The Adventures ofvPedro the Purple Turtle

The Adventures of Pedro the Purple Turtle

Pedro was born during the mid summer feast by the Susquehanna River.

Back East in a place called Pennsylvania also called the Keystone State
Long ago, in this place, important agreements were made after many a famous debate.

One was the Constitution of the United States,and the other was the Bill of Rights.
These documents, once truly understood, one would find the CITY OF LIGHTS!

So you see, young Pedro was born into what was known as the Rainbow Clan.
These are all of the creators children and animals destined for the promised land.

Verse:
The Promised Land, The Promised Land
We're searching for the Promised Land
Where children, all the animals be free
And we know the time be at hand

Well, Pedro was different right from the start
because besides being purple,he had a big heart

And very good ears. He could hear whispers thru the grasses and gentle songs from the trees.
As the winds blew thru the trees his dreams took him further than anyone sees.

He loved to walk in the forest and swim in the river, I'll tell you something very true.
Something he knew and now so do you!

That mother earth be a loving life giver and he loved brother sun so, too!
Sister moon for a night lite of love be a magical tune

Pedro was happy and he had some good friends.
Life goes on forever and the adventure never ends.

He loved to soak in sunshine upon some river logs.
At night he listened to concerts by crickets and acapella frogs.

Verse:
One fine day Pedro was walking along the Susquehanna River
Whistling a song when he came upon a friend, her name was Winona Weasel.
She was happy and cheerful, painting on her easel.

Look Pedro, please, please, come and see.
I'm painting Oliver Owl, right here in that tree.

Well! Oliver Owl didn't really give a hoot, he didn't volunteer,
Until that moment he didn't even know in this picture he would appear

Now fully awakened he said to Pedro and Winona Be absolutely clear
My experience and knowledge applies trust that I be more than wise,
In fact I'm quite the seer

You, young Pedro, so to begin a true mission
You will be helped and protected by the cosmic physician

Who already has scheduled and plotted your course
Now just follow your heart so I turn to the source.

Young Pedro looked up at Oliver and said: Do you mean I'm going to travel
Yes, said Oliver the Owl, and a mystery will unravel.

You are going to free true hearts from pains
and the children and animals from unseen chains

For it's long been said by the wisest of sages
and truly they've said this throughout the ages

That children and animals should never be found in cages
For almighty be as almighty see the true heart of the great spirit rages

For of the evil things men do by far the worst that they will do
to lock up anybody's freedom this way
Is the saddest, meanest thing today.

Verse:
Pedro wondered why anyone would put animals in cages
and who in this world were the wisdom filled sages

Pedro could not imagine being locked up. Oh my! Oh my!
He started thinking of others locked up and it made him cry

Well the greatest of sages ate vegetables and fruits
And the promised land be full of gardens, free of disputes

But there's always been bad guys working in cahoots
Keeping a lock on the door and maintaining war and soldiers in combat boots.

Verse:
Well! Pedro had much to ponder as he lay down to sleep.
That night dreams and visions visited from the deep

From the very depths of the Universe
Giving Pedro keys and asking him please to go forever, end mammon's curse

For mammon is the one known as greed's master
Causing so much trouble and many a disaster

Be sure that love be a much greater force
Filled with rhymes galloping in on a celestial horse

Watching Pedro sleep was the great white owl, Queen Maxine
She must be commended, so powerfully splendid and wisdom most serene

Queen Maxine called to all of Pedro's friends,I warn you,
By the time Pedro awakens in the morning he will feel as if he had been reborn
for by sunrise he will be in California.

Verse:
Well Queen Maxine picked up Pedro and safely flew west all night
Flying over prairies and stormy twisters
and high over dairies to meet the sisters

At sunrise Pedro was awakened by a little pony speaking to him
Welcome to Victoria's Fashion Stables for Horses.
Did you secretly arrive by magical forces?

Well said Pedro, I had me this dream
That I was supposed to meet up with a rainbow team

Specificallly Seven Sisters who are destined to lead
all the Rainbow team children to rescue animals from greed

Well! That's good, said the little pony, sounds really clear
You've come to the right place because the siters are here!

