I got asked to blog more about Bloody so I guess I'll talk about The Vaynes because I have not done so before.

Bloody joined The Vaynes after splitting The Renegades and leaving C&W behind. The Vaynes began as a rock cover band and they did lots of rock classics like The Doors.

The band changed members and slowly the Vaynes added originals when Dave Glover joined up. Dave is a brilliant guitarist with a great ear for writing radio friendly rock music. Added to Bloody's punk lyrics and vocals I believe this was the most talented band he had with Bully On Bass, Tim on Drums and Dave on guitar they rocked it well.

I first caught them live at a show in 99 I believe at a landmark called The Madison Theatre where outside the Peoria Walk of Fame is, it featured stars like LA's Graumen's Chinese Theatre. There were stars for Comedian Sam Kinison, Opera Star Jerry Hadley, former Chicago Cub Jack Brickhouse and I think Richard Pryor although only Hadley and Brickhouse's stars remain today. This was a big gig for the band and they got a bunch of other bands on the bill including Snot Rocket,The Last Vegas and

Gravel Bath (featuring Billy The Kid who would play with Bloody & The Transfusions and Ede G who would join with Mr Void to form Sl@ve,

and later Renegade Sl@ve). Billy is on the far left and Ede to far right on above photo of the band. The backstage was a freak show with strippers, a pyro tech, and an assortment of ex-cons and punk rockers. It was a real wild scene.

Kitty and I flew in and we stayed across the street at Hotel Pere Marquette, a swank place loaded with business people and a upscale restaurant that featured meatloaf as its signature dish. Only in the midwest do you get upscale comfort food and it was good too! The hotel was named after a pioneer who traveled the Mississippi River in the 16 or 1700's with Native Americans. a painting of him is in the lobby. It must of been a security alert when Bloody or any of the bands or friends of bands visited us and we were up till late. Peoria's bars were open till 4AM! Before the show Bloody and I went to a costume shop and we rented a jesters outfit which he wore on stage.

Fitting too as he is quite the joker long before Heath was!

Anyway the show was awesome and all the bands were fun to meet. Billy The Kid reminded me how I spoke with Gravel Bath on my "Triangle Theroy" but that will need to wait for a future blog if anybody wants to hear about that bit of wisdom!
Kitty and I enjoyed the rocking punk show loaded with classic antics by Bloody that we flew into Cleveland in 2000 to catch the boys again at Cleveland landmark named

PATS IN THE FLATS. Bloody & The Vaynes rocked the city and at the show I met a guy who was a huge Algae Afterbirth fan who got a lot of guys to Drop Trow during Bloody's set! All these guys with boxers on while their pants were around their ankles, Strange but fun. We met Pat too she was a cool lady who really loved having bands play her place.

This picture was from that show. We had a blast and I recall when the band came by our hotel security was following them. Bully & Tim are big guys and I don't mean fat I mean tall and imposing.
The next show I saw them play was the last. This time Kitty did not join me and I'm glad she didn't. Shortly after I checked into my hotel room near the Airport a bunch of punks were walking through kicking the doors of each room in. I was taking a dump at the time and jumped off the throne pants down to see what was going on but they split to kick in other doors. I know there is a lot of dropped Trow in this bolg and more to come!
The show was in St Louis at punk bar The Creepy Crawl. Before the show I met Scumby and Crash from Without MF Order and this picture below has the 3 of us together. Me, Bloody & Scumby, Crash took the photo.

