The opposition gave up before they started. Stop. No excuses anymore, frankly I don't want to hear it. IF anything this year 2009 has been the year of lies, take backs, more lies, excuses and then..the famous.."We just have to wait - we can't, we just can't..we don't have the votes, we have to wait our turn.." OH SHUT IT. Next week will be my year in review and year ahead blog. Rachel's in's and out's - but I think you can see which way I am headed. Regardless...citizens of the nation formally known as FREE..we will see over the Christmas break, the burning of the airwaves, phone and text..Harry and Nancy are going to set this bill in stone. This is more important than winning a damn election in 2010 or even 2012 - this will FOREVER change one of the most important relationships you can have, between your doctor and you..It will also break the trust I had with my government..that is gone forever. Nice Obama. Well, what you need to know is the term 'ping pong'. After reading Louise Slaughter's Op-Ed, it is clear that a conference is not going to take place between the House and Senate..so it will be a convergence of Leadership...meaning Harry and Nancy decide..as if there was any doubt. We are back to where we began a year ago, when so many told me to "CALM DOWN" "GIVE THEM A CHANCE'...thanks Big Talkers, we did..Happy? PING PONGNorth Dakota Senator Kent Conrad, chair of the Budget Committee, has
already warned that if the final bill "isn't close to the Senate bill,
there will be no way to get the 60 votes here" to shut off debate and
pass the final product. But many House members, led by Michigan Rep.
John Conyers, are insisting on major changes in the Senate's version.
Mr. Reid and Ms. Pelosi would love to come up with a way to bash
heads in private and skip any public discussion that further reveals
just how incoherent and unworkable both the bills are. Luckily, there
is a subterfuge readily available that wouldn't require the House to
swallow the Senate's bill unchanged but also ducks the traditional
give-and-take of the conference committee.
When Democrats took over Congress in 2007, they increasingly did not
send bills through the regular conference process. "We have to defer to
the bigger picture," explained Rep. Henry Waxman of California. So the
children's health insurance bill passed by the House that year was
largely dumped in favor of the Senate's version. House Ways and Means
Chairman Charles Rangel and other Democrats complained the House had
been "cut off at the knees" but ultimately supported the bill.
Legislation on lobbying reform and the 2007 energy bill were handled
the same way -- without appointing an actual conference.
Rather than appoint members to a public conference committee, those
measures were "ping-ponged" -- i.e. changes to reconcile the two
versions were transmitted by messenger between the two houses as the
final product was crafted behind closed doors solely by the leadership.
Many Democrats grumbled at the secrecy. "We need to get back to the
point where we use conference committees . . . and have serious
dialogue," said Rep. Artur Davis of Alabama at the time.

I have lived in this state my entire life, I pray soon that will change...however, it is what it is. I know NYS Politics. Take a mixture of Chicago and California and roll it up, shake in a bit of back slapping "Brotherhood" like from the series (in Rhode Island) and you pretty much have a political hell. That is NYS. Oh, but it gets better..have a party, known as the Republican Party of NY (socialist lite) that could care less about agenda, principle or the state and is more interested in preserving the Rockefeller label and you have the very reason why we are held hostage. The Conservative Party..please...where? Show me..The Conservative Party of NYS often hooks up with the Family Worker Party on the ballot!! Can this change? Well, even NYS voted for Ronald Reagan twice. Surely it can..and this might not be such a bad move on Rudy's part. The past is the past and we do we need new blood, no one can argue with that - the question is in NYS, it's a game of 'who do you know, ' combined with' entitlement.' Is it 'your' turn to run? The Conservative, GOP, even Independents of NYS are a urban legend..although every few decades they pop up..this is not one of them. What little hope I did have of at least taking the Governorship has faded....all is not lost for true NYS hostages...but I would not stop digging your tunnels for states south. Paterson will not win a primary challenge against Cuomo. The entire Democrat party will back Andrew Cuomo in such a forceful way that there is nothing that will stop him. Tonight the Libs rejoice..for NYS is safe in their Senator and Governorship..and Rudy is free to pursue life...he earned it.
Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani is expected to announce Tuesday he is not running for U.S. Senate or anything else in 2010, effectively ending his storied - and often stormy - electoral career, The Daily News has learned.
The announcement, at which he'll also endorse Republican Rick Lazio
for governor, marks the end of a year-long political dance by Giuliani,
who mulled bids for governor and then Senate before backing away from
both.
He had reason to weigh each run: surveys showed him a clear favorite
to win primaries for either office, and as recently as last week a poll
showed Giuliani crushing freshman Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand by 10 points.