Yes! There's Kala, Chloe
That girls and their mamas were smarter than men
Because men had always started wars to battle
Just like they mistreated baby pigs, chickens, calves and cattle

Verse:
So the seven sisters told their friend in class
if you're offered a turkey or ham sandwich say no thanks I'll pass

Because protecting animals was thier number one rule
Makes you wonder why teachers don't teach this in school

Besides I like pancakes said Ophelia with glee
Kala and Marie both exclaimed that they love tasty sauce on steamed broccoli

Isabella likes nachos and mashed potatoes
Scarlet and Lily like salads with avocados and tomatoes

And little Chloe loves pears and peaches
The message of the seven sisters, well we all can see
and most certainly agree
The true meaning of love it teaches!

Part II
The Adventures of Pedro the Purple Turtle in Petaluma

After the riding lessons the sisters brushed the horses clean
They helped feed and water the baby goats for they were on the wean
They all thanked Victoria then were off and away
What should we do the rest of today?

Pedro said "The road goes on forever and the party never ends"
Queen Maxine called down from the tree "Go next door and you will see, a host of new friends"
"I'll show you the way" said a happy hopping toad
"Follow me this way, it's just right down the road."

Well Kala had a camera and a picture she did take
Of the hundred and forty four Canadian Geese around the Artesian Lake
Well Chloe said we got lots of bread
and bags of veggies and fruity treats
Are we at the farm so full of charm
That's known as "Cactus Pete's"?

Well the Rainblow Clan is always yearnin
to be smarter every day and gladly learnin
So many ways to prepare edible cactus
for salads and sautes and even sorbets

Everybody went down to the big farmhouse
and there they did wait
Pedro called "Cactus Pete, please open the gate"
Well Cactus Pete did so just in time
sort of like a perfect rhyme

Because coming down the hill a runnin
was Maa Maw and all the sheep
Maa Maw followed by eighteen more
and they ran up right to the door
Three abreast and six deep

Following them were 10 white geese in a row
like a train with a caboose
This his bunch, they all arrived for lunch
and the last of the geese was Frank the Goose

Ophelia Bedelia cried out "Oh good that Frank's not lost"
She said Frank's got two blue eyes and both of them are crossed
And everyone knows with geese how it goes
Through grass and weeds they will schnibble
They also like to be fed with the day's extra bread
and often Frank accidentally my fingers will nibble

Well Pedro said to Maa Maw "Baa Ram Ewe"
"We're on a mission by the Cosmic Physician to free all animals it's true
Well Maa Maw and all the sheep said thank you and all agreed
That too many farmers abused their animal friends and did so in service to greed

Frank the Goose said "Not far from here are beautiful little calves chained by the neck to stalls"
"And in the other direction are thousands of laying hens in prisons in large scary halls"
They never ever see the light of day
and never ever get to go out to play

And all the geese and sheep cried it's true
Can you help them Seven Sisters What can anyone do?
For we can sometimes hear them crying at night
And to see how they're treated is a terrible sight

Pedro said that's why we're here as the Rainbow Clan
We're determined and dedicated and we got a plan
Rainbow children and all animals united in solidarity
And then we will set the incarcerated free

So all the sheep and the geese had plenty to eat
and everyone else got veggie burritos with cactus from "Cactus Pete"
So guess who's been watching from the birdfeeder kinda silly
It was Cactus Pete's kitty smilin' Lily

Well Lily also had the munchies
So Isabella poured her a bowl of Crispy Crunchies
and as everyone pretty much finished their dish
Scarlet Bella said somebody better also feed the fish

For dessert we had what's known as tunas or apples or pears
the fruit of the cactus with needles bewares
so very delicious so too full of seeds
you could crunch em and munch em or spit them out in the weeds

Marie piped up saying "We are made as the Creator"
"Which means also we can be the Liberator"
Our mission to some might seem outrageous
But our Heart and Soul with our focused goal be absolutely contagious.

