Spunk Ends After Only One Week!

Many thanks to everyone who came to The Buddha Lounge at Sake Tumi last Friday night for the first night of Spunk! We appreciate each and every one of you who came by to check it out. We received many positive comments and were looking forward to our first recurring weekend event in a smoke-free venue.

After only one Friday, PUMP! is disappointed to announce that Spunk, at the Buddha Lounge, has already come to an end.

Without going into lots of details, we can say that there were too many items of disagreement between the owners, management, and us, for the night to continue.

We are in the process of negotiating with other bar and nightclub owners who would like to bring PUMP! to their venues and welcome our community to their establishments. At least one of those venues has expressed an interest in a recurring weekend event.

We're optimistic that Spunk will be back early in 2009; and as always, we'll keep you posted.

Again, thank you for your support last Friday and always.

SPUNK DEBUTS THIS FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH

For years you've been asking us when we were going to branch out and host a weekend event. For years we've waited for the timing to be just right.

Finally, after six years of PUMP! Sundays, three years of Babylon Thursdays, three years of the Dance Pavilion at PrideFest, a couple years of Served Chilled along, with a handful of other events, all the pieces have fallen into place to make our first recurring weekend event a reality.

Join us this Friday night, November 14th, for the debut of Spunk, PUMP's first-ever weekly Friday night event.

Our goal is to make Spunk Fridays your primary weekend destination. To do that, we've picked a location that is second to none. We've also picked a venue that you're going to like... large enough to accomodate plenty of people, but small enough to make every Friday night a party! We've lined up a staff of talented bartenders. Some will be familiar faces from our other events. Others will be new to the PUMP! Crew. We're going to be offering a unique menu of cockails and beers to set this night apart from others in the city. Musically, we'll have some of the best DJs that Milwaukee and the Midwest have to offer. Last, we'll be scheduling other surprises and special events to ensure that Spunk becomes, and remains, your destination of choice for weekend entertainment.

One last note about Spunk Fridays: Spunk is going smoke-free! It's only a matter of time before all Wisconsin bars and nightclubs will be smoke-free. Already, the bars and clubs that you attend in many locales such as Chicago, Madison, New York and California, have smoke-free policies. We realize that this policy will be a bit of an inconvenience for our customers who smoke; and we apologize in advance. Check us out anyway! We think that you'll have such a good time the the inconvenience of going outside to smoke will be worth it!