Ahhhh, this is Obama's army...train the civilians for Afghanistan to listen and sip tea. I refuse to accept this, consider this my 'denial' of day. Even I need one. While the table-flat farmland around here hardly evokes the Hindu
Kush, this is where the government trains Americans who are part of the
most ambitious civilian campaign the United States has mounted in a
foreign country in generations — a “civilian surge” intended to improve
the lives of Afghans. In one mock encounter, a team of Americans
visited a district judge in Kunar Province, played by an Afghan émigré
who actually had been a judge back home. The Americans listened
patiently as he explained why his court had a backlog of cases, leaving
the nearby jail overcrowded.
Tea was sipped and heads nodded
gravely, until a man playing the local police chief (another Afghan who
once held the job in real life) leapt to his feet and began berating
the judge, saying that his corruption would send frustrated family
members to the Taliban to get swifter justice. The head of the American delegation tried to placate the chief by promising to come up with a solution. Nobody here calls this nation-building — the Obama administration’s new strategy for Afghanistan
studiously avoids that term — but it is certainly a crash course in
helping to rebuild a damaged society. And it supports the ambitious
civilian effort laid out in the president’s approach. ONE LITTLE PROBLEM..... After the American trainees, clad in bulletproof vests, were hustled
into an armored convoy by troops with automatic weapons, their
instructors told them they had goofed in the role-playing encounter
with the judge. “They assumed the Afghans’ problems,” one of the
instructors, James W. McKellar, said in an interview afterward. “We
told them, ‘You can’t do that. You’re not there to solve their
problems. They have got to build up their capacity themselves.’ ”Oops...it's the global socialist thing..but but but, we have to help...it's Bush's fault..THEY ASSUMED THE AFGHAN'S PROBLEM...sorry, folks that is the way of the Obama road..the great I CARE..bang your dead.

Sometimes we are in such dark places, no matter what circumstances we find ourselves, that we forget what the meaning of Christmas is ...I am not talking about commercialism I am talking about hope, trust, peace and love. God keeps His Word. God Loves you. No matter what or who says otherwise, His Son is your greatest gift. The Ultimate Christmas Gift. The Original. In times of such deep darkness, when the world seems empty and you feel alone..remember that Christmas comes and with that miracles, love and life. Longfellow wrote this during the height of the Civil War..when peace seemed so far away..........and after great personal tragedy. It reminds me of the story behind "All Is Well With My Soul.." but that is for another day... I HEARD THE BELLSLongfellow "I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
And thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along
The unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
Till, ringing, singing on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime
A chant sublime
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
Then from each black accursed mouth
The cannon thundered in the South,
And with the sound
The carols drowned
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
It was as if an earthquake rent
The hearth-stones of a continent,
And made forlorn
The households born
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
And in despair I bowed my head;
"There is no peace on earth," I said;
"For hate is strong,
And mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!"
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead; nor doth he sleep!
The Wrong shall fail,
The Right prevail,
With peace on earth, good-will to men!"
MERRY CHRISTMAS

I, along with most you, watched the debate and then the vote. Joe Lieberman took the train late from CT to get to DC on time for the vote - by one vote, America is one step closer to another loss of freedom. One by one the Senators rose to give their statements. No need to recant, typical from all sides - the Dem and GOP talking points stood firm and we are the ones who will pay the price. The full price, our health. As the vote came in, (Reid had them call their names from the desk, added drama), a sense of doom fell over that Senate. It was palpable. The GOP looked like they would get physically ill, the Dems looked like they knew the cost of this vote but feared Rahm more. Those of us on Twitter were at first angry..then sad. All felt like we were at a wake, then it hit us..we were: America's. America has now faced it's first test, post Obama, it failed. When I say America I mean the Congress, those that are supposed to represent the people in our Republic. The Congress has lost sight of who has the power. The president is no longer a office, it's all about the man. The Courts remain silent, (SCOTUS), yet it is not their fault, they await a challenge. You and I are now on our own. It's pre '76, 1776. We know the procedure of the vote. We know Congress. Yes, this has to go through reconciliation - The House is already putting up a fight and the Senate knows it faces a huge hurdle is any part of this bill changes - yet by the end of the week now, we are to have a health care bill. A health care take over. I look to see how soon employers drop coverage in the new year, how many of you lose coverage or see your premiums rise - how many are forced into exchanges, you and your employer. The Secretary of HHS will determine if your plan (on conjunction with a state board) is acceptable, if not, it does not get certified, then what? Ah, another exchange for you...and on and on and on.. But once again it is not the whats and whys of this bill - its the arrogance and tyranny it represents. The Gov't will not dictate to you who and what you need to do to go to the doctor, which doctor, what he or she can do for you, what you must have for coverage, what coverage..choice is only relevant for abortion, the rest is no longer a choice. The Left gets their agenda one step further and we must face the fact that we are living in a POST American society. I hate this dramatic nonsense. I never thought that we would come to this day. We have. We can not deny it. And to be quite honest, I am deeply saddened by it. Five days before Christmas, and it looks like by Christmas, we are forced into a situation that we believed could never happen to us. The once sacred relationship between you and your doctor is gone. We are about to enter a land that our European and Canadian brothers have warned us about - but we did it anyway. Where will we go when we are denied care - back alley's? Interesting, they keep abortion but force us into the shadows. Not America right? You are shaking your heads thinking somehow this will change, this can't stand. There is one hope. I have never called on you to call anyone. I simply don't believe it will do a bit of good. It has gone too far. However, in this case there is one. The Blue Dog Dems. It will be the Democrats that stop this not the GOP. The GOP refuses to do what they must. The Dems will do whatever it takes to keep their seats. Therefore use their ego. The GOP I find useless. I saw that tonight. The GOP in the House must promise, bribe and cajole those Blue Dogs for the good of this nation and so must we. I know this sounds wrong, but we must do what we must to save this nation from those that are in power. Health care is very dear to my heart. I do believe we need to change a few things. No doubt about it. I know it well. The changes to come will make the citizenry weaker in so many ways, mind, body and soul. Is this what the global socialists want? To beat us down so deeply that we shrug our shoulders, say, "what can we do," "they all are bums"? Cries for Revolution are being heard. Cries from people I never thought I would hear it from - and they are right. The Constitution is the barrier between us and the Declaration of Independence. Think about that....when the Constitution or the law is torn, there is only one document left that holds this nation's principles...........Let us save the one before the other is all we have to keep this nation as one. It is that bad. The faces of those Senators told me so..and my heart tells me so... Kill this bill.........now.