Little Lily then said "We are very powerful, I'm talkin about us"
And more and more children will want to get on our bus
We've got clear sight and we're in the right now the adults we beseech
For true freedom we yearn and burn all children we will teach

Then Ophelia Bedelia whose middle name is Clementine
Looked in our bag and one more thing did find
It was a bag of carrots that we got from Franny
"We forgot to feed Rocky and Annie!"
So as "Cactus Pete" continued to spin us a yarn
We all walked over to the horse's barn

We looked and we searched in the barn and throughout
We called out "Rocky" and "Annie" all Seven did shout
Isabelle Rose climbing the fence reached high on her toes
There they are by the lake next to the little stream that flows

With a winnie and a nicker they ran over to the Rainbow Clan
And with a warm and soft muzzle everyone got a little nuzzle
And we all enjoyed crunching delicious carrots with glee

It was early Spring as meadow birds sing
So we all planted herb seeds and sunflowers so tall that they towers
sunflowers grow quickly you know
We planted squash and zucchinis and and great blue lakes green beanies
with a variety of heirloom potatoes

We planted varieties of cucumbers
and brilliant flowers in great numbers
Attracting pollinators to help our tomatoes

We cut back the roses and connected the hoses
to be sure of plentiful waters
and even when it began then to rain
absolutely no one did complain

So blessed the almighty rainbow daughters
Their work was made fun and they played so to run
under the beautiful sunshine above
The geese all gave chase and the sheep joined the race
True hearts call this heavenly love

It was getting to be in the late afternoon
And tonight we're getting ready for the full moon
Now the Canadian Geese were beginning to fly
In V shaped squadrons up in the sky while singing their most favorite tune

It was such a beautiful day
What more could we do or say
It felt like everybody here was a winner
Then guess what
Aunt Cindy stopped by with some dinner

Now Aunt Cindy is a real good cook
Makes everything delicious, no need of a book
She brought a wonderful salad with avacado toast most gourmet
Everyone was hungry and grateful saying Thank You, Hooray

There was lettuce and spinach and sweet peppers so too golden beets
Tomatoes and dried cranberries and sprouts and cucumbers tonight at Cactus Pete's
And still one more leafy green, Kala guesed it, it was Dinosaur Kale
Two beverages to drink, pure spring water and organic ginger ale

Now Pedro the Purple Turtle who just came from the East
Had never ever enjoyed such a feast
So glad and happy was he that this opportunity arose
He drank the ginger ale too fast and it came out his nose?)

Pedro said "Vegetarians love their animal friends
and to their friends they'll always be nice
Plus there's so much to do with salads and greens, vegetables, pasta and rice
Chloe said "Let's grow more gardens with vegetables and fruits
"And if there's enough for everyone there will be no more disputes.

"Out of the mouths of babes" Pedro cried
"They know through Spirit the truth can't hide
That's why adults must seek the child within
To cease worldly foolishness for true peace to begin"

And so it's all Vegan
The Seven Sister's plan
With everyone they shared recipes for vegetarian meals
And how to help each other with gardening concept ideals.

They told all their friends in school
To please join us in sharing this tool
If for the first time ever Earth is to know peace
then the killing and eating of animals now cease.

Well all the Seven Sisters agreed
This is how we will plant the seed
The road goes on forever and the party never ends
We love all the animals surely we all be friends

All of a sudden a hummingbird did appear
Hovering above the center of dinner saying have no fear
I've come to join you briefly at this meeting table
To let you know your quest is the best
and will work because you are able

Quickly became night and out was the full moon
and along with this hour came many a tune
the toads were a croakin, crickets and tree frogs were a singing
and a knock at the front door a surprise love was bringing

It was Ruppert Raccoon and Percy the Possum
"We heard about your mission we think you are awesome
And last night we ate some extra cat food inside of your door
So we were wondering please might we please have some more?

Cactus Pete said come on in for a nibble
There's an extra bowl that's full of kibble
Everyone had big fun and feeling quite hearty
Tonight the Seven Sisters and Pedro would go to Granny's for a slumber party.

Well Queen Maxine, the great white owl had been watching all the while
Quite pleased was she, I could tell by her smile
When the Seven Sisters got to Granny's they were ready for bed
From a very full day of riding and working and planting and planning
and playing, yes so much was said.
The end.