The show began and somebody has this on video (not me) Bloody was wasted as can be mostly drunk I think. As the set began I looked up at the TV over the bar and they were playing the GG videos where he is near the dumpster doing "I Wanna Rape You" and other songs and within a few songs Bloody has taken off his pants and was exposing himself almost in synch with the GG footage. I don't know if Bloody saw it and was inspired or it just happened. Regardless after the show Dave Glover told me that was it for him. I told Dave there was only 20 or so people there and not to worry, but the band broke up after that night. But before it was over we headed back to the hotel the boys were staying at downtown and Bloody was with this DJ chick who he told me blew all the members of KISS. He said we could share her but that did not happen thankfully. I felt bad for her she seemed like a nice girl and I did not want to add to her nightmares. From the Hotel room you could look across from the window at the back of the room and see the rooms across as all rooms faced the courtyard in the middle. So Bloody ended up flashing this couple who returned the favor. Sick but true. Dave did not share what he told me with Bloody and the boys drank and hung out while Bloody & The DJ took off. I grabbed a cab and headed back to the airport hotel hoping the band would stay together but alas it was over.
The video has been seen by lots of people but I never have seen it. I would like to but there is other footage of them from other shows that is great that I have seen.
The Band recorded a full CD and because the song "Black Little Heart" was in rotation at a radio station or 2 we decided to do a CD EP with 2 versions of Black Little Heart as well as a remix of Empty and a new song "Unclog Your Drain" which is a great final new tune for this great band Bloody & The Vaynes! Get them or download the tunes you like at your favorite emusic shop!

True to the punk rock scene the band was on a crash course to nowhere. Bloody & Dave are still good friends to this day. Dave wrote the song "DiveBar Superstar" about Bloody and it was recorded on the Bloody & The Transfusions CD. A great tune that is a Bloody Mess Classic!

Now what else do you wanna hear about?

YOU ASKED FOR IT SO HERE YOU GO!

GG contacted me that he was playing a show at a place called Populous Pudding in Willimantic CT which is east of Hartford CT and about an hour or so drive from where I was living in RI at the time. It had been a while since GG played in New England, in fact I think the show in Providence at The Rocket was the last show before that. Needless to say a lot of us wanted to go so Larry and I both drove our cars full of our pals and headed out to the show. Larry brought his buddy Dean and I can't remember who the other 2 were and I traveled with Donnie Schlock, Joe Buck, and Bob Peezo. The club was an illegal club per say. It used to me a meat storage place or factory building, there was a merchandise table in the front room where they collected $$ for admission, and a large room in the back where the bands played. There were bathrooms and a big dressing/band room and that was the entire place. No food or beverages were sold that I can recall and no bar for sure!
As I had not seen GG play in a while I borrowed a video camera from a friend of mine to film the show. At this time those devices cost close to $1000.00.
When we arrived at the club I met GG and all of us went into the band room. I met his band "The Disappointments" for the first time and they gave me a 7" record they had put out. This band was the one that GG was with when he was with the woman who GG cut that ended up landing him in jail. Per my conversations with GG (not this night) she asked him to "Cut me like you cut yourself" so he did. The Judge told GG that even with consent he did not have the right to cut her and that is why he was found guilty. GG contended that he was found guilty based more on footage the jury watched of his live shows. So basically he was convicted more on what he did in his stage show than the actual charge of cutting this woman. I was not there but others have shared that opinion with me as well and I believe it to be the truth. If someone else did the same thing they would of gotten probation or suspended sentence. He was convicted because of who he was not what he did!
So back to the show story. In the dressing/band room we caught up with each other and then GG pissed on my pants leg. He exclaimed "Now I have pissed on all my record labels" When I said what the fuck he said "don't feel bad I pissed in Cosley's hair". Wow I am so grateful... I guess. And yes I washed the pants so if I still had them they would not be a collectable (for you sick bastards who would buy them...).
There was a kid there who was smoking outside that Joe Buck spoke to. He was bragging about keeping a cat in his refrigerator for a few days that he eventually killed. More about him to follow.
The show began with a set by the Disappointments then GG came out. You can see the show on video. There are 2 versions the one I filmed that only covered the first 4 or 5 songs and the more available version of the whole show. This is best known as the show where GG has a dead cat on stage with him that he, lets just say, did things to. As the show began Joe Buck was yelling at GG for blood and GG and he exchanged words as the band played behind it. Bob Peezo threw a chair at GG and it was not as cool as it was in the early 80's. Times had changed from the goon squad days and when Joe Buck began kicking GG in the chest they ended up fighting on the floor and GG said to Joe (according to Joe) "please Joe not tonight" and I think GG did not even have to ask. The crowd was not into Joe beating up GG at all. So Joe disappeared after a few songs. Then I noticed a big guy in the audience had grabbed the carrying case for the video camera I had borrowed. I told Donnie to get it. Donnie asked the kid for it. He gave the wrong answer by takling a swing at him with the case. Donnie punched him and gave him a flying kick and he dropped to the floor. Donnie gave me the case and said to me. That kid is bleeding and out cold we need to get out of here. So that was the plan get the guys and split. Meanwhile Joe was beating the hell out of the kid who killed the cat in the bathroom. Joe loved animals and was not happy about hearing this kids story. Peezo pulled Joe off him telling him Joe you're gonna kill him. Joe calmed down and said he was leaving. Bob came out of the bathroom and told me Joe was coming. He didn't Donnie had to get him as Joe was still back there kicking the kid. When they both came out I told Larry we had to split. Donnie then disappeared. I found him in the band room he was trashing a few guitars there. He smashed on on the floor Pete Townsend style saying "I always wanted to do that". Finally we left with Donnie telling the kid at the door (the promoter I guess) you best call an ambulance there a few people that need some attention back there.
On the ride back to RI the gys fell asleep. I woke them saying hey guys I just heard on the radio the CT state police are looking for us. I heard on the radio 2 youths were hospitalizedand the cops are looking for the people who assaulted them. After 20 minutes of them sweating it out I told them I made it up.