Bernie Sanders, the loud mouth Progressive, always complaining about the PROFIT TAKERS, took some huge profit taking when he was promised $10 Billion Dollars for his state to secure his vote. Next is Ben Nelson, who, caved on the lives of unborn children, and accepted billions for his state in order for his vote on this Senate bill. There is an unspoken trust that exists between the people of this nation and their government. I have hesitated to say that it has been broken, but it has. Once that is broken for me, it is over. I no longer believe that this government we have sitting can be trusted with the most fundamental role they have, to protect the Constitution, let alone keep their word. Money, money, money and more money. I suppose in life as in gov't, the more money one has or attains the better they are seen by those that support them. This whole thing has made me despondent. Waiting until 2010? Yea, fine, it's only a few days away..the next thing I am sure we will hear about is how all of a sudden 45 million criminals have been made POOF- American citizens! How much for a vote Senator? Billions now huh? I guess that puts us, the ordinary American on the short end of that deal....No sunshine here today, sorry. We all knew that something, some sort of bill would get jammed through. Yes, Yes, this has to go through conference, and yes yes the Senate has not yet voted on the final bill..hey, that's your Christmas gift! - but I am also sure that Nancy is making deals as we speak with those 'moderate Dems' and 'principled Progressives.' Senate Democrats announced a deal Saturday morning on a wide-ranging
overhaul of the nation’s health care system, setting a course for a
vote by Christmas and delivering President Barack Obama a badly needed
victory on his top legislative priority.
A 13-hour negotiating session that stretched into the night Friday
finally clinched the support of the last Democratic holdout, moderate
Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.), with a handshake deal that cleared the way
for a series of votes that could stretch until 7 p.m. Christmas Eve.
“Change is never easy,” Nelson told reporters. “I truly believe this
legislation will stand the test of time. The lives of millions
Americans will be improved.”

If only we had a nation of men like Sheriff Joe! He is a very prolific Tweeter and he let us know of this yesterday, but this article from the WaTimes is full of all the details..leave it to our Sheriff Joe to fight the masses and unfaithed. PREACH IT ON JOE!! And I hope you have a sing along.....
Sheriff Joe Arpaio- the self-proclaimed "toughest sheriff" in America
- likes Christmas music, especially "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"
and anything by Alvin and the Chipmunks, and apparently he thinks the
8,000 inmates inside his Phoenix jail should, too.
So it was with some glee that his Maricopa County office
announced Thursday in a red-and-green press release that the "sixth and
perhaps final lawsuit" brought by inmates to stop the sheriff from
playing the holiday songs all day, every day, during the holidays had
been dismissed in federal court.
"We keep winning these lawsuits. Inmates should stop acting
like the Grinch who stole Christmas and give up wasting the court's
time with such frivolous assertions," it read. "But chances are they'll
keep suing and we'll keep winning."
Frostyyyyyy the Snowmannnnnnn...

