Hello!

Me and Attilio have broken up. Now each of us will do his own way. So we're not going to write this blog anymore.
Don't worry for me: everything is ok.

We're still in Istanbul, and we leave tomorrow.

If you want to contact me (Sara), my email address is payacuchita (at) yahoo.com

ciao ciao!

Hello our international friends!!

We're now in Istanbul!! This city is enormous (15 millions of inhabitants!!), and it has a very long history, that we love to hear from the people we meet.

Yesterday we visited the historical quarter, with the blue mosque (Sultanahmet mosque) and Hagia Sophia...

We went out with our hoster, and went smoking narguile in a typical place. We crossed the Bosphorus channel with a ferry, we tried some local food, we walked in some of the multiple centers of Istanbul...

We saw some muslim women with scarf... here there are lots of women who wear like western style, some who have a small scarf only on the hair, and some who wear a black full-covering one.

Something strange is that in turkish schools and universities women cannot wear scarf at all!! (like the so much discussed law in France some years ago)

Istanbul is beautiful! We must see it better during next days!

hey! hola!

We're in Thessaloniki. Just spent the night in a internet cafe and we're leaving in a couple of hours to Istambul... everything is going all right.

The day before yesterday we met my parents in Volos, a nice place, where we've been hosted by a friendly motorbiker... we don't have time to write... see you in Istambul!

We finally arrived in Greece and we're now in Ioannina. We will leave tomorrow to Volos.

At the border between Albania and Greece we were hitch-hiking and it was night. An albanian guy stopped and took us to Ioannina. He hosted us (but we had never met him before!) and spent the next day with us showing us the city...

That was really great... and albanian people are simply wonderful!

We're still very happy about the trip, but quite tired. Attilio has some fever and he's now sleeping...

Maybe in next days we'll also meet my parents, who are now travelling in Greece by their own...

We've already done half of our trip, but we didn't decide yet how go back and through which countries...

After Balkans and Albania, Greece seems so much a normal european contry and it's sooo similar to Italy (but they have wonderful sweet things!), it's anyway nice.

In this moment we are on the way between Durres and Vlora (or Fier?). This night we slept in Durres, and now we have no place... we will ask to a member of hospitality club in Vlora (Valona)...

Albania is fantastic: very friendly and people always will help you!! Unfortunately it's a poor country, with caotic traffic and lot of waste in the streets...

Lots of people speak italian, and lots of things in the supermarkets are imported from Italy. Albania seem to be a satellite country of Italy and Euro zone.

Hello!!

We're now in Ulcinj. We don't access to internet since ten days!!

We've been in Sarajevo 4 nights (and one hour in Visoko!), where we've been hosted by a fantastic crazy guy who looked like Dean Moriarty in "On the road". We were hosted togheter with three english hitchhikers and a spanish biker who wants to go to Alaska.

Then we've been in a "freak farm" near Mostar.. and we also visited Medugorje.

We spent one day in Dubrovnik, and we slept in the street because we had no hosters..

We slept in a public beach also in Bar, yesterday night. And today we finally have a room here in Ulcinj.

Tomorrow we leave to Albania, probably Durres or Tirana..

Everything goes well!!

Hi people!!!

Trip is going very well!!

We didn't have the occasion to write for a long time because we didn't have a computer...

After Ljublijana we went to Zagreb and spent there two days. We planned to spend there only one night but our host, Ivan, was so great that we decided to stay one night more!
He has a lovely dog, Kanja, who has her own profile on hospitality club! and she left us a comment!!

On sunday morning we went to the big market, a place where you can find really everything!

Then we left in direction of Bosnia... not passing by hi-way, but by normal street. It was interesting because we saw some war zones, with mine fields and destroyed houses..
A person who drived us also told us some history: the occupation, the bombings, and so on...

We took a lot to arrive to destination: we have been unlucky, but all the people we've met were so gentle!

We write now from Prijedor, in the north of Bosnia and Marco is hosting us. He is a friend of us (study at our university) and he works here for the agency of local democracy...

Prijedor is a quite small city, but it has a nice river to swim in.

The day before yesterday we went to Ljubija to visit some bosnian families who lost their houses during the war, and now they get help by some families from Trentino for rebuilding.

Tomorrow morning we leave to Sarajevo, by hitch-hiking of course...

Current mood:full of energy
Hello! We are in Lublijana now!!

We left Pisa on 17th, we spent more than two hours to arrive to Florence, then we hitched a ride to Verona and, finally, to Venice.. our plans were to arrive to Trieste, but we were so unlucky that we waited more than two hours without anything!! It was almost night, and we decided to spend a night there, because we had a friend there.

"On the road" we met some funny drivers, and also two french 18yo hitch-hikers who made a Paris-Venice in four days.. the God of travelers, or who instead of him, gave them the opportunity to take a ride to Trieste instead of us, because we had a place to sleep in Venice. We saw them leaving on a white big truck...

We spent two night in Venice, and met new Davide's boyfriend.. we slept four persons in the same bed!

Then we left on wednesday (19july) and hitch-hiked to Trieste. We had a walk in the city and, mainly, a wonderful-orgasmic frappe' (milkshake) in a famous cafe' in Goldoni square. If you go there ask for "frappe' al gianduia"!

We went back on the hiway and a truck driver took us to Ljublijana and was so gentle to call our host and explain him the meeting point!
We met Greg, an about 30yo nice guy who is actually hosting us. He has a big house outside the city, and this morning took us to the center.
We visited also a big squat called Metalkova. It was very coloured!

Tomorrow we leave to Zagreb in the early morning.

Current mood:  pleased
Hi people!

I didn't write for a while because I was on holiday in France, with my parents. I hosted here some people when I was in France: the last ones were two english hitchhikers...

And when I arrive today I found a terrible house! I found lot of garbage to trow away and everything to clean... but...

It doesn't matter. I'm happy because I came back from Frace by hitchhiking and it was the first time I did it in France and it worked very well and I spoke a loooot of french and I met interesting people...

Now I'm in Pisa, very happy about my trip. I have an exam next week and Attilio is arriving tomorrow morning...

ciao ciao