Part III
Seven Sisters Slumber Party
The Adventures of Pedro the Purple Turtle

Everybody was at the breakfast table by eight
As Granny was fixin' everybody a special plate
One at a time they told Granny about their adventures yesterday -sounded like a fable
They all took turns til they went around the table

Well it was pancakes and syrup or avacado toast with tomato
or grilled onions and mushrooms with country fried potato
or agave nector on toast or jam or jelly
Fresh peaches or bananas for everyone's belly

Yes everyone had seconds, some even had thirds
Except Ophelia Bedelia and Kala who just ate like birds
And of course there was orange juice, so too almond milk
or grape juice or tea, even chocolate hemp silk

Well the conversation got louder then, Granny said "Beg pardon"
Then everyone said "Yes, please" when asked to help in the garden
So they raked up the leaves and repotted plants
Fun working with friends except the pots filled with ants

They worked so hard bless their little hearts
Then for an hour planted one hundred flower starts
And finally they watered after they weeded
As neighbors walked by most friendly were greeted

One older couple asked if the Seven Sisters could help them please
For we can't garden anymore cause we both have bad knees
If Granny would let you we just live next door
And be glad to pay you your time for the chore

Granny said yes they'll help but not today
There's so much to do hardly time even to play
Maybe tomorrow sometime after three
I'll call in the afternoon please wait and see

Well Pedro himself was just roaming around
Through the flowers and grass to the pond in the ground
In the pond were so many beautiful colors of fish
After watching them swimming Pedro tossed in a coin and then made a wish

Pero's wish was secret and wow, it was good
I'd tell you right now but don't know if I should?
It would make so many happy and the true spirit of love grow
Should I tell you children, I just don't know?

Well the lawn and flower garden was looking great - time for lunch
Pedro wasn't sure what Granny was serving but he had a wishful hunch
Hooray he was right - veggie gourmet burgers with almond jack cheese
Everybody had one, Pedro asked one more please

This afternoon was dedicated to preparing a lesson
As to why there's no peace in humanity without guessin
Alll those smart girls knew which most adults cannot see
Is that what people do to farm animals
is being done as to the least of me

It's the greatest truth disregarded by religions
The blind that can't hear misdirecting pigeons
For as Maa Maw taught us that to really be sheep

So they each picked a topic to present
to their classmates wthout beng hesitant
plus alot of their friends already understood
That killing and eating animals is just no good

A true charm of a farm is one of no harm
But to those who deceive and don't believe we'll point them out with great alarm
We'll fight the abusers with love we'll sing them a song
We can only move forward after ceasing that which we know is wrong

Well Kala picked the Humane Society
their efforts and good works receive notoriety
They work mostly with dogs, puppies, kittens and cats
so too pigeons and parrots, guinea pigs and rats
They make sure everyone's happy and healthy and clean
and then up for adoption displayed to be seen

There's one in every county sometimes more
Their workers and volunteers maintain a loving policy of the open door
And veteranarians make sure that all be healthy
And all kinds of nice people stop by to adopt no matter poor or wealthy.

Scalett Bella picked Koko the Gorilla
who loves both cocoa beans and sticks of vanilla
In sign language Koko knows over 800 signs
and loves playing with her kitten when she unwinds

Koko is the most famous real Gorilla on the planet
Sort of like King Kong with muscles of granite
Eight times stronger than any man be she
So too smarter than men this vegetarian be

Well Chloe don't you know, picked Babe the Pig
Smartest little pig ever, could even dance a jig
Chosen fom a scary factory barn, he wasn't even the pick of the litter
Babe was lucky indeed, even got a Border Collie Mama to be his baby sitter

He was taken to a farm where all the animals were free from cages
In a beautiful hillside landscape unchanged for ages
In the sheepherding contest he proved smarter than all the dogs
This very courageous and smart little piglet was Babe - King of all hogs.

Ophelia Bedelia whose middle name is Clementine
Picked P.E.T.A. people for the ethical treatment of animals - so fine
For they too are Rainbow Warriors dedicated to protect and defend
To stop abuse in zoos and circuses for every animal be their friend

Elephants should not be chained and trained
for tricks so people can see
They wish to be in the forest with family and friends they wish to be free
So true too of lions and tigers and bears
P.E.T.A. warriors are among those whose passion thunderously fares

Now Isabella Rose loves the cheetahs at Safari West
Cheetahs are beautiful and the fastest cats - in running they are the best
Safari West is a very well run sanctuary
and many animal homes are wide as a prairie

The animals are happy there they get to roam
Shouldn't everyone have a happy home?
Elephants, giraffe, meerkats, gazelle and parrots
Guess which of these loves to eat carrots?