It was one crazy night and you could say the final night of the goon squad. As I said before we never called ourselves that but I do think the name fits!

Next story?? Ask me I'll tell it !

Maybe the story about this show at The Rocket in 1987

Larry Evilelf  (pronounced EVIL ELF not ef-elef)

Where to start? I’ll try from the beginning. I met Larry back when I was in High School. One of my classmates Joe Moss who worked at Burger Chef got a union job at the supermarket chain Almacs, he told me to apply at Burger Chef and I got the job.
On my first day on the job I met Larry. He liked Joe so he took a liking to me and kind of trained me along with the managers.
The classic training moment I remember quite vividly was how to clean the Pay Toilet on the outside of the building. Larry hooked up the water hose and said “Don’t touch anything just spray the water. You don’t want to touch anything it is gross (he pronounced it gaaa-rossssss) ! I have lots of funny stories from those days almost all including Larry. (one of my next blog perhaps).

Larry and I became close friends and we used to meet up after work and head over to my parents house where I had a room in the basement where friends would gather all too frequently. Even on nights I did not work Larry would show up between 11PM and midnight. He got a nickname from that, we called him The Midnight Elf! Me and my buddies used to sit around listening to music and making cassettes of music and us doing skits we mailed to 2 of my pals who joined the Air Force. Man do I wish I had those tapes today, they would really bring back memories!
I do have 2 of them that we made to play for others that stopped by and a few of the skits with Larry made the “Music To Make Your Ears Hurt Trey” CD. Larry was a character for sure. Bright and a great sense of humor. His favorites in music were more folk music like Arlo Guthrie, Harry Chapin but he also liked other stuff we listened to and his pal Roger who sometimes stopped by got him into KISS (me too I guess). I was into Zappa, Captain Beefheart, The Fugs and more of the underground or alternatives to Led Zep and other big bands at that time. Soon Punk rock would alter my tastes.

Fast forward to the 80’s Larry and I were still friends and in 84 Black & Blue Records was begun. It was all me at first then Larry got involved when he came with me to a Music seminar where Larry met John Radcliffe of Northwinds. Larry really liked them and he convinced me to sign them and he ended up as the producer for the Sleep With Evil album.

From there Larry worked with Bloody Mess & The Skabs on 6th Grade Field Trip and produced that album.

From there Larry became “The Voice” for the Black & Blue compilations with the first being “Music To Make Your Ears Hurt” where the first “Elf Talk” appeared.
He also was the voice most often heard on the greetings for the infamous Black & Blue Answering machine. (Wish I kept all those but we erased over and recorded new) I still have a few to be featured on future compilations from the label.

Larry became close to Algae Afterbirth and began booking all the shows for them and booked a lot for The Cedar Street Sluts too.

He also introduced me to the manager of UK band GG Goose (guh guh goose) Philippe Beau and was instrumental in the eventual signing of them but not with that name.

