybody sat on their ass. I've seen Omaha do way better than that. I've seen ten times as many go nuts for Devin and Del at The Slowdown. I've seen half as many go crazy for PsalmONE. Right in between would be the crowds for Sage Francis or Brother Ali. In each case people got up, bopped their head, waved their hands in the air like they just don't care, you name it. I've had rappers piss me off at shows before (namely Swollen Members) but never had a CROWD vexed me as much as tonight. I'm pissed off that they came all the way to Omaha and got no love a'tall. Maybe it was the venue. Shea Riley's is kind of whack and not even that easy to find (it's not even visible from the street) but I remember a show where the GUITARIST from Tesla (not the actual band, just the GUITARIST from the band) came and ripped it in front of a crowd of hundreds in the same venue. Fuck this. I'll have more to say on RapReviews.com tomorrow.

I couldn't be happier - in fact I got a little crazy last night and took an Obama '08 sign from my polling place as a souvenir (they had five in the drive) that I'm going to tack up on my wall.

Change is coming to OHHLA too! The developer is FINALLY nearly done with the search engine. I know I've said this before, but this time it's a little different because financially he needed to get paid and business-wise I needed it to get done so we made it happen. I suggested a few changes before it goes live to make the display results more functional and he agreed. If you're familiar with IMDB or YouTube type searches where you can sort by date, relevance, exact match et cetera that's what you'll be able to with OHHLA searches too. If this doesn't go live before December 1st something's seriously f'd, but I don't foresee any more big delays. *fingers crossed* I had hope for Obama, and I have hope this will pay off too!

ALMOST FORGOT! I told Cancer I would plug the "big return" of K4D in as many places as possible this week, so if you didn't already hear it on AngryMarks or the iTunes feed (keyword: angrymarks) here it is again.
