An update on the computer dealio, apparently it wasn't the charger ( which is good, I suppose. That thing cost a hundred dollars.v_v -facepalm) but instead the bitch herself.


My baby :(  The laptop doesn't even want to come on, so  I have to get it repaired for real....>____< 

Good thing it's still under warranty, and the person who got the computer as a gift, said that he would gladly pay for any damages, etc.


He's soooo nice.^^ I am putting off it getting fixed until the damn inspection is over.


Inspection is the time that I spend my days on my hands...and ...knees...scrubbing. oh the bleach it buuuurns!


So yeah, I am hoping ithe computer is fixable and that don't lose all my shit. which, hopefully, if things go my way,  I won't. positive thinking~!


Speaking of the positive, no not britney spears choking on cum or something like that, I DID get my book in the mail.


Death Note : Another Note was fabulous ( spoilers ahead)


Due to the fact that I've been reading DN fanfiction for almost a month...I knew who B was, and Beyond Birthday, and the fact that he looks like L, I even knew he ate jam -shudder-. I love jam, but apparently not as much as him.

It was only 176 pages, so I finished in the course of a couple of hours ( I think) .

It was a reallly good read, and I enjoyed it :DD

Cunt waffles! I am re-doing the "school" blog. Because I can, that's why.

 

 

 

So, today was my last day of school. Not just any last day, no. the last, last day of High School. I needed to go out with a bang. So to speak. So I decided to dress up in costume, I have a new obsession , to go up with ranks with Jrock. PSOH, and House..and that's Deathnote ( in case you didn't notice)

 

 

I've been asking my local friends what character I should dress up as , the majority response has been L. I don't' understand why..perhaps it's because I fidget ( not in the same manner, but I still fidget and fiddle nonetheless) perhaps it's my body mass, but I went with the major opinion, and did it.

So anyways. So High School is over, and I am happy, maybe a bit melancholy, but not really. I mean the people I really care about are close by ( except for Fallon), but other than that, Jessi ( who dressed up as Light, and REFUSED to be shackled to me. -.- there goes my BDSM fantasies with me screaming you're kira, you're kira…..>:P I KID!}

 

Now I can dye my hair hot pink! Ka-ching!

I went to the movies today, and it seems to me  a lack of "good" movies. everything seems to be a copy of something else, or a sequel. that being said, yes, I did go to a re-make of something . something I was kinda into when I was younger...SpeedRacer.

I dreaded going to see it, not knowing what to expect. SpeedRacer is an anime-given a very old anime.....and I barely remember the plotlines. XD


So I expected something so cheesy that I couldn't appreciate it...but I got a smack in the face.


if it isn't anything else, it's eye-candy, hence the title of this blog. Everything was soooo bright and colorful, I can't help to imagine what it would be like on ecstacy. It was .....beautiful.

The racing scenes were spectular, really. I would go to see a race if they were like the scenes that were played out before my eyes.

True, it was cheesey at some parts, but it was humorous too. It was a live-action movie...and there were a couple hot asian guys who looked exactly anime characters...XDD



So, I obviously enjoyed it..even though I can't get the theme out of my head!

The art debate.

So I got into a heated debate, an argument, a discussion, a flat-out skirmish about "art" and what's unique.

On one side we have Mr. M < --- not his real name, obviously, who's a firm believer and appreciator of renaissance era artwork, AKA Realism. He states that this the greatest art form, outshining all other art forms, abstract, modern, etc…..and 'anime-style' stuff.  He claims that this is the most unique. Realism is about proportions, etc., and the way he talks about it, it's more about the calculations rather than the actual art.

I am more of an anime-is style artist. More of a Tim Burton inspired Anime with a touch of fashion designer thrown in. I believe in unique-ness and individuality when it comes to art. So what if the proportions aren't exact, and so what if the shading isn't precise.

 

Art isn't supposed to be about "Calculations", it's supposed to be about creativity, self expression. He essentially stated, not in words, but this is the impression I got, that my art isn't unique, that another can reproduce it, and it's essentially crap compared to, say The Creation of Adam  ( a piece of art done by Leonardo Da Vinci)

 

I am not saying I don't appreciate "realistic" art, I do. I can understand the effort that goes into it, and the skill, but saying it "outshines" the other work?

 

Not exactly. I don't think so. I can look at a Tim Burton creation, say like the Corpse Bride movie, and go wow, that's fucking brilliant, and immensely beautiful. -.-   and then look at a  painting from the 1660's, and go ..Wow…That's mastery.

There are many forms of art, and they should all be recognized as something great. No matter if you don't like the subject manner.

I don't have skill at doing realism, so I am not an artist? Really, you don't say?! That's rude. I don't attempt to be "unique", I just am. I am sorry if I draw anime-ish style and every teenager happens to be like that.

 

Most bring a different angle to it.

 

Furthermore, This "Mr. M", doesn't even draw most of the time.  Which, essentially, means he's not an artist and what does a kid who doesn't even draw even have the right to criticize something? One shouldn't sit there and talk as if they know something when they can't even do it.

If you go to Long Beach High School, you would already know about the wondorous Art Show >:3 True, they didn't let my " Burly Q Kitten : Dita" In, but meh, I got over that....after steaming awhile about it.


That's okay, because I can keep it up in my room. ^_^

Anywho, I am off track again. I do that. My mind wanders, like an ADD kid..except I don't get drugs :/


So, I put another picture in, a large surrealism/Fantasy piece featuring a fae, golden sun goddess thing, surrounded by planets, and glitterly cloud things. it was done with paint ( aryclic <----- Gosh, that's a hard word :( ) , oil pastel, and Gliiiiiiiiitter.

I put it for sale, though I thought that noone would buy it, well not at my school. I have a very unique art style that it is either you like it or you don't. simple as that, or so I thought.

I had it up for twenty bucks, A fair price in my opinion.


So I walked into art class today and I was proved wrong about someone not wanting to buy it. LOL. It got bought by Ms. Bush, for her friend who likes faeries ^_^

So, yes, I am beaming and happy.

This is the first, and as of yet, the only picture that has been bought at the art show. it's even cooler because I am such a freak XDDD