Mick Horgun who was with me the day we got the demo tape. Larry was excited and had us listen to the song “Spider Girl” which was kind of disco. Horgun said “Tell them to change their name to Blue Nouveaux and we will sign them” We laughed and then I told Larry that Mick was right and so Larry told Beau that and sure enough that is how Blue Nouveaux was born.

Mr Beau (originally from France living in FL) came up to RI to meet me to finalize the signing. Larry said let’s take him to a Red Sox game or something. I told Larry “He’s French, best to take him to a Titty Bar” . Well we did and Beau loved it saying over and over how beautiful the dancers were. Larry said that I was right as it sealed the deal.

When Celia Hemken arrived in the USA for the first time to tour and record Larry was one of the first to meet her.

Larry assisted in booking a Northeast US Tour for them supporting the "Darkness In Me" album.
After that concluded he began to produce the 2nd album.

Sadly before the album was completed Larry passed away from a premature heart attack. I am happy to say that the recordings have finally seen the light of day and I hope I did him proud.

Larry met GG only once at the infamous Populus Pudding show in the dressing room before the show. He had seen GG perform a few times before that but never met him. (did I blog on that show??? if not I should)

I miss Larry a lot, think about him often and have become closer to his friends as we sometimes gather to reminisce about the man. He is survived by his 2 daughters and his loving wife. While Larry is gone he lives on forever at Black & Blue, at least as long as I am still involved.  Long Live The Midnight Elf!

Ok then. Today I decided to clean out my garage and there was one box that had a bunch of old Black and Blue mail. I know a lot of you are not as old as me. When i was younger people wrote letters and spread jokes we send in emails as photocopies and a lot of the images were Low quality ect...
Anywhoo there were catalog requests, orders, media, agents and sales pitches. What I want to share are 2 gems (which I am mailing both to Merle) that brought back 2 short stories.

The Bloody letter
No not a letter from Bloody Mess but there were some of those too including a flyer for the infamous Bloody Mess & The Skabs afshow at CBGB's on Jan 5th 1991. Check with Bloody or Gabby for real details, I was not there.
Hey i know a lot of people have seen or gotten blood stained letters  myself included BUT...
In Feb 1992 a letter came from Lakewood CA from a Veronque. She  must of really had a crush On GG. It was addressed to GG care of Black & Blue. Back then Larry Evilelf would on occasion pick up the mail and this letter was on one of those days.
OK the letter is self explanatory, a simple love letter in menstrual blood to GG.

Well Larry opened it and howled "YEAH, CHECK THIS OUT" So I did and eventually told GG about it and he told me to keep it. (Why did I keep it?)
Anyway it was one of many strange things sent to Black & Blue for sure. My friends can view it in my pictures under extras

The Greek Letter
For some reason I have gotten a good deal of mail over the years from Greece. In March of 1997 I got a letter addressed to GG care of Black & Blue again but this time I could not share it with GG.
Anyway I get this letter (see my pictures) asking GG for a autographed photo (not uncommon) and " I want some cassettes with sounds of throwing up and stomach pain by girls because I prepare my theatrical performance PAIN AND STOMACH THROWING UP based on the Prana Healing Philosophy. This performance is a Glorification of the Strong Woman, who has accepted a lot of tortures from the societies"

Anyway As I continue to go through all the boxes of pre 1999 stuff if I find any gem or if a good story/memory pops up I'll be sure to share it with you!

Hey Peter - In that interview Jimmie Bengtsson did with you for his Swedish Scum Nation site you..re telling a little bit about a guy called Joe "Codori" Buck, some stuff he did at some GG shows, ect. But I would really like you to tell us a little bit more about this guy. Who was he, how did you start to know him from, ect. Hope you have a story for that one. Later and cheers, Lasze!!!

Sure thing Lasze!
Joe's story is one of a legendary nature. If anybody was in the so called Goon Squad it was Joe.