Well Lily said one of my favorite secret places
is up 101 in Geyserville called the "Isis Oasis"
There they have the elusive and beautiful ocelot
Wild cats from around the world and the American Bobcat they got

Such beautiful tropical birds and albino peacocks
and a wonderful pond with black swans on the rock
There's pictures of animals in the Egyptian Temple
A place to reflect maybe be sentimental

Marie chose the famous Shambala Preserve
Where you could walk with a lion if you had the nerve
A retirement community from all the travelling shows
Mostly big cats so don't step on their toes

Lions and Tigers and Black Panthers too
And elephants to trumpet their freedom it's true
No more tricks or whips or cages
Free just to be as was meant through the ages.

Pedro picked the guide dogs for the blind
Run by Snoopy's friend a nice lady most kind
They raise and train labs and shepherds to help people see
to guide them safely be a great responsibility

The dogs can't be aggressive they have to be fair
They must be most loyal and never to scare
A most honorable position with a grateful friend
Cooperation essential for this teamwork to blend

Pedro and the Seven Sisters had eight stories to share
We got pictures for each report to show and compare
And a Rainbow Report summary with sites all could google
By making learning fun stimulates the noodle

Try googling "Famous Vegetarians" on the internet today
And a very long list of good people shows up to display
You'd really be surprised who shows up on this list
And you can hear it by Spirit they all be sun kissed

And how about the famous gardener from Sonoma County
Luther Burbank's work with plants provided such a bounty
This man seemed to all a natural magician
Seemed Almighty did guide him lovingly through the celestial musician.

He possessed magical powers creating new flowers
He talked to plants and the trees and listened for hours
Cross bred so many new veggies and the Burbank potato
The spineless cactus the shasta daisy even of course the Burbank tomato

That's the story that our Granny told
When Luther gardened he was patient and bold
And tomorrow morning we would visit Burbank's garden and park
there's so much to see and so much to learn
In Mother Nature's true world is really a lark

Time now for dinner a big vegan pizza pie
and steamed asparagus and brocolli with tasty sauce my oh my
We all ate two pieces and plenty of greens
Because warriors must be fit and healthy you know what that means

Went into the living room by the roaring fire
We stay in a circle on the shelf Granny reached higher
She pulled out and showed us the cover of the book
Then sat down and cracked it open saying let's have a look.

She said pay attention as I read you this tale
It's about Humphrey and Humphrey's a whale
Well a few years back Humphrey swam up the Petaluma River
He needed some help, in great pain, for in one of his fins was a sliver

So many people watched and pointed at Humphrey but the injury no one did notice
Until a brave little boy jumped in tor emove the sliver - Humphrey said thank you Otis
He said please tell your people to stop polluting the water
Because for all life on Earth it's bad for everyone's son and daughter

Then Otis jumped on top of Humphrey and they went for a ride
Back to the ocean Humphrey let him off by the tide
Thank you said Humphrey for being my friend
Time to get ready for the night.

I'm sure you must be aware of your true opposition. The prison guard union, Whackenhut International, corrupt law enforcement with CIA, and of course the Pharmaceutical industry.
For this Goliath our hero David must have some version of kryptonite in his slingshot. And so it be.
King Richard the Lion Hearted, could a truly "out of the box" plan provide sufficient leverage for maximum impact.
Along with you, 2 or 3 of your high (pun intended) profile support, and so too general supporters - I have assembled 8 or so appropriate associates for this task at hand. We have two weeks to prepare and present. It's beautiful, wait till you see.

July 27, 2009 Governor Ed Rendell had me arrested at a press conference in the Governor's Reception Room in the state capitol of Harrisburg. He didn't like my questions particularly regarding Jamal and the lying prosecutor that put him on death row - Rendell!
Two days later, after joining 100 others from around the country for Leonard Peltier's parole hearing - I was granted 30 minutes on a radio talk show that covered most of Central Pennsylvania. I blasted Rendell on the Bob Durgin Show.
Robert, what have you got on the Polakoff pictures?
Between this Supreme Court decision, (including the Neo Nazi), Scott Brown's obviously purchased election in Massachusetts, the California "gay marriage" fiasco and the "Pot Bill" in Sacramento, I got to say, it seems to read right out of John Grisham's book "Appeal".
What if you had a witness as to who actually killed Officer Faulkner? Are you prepared to step outside the box, to facilitate Jamal's release? Wouldn't that be great - join us as one of 8. Incidentally, I've got a genuine Nazi for you.