Good, read it. Read the whole bill, read the Constitution, read the Betty Crocker Cookbook - I don't care what you read..but opposition you stand up there, ala Mr. Smith, and stop this evil monster bill from even getting voted on. That is exactly what you should do - you are the last line of defense. Do not allow the media, the cables, the blogosphere or anyone to sway you otherwise. STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR US. We will be there..watching..both sides..know your Senate rules, know the procedure well, use them, wisely...and hold the line!!!!!!!! And Al Franken....HUSH YOUR MOUTH.
Midnight sessions. Testiness. Rancor. Collegial courtesies obliterated.
Clerks forced to read gobbledygook legislation for hours on end as the
clock ticks toward Christmas.
So goes the debate on health-care reform in an institution that
boasts of being the world's greatest deliberative body. Certainly it's
one of the quirkiest, governed by rules and procedures of antediluvian
vintage.
Democrats anticipate that the GOP will insist that the full 2,000-page bill be read as well in days to come. Sessions are likely to go round-the-clock.
"I've never seen anything like this," said Jim Manley, spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid
(D-Nev.). "They've got a strategy here -- they just want to bollix
everything up. They're overplaying their hand. This is heading into the
theater of the absurd."
Republicans argue that the Democrats are ramming through a huge,
costly piece of legislation worked on largely in secret and shot
through with accounting gimmicks.
"This is a far-left bill," said Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah). "Where have Republicans been asked to participate in this?"
Olympia J. Snowe,
the Maine Republican who has been frantically wooed by Democrats, said
the legislation is too important to rush. "Why not use January as an
opportunity to continue work through these issues?" she asked.
**and if that all fails...there are always duals...KIDDING..but verbal dualing is always welcome!**

Remember the grand plan of Afghanistan? We were to concentrate on the cities in AFGHANISTAN because that is where the fight was with the terrorists...ah..well oops, the UNINTENDED consequences are that the mountainous regions of the no man's zone is being flooded into the cities of PAKISTAN! **CUE CIVILIAN OUTRAGE ** **CUE NO FIRING ON CIVILIANS** **CUE DRONE OUTRAGE** **CUE WRONG COUNTRY** now what?? Obama........what did you do?? Obama has fired more drone attacks in this past year than Bush! This is a disaster waiting to happen, then again I believe the intention is not unintended..it is intended..happily so..strengthen the outer regions of Afghanistan, keep the routes open and concentrate the cities and roaches with Pakistan..oh wait that would be the Islamofacists goal....oops, wrong goal. MORONS. Yes, we know all about the Pak connection ,the corruption..blah blah..I am not going to rehash a 25 year obvious fact, what is happening is that the enemy is taking advantage of the weakness in ROE and also leadership of Barack HUSSEIN OBAMA. ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN-- Militants forced to flee their havens in Pakistan's
mountainous tribal areas are establishing new, smaller cells in the
heart of the country and have begun carrying out attacks nationwide,
U.S. and Pakistani officials say.
The spread of fighters is an unintended consequence of a relatively
successful effort by the United States and Pakistan to disrupt the
insurgents' operations, through missile strikes launched by unmanned
CIA aircraft and a ground offensive carried out this fall in South
Waziristan by the Pakistani army.
American and Pakistani officials say the militants' widening reach
has added to the challenge for both nations' intelligence, which must
now track an insurgent diaspora that can infiltrate Pakistan's teeming
cities and blend seamlessly with the local population. A Pakistani
intelligence official said the offensive had put militants "on the run"
but added: "Now they're all over -- Afghanistan, North Waziristan and inside Pakistan."
"They have scattered their network and structure," said Muhammad Amir Rana --------- NO REALLY? NOT ONE MORE MAN GOES OVER THERE< NOT ONE MORE!

Some sort of something. A non binding handshake with fingers crossed behind the backs was reached. Now if one of the country's has an economic downturn, an emergency..they get out..if, if .............oh and don't forget, they will agree to lower the temp of the climate by 1.5 degrees. ( I heard the Sun objected but was over turned by the Moon) ..Now let's move it, Obama has a snowstorm to get back too!! Here it is.. President Barack Obamasaid the United States, China and several other
countries reached an "unprecedented breakthrough" Friday to curb
greenhouse gas emissions - including a mechanism to verify compliance -
after a frenzied day of diplomacy at the U.N. climate talks.
The agreement, which also includes the developing nations of India,
South Africa and Brazil, requires each country to list the actions they
will take to cut global warming pollution by specific amounts, a senior
Obama administration official said. The official described the deal on
the condition of anonymity because specific details had not been
announced.
The deal reiterates a goal that eight leading industrialized
nations set earlier this year on long-term emission cuts and provides a
mechanism to help poor countries prepare for climate change, the
official said.
But it falls far short of committing any nation to emissions
reductions beyond a general acknowledgment that the effort should
contain global temperatures along the lines agreed to by the leading
economic nations in July.
A European Union news conference to announce the EU reaction was
postponed and an official said an overall agreement involving those
nations not included in the deal that Mr. Obama announced was still
being negotiated.