I met Joe through my pal Mick Horgun back in the early 80's. After attending his first GG Allin show at the first location of the infamous Living Room where GG and The Jabbers opened for Cheetah Chrome, Joe was with Mick and Jock Kabarian (not sure of spelling) who was the guy who threw the egg that hit GG perfect on the forehead with yolk intact dripping off his face. GG always thought it was special because so many people in attendance remembered it. Anyway Joe was there with a bottle of Log Cabin Maple Syrup which he was adding in to glasses of Milk or Cream and tossing them at opening acts. Once GG came out it was that and eggs. Jabbers bass player Al Chappelle has told me his amps are still stained from the eggs and the India ink eggs people were chucking.
Enough of that show as the question was about Joe. Joe was basically at almost every GG show and almost every show I attended back then. A show I recall was Joan Jett at Lupos where Joe and Mick spit on her and yelled out things like you slut, wretched whorebag, actually it got a lot worse. Joan was amused by the tauntings and would respond by introducing the next tune. What a night, I'm sure Joan remembers it I doubt she got abused more at any show.
Joe loved to abuse verbally and physically especially bands. One of the most infamous nights ever was the show in Boston at Mavericks where he uprooted 2 palm trees near the stage and best GG hard. The palms broke off as Joe whipped him and after 1st tree was only 8 inches long he grabbed the other one. Joe trashed the place along with his buddy Schwan and Schwan’s brother as well the infamous Prince Paully who we always said was a fountain of spit (he never ran dry). I have blogged on this show previously so let’s end it there. I could write lots of show stories about Joe but to end this let me go over Joe himself.  I promise as I write more blogs I will be sure to mention Joe.

Joe had a nickname for everybody he met. As an example one night I was with my pal Tommy D and his good friend Steve who I knew thru Tom. Steve was a very soft spoken guy. So we run into Joe and Mick and Tom says Joe meet my friend Steve. Joe replied "you mean Gay Steve". Tom responded "no it's just Steve", Joe barked back "That's not what I've heard". Tom never liked Joe after that and just for the record Steve was not gay at least nothing ever led me to think that but soft spoken people out there probably know how this goes. I am not a homophobe nor do I care what someones preferences are. Back in the 80's it was not as acceptable and if you were called gay or whatever it was a typical insult and rarely involved ones real status. You probably asking yourself gee Peter what nickname did he have for you? What did he call GG? He called him SqueeGee or Geeeeeeg.

Joe worked in resturants as his day job. He was a chef at some points in some 4 star or better locations.
He owned his own Fish & Chips resturant and had 2 locations for the place before calling it quits.
I have some 8mm silent movie footage "Never Released" that has GG me and Joe lip synching "Live Fast Die Fast" before the real video was made. We filmed it at Joe's 2nd location and the nearby park accross the street. Maybe I'll get it transfered to video someday. I have not viewed it in years.
Joe was with me the day I filmed the B&W interview where GG and his girl are sitting on his bed getting interviewed by Linda Beaujolais. I should write a blog on that day but to be brief. The panties GG is sniffing came from this lady who lived in same building as GG. She saw Joe and tried to get him to come visit her by chucking him her panties. Joe brought them into the apartment and threw them towards GG. After when GG found out whose panties they were (and I know this may be hard to believe) even GG Allin was grossed out! TRUE!!!!!

