Angie Peek is my friend, and has said some very nice things about me on her blog, and I would like to return the favor by encouraging anyone out there looking to hire someone cool to scoop her up. I probably would have done her this favor whether she said nice things about me or not, but the saying of the nice things about me was extra sweet and unnecessary, so I couldn't really NOT try and help her out in some way. (Sneaky girl.) Anyway, I definitely was sorry to see Angie leave AVN, especially since she was one of the people I got along best with there. She's a very conscientious and dedicated worker, has a spirited personality, and is generally always enjoyable to have around. She does a whole lot of different useful stuff, so give the girl a shot, would ya? Thanks. Check it: modelmayhem.com/makeupbyangie

In case you hadn't yet taken notice, my movie, Jews at Sea, has at long last gotten a proper cyperspot set up for it on the weird wild web. The trailer's up there and everything. Check it out: www.jewsatsea.comor myspace.com/jewsatsea(both take you to the same place) -pw

Current mood: blank
This is the kind of thing that gnaws at me like a squirrel on acorns. (This being the squirrel, and me being the acorns.) It's indicative to me of the gasping, pandemic-level ignorance that plagues the planet, and how it happens, I simply cannot comprehend. Now, I realize that this may seem like a very minute thing to be so infuriated over, but bear in mind that it's what I extrapolate from it, and not the thing itself, that blows my mind so supremely. Here's what I'm talking about: I noticed the poster below from my car the other day for the new Sean Penn film Into the Wild. If you take a moment to think about the credit below the title – "Screenplay and Directed by Sean Penn" – it shouldn't take more than a millisecond to realize that it's composed very poorly. The way that should read is either "Written and Directed by Sean Penn" or "Screenplay and Direction by Sean Penn" (though that sounds pretty clumsy), or even, if the intent was not to claim full credit for writing something that's based on somebody else's work, "Adapted for the Screen and Directed by Sean Penn." But see, the problem with the phrase that was chosen is that "Screenplay" is a noun, and "Directed" is a verb. They don't agree. A reasonably astute second grader knows this. So then, how many people did this poster have to go through before appearing on the housing of the bus stop where I saw it, I wonder? And by extension, how many people had to have read the line "Screenplay and Directed by Sean Penn" and not thought twice about how it sounded? A lot, I'm guessing. Including, I'm sure, Sean Penn himself. So ask yourself this, moviegoers: Do you want to see a film WRITTEN by a guy who doesn't know the difference between a noun and a verb? And do you feel comfortable living in a society full of a whole bunch of other people who don't know the difference between a noun and a verb, and apparently don't care? Just asking.

Exactly one year after my first AVN cover story, numero tres has hit the streets, and I think it's my favorite of the three. It's all about the elements that make up a hit porno movie, and just a few of the people I talked to for it were: Tera Patrick, Andrew Blake, Paul Thomas and John Stagliano. It's a fun one. Check it out:

They liked my first cover story so much, they gave me another one. This time, I wrote about all the mega-huge spectacular spectacles coming to porn shelves this month (in time for AVN Awards consideration). Clicky the picture and checky outy the digital version of the story...

Didn't occur to me 'til now to put something up here about my feature "The MySpace XXXplosion" in the current AVN (the new one is already about to come out, but oh well), which you can read, if you're so inclined, by clicking the cover image below, and going to page 63. Now in case you're wondering what I mean by "going to page 63," which you undoubtedly are, allow me to explain: What you're going to find when you click the clicky pic is the brand new, ultra-futuristic-like digital version of AVN Magazine. You have to sign up to use it, but it's easy, free, and very worth your while - it literally is a virtual version of the physical magazine that lets you flip the pages back and forth, zoom in and out, skip to whichever page you like, etc. It's fun. So go play with it. And read my story. Yo. (Oh yeah, and it's the first my picture has appeared in the magazine.)