An auspiciously unique set of circumstances has presented itself with Karma written all over it (my perception) requiring the right persons to, dare I say, "manifest destiny".
This involves 4 courtrooms and cases in Sonoma County, gay marriage, the Sacramento "Pot Bill", cancer, corruption, the Pharmaceutical Industry, the U.S. Supreme Court (Abu Jamal), and an unsolved murder.
As you well know I've often bandied your name around and your website and thanks for calling me back several months ago (August).
I may be mistaken but it sure feels like I could really utilize your assistance in finalizing a few points of this campaign whose lifespan is 2-4 weeks starting now. Your drawpower be appreciated to generate quickly 1 to 3 short meetings with the chosen participants. I, with your assistance, intend to pull the rug out from under this longstanding corruption by playing the corruptors against themselves for all to see

Que Paso Mi Amigo? Looks like Passalacqua has upcoming election support from the Hispanic community? Why is this so?
Law enforcement still involves the migrant workers in their "thousand cars per month" lease program - right? And of course the media tells us that migrant Mexicans are bringing in all the marijuana - one way or another - plus more dangerous drugs - right?
How did you like the Dylan Morse case result - first 12 years prison - then 3 years, maybe. - the 19 year old son of a neighboring (Merced?) County District Attorney - drunk, buying alcohol with fake I.D., killed one, another in a coma on life support. but as the Press Democrat told us many times - our Sonoma County D.A. Passalacqua did "NO" favors for the father of this drunk killer - who's dad is a D.A.
Meanwhile - Ryan Karr - who was not drinking - was not drunk - no alcohol in the car - no drugs in the car - has an accident - he rear-ends an old Honda - it explodes - killing 3 and severely injuring a young boy (all Hispanics). Passalacqua will use this "circumstance" to seek support from the Hispanic community. Davin, there's more, you are one of 8 I am bringing together to pull the rug out from under this corruption. I more than appreciated your Forum article January 21 (Press Democrat) titled Blocking access to video of Prop. 8 trial was a mistake.
Between your article, the Massachusetts election purchased for Scott Brown and the U.S. Supreme Court's reversal of a ruling favoring Mumia Abu-Jamal sure reminds me of John Grisham's book "Appeal".
So what is the "thinking" minority to do? What can we do? How might we facilitate "Atlas" to "Shrug"? Would you consider to go so far as to trust another "thinker"? Could a truly "out of the box" plan provide sufficient leverage for maximum impact? Yes.
Freedom of Speech so too Factual Truthfulness have long been quashed.
Are you crystal clear as to who is truly behind Prop. 8 and their true agenda? I submit to you that it is far from obvious.
Peter you are one of 8 players I deem appropriate to recruit! You have much to gain and nothing to lose, not really.

"Shattering the Stained Glass Window" I agree is long overdue.
Personally I think the entire Catholic organization should be run by women. For any priest who has ever harmed a child and any priest who has remained silent on this subject should immediately and forever be cast out.
It seems that in any large organization we find the "Good, Bad and the Ugly". Whether it's law enforcement, government or religion.
I personally am in support of the good. So too have I begun to shine a light on the Bad and the Ugly for I know them well - having kept their company throughout my youth. Excellent that you were able to testify and certainly write about the Prop. 8 trial, would you agree?
So much hypocricy and even moreso deceit, agree once more?
Marriage - ideally - a commitment of love by two spiritual beings, first and foremost, right?
In America, currently marriage is an arrangement whereas two heteorsexuals marry each other and so too into the State, right?
Who wants a third party (especially and legally speaking, the State)?
So what religions sponsored Prop. 8? Specifically which patriarchal religions sponsored Prop. 8? And what is the true nature of these patriarchal controllers?
So what about the pedophile issue and accusations?
If I could verifiably reveal both answers in depth, would you as a writer wish to see? Helen and Lia, I have chosen you to be among a small group of 8 or 9 for a short and most purposeful campaign. The game is hardball and its mission is beautiful.

I bring your attention to a powerfully protected pedophile, Dr. Maurice Wolin. It's recently and most clearly been demonstrated that the Sonoma County District Attorney's office is compromised.