One of Joe's resturant buddy's Chef Mike was a look alike for Rod Stewart (especially for drunken woman). Joe used to approach the women and tell them Rod could not speak too loud to preserve his voice. They used this to score strange for quite some time with this gag.
Outside of music shows Joe was an interesting guy for sure. His mom remarried a successful man who really tried to bond with Joe and to some extent they did. Joe got his resturant financed that way. Thing is having access to money at a young age can cause issues/problems. Joe was a good looking guy or at least you would agree if you went to his funeral. All his ex's except his wife attended. It was sick at the service where I overheard some of his ex lovers discuss his member and cocksmanship. It was both funny and disgusting.
Joe always had a good looking woman in all the time I knew him and he would bang anything. He took a girl with him to Laconia biker thing one summer (I was told this, I was not there) and she spit his stuff on his pants leg and when Joe noticed it later he made her clean it off with her tongue. He supposedly gave her to some other guys there and left without her. Legend or Truth?
I introduced Joe to New York City and it was pre Giuliani so it was a lot sleazier then even in Manhattan. 42nd street had all the Live Sex Shows and other XXX places. Joe insisted we go to the Live Sex Show so we pay 5 bucks each and go in. We got 2 beer tickets and the prostitutes would bring them to you and separate you from who you came with. The sluts kept asking "you want to get a private show?". Well stupid me I paid the 10 bucks since the beer was warm and it turned out to be a private room to negotiate pricing on sex. I lost another 28 dollars getting blowed with a rubber on and said to myself "So this in New York". Not one of my brighter moments. Anyway I exit the room and go to the theater section where girls stripped on stage. Joe saw me and gave me shit saying where was I and he had been fighting off these whores for some time. We left. The next day Joe was pissed that he did not get any so this time I sat in the theater area sipping warm shitty beer while Joe was banging away. Sadly the bitch introduced him to heroin which I did not know about for 2 years. The reason I say sadly is Joe got hooked and it was his cause of death. Mick Horgun did not attend his funeral because as we all know Junkies Steal. I feel lucky as he never stole from me that I know about. Joe died somewhere in NYC and at his funeral his last girlfriend told me how Joe always talked about me, Larry and Black & Blue Records. It kind of took away a bit of the guilt I still feel today for bringing him to NYC.
Joe was partially responsible for the end of LORDS OF THE NEW CHURCH. At a show at the second location of The Living Room Joe kept spitting on Stiv and Dave Tregunna(sp) the bass player hit him over the head with his guitar and almost killed Joe. Joe really got heavily intro the junk after that. The Lords never played again in USA as Joe told me Tregunna had a warrant waiting for him. At the last Dead Boys show ever at Boston's THE RAT Joe spoke with Stiv about the situation and stuff I guess.
When I was working with NJ Metal band Leviathan Joe Larry and I drove down to a show in Jersey and I never got to see the show as Joe got tossed by security for smoking clove cigarettes. Security said it was pot. Either way Joe was wasted and I never did reconnect with the band. I still did not know he was a junkie and neither did Larry. It was a long night of driving back and forth to NJ about 10 hours.
Joe's last GG show was at The Populous Pudding in CT. Joe is in that video kicking GG and fighting with him. While rolling on the floor GG told Joe please Joe not tonight I wan't to finish the set. The era of fans beating GG was over GG attacked his fans at that time. Before the show GG had us all in the dressing room (Me, Larry,Don Schlock, Peezo, and whoever else came in my or Larry's car. GG Pissed on my leg that night in the dressing room and was excited saying he now had pissed on all his record producers. He said I was lucky as Cosley got in in his hair. Oh that GG!  I'll blog more on that show at another time it's a good one!

The end of Joe's life was sad. His step dad had to go to NYC to ID the body, it was a very sad wake.

I prefer to remember the night Billy Idol played The Living Room (2nd location) and Joe and I got tired of waiting for Billy to hit the stage. So we went to dressing room door kicking it and yelling "Get the Needle Out Of your arm and get on stage you junkie piece of crap" or something like that. Billy was not amused and when he finally did come out he said to the crowd "who was calling me a junkie?" and Joe responded by yelling at Billy. What a great night!
Thing is I still did not know Joe was the junkie, Billy I have no idea about as I never met him .

Life is complex and so are people. Joe was my friend, I miss him and wish he could of survived those crazy years that somehow I did. Joe was part of Black & Blue and it is his voice on Music To Make Your Ears Hurt "Looking For Larry" in a phone message he left on the BNB Answering machine. I'm sure Joe will be mentioned in future blogs

Long Live His Memory!

