PRESIDENT EVIL are “Back From Hell’s Holiday.
“ The guys’ sound is fresher, more determined and more energetic than ever. The band from Bremen is setting off a firestorm of twelve granates (plus intro and outro), thus confirming how damned cool Rock’n Roll can be.

PRESIDENT EVIL are children of the Nineties. At this time, musical borders opened up and all of a sudden everything was allowed. Their heroes were SLAYER and ANTHRAX, but also KYUSS, SLIME and DOWN. Founded in December 2002, the band’s jumping-off point was heavy riffs, kick-ass grooves and throaty vocals.

On the new track “Black“, one line goes “I am different, yes I am“, being sung by none other than

ex-ANTHRAX singer Dan Nelson. PRESIDENT EVIL has always been different, venturing into new realms with every publication.

The group’s keystone are the two EPs “The Electromagnetic Superstorm“ und “Evil

Goes To Hollywood“, both published independently. MTV got interested, inviting the band to the studio in order to perform the track „Deathcar Racer“ live for the TV programme “Rockzone“.

Soon, the band signed its first record contract. In 2006, the Independent Label AFM Records, by now residing in Hamburg, having produced bands like MINISTRY, EKTOMORF etc., published

the group’s legendary debut “Trash’n’Roll Asshole Show“, produced by Andy Classen (DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER/The apocalyptic horsemen a.o.). Numerous tours followed, with PRESIDENT EVIL playing support for BETZEFER as well as for MINISTRY/FEAR FACTORY

(among others). Al Jourgensen labelled the group as being “the hardest working underground band.“ Ever since, he is a member of the dedicated community of fans.

In 2008, the second album, “Hell In A Box“ followed, this time exhibiting a rougher, clearer Punk attitude. The album was produced by Guido Lukas (SMOKE BLOW, HARMFUL a.o.).

A video clip was shot for the theme song of the same name. The group went on tour again, this time as support for the newcomer band VOLBEAT, and, afterwards, for the “Scumdogs Of The Universe“, GWAR.

In 2009, the group suffers several setbacks. Leadsinger Johnny Holze throws in the towel in order to concentrate on his tattoo studio. Guitarist James Lars falls seriously ill, so that the band is put on hold for almost two years. Then, the disease is defeated. Behind the mike, new lead singer Neal McCocker is a tremendous live wire, whose charismatic singing opens up whole new worlds.

Under the direction of the group’s buddy, Timo Hollmann (Live sound, a.o. SÖHNE MANNHEIMS, DONOTS, WIRTZ), a dozen musical pearls come into existence, e.g. the straight

“Priest Of Rock’n’Roll“, the in-your-face opener “Dirty Cage“ or the terrific “Never Ending Sin Of Life“. The latter is graced with the voice of Chris Birx from MOTORJESUS.

What were the lyrics again? “We need no drugs to fly“ - no, we don’t, since Rock’n’Roll is the best and healthiest drug of all. “Back From Hell’s Holiday“ provides a huge overdose of this drug. It is an authentic album, meant to sound as it does: real and raw, like on stage, without numerous effects and without playing around.

With this blast of an album, mastered by Vincent Sorg (PRINCIPAL STUDIOS), the band goes on the offensive. The guys from Bremen will be rewarded for their album’s quality and its massive vigour.