Current mood:  horny
While GG Allin was incarcerated he and I decided to put together a new lineup of Cedar Street Sluts to record the newest Black & Blue Album. Lena Luna, Ginger Lee and Holly Would together with a bunch of musicians known as The Johns recorded and released Songs By Working Girls in 1988-89.
Ginger Lee, originally from South Fairfield, CT, took the Mayflower route to the upper Manhattans madam and finally left ship and increased her "fan male" to orgasmic proportions!
Holly Would, more than a play on words, from Sunset Boulevard, CA which is better known as the "Street Of Sin". This is where Holly put new meaning to the word WOULD. What she would do is really entirely up to you and your wallet.
Lena Luna enjoyed the fruits of the tourist trade in the Cape Cod area of Massachusetts. She has many ties to state and federal tax revenues and is commonly seen at most political functions as someone's house guest. Her name has been mentioned in some political morals investigations for sure.
Together they formed the "Menage a Trois" called THE CEDAR STREET SLUTS. Collectively they took little time in seducing the best musicians available to create the unique sound known as Slut Rock.
Captured on the debut album are 3 of Allin's greatest tunes along with new classics like "I Want To Blow You" the censors were alerted! they finally split in 1993. This Album is a milestone now looked back upon as much ado about nothing. It was easier to be censored in 1988 than 2008!
After their first east coast tour Ginger Lee left the band to chase down a former band member of one of Johnny Thunders bands. She was replaced by exotic dancer Ali Trash who spiced up the act with onstage outfit changes covered up only by the strobe lights. With this new lineup the band was heralded in music press throughout the world as one of the most provocative stage acts. Always on the run and being harassed by many local law enforcement units sent to shut their shows down just because of the bands name.
The success the band received also caused the division in the ranks when they embarked on filming music videos. Holly Would and Ali Trash did not agree with me on casting limits and it was not my rule but the video studio's limit. They had a list of about 50 people they wanted to be in the videos. Not being able to do so led Holly to convince Ali to quit so they did and split to pursue solo careers.

Just as it seemed the band was through, Lena tracked down Ginger Lee who returned with cohort Rita Rude the Romanian Gypsy Love Goddess. This trio received attention with not only live shows but television appearances as well as the video release of their debut album. Ginger again left the band in 92 and was replaced by the vocally strong and emotionally psychotic Raven DeRuin. Raven in her audition stated “I’ll be da ruin of us all”. While you could not pinpoint the demise to Raven
the band finally split in 1993 after a final gig in Newport RI.

Lena and Holly have both recorded solo material for Black & Blue compilation albums and full releases may be in the future.

Rumor has it a reunion album is in the works too! And like most rumors I start they end up as a CD!

Your blog states that you'll answer any question (granted that you know the answer) .. and if you've answered this before then my apologies ...
On the EMF album, how many of those tracks actually have a band and how many of them are just GG? It's obviously a different band than what we later hear as the Scumfucs. Its long been my belief that a lot of those songs are GG on all instruments. Am I way off base here?

Thanks for asking. Sadly I do not know the exact people on every track of EMF but you are correct that GG did a lot of it himself but not 100% GG on any song.OK on Blowjobs it was all GG and God of Fire in Hell it was too. But the songs that sound like a band are.  The master tapes were all on cassettes which I still own. Side A was originally a 7" EP with the original Scumfucs and then new material was recorded that was mostly or all GG. The EMF album features the later Scumfuc's on Teacher's Pet, I Wanna Fuck Your Brains Out and I Wanna Rape You all off another GG EP, these were added bonus tracks to the original master tapes for the current LP version.. The early Scumfucs included Chris Lamy and Al Chappelle from the Jabbers. While the quality of both the recording and performance are low this CD is one of, if not GG's most popular Album. GG always said it was his favorite!

There is a CD you can buy called Live At The Channel by Iggy Pop. That show, as you can hear mostly supported Iggy's "Instinct" album. But that is not my story kids. That night was the only time The Cedar Street Sluts (ala "Songs By Working Girls album) met GG in person. I rode up with Lena Luna, Ginger Lee and Holly Would to The Channel. GG and Tracy were going to meet us there. I saw GG briefly inside the club and he told me he was going up front to meet Iggy. I guess sticking your hands down Iggy's pants and grabbing his balls when Iggy dived into the audience to surf over them is meeting him? Anyway it sure made GG happy, he was very proud of it. We all met in the parking lot after the show and exchanged show talk. The Sluts somehow were charmed by GG and his ball grab. The Sluts began coresponding with him by US Mail that continued when he quickly returned to prison. There was no internet to speak of in 1988 let alone myspace. His corespondances were not always pleasant.  Sometimes they contained threats of rape and violence. Lena Luna says she will never forget the envelope filled with his piss (I'm not sure if that was while he was out of jail but it makes sense it would not get past the prison mail security). Tracy was not interested in meeting The Sluts so the meeting was brief in the parking lot. Not my best story but it needed to be told!
